자연과학편 : 뇌파 신호를 이용한 자기조절 뉴로피드백 트레이닝이 고교 볼링선수들의 경기력과 인지능력에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 고교 볼링 선수들의 12주간 자기조절 뉴로피드백 트레이닝이 집중력과 경기력에 미치는 영향을 규명하고자 하였으며, 본 연구 자료를 통해 볼링선수의 심리트레이닝 활성 및 경기력 개선을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 그리고 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 고교 볼링선수들의 자기조절 뉴로피드백 트레이닝은 볼링 경기력의 하위요인들과 점수양상을 보았을 때, 경기력 개선에 효율적인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 뉴로피드백 트레이닝은 인지능력의 복합주의 집중력과 실행기능력 향상에 효율적인 결과를 나타내었다. 이러한 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 자기조절 뉴로피드백의 적용은 볼링선수들의 신경 동기화 유발을 통해 긍정적 효과가 예측된다. 추후, 실제 시합 상황에서의 뇌파발현 양상 또는 세부적인 생리학적 분석 연구를 진행할 계획이다. This study was to investigate the effects of 12 week concentration and self-regulation neurofeedback training on the high school bowling player‘s performance and sub-factors. We were aimed to provide the basic data of the neurofeedback training that are performed to improve the bowlers performance. The following is our conclusions. First, self-regulation neurofeedback training of high school bowlers are seen to effective in improving score aspect and sub-factors of bowling performances. Second, neurofeedback training showed positive effects in improving attention and complex cognitive functions. With these results, we conclude that the application of self-regulation neurofeedback has a positive effect to the improving score aspect and sub-factors of bowling performances through the improving attention and complex cognitive functions. To support this results, we are planning to detect the EEG graph with the physiological condition and detailed analysis of the neural circumstances in the actual game in the future.
자연과학편 : 중년비만 여성의 댄스스포츠 모션비트 트레이닝 적용이 심폐기능, 대사성 위험요인 및 에너지조절 호르몬에 미치는 영향

이 연구는 댄스스포츠 운동 시 템포(비트)에 따른 생리적 반응을 유도하여 운동 자체의 효과뿐만 아니라 신체구성, 심폐기능, 대사성 위험 요인 및 에너지 조절 호르몬에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 것이다. 연구 대상자는 비만중년여성 20명을 일반 비트 집단(n=10)과 모션 비트 집단(n=10)으로 각각 분류하였다. 댄스스포츠 운동은 각 그룹에게 각각 12주간 수행하였다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 중년여성을 대상으로 비트별 댄스스포츠 운동을 수행한 결과, 모션 비트의 적용은 근육량과 심폐지구력 변화에 긍정적인 증가를 나타내었으며, 체지방률은 통계적으로 유의한 감소가 관찰되었다. 둘째, 중년여성의 비트별 댄스스포츠 운동수행 결과, 모션 비트의 적용은 대사성 위험요인 중 허리둘레에만 통계적으로 유의한 감소를 나타내었으며, 고밀도지단백 콜레스테롤 개선에서도 효과적인 운동방법으로 나타났다. 셋째, 중년여성의 비트별 댄스스포츠 운동수행 결과, 모션 비트의 적용은 에너지조절호르몬인 렙틴과 그렐린 모두 증가하였으나, 렙틴에서만 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 넷째, 이 연구에서 적용된 일반 비트와 모션 비트의 운동 강도는 연구결과의 중요한 해석 지표로써, 측정결과 모션비트 적용은 운동 강도가 71.5%로 일반비트에 비해 약 10% 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 댄스스포츠 운동 수행 시 일반 비트를 모션 비트로 변형하는 것은 운동 수행자들의 운동 강도 및 근육 동원율을 높이는데 시너지 효과로 작용될 수 있으며, 비만개선 및 체형관리를 목적으로 하는 운동 참여자들에게 적용한다면 단기간에 효율성을 높일 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of motion beat during dance sports exercise on cardiorespiratory functions, metabolic risk factors and energy regulation hormones in middle-aged women. All twenty women participated in this exeriment. Each ten persons are assigned into two-groups such as motion subject group and normal subject group. They conducted dance sports for sixteen weeks. The results of this study was as follows; First, Applying beat motion caused positive effect on muscle mass and cardiovascular endurance and %body fat also significantly increased. Second, applying motion beat caused statistically significant decrease of waist measurement and metabolic risk factors and significant increase of high density cholesterol. Third, applying motion beat showed positive effect on energy control hormone, both leptin and ghrelin, and statistically significant effect on leptin was found. Fourth, Exercise intensity of normal and motion beat have been confirmed as the very important index to interpret the results. That is, exercise intensity of motion beat was 71.5% that was ten-percent higher than normal beat. Therefore, applying motion can have synergy effect on enhancing the exercise intensity and muscle mobilization rate during dance sport, and so very useful for obesity and body shape management for short period.

The survival of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with brain metastases is reported to be 3∼6 months even with aggressive treatment. Some patients have very short survival after aggressive treatment and reliable prognostic scoring systems for patients with cancer have a strong correlation with outcome, often supporting decision making and treatment recommendations. A total of one hundred twenty two NSCLC patients with brain metastases who received gamma knife radiosurgery (GKRS) were analyzed. Survival analysis was calculated in all patients for thirteen available prognostic factors and four prognostic scoring systems: score index for radiosurgery (SIR), recursive partitioning analysis (RPA), graded prognostic assessment (GPA), and basic score for brain metastases (BSBM). Results: Age, Karnofsky performance status, largest brain lesion volume, systemic chemotherapy, primary tumor control, and medication of epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor were statistically independent prognostic factors for survival. A multivariate model of SIR and RPA identified significant differences between each group of scores. We found that three-tiered indices such as SIR and RPA are more useful than four-tiered scoring systems (GPA and BSBM). There is little value of RPA class III (most unfavorable group) for the same results of 6-month and 1-year survival rate. Thus, SIR is the most useful index to sort out patients with poorer prognosis. Further prospective trials should be performed to develop a new molecular- and gene-based prognostic index model.

Speech Quality Degradation in Packet Loss Environment at Specific Speech Class

In a specific context of voice over packet networks, one or several encoded speech frames are grouped into a single packet, which represents a data block on the network. Even the effort to control the variability in IP networks does not guarantee the quality of service (QoS) in the IP networks. Thus, it is necessary to deal with the audible artifact caused by packet losses. In this paper, we show experiment results to observe the impact of error propagation to speech quality in predictive coders, then we analyze the impact of the packet loss to error propagation in a low bit-rate speech codec. We choose the G.729 as a low bit-rate standard coder which operates at 8 kbit/s and encodes the speech signal based on CELP algorithms. Moreover, we investigate the relationship of packet loss to the speech characteristics and analyze which parameter plays an important role to each speech class.
