Naga Thirumalesh Chevala,Suryaprabha Matangi,Naga Pavan Kumar Chevala,Gulshan Mohammed,Sarvan Mani Kiran Seethamraju,Rama Rao Nadendla 한국약제학회 2015 Journal of Pharmaceutical Investigation Vol.45 No.6

The current research concerns the development of the formulation of fluoxetine HCl (anti-depressant) oro flashes the new prospective by using solvent casting method. Oro flashes are quick dissolving oral films and the materials used were hydrophilic. Fluoxetine HCl formulations were developed since oro flashes improves bioavailability to attain onset of action, along with the patient compliance. Fluoxetine HCl is used to treat major depressive disorder, bulimia nervosa (an eating disorder), obsessive–compulsive disorder, panic disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) undergoes polymerization and forms oro flash film. Five different formulations were developed by using different polymeric concentrations of PVA. Polyvinyl pyrollidone K30 (PVP K30) used as super disintegrating agent and plasticizer, whereas menthol and mannitol were used as sweetener, flavoring agent respectively and water as a solvent system. In the study five formulations (F1, F2, F3, F4, and F5) were evaluated for the properties such as thickness, folding endurance, drug content uniformity, surface pH, in vitro disintegration time, dissolution studies, % moisture loss, % moisture uptake, weight variation test, conductivity test. Results revealed that, F3 formulation can be considered as best, which has morphological features are homogenous and transparent with optimum thickness 0.23 ± 0.02 lm, folding endurance (>250 times number of folds on the same crease), drug content uniformity (λmax at 225 nm) 97.60 ± 1.28, surface pH 6.654 ± 0.020, in vitro disintegration time 11 ± 1.20 s, in vitro dissolution studies 97.30 ± 0.75 %, % moisture loss 5.021 ± 0.052 %, % moisture uptake 3.634 ± 0.102 %, weight variation test 48.74 ± 1.0, conductivity test 61 μS which has maximum drug release (97.3 %) which facilitates maximum bioavailability.

Identification and Characterization of EST-SSRs in Finger Millet ($Eleusine$ $coracana$ (L.) Gaertn.)

Naga, Bheema Lingeswara Reddy Inja,Mangamoori, Lakshmi Narasu,Subramanyam, Sivaramakrishnan 한국작물학회 2012 Journal of crop science and biotechnology Vol.15 No.1

In recent years, microsatellites have become the most used markers for studying population genetic diversity. The increased availability of the DNA sequences has given the possibility to develop EST-derived SSR markers. A total of 1,927 ESTs of $Eleusine$ $coracana$ available in the NCBI database were mined for SSRs. Di-nucleotides are the most occurring motifs accounting for more than 50% of the repeats, of which GA was the most abundant motif and tetra-nucleotides are the least occurring motifs. Of the 132 markers identified, 30 primer pairs based were synthesized. SSR markers were used for variety discrimination and genetic assessment in 15 finger millet accessions; 20 primers showed polymorphism and 13 primers were identified as having a PIC value above 0.5. On the basis of the distribution of these polymorphic alleles, the 15 accessions were classified into two groups. This study has demonstrated the potential of EST-derived SSR primer pairs in finger millet. These primers will serve as valuable source for further breeding programs.

      • A New Control Scheme to Process Ripple Power Through Isolation stage of the Three-stage Solid State Transformer

        Naga Brahmendra Yadav Gorla,Sandeep Kolluri,Merlin Chai,Sanjib Kumar Panda 전력전자학회 2019 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2019 No.5

Three-stage solid state transformer (SST) consists of a multilevel AC-DC converter in stage-1 followed by dual active bridge (DAB) isolated DC-DC converters in stage-2 and a three-phase inverter in stage-3. The output filters of stage-1 are designed to filter both switching frequency based harmonics and second harmonic ripple generated due to singlephase power processing. As a result, the use of less reliable electrolytic capacitors in stage-1 is inevitable. In this paper, a new control scheme is proposed for the SST to transfer the second harmonic ripple current from the output of stage-1 to the output of stage-2 in each phase. When the three phases are connected at the output of stage-2, the second harmonic ripple currents which are phase shifted by 2π/3 radians add to zero. As a result, the capacitive filter requirement at the medium voltage DC (MVDC) bus is reduced, which is realized using reliable film capacitors. The operating principles along with detailed mathematical analysis and simulation results are presented.

