We describe a chirped pulse compression in which a sinusoidally driven phase modulator generates frequency chirped pulse that are subsequency compressed by a dispersive fiber. In contrast to other methods such as self-phase modulation, this approach of pulse compression does not depend on the optical power and thus shows promise for application to low-power lasers. Using this method we produce nearly transform-limited pulses of ∼14 ps at 10㎓.

Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease that mainly affects children and young adults, Its cause remains unknown. The incidence of pediatric Crohn's disease is increasing, so it is important for clinicians to be aware of the presentation of this disease in the pediatric population The majority of patients complain of abdominal pain (72%), with only 25% Presenting with the 'classical triad' of abdominal pain, weight loss, and diarrhea. Many children with Crohn's disease present in a 'non-classical' manner, with vague complaints such as lethargy or anorexia, which may be associated with only mild abdominal discomfort Other symptoms include fever, nausea, vomiting, growth retardation, malnutrition, delayed Puberty, Psychiatric symptoms, arthropathy, and erythema nodosum. Severe constipation and abdominal distension are uncommon symptoms at diagnosis. We report a case of pediatric Crohn's disease, which was diagnosed after the patient presented with severe constipation and abdominal distension.

본 논문에서는 이득 스위칭 반도체 레이저의 직접 변조에 의한 1Gbps RZ 데이터 펄스 발생에 관한 이론적 분석 및 실험 결과를 발표한다. 데이터의 패턴 의존 효과를 제거하기 위해, DC 바이어스, NRZ 데이터, 및 RF 신호 전류로 적절히 조합된 전류 파형으로 페이저를 동작시켰다. 각 전류 성분의 변화가 변조 출력에 미치는 영향을 탐구하여 최적 값을 결정하였다. 출력의 눈 패턴은 DC 바이어스 및 NRZ 데이터 전류 변화에 민감한 것으로 나타났으며, RF 신호 전류에는 비교적 덜 민감하게 나타났다. We present our numerical and experimental results of 1 Gbps return-to-zero data pulse generation by direct modulation of a gain-switched semiconductor laser. To eliminate data pattern dependent effects, the laser is operated by a current waveform which deliberately combines DC bias, RF sinusoidal, and NRZ data currents. The effects of change in each current component on the modulated output are explored and the optimum value of the current is determined. Our results show that the eye pattern of the output is more sensitive to the DC bias and NRZ data current and relatively less sensitive to the RF current.
DMA 가스 검지를 위한 ZnO 박막의 aging 효과

The DMA(Dimethylamine) gas sensors were fabricated with the ZnO-based thin films grown by a RF magnetron sputtering method. The characteristics of the sensors to aging conditions were investicated. The sensors with ZnO-based thin films aged for 72hrs at a temperature of 330 ℃ in oxygen showed high sensitivity, low working temperature and good linearity. The sensors with ZnO-based thin film doped with 0.1 wt.% Pt catalytics and aged for 72hrs at a temperature of 330 ℃ in oxygen showed the maximum sensitivity of 90 at a working temperature of 150 ℃ and to DMA gas of 160 ppm. The sensor was electrically stablized.

Today's and tomorrow's processors and I/O devices are demanding much higher I/O bandwidth than PCI 2.2 or PCI-X can deliver and it is time to engineer a new generation of PCI to serve as a standard I/O bus for future generation platforms. According to this demand the PCI SIG proposed PCI Express. This paper describes about the design of PCI Express Behavioral Model. A Behavioral Model enables the designers to test whether the design specifications are met by performing computer simulations rather than experiments on the physical prototype. In the proposed Model, we can verify whether our design concept satisfies the PCI Express functional protocol.

The DMA(Dimethylamine) gas sensors were fabricated with the ZnO-based thin films grown by a RF magnetron sputtering method. We investigated the sensitivity and response time according to temperature variation and DMA gas concentration. The ZnO-based thin film sensors sputtered in oxygen atmosphere showed higher sensitivity than those sputtered in argon atmosphere. The ZnO-based thin film sensors doped with Al_(2)O_(3), In_(2)O_(3) and V_(2)O_(5) and sputtered in oxygen atmosphere showed the maximum sensitivity of 218(working temperature, 250 ℃, DMA gas, 160 ppm) and speedy response time. The ZnO-based thin film sensors doped with Al_(2)O_(3), In_(2)O_(3), TiO_(2) and V_(2)O_(5), sputtered in oxygen atmosphere and aged at 330 ℃ showed the maximum sensitivity of 156(working temperature, 250 ℃, DMA gas, 160 ppm).

The defect model of nonstoichiometric rutile ( TiO₂-x ) has been studied by means of the electrical conductivity measurement as function of temperature and oxygen partial pressure(Po₂). The Po₂dependence of σindicates that the major defects in rutile are doubly charged oxygen vacancies and tetravalent charged interstitial titanium ions. The interstitial titanium Ti ??'''' prevails at temperatures above 1170˚C. But the doubly charged oxygen vacancy Vo " predominates at low Po₂and temperature under 1170˚C. The proposed defect model in rutile is consistent with our previous result which was investigated by the O?? tracer diffusion.
퍼지 페트리네트를 이용한 이산사건 시스템의 모델링과 모니터링

In this paper we focused on the Factory Automation System (FAS) consisting of the discrete event system and the continuous system. And also this paper presents the Petri nets based on the fuzzy logic with Petri nets and the hierarchy concept. Fuzzy Petri nets have been used to model the imprecise situations which can arise within FAS, and also the hierarchy concept allow to handle the refinement of places and transition in Petri nets model. The proposed system structure is composed of the supervisory controller and the local controller. When both controllers are executed transition, and then local controller transfers transition information (events) to supervisory controller. Therefore, if the system is considered the process failures this monitoring concept will offer failure detection method and diagnosis method. These will form the foundation of a simulator-tool with manipulation interface for application of fuzzy Petri nets. Finally, the application of the theoretical result is illustrated for an example of FAS such as Peg-on-Hole using articulated robot hand.

반도체 레이저의 이득 스위칭에 의한 초단 펄스 발생에 대해 체계적으로 연구하였다. 즉, 동작 파라메터인 DC 바이어스 및 RF 정현파 전력에 따른 초단 이득 스위칭된 출력 펄스의 특성을 조사하였다. 최적의 펄스는 문턱 전류 부근의 DC 바이어스에서 얻어졌으며, RF 전력이 클수록 이 최적의 DC 바이어스는 감소하였다. 출력 펄스 폭은 RF 전력이 증가할수록 DC 바이어스의 변화에 덜 민감하게 나타났다. We study systematically on short pulse generation from a semiconductor laser by gain-switching. We examine the dependence of gain-switched pulse characteristics on the operating parameters, such as DC bias and RF power. The optimum short pulses are obtained around threshold DC bias. As the RF power increases, The DC bias to show shorter pulse width decreases slightly and the pulse width becomes less sensitive to the variations of the DC bias.
