<P>We report the versatile uses of multilayered polyimide (PI) film microreactors with various functions including pressure tolerance, three-dimensional mixing and multistep membrane emulsification. Such PI film microreactors were fabricated by a simple one-step thermal bonding technique with high reproducibility. Upon bonding at 300 degrees C for 1 hour, the thin and flexible film microdevices could withstand pressure up to 8.6 MPa and 16.3 MPa with PI adhesive film or fluoropolymer adhesive, respectively, due to differences in wettability. The hydrophilic and hydrophobic microchannel devices were used to generate monodisperse oil-in-water (O/W) and water-in-oil (W/O) droplets, and polymer micro/nanoparticles at a high generation frequency. A monolithic and chemical resistant film microreactor with a three-dimensional serpentine microchannel was used for the selective reduction of ester to aldehyde by efficient mixing and quenching in a flash chemistry manner, within a several 101 millisecond time scale. Furthermore, a novel multilayered film microreactor for organic-aqueous biphasic interfacial reactions was devised by embedding a membrane layer to induce chaotic mixing in both the interface and emulsified phase by flowing through multiple numbers of meshed structures along the hydrophobic channel. This simple and economic fabrication technique significantly facilitates mass production of multilayered film devices that could be useful as a platform for various microfluidic applications in chemistry and biology.</P>
Diversity Analysis of Coded Spatial Multiplexing MIMO AF Relaying Systems

<P>In this paper, we analyze the diversity performance of source-relay joint precoding in spatial multiplexing (SM) multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) amplify-and-forward (AF) relaying systems with channel coding. First, we evaluate the achievable diversity order of singular-value-decomposition-based precoding schemes as a function of a code rate. Then, we show that a significant diversity improvement can be obtained by utilizing signal space diversity. Our analysis provides helpful insights on the tradeoff between the code rate and the diversity order in SM MIMO AF relaying systems. Simulation results demonstrate that our analytical expressions match well with the numerical results.</P>
Insecticidal Effect of Carbon dioxide(CO2) on Vegetable plug Seedling Insect in Closed Container

Insecticidal effect of carbon dioxide(CO2) was carried out for the environment-friendly control of insect in vegetable plug seedling greenhouse. Korean melon, pepper, tomato and strawberry were tested. Insects were performed on Myzus persicae, Tetranychus urticae, Bemisia tabaci. Plants and insect were placed in closed container and the 4 concentration(0%, 25%, 50%, 100%) injected into container and investigated plant damage and the insecticidal effect over time. Damage of korean melon was appeared in the all concentration. Pepper was not injured until the 3 hours at 50% concentration and tomato also was not injured until the 6 hours at all concentration. Strawberry was not injured all concentration. The 100% mortality of Myzus persicae was appeared over 3 hours-100%, 12 hours-50% and 24 hours-25%, Tetranychus urticae was appeared over 3 hour-100%, 12 hours-50% and 24 hours-25% and Bemisia tabaci was appeared over 6 hours-100% and 12 hour-50%.

We proposed AlGaN/GaN high-electron-mobility transistors (HEMTs) using thermal oxidation for NiOx passivation. Auger electron spectroscopy, secondary ion mass spectroscopy, and pulsed I-V were used to study oxidation features. The oxidation process diffused Ni and O into the AlGaN barrier and formed NiOx on the surface. The breakdown voltage of the proposed device was 1520 V while that of the conventional device was 300 V. The gate leakage current of the proposed device was 3.5 μA/mm and that of the conventional device was 1116.7 μA/mm. The conventional device exhibited similar current in the gate-and-drain-pulsed I-V and its drain-pulsed counterpart. The gate-and-drain-pulsed current of the proposed device was about 56 % of the drain-pulsed current. This indicated that the oxidation process may form deep states having a low emission current, which then suppresses the leakage current. Our results suggest that the proposed process is suitable for achieving high breakdown voltages in the GaN-based devices.

Background and objective: A great deal of previous research has highlighted the value of educational and cultural facilities embedded in housing prices, by taking a large spatial area as the focus, such as the city or district level. However, few studies have investigated the extent to which educational and cultural facilities influence the formation of housing prices from an accessibility perspective. This study aims to identify the value of educational and cultural facilities embedded in the housing prices in Seoul Metropolitan City with a focus on the concept of the residents’ neighbourhood and accessibility. Methods: To this end, this research used a spatial regression model with educational and cultural facilities as the independent variables and housing prices as the dependent variable. The model assessed the accessibility of cultural and educational facilities by considering geographic effects. Results: The findings are as follows. First, the spatial error model was found to be the best fit for multi-unit housing, while the spatial lag model was more appropriate for single-unit housing and apartments. Second, private educational facilities and art museums had positive effects on single- and multi-unit housing prices, while historical sites had a negative effect. Finally, private educational facilities positively influenced apartment prices, whereas public libraries and urban park areas had a negative effect. Conclusion: These findings indicate that the accessibility of educational and cultural facilities reflects residents’ preferences and needs, which will ultimately influence housing prices.
V-Shaped Disposition Effect and Investor Underreaction to Earnings News

We attempt to explain investor underreaction to earnings news using the newly documented refinement of the disposition effect, which is the V-shaped net selling propensity (VNSP). Using a novel data set containing stock-level information on the trading activities of different types of investors, we find that both large unrealized capital gains and losses positively predict subsequent stock returns in Korean stock markets. Furthermore, investors’ net selling propensity affects stock price drift after earnings announcements. Among good news stocks, postannouncement drift is more pronounced when they suffer from stockholders’ higher net selling propensity. Furthermore, these empirical results hold only when we construct a VNSP based on individual trading activity. Interestingly, the classic disposition effect does not induce underreaction to earnings news in our data set.