Effect of interface in hybrid reinforcement of flax/glass on mechanical properties of vinyl ester composites

        Naga Kumar, C.,Prabhakar, M.N.,Song, Jung-il Elsevier 2019 Polymer Testing Vol.73 No.-

Abstract

Hybrid fiber-reinforced thermoset plastic matrix composites are increasingly being used in automotive applications, owing to their high specific strength and modulus. In this study, hybrid composites were manufactured by means of hybrid reinforcement; that is, biaxial glass and woven flax fabrics in vinyl ester resin with various stackings were created via the vacuum assisted resin transferee molding (VARTM) process. The manufactured composites were tested for their mechanical properties (tensile strength, modulus, flexural strength, and impact strength) and verified by means of morphological analysis. The results demonstrated rather unexpected phenomena, such as the tensile strength of the pure woven glass fibers (85.16 MPa) being lower than that of the hybrid composites (143.21 MPa). The flexural tests indicated that the strength (305.46 MPa) is higher for composites with glass ply at the bottom surface, and composites with glass ply on both ends exhibit high impact strength (0.145 J/mm2) compared to others. A water absorption test and thermo-gravimetric analysis were also performed.

Highlights

Glass-Flax fabric/Vinyl ester Hybrid composites were developed by VARTM process.

The tensile strength of the composites lay on the interfaces between glass fabrics and flax fabrics.

The tensile strength of hybrid composites is more than the pure glass fabric composites.

The hybrid composite is competent to glass fiber composites which reduces the weight, cost and environmental pollution.

      • Multi-step Internal Nitriding of Tungsten-titanium Alloys

        Nagae Masahiro,Yoshio Tetsuo,Takada Jun,Hiraoka Yutaka,Takida Tomohiro 한국분말야금학회 2006 한국분말야금학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.2006 No.1

Internally nitrided dilute W-Ti alloy specimens having a heavily deformed surface microstructure were prepared by a multi-step internal nitriding at 1573-2073 K. Primary nitriding below their recrystallization temperature induced a precipitation of ultrafine TiN particles. After secondary and tertiary nitriding, those precipitates grew into rod-like TiN with a length of 20-60 nm. The recrystallization temperature after nitriding was elevated above 2073 K. The yield strength at 1773 K obtained from nitrided W-0.5 mass% Ti alloy was about 5 times as large as that of the recrystallized specimen. DBTT of the nitrided alloys was about 373 K.

Review on the Usage of Deep Learning Models in Multi-modal Sentiment Analysis

Naga Durga Saile K,Venkatramaphanikumar S,Venkata Krishna Kishore K,Debnath Bhattacharyya 대한전자공학회 2020 IEIE Transactions on Smart Processing & Computing Vol.9 No.6

In recent years, Sentiment Analysis is reshaping the business operations of many organizations by monitoring their brand reputation on social media and acquiring insights from customer"s feedback. Sentiment Analysis is one of the classification tools that identifies and extracts the subjective information of a product. This subjective information can be stated in different ways, such as feedback, discussions, blogs, podcasts, and video logs. This type of information generated by the empowered customers is known as user-generated content, which is traditionally in the form of words. The analysis was performed on a huge number of words using Natural Language Processing (NLP), which is a Unimodal Sentiment Analysis. With the rapid growth in the usage of the Internet, social media turned out to be a platform to share the thoughts of the individuals. This caused researchers to migrate from the traditional Unimodal analysis to Multimodal Sentiment Analysis, which includes video, audio, and images. This approach leverages the use of emotion and content and helps identify the scope and polarity of an individual’s sentiment. With the latest deep learning algorithms, Multimodal Sentiment Analysis can solve the problem of sarcasm identification. Multi-Modal Sentiment Analysis generates more accurate results compared to Uni Modal Sentiment Analysis. Therefore, this study aimed to define Sentiment Analysis and review the approaches and techniques in Sentiment Analysis from conventional Unimodal to Multimodal. In addition, this paper discusses a Multimodal Sentiment Analysis architecture using a transformers attention net.

Revitalization of necrotic mature permanent incisors with apical periodontitis: a case report

        Nagas, Emre,Uyanik, M. Ozgur,Cehreli, Zafer C. The Korean Academy of Conservative Dentistry 2018 Restorative Dentistry & Endodontics Vol.43 No.3

Despite considerable focus on the regenerative endodontic treatment of immature teeth with necrotic infected pulps and apical periodontitis, little data exist with regard to its possible implementation in necrotic permanent teeth with complete apical and radicular development. The present report describes the procedures and outcome of a regenerative endodontic treatment approach in 2 previously-traumatized incisors with closed apex with apical periodontitis. A 2-visit treatment procedure was employed. At initial visit, the root canals were copiously irrigated, followed by placement of a triple antibiotic paste containing ciprofloxacin, metronidazole, and clindamycin into the root canals. After 4 weeks, the antibiotic paste was removed, and apical bleeding was initiated with size 10 hand files beyond the apices. The root canals were coronally sealed with mineral trioxide aggregate, and the access cavities were restored with bonded resin composite. At post-operative 60 months, both teeth were remained asymptomatic, with the recall radiographs showing complete resolution of apical radiolucency and reestablishment of periradicular tissues. In both teeth, the dimensions of root space remained unchanged as verified by image analysis. The revitalization protocol utilizing root canal disinfection and induced apical bleeding in necrotic, closed-apex incisors may offer a clinically acceptable alternative to conventional root canal treatment.
