Parameter Estimation of Dynamic Load Model in Power System by using Measured Data
Tomoda, Michiya,Matsuki, Junya,Hayashi, Yasuhiro The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers 2011 The Journal of International Council on Electrical Vol.1 No.2
In this paper, we propose a dynamic load model considering change of flux inside induction motor for transient stability analysis and we present a new method for estimating unknown parameters of the dynamic load model. The model is a parallel composite of a constant impedance load and an induction motor load behind a series constant reactance. An adequate dynamic load model is essential for evaluating power system stability and this model can represent the behavior of actual load by using appropriate parameters. However, the problem of this model has a large amount of parameters and it is not easy to estimate a lot of unknown parameters. Therefore we propose an estimating method based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), which is a non-linear optimization method, by using measured instantaneous voltage sag data. We estimated parameters of the actual load by PSO to minimize error between calculated and measured power of load after a load drop due to voltage sag by the accident. It was confirmed that the proposed method was successful and PSO is effective in parameter estimation.
SUMRAY: R and Python Codes for Calculating Cancer Risk Due to Radiation Exposure of a Population
Sasaki Michiya,Furukawa Kyoji,Satoh Daiki,Shimada Kazumasa,Kudo Shin’ichi,Takagi Shunji,Takahara Shogo,Kai Michiaki 대한방사선방어학회 2023 방사선방어학회지 Vol.48 No.2
Background : Quantitative risk assessments should be accompanied by uncertainty analyses of the risk models employed in the calculations . In this study, we aim to develop a computational code named SUMRAY for use in cancer risk projections from radiation exposure taking into ac- count uncertainties . We also aim to make SUMRAY publicly available as a resource for further improvement of risk projection . Materials and Methods : SUMRAY has two versions of code written in R and Python . The risk models used in SUMRAY for all-solid-cancer mortality and incidence were those published in the Life Span Study of a cohort of the atomic bomb survivors in Hiroshima and Nagasaki . The confidence intervals associated with the evaluated risks were derived by propagating the statisti- cal uncertainties in the risk model parameter estimates by the Monte Carlo method . JRPR Results and Discussion : SUMRAY was used to calculate the lifetime or time-integrated attrib- utable risks of cancer under an exposure scenario (baseline rates , dose[s] , age[s] at exposure , age at the end of follow-up, sex) specified by the user. The results were compared with those calculated using another well-known web-based tool , Radiation Risk Assessment Tool (Rad- RAT; National Institutes of Health) , and showed a reasonable agreement within the estimated confidential interval . Compared with RadRAT, SUMRAY can be used for a wide range of ap- plications , as it allows the risk projection with arbitrarily specified risk models and/or popula- tion reference data . Conclusion : The reliabilities of SUMRAY with the present risk-model parameters and their variance-covariance matrices were verified by comparing them with those of the other codes . The SUMRAY code is distributed to the public as an open-source code under the Massachusetts Institute of Technology license .

중세 연대기에 나타난 민족정체성 -세속어 산문 역사서술의 등장-
스즈키미치야 ( Michiya Suzuki ) 한국서양중세사학회 2014 西洋中世史硏究 Vol.0 No.33
The purpose of this paper is to examine the strategies of historical writing, which the royal authority used to integrate autonomous nobility into medieval French nation. The earliest products of the movement toward vernacular historiography were the works of aristocratic patrons who were experiencing reversals in their political fortunes due to the revival of a moneyed economy and the growth of royal centralization. The appearance of the multivolume Grandes chroniques de France, which was completed by Primat around 1274, signals the overt contest over the past between Capetien kings and French nobility. By the last third of the thirteenth century, historiography in Old French was successfully established in the France of the Capetian dynasty. In the texts of Grandes chroniques de France, Primat accorded a large place to the nobility. This fact lends to the conclusion that, Capetien dynasty absorbs and revalorizes the terms and language of the nobility for their own purposes, creating a vast corpus of historical writing to establish the legitimacy of their rule over their former antagonists.
The Effects of Pilates Exercise on Cardiometabolic Health, Low Back Pain and Disease
( Kelly Michiya ),( Myung Dong Choi ) 한국체육학회 2018 International journal of human movement science Vol.12 No.1
Pilates is a form of exercise that challenges core strength and seeks to improve both muscular endurance and postural alignment and it may prove to be helpful for those with medical issues in improving general fitness through building strength and flexibility. This paper reviews the studies that investigated the efficacy of Pilates exercises on medical conditions including cardiometabolic parameters, low back pain, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, ankylosing spondylitis, and breast cancer. Due to the limited number of studies investigating cardiometabolic parameters, it is difficult to draw a conclusion despite some favorable findings. While more studies exist on the effect of Pilates on low back pain than studies on other conditions, they are still limited and lack generalizability due to the heterogeneity of participants as well as the variability of exercises prescribed. Even then, it appears that Pilates is feasible and effective in alleviating symptoms associated with low back pain and other medical conditions. Overall, the studies reviewed here have shown high adherences rates in Pilates training with no adverse effects.
