Japanese does not exhibit deontic-epistemic polysemy which is recognized among typologically different languages. Hence, in Japanese linguistics, it has been debated which of the two types of modality is more prototypical. This study brings Chinese learner``s acquisition data of Japanese modality to bear on the question of which of the two types of modality is more prototypical, using the Competition Model (Bates and MacWhinney 1981). The Competition Model notion of ``cues`` as processing strategy adopted by learners reveals the continuity/discontinuity between these two modality domains.
Don Quixote in Carlos Fuentes` Terra nostra
( Mizuho Narita ) 한국스페인어문학회 2016 스페인어문학 Vol.0 No.80
In this article we will analyze the Mexican writer Carlos Fuentes` Terra nostra seeking the influence of Miguel de Cervantes and his character Don Quixote on this work. This novel describes the contrast of the Spain of the 16th and 17th centuries represented by the king Philip clinging to build a strong country of absolutism, with the fluctuating world symbolized by the "discovery" of the New World and the new way of thinking in Cervantes` context. In Terra nostra, Fuentes uses the literary characters of the Spanish Golden Age as a symbol of the resulting culture from the three religions` coexistence, which the Spain in the transition to the Modern Age sacrificed to establish the "only and absolute" nation, the philosophy of which is represented by the monastery El Escorial. To Fuentes, these characters are the art that "rescues the truth of the hand of falsehood", and they give readers a new vision to study History. Fuentes considers that the novels have to highlight the hidden side of reality so in Terra nostra he describes the hidden history of Spain and Mexico with a great cultural diversity apparently murdered by the "only" way to read the world or the reality.
Effect of trehalose and trehalase production for mycelium growth of Tricholoma matsutake

Effect of trehalose for the mycelial growth of Tricholoma matsutake were examined. When T. matsutake Z-1 strain was cultured in the partially modified matsutake liquid (PMML) medium and the Hamada matsutake liquid (HML) medium supplemented with trehalose at 24 ℃ for 80days, the vegetative mycelial dry weights showed higher value compared with those of PMML medium and HML medium supplemented with glucose (control). The range of the effect of 1.0-8.0% carbohydrate substrate on vegetative mycelial growth was investigated. The optimal concentration for mycelial growth was 2.0% for the glucose medium but 8.0% for the trehalose medium. To evaluate the potential of the production of trehalase from T. matsutake, the extracellular trehalase activity during the vegetative mycelial growth was measured. The activity of the extracellular trehalase increased during vegetative mycelial growth of T. matsutake and was maximal 70 days after inoculation. This extracellular enzyme was investigated for the purification and the characterization. The partially purified trehalase was obtained from about 1.53l static culture filtrate, with 19.1% recovery, and about 2,940 fold purification. The molecular mass was about 62.6kDa (SDS-PAGE) and 70kDa (Gel-filtration). The enzyme was most active around 40℃ and pH 5.0 and stable over a pH of 4.5~ 6.5 for 30min at 37℃. The enzyme readily hydrolyzed trehalose having α -1,1 glucosidic bond. However, it did not hydrolyze disaccharides such as maltose, iso-maltose, cellobiose, saccharose and lactose.

In conventional pharmacological research in the field of mental disorders, pharmacological effect and dose have been estimated by ethological approach and in vitro data of affinity to the site of action. In addition, the frequency of administration has been estimated from drug kinetics in blood. However, there is a problem regarding an objective index of drug effects in the living body. Furthermore, the possibility that the concentration of drug in blood does not necessarily reflect the drug kinetics in target organs has been pointed out. Positron emission tomography (PET) techniques have made progress for more than 20 years, and made it possible to measure the distribution and kinetics of small molecule components in living brain. In this article, we focused on rational drug dosing using receptor occupancy and proof-of-concept of drugs in the drug development process using PET.

Comprehensive genome analyses have identified frequently mutated genes in human colorectal cancers (CRC). These include APC, KRAS, SMAD4, TP53, and FBXW7. The biological functions of the respective gene products in cell proliferation and homeostasis have been intensively examined by in vitro experiments. However, how each gene mutation or combinations of specific mutations drive malignant progression of CRC in vivo has not been fully understood. Based on the genomic information, we generated mouse models that carry multiple mutations of CRC driver genes in various combinations, and we performed comprehensive histological analyses to link genetic alteration(s) and tumor phenotypes, including liver metastasis. In this review article, we summarize the phenotypes of the respective genetic models carrying major driver mutations and discuss a possible mechanism of mutations underlying malignant progression.
神樂잡子「テケテットン」の起源に關する一考察 ―高麗樂の揚拍子との關係から-
천기서수 ( Kawasaki Mizuho ) 동서대학교 일본연구센터 2016 次世代 人文社會硏究 Vol.12 No.-
Sato-Kagura, a local Shinto-based folk performing art, is seen in various parts of Japan. Although many scholars, including Honda Yasuji and, Ishizuka Takatoshi, have interpreted Sato-Kagura, some aspects of this folk art tradition deserve further research. In this paper, I seek to clarify the origin of Teketetton, a unique musical accompaniment for Sato-Kagura. Teketetton can be found as part of Sato-Kagura throughout East Japan. For example, in the Arakawa-Shiroku area (located in the city of Chichibu, Saitama prefecture), there is an old Sato-Kagura, known as Shinmeisha-Kagura. Owing to the lack of documentation, it is difficult to ascertain this kagura’s history. Kunitokoza, one of the Kagura repertoires, depicts a Tengu legend. The musical program of this performance includes the Teketetton rhythm pattern. Moribayashi Kenji, a prominent commentator on Teketetton, stated that this musical accompaniment, which has influenced much folk music, dates back to the medieval period, but its precise origins are unknown. Based on my research on regional folk entertainment, I propose that this musical accompaniment is derived from Age Byoshi rhythm pattern in the dance music Komagaku from the ancient Korean peninsula. In this paper, I trace the complicated and influential background of Teketetton, arriving at the conclusion that Sato-Kagura has a stratified structure comprising multiple layers added at different times.
