에틸수은 (methylmecury, MM) 이 소의 배양 희소돌기아교세포에 미치는 신경독성효과를 규명하기 위하여 여러 농도의 methylmercuric chloride (MMC)가 들어있는 배양액에서 신경세포를 24시간 동안 배양한 다음 이에 대한 신경특성을 MTT 분석법에 의하여 조사하였으며 또한 MMC에 의한 옥성효과에 대하여 항산화제의 방어효과를 분석 하였다. MMC는 처리한 농도와 시간에 비례하여 소의 배양 희소돌기아교세포의 생존율을 강소시켰으며 glutathione이 MMC에 의해 유도된 신경독성을 방어하였다. 이상의 경파로 부터 MM은 소의 배양 희소돌기아교세포에 독성을 나타냈으며 glutathione과 같은 선택적인 항산화제가 MM에 의한 신경독성을 방어하는데 매우 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

유선통신 시스템에서는 TDMA 타입의 랜덤 접속 방법들이 많이 사용되지만 무선통신 시스템에서는 TDMA 타입의 랜덤 접속 방법들뿐만 아니라 충돌을 줄일 수 있는 CDMA 타입의 랜덤 접속방법들도 많이 사용된다. 만일 적절한 전력 제어가 이루어진다면 CDMA 타입의 랜덤 접속은 제한된 수의 사용자들이 랜덤 접속할 때 검출 확률을 증대시킬 수 있다. 그러나 만일 전력 제어가 정확히 되지 않는다면 CDMA 타입의 랜덤 접속 방법은 성능이 떨어지게 되고 TDMA 타입의 랜덤 접속보다 오히려 성능이 나빠질 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 CDMA 타입과 TDMA 타입의 랜덤 접속의 결합 방법인 부분적 확산 랜덤 접속 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 정밀하지 않은 전력제어가 이루어지는 시스템에서 CDMA 타입의 랜덤 접속이나 TDMA 타입의 랜덤 접속보다 우수한 성능을 낼 수 있다. While TDMA-type random access techniques are popular in wired communication systems, CDMA-type random access techniques are used as well to reduce collisions for wireless communications. If proper power control is applied, CDMA-type random access can increase detection probabilities with limited number of access users. However, if power control is not precisely performed, the performance of CDMA-type random access is degraded and can be worse than that of TDMA-type random access. In this paper, we propose partial spreading random access, which is a combination of CDMA-type and TDMA-type random accesses. The proposed method can outperform both CDMA-type and TDMA-type random accesses for partially power-controlled systems.
한국 어른 광대뼈의 계측과 광대얼굴 및 광대관자구멍의 형태

얼굴모양에 많은 영향을 주는 광대뼈에 대한 재정인류학적 특정을 밝히기 위해 한국인 머리뼈 192예를 대상으로 광대뼈를 계측하고 비계측적인 특성들을 조사하어 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. l. 광대활사이폭 (bizygomatic breadth)은 평균 134 8mm (남자) 126 6mm (여자) 이었다. 2. 양쪽 Jugale사이폭 (bijugal breadth)은 117 3mm(남자), 110 1mm(여자) 이었으며 중간눈확폭 (mid -orbital breadth)은 53 5mm (남자), 52 2mm (여자)이었다 또한 위턱뼈사이폭(bimaxillary breadth)은 98 9mm (남자), 94 8mm (여자) 이었다. 3. 귀구멍점과 눈확바깥점 사이거리 (oder-tiefe)는 71 1mm(남자) 69 Omm (여자) 이었고 귀구멍점과 광대뼈사이거리 (ohrjochbeinlange)는 54 2mm( 남자 ),53 1mm(여자) 이었다 4. 광대뼈아래길이 (infenor zygomatic length)는 32 2mm (남자) 29 6mm(여자), 광대뼈최대길이(maxi-mum zygomatic length)는 54 5mm (남자), 50 5mm(여자) 이었다. 5. 광대뼈높이는 49 6mm (남자), 45 8mm (여자) 이었다. 6. 광대얼굴구맹과 광대관자구멍의 평균 개수는 각각 1 7 0 8개로 이 구멍들의 크기는 작은 것 (03mm_10mm)이 가장 많았다 7. 광대얼굴구멍과 광대관자구멍의 위치를 광대활의 위변과 눈확의 아래면을 이은선을 기준으로 아래부위 연경선위, 위부위(위 중간, 아래로 세분)로 나누어 본 결과, 광대얼굴구멍은 연결선아래 (몽통)에 있는 유형이 가장 많았고 광대관자구명은 연결선의 경계 부위와 이마돌기에 있던 경우가 가장 않았다.
Shearing Behavior of a Rupture Surface of Rock Under Thermo-hydro-mechanical Coupled Conditions

In order to investigate the shear behavior of a rupture surface of rock under various thermo-hydro-mechanical (T-H-M) conditions, a series of multistage triaxial tests were conducted on granitic rock specimens under various boundary conditions. Granitic rocks obtained from KURT (KAERI Underground Research Tunnel, a pilot testing facility in real size for high level nuclear waste disposal), were taken as samples. Cylindrical rock specimens were loaded under triaxial compression to induce a rupture surface, Later shear test was carried out on the rupture surface in a triaxial compression chamber to examine the shearing behavior at different boundary conditions. Due to the low permeability of the granitic rock, two water injection holes of 3 - 4 mm in diameter were drilled from the upper and lower surfaces of the specimen to apply water pressure on the rupture surface. For every test stage, the specimen was loaded to its next confining pressure level after it exhibited signs of sliding. Based on Mohr-Coulomb failure criterion, experimental results were analyzed. And the failure strength and peak friction angle of shear surface were investigated as well. The shear behavior was greatly affected by thermal and hydrological conditions and the variations under each condition were investigated quantitatively.

