Dual major track in MMU has been operated for more than 10 years but analytical approach for the efficiency or appropriateness of that has not done yet. This kind of dual track in education and training of seafarers has developed on two aiming targets. One is to give flexibility in carrier development of seafarers between sea and shoreside job. The other is to maintain the function of MET institutions by recruiting enough new students. This paper is to survey the attitude of students for this dual track and to analyze it for adjusting the educational scheme through the questionnaire.
한중 국제여객선 항로의 운항 실태에 관한 연구 : 목포-상해 국제여객선 취항에 대비하여 To cope with opening Mokpo-Shanhai route

1990년 한-중 여객선항로가 개설된 이래 여객 및 화물의 양이 지속적으로 증가되어 왔다. 운항 초기에는 주요 승객이 소상인들로 구성되었으나 근래에 들어 일반승객으로 대체되고 있다. 또한 양국간의 컨테이너 화물도 정기 컨테이너선 항로가 개설될 만큼 확대되고 있다. 본 논문은 대 중국 여객선 항로의 실태를 조사 분석하고, 이를 현재 목포-상하이간 여객선항로 개설을 추진하고 있는 목포항에 적용하기 위한 것이다. Since Korea-China passenger shipping routes have opened in 1990, the volume of passengers and cargoes has been increased gradually. At the beginning of the routes, most of passengers are consist of tradespeople, who are replaced by common travellers in these days. Also the volume of containers between two country are enlarged enough to establish full container shipping lines. This paper intends to investigate and to analyse the current passenger shipping marker for China, and to apply to Mokpo which has a project to open passenger shipping route for Shanhai, China.

Port of mokpo has been opened as international trade port for more than 100 year in Korea and had been one of the major ports in the periods of Japanese colony. But the port activities have been weakened relatively to others since independence of Korean peninsula, especially in the era of industrialization and only it marks around 1% of total sea trade cargo volumes in these years. Fortunately, the government's policy to expand port capacity to meet demands of national port facilities, to balance regional developments and increasing trade volume with china encourage the port development project of Mokpo harbour. In port development, the scale of facilities and port layouts continuously influence the economics and port productivity, which need careful consideration for the factors in port operations and managements. In this paper, it was tried to assess the potentials and characteristics of Mokpo port and to propose principal directions of port developments in connection of geographical location, shipping business and present regional economy and industries.
셀룰러망에서 이동호스트의 이동성 예측을 위한 혼합 기법

이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서는 무선 단말기 사용자의 이동에 따른 접속 단절 현상이 발생할 수 있다. 이러한 이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서 끊김 없는 핸드 오프와 효율적인 호 수락 제어를 지원하기 위해서 사용자의 이동성 예측이 필요하다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 사용자의 이동성을 규칙적인 패턴과 임의적인 패턴으로 분류하고, 규칙적인 이동패턴을 예측하기 위하여 사용자의 과거 이동경로를 분석하며, 임의적인 이동패턴은 GPS의 정보를 이용하여 이동성을 예측한다. 이러한 예측 기법은 무선 단말기 사용자의 속도가 매우 빠르거나, 셀룰러 망의 셀의 크기가 작은 경우에 보다 효율적으로 이동성을 예측할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. The disconnection between users and base station may occur in mobile computing environment. Mobility prediction of mobile host is important for supporting seamless handoff and effective call admission control(CAC) in wireless cellular networks. In this paper, therefore history and GPS(Global Positioning System) information. We classify mobility into regular part and random part using mobility pattern history and GPS information, respectively. This proposed scheme effectively predict mobility for high speed mobile host and small cell size.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety of ship's passing and berthing in restricted water area by simulation. In this paper, the restricted water area which is the adjacent to DaeBul pier in Mokpo port was adopted. And also the safety of the restricted water area is evaluated ship's passing and berthing simulations of 500 DWT vessel using the port design simulator. For this purpose, through the on-scene investigation of the navigational environments such as wind, current, depth and geography of the water area were surveyed ad these informations were used as a basic data for the evaluation. from the simulation result, the simulated water area has been proved to be sfe from the simulation.

우리나라의 항만은 정부가 제공해야 할 사회간접자본으로 인식되고 있으며, 개발에 많은 재원이 소요되므로 정부에 의해 개발되어 왔다. 그러나 이러한 개발정책은 급속히 증가하는 항만수요에 대응하는데 있어서 재정적 문제에 직면하게 되었다. 이러한 배경에서 근년에 들어 정부는 항만건설에 민간자본을 유치하고 그 기업으로 하여금 투자재원을 회수하기까지 일정 기간동안 항만을 상업적으로 운영하도록 허용하는 방안을 시도하고 있다. 현재 여러개의 항만이 이러한 방식으로 개발되고 있으며 그 중 일부는 머잖아 개장하게 되는 시점에 있다. 그러나 이러한 항만들은 현 시점에서 볼 때 원활히 운영되는데 있어서 문제점들이 예상되고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 민자항만의 현황을 조사, 분석하고 문제점에 대한 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다. The port developments in Korea have been achieved by government because port needs large scale of funds for development and is recognized as SOC to be supplied by government. But this kind of policy has met budgetary problem to cope with rapidly ncreasing demands of port facilities. Thus in recent years, Korean government has tried to induce commercial, capital to the construction of port facilities and allow port company to operate the facilities commercially for given period enough to compensate the investment. At present, several private ports are under construction and some will be opened in the near future. But on this stage, it is expected come problems for the reasonable port operation This paper tried to scan and to analyze the current situation and also to find proper solutions.
