        문장분석법을 활용한 수업이 한국인 학습자의 중국어 독해능력에 미치는 영향

        In the course of reading, it is very important to cultivate the learner’s syntactic awareness in order to understand the content of the text correctly and accurately. This study discussed whether the sentence analysis methods would affect on the reading comprehension. First, we compared the pre-reading scores and post-reading scores of 42 Korean beginning level learners to see how sentence analysis methods affects each of the four categories: vocabulary, grammar, meaning, and context. The results showed that significant differences in context items, indicating that sentence analysis methods has a positive effect on understanding the overall flow and content of the text. A survey was given out the learner’s definition (interest, confidence, satisfaction and contribution) of sentence analysis methods. As a result, the learner was quite satisfied with the class using the sentence analysis method, and greatly agreed that it would enhance the learner’s interest and confidence, helping improve reading comprehension.

        주희의 『지언』 비판과 중화신설의 전개 - 지언의의 를 중심으로 -

        본 논문은 「지언의의」 저술 시기와 중화신설로의 이행기가 서로 맞닿아있는 지점에서, 주희가 호굉의 『지언』에 대해 가진 의문이 바로 ‘중화구설’에 대한 의문일 것이란 관점에서 검토한 것이다. 본 논문의 주요논의는 주희의 『지언』에 대한 8가지 의문을 2가지로 요약한 것이다. 요약된 내용은 ⑴성에 선악이 없다[性無善惡]와 ⑵심은 이발이다[心爲已發]는 것으로, 심·성을 중심으로 「지언의의」의 의미를 서술하였다. 「지언의의」는 주희가 중화구설에서 중화신설로 자신의 철학적 입장을 변경할 때 저술한 것으로, 본 논문에서는 「지언의의」의 내용과 중화신설의 연관성에 초점을 두고 드러내 밝혔다. 중화설의 규정은 심성의 정립과 연관된다. 「지언의의」가 심성의 문제에 초점을 맞추고 있음에 주목하면서, 주희의 「지언의의」는 그가 중화‘구설’에서 ‘신설’로 한 차례 ‘자기 부정’함에 반드시 착수되어야 할 사업이었음을 주장한다. 이를 위해 주희의 중화설 성립의 배경이 되는 도남학과 호상학의 주요 이론을 살펴보고, 『지언』에 대한 주희의 비판 내용을 심성을 중심으로 검토한 다음, 그의 비판 내용이 중화신설과 어떤 연관성을 지니는지 서술하였다. This paper examines the point view of the question about ZhuXi’s 『Zhiyan (知言)』 is the question about ZhongHeJiuShuo(中和舊說). Because the period of the writing 「Zhiyanyiyi(知言疑義)」 and transition period are much alike. The main discussion is a two-point summary of the eight questions about ZhuXi’s 『Zhiyan(知言)』. ⑴Have no Goodness-Evil in Human Nature[性無善惡] ⑵The Mind is Not yet Stirring[心爲已發] The meaning of 「Zhiyanyiyi (知言疑義)」 is described around this. 「Zhiyanyiyi(知言疑義)」 was written by ZhuXi when he changed his philosophical position. In this paper, I wrote about the similarity between 「Zhiyanyiyi(知言疑義)」 and ZhongHeXinShuo(中 和新說). The provisions for ZhongHeJShuo(中和說) relate to the establishment of Theory on Human Nature of Mind(心性論). Note that 「Zhiyanyiyi(知言疑義)」 focuses on the problem of Theory on Human Nature of Mind(心性論). The ZhuXi’s 「Zhiyanyiyi(知言疑義)」 was a must when he denied himself from ZhongHeJiuShuo(中和舊說) to ZhongHeXinShuo(中和新說). I will look at the main theory of DaoNanXue(道南學) and HuXiangXue(湖湘學) that background of the ZhongHeShuo(中和說) of ZhuXi. and, I examine the ZhuXi's criticism of ZhuXi around Human Nature of Mind(心性). Finally, I wrote about his criticisms relate to ZhongHeXinShuo(中和新說).