The present study was conducted to test a hypothesis that pork quality traits would be influenced by the systemic and/or local bioavailability of insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-l), transforming growth factor-ß1 (TGF-ßl), or epidermal growth factor (EGF) before or at slaughter. To this end, 60 cross-bred female market pigs weighing approximately 110kg were slaughtered, after which Longissimus dorsi muscle (LM) samples taken at slaughter (D 0) and blood samples taken at D -7 and D 0 were analyzed. The 60 carcasses rendered 36 RFN (reddish-pink, firm, and non-exudative), 16 RSE (reddish-pink, soft, and exudative), and 6 PSE (pale, soft, and exudative); 2 DFD (dark, firm, and dry) also were found but were excluded in subsequent experiments. The L*and drip loss were greater in PSE vs. RFN and RSE and in PSE and RSE vs. RFN, respectively, as they should (P<0.05). The pH45min was less in PSE vs. RFN (P<0.05); pH24h tended to be less in the former (P=O.09). The LM IGF-1 and TGF-ß1 as well as serum EGF concentration were less in PSE than in RFN. None of the other KM and serum concentrations of the three growth factors differed across the three pork quality categories. The LM IGF-I and TGF-ß1 concentrations and serum EGF concentrations at D 0 were negatively correlated with drip loss[r=-0.36(P<0.01), -0.44(P<0.01), and -0.32(P<0.05), respectively]. However, none of the serum and LM growth factor variables was correlated with L* or a* (redness) of LM. Taken together, results suggest that locally expressed IGF-l and TGF-ß1 and blood-borne EGF may have a beneficial effect on postmortem water holding capacity of the muscle and that pork quality traits could be predicted to some extent from concentrations of IGF-1 and TGF-ßl in muscle and EGF in serum at slaughter.
AI-CoV Study: Autoimmune Encephalitis Associated With COVID-19 and Its Vaccines—A Systematic Review

Background and Purpose Autoimmune encephalitis (AIE) following coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an underexplored condition. This study aims to systematically review the clinico-investigational and pathophysiologic aspects of COVID-19 and its vaccines in association with AIE, and identify the factors predicting neurological severity and outcomes. Methods Relevant data sources were searched using appropriate search terms on January 15, 2022. Studies meeting the criteria for AIE having a temporal association with COVID-19 or its vaccines were included. Results Out of 1,894 citations, we included 61 articles comprising 88 cases: 71 of COVID-19-associated AIE, 3 of possible Bickerstaff encephalitis, and 14 of vaccine-associated AIE.There were 23 definite and 48 possible seronegative AIE cases. Anti-NMDAR (N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor; n=12, 16.9%) was the most common definite AIE. Males were more commonly affected (sex ratio=1.63) in the AIE subgroup. The neurological symptoms included alteredmental state (n=53, 74.6%), movement disorders (n=28, 39.4%), seizures (n=24, 33.8%), behavioural (n=25, 35.2%), and speech disturbances (n=17, 23.9%). The median latency to AIE diagnosis was 14 days (interquartile range=4–22 days). Female sex and ICU admission had higherrisks of sequelae, with odds ratio (OR) of 2.925 (95% confidence interval [CI]=1.005–8.516)and 3.515 (95% CI=1.160–10.650), respectively. Good immunotherapy response was seen in42/48 (87.5%) and 13/13 (100%) of COVID-19-associated and vaccine-associated AIE patients, respectively. Sequelae were reported in 22/60 (36.7%) COVID-19 associated and 10/13 (76.9%) vaccine-associated cases. Conclusions The study has revealed diagnostic, therapeutic, and pathophysiological aspects of AIE associated with COVID-19 and its vaccines, and its differences from postinfectious AIE.
자기통합을 위한 그림자의 인식과 수용 -이금이 성장소설 <유진과 유진>을 중심으로

One of the most important subjects of human is human itself and life. Therefore, humans thoroughly examine themselves and their life continuously. More specifically, to those who are in modem lives in which one should pay attention to the outside world to survive changes, self-realization is a very critical task. This study scrutinizes how characters in a novel <Yujin and Yujin> by Gum-Yi Lee, go through internal process as they accomplish self-realization. This is because looking at a piece of the characters` self-realization process enables us to discuss the recovery of life authenticity. A shadow that faced upon the course of transforming from subconsciousness to consciousness in self-exploration was mainly inspected and how the character`s ego is confronted and becomes integrated with the shadow was described. To begin with, this study reveals that, although Yujin and another Yujin are individuals with different shadow, the process that one personality undergoes self-integration and realization is expressed symbolically by dividing Yujin into two separate individuals, according to two characters` cross-description, a contrast effect resulting from having same names and the fact that contexts are developed by homogeneity based on identical events. Also, because the attitude of perceiving and accepting a shadow eventually is the important starting point for self-realization, this report observes a series of course that characters confront and accept shadow and therefore, achieve self-realization, characters affirmed the existence of shadow through the projection of subconscious contents and had reserved the perception by mechanisms of defense. Finally, they went though the process of self-realization, by which separated ego and shadow became integrated. The perception and acceptance of shadow gives an answer to the question that how to accomplish self-integration, that is, a mind unity. The perception and acceptance of shadow provide us with expanded senses and adequate insight about human and life. This is practical to modem persons who pursue self-realization and happiness.