        외식 소비자의 소비가치가 브랜드 이미지와 재구매의도에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 외식 소비자가 느끼는 소비가치와 브랜드 이미지, 재 구매의도 간의 영향 관계를 살펴보고 각 변수 간의 인과관계를 검증하여 외식 소비자의 충성도를 높이기 위한 차별화 전략의 필요성을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 통해 경영실적 강화할 수 있는 전략과 외식시장에서 경쟁우위를 차지하기 위한 유용한 마케팅 발전방안을 제시하는 근거로 사용하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가설 1에 대한 분석결과, 외식 소비자의 ‘소비가치’요인 중 ‘건강적 소비가치’, ‘사회적 소비가치’가 ‘브랜드 이미지’에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, ‘기능적 소비가치’와 ‘상황적 소비가치’는 ‘브랜드 이미지’에 미치는 영향이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 가설 2에 대한 분석결과 외식 소비자의 ‘브랜드 이미지’가 ‘재 구매의도’에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 가설 3에 대한 분석결과 외식 소비자의 ‘소비가치’요인 중 ‘건강적 소비가치’, ‘사회적 소비가치’가 ‘재 구매의도’에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, ‘기능적 소비가치’와 ‘상황적 소비가치’는 ‘재구매의도’에 미치는 영향이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 실정으로 본 연구에서 실증 분석한 외식 소비자의 소비가치와 브랜드 이미지의 인과관계 분석은 향후 외식 소비자의 재구매를 높여 외식시장의 발전에 필요한 기초자료 활용의 여지를 밝혀냈다. This study examines the relationship between consumption value, brand image, and repurchase intention felt by food service consumers, and examines the causal relationship between each variable to suggest the need for a differentiating strategy to increase the loyalty of food service consumers. Through this, it was intended to be used as a basis for suggesting strategies to strengthen business performance and useful marketing development plans to gain competitive advantage in the food service market. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the analysis result for hypothesis 1, among the ‘consumption value’ factors of food service consumers, it was found that ‘healthy consumption value’ and ‘social consumption value’ had a positive(+) effect on 'brand image', and the effect of ‘functional consumption value’ and ‘conditional consumption value’ on 'brand image' appeared to be absent. Second, as a result of the analysis of hypothesis 2, it was found that the 'brand image' of the eating out consumers had a positive (+) effect on the 'repurchase intention'. Third, as a result of the analysis of Hypothesis 3, it was found that 'healthy consumption value' and 'social consumption value' had a positive(+) effect on 'repurchase intention' among the factors of 'consumption value' of food service consumers, and 'functional consumption value' and 'conditional consumption value' were found to have no effect on 'repurchase intention'. In this context, the empirical analysis of the causal relationship between the consumption value and brand image of restaurant consumers analyzed in this study revealed the potential for utilization of basic data necessary for the development of the restaurant market by increasing the repurchase of restaurant consumers in the future.

        니키 드 생팔의 작품에 나타난 색채특성 연구 -‘나나’ 연작을 중심으로-

        본 논문은 생 팔 작품 중에서 <나나> 연작을 중심으로 그 형상이 갖는 특징을 분석하고, 기존의 조각 작품에서는 볼 수 없었던 화려한 색채가 <나나> 연작의 작품 개념에 어떻게 일조하는지 알아보고, <나나>연작의 이미지들을 만들어 내는데 어떤 상호 보완적 역할을 하고 있는지 색채가 지닌 특성을 통해 연구하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 총 16개의 나나를 선정하여 작품 개념과 율동감 있는 형상이 가진 특징들이 색채와 어떤 연관성이 있는지를 중심으로 분석한다. 생 팔의 작품에서 보여주고자 하는 이미지들과 상호 보완적 관점의 색채특징을 분석하여 조각과 색채의 체계적 관점과 중요성을 제시해보고자 한다. 먼저 <나나> 연작에 사용된 색채 팔레트를 추출하고, PCCS 색체계와 CIE LAB 체계의 기본 구성, IRI 배색 이미지 스케일의 분석 방법에 의거하여 색채 사용방식에 따른 특징을 산출하며, 작품의 전체적 개념과 관계되는 특징과 연계된 색의 의미를 살펴봄으로써 작가의 개념과 색채와의 연관성을 추출하고자 한다. 생 팔의 <나나> 연작은 왜곡되고, 단순화된 형태를 색채를 통해 극복하고 있으며, 작품의 전체적인 개념을 다채로운 색을 통해 표현하고 있다. <나나> 연작들에서 나타난 다채로운 배색체계는 인종의 다양성을 통한 다문화 공존과 여성의 인권, 생동감과 자유로움을 표현하기 위해 조각에 나타난 새로운 색채사용방식이라고 할 수 있다. 또한 적극적인 색채와 색상에 의한 분리 배색 방식에서 <나나> 연작의 관계적 배색을 통해 작품에 부여하고자 했던 개념과 매우 밀접하게 연계되어 있음을 확인한다. 조각이 주는 색채의 의미는 형태적, 조형적 가치 이외에 일반인이 쉽게 인식할 수 있는 다양성과 감정의 표출을 전달하는데 매우 중요한 도구가 되며, 가장 쉽고 전달력 강한 매체로서 작용하는 요소가 됨을 확인하였다. This study set out to analyze the characteristics of forms in Niki de Saint Phalle's works with a focus on the Nanas series and investigate how splendid colors that were not seen in the previous sculptures contribute to the concept of Nanas series, and to study the complementary roles in creating images of Nanas series. The study also aimed to investigate the characteristics of colors in their mutually supplementary roles in the creation of images in the series. In analysis, the focus was on connections between colors and the concepts of her 16 Nanas and the characteristics of forms with a rhythmic sense in the works. By analyzing the characteristics of colors in a mutually supplementary viewpoint with images that she wanted to show in her works, the investigator tried to present the systematic viewpoint and importance of sculpture and colors. After identifying a palette of colors used in the Nanas series, the investigator examined their characteristics according to the ways that they were used based on the PCCS color scheme, basic composition of the CIE LAB system, and IRI coloration image scale analysis method. Connections were established between the artist's concepts and colors based on the characteristics related to the overall concept of a work and the meanings of their related colors. In her Nanas series, Niki de Saint Phalle overcomes distorted and simplified forms with colors and expresses the overall concept of a work with a variety of colors. The coloration system of various colors in the series represents a new way of using colors in her sculpture expressing the coexistence of multiple cultures through ethnic diversity, women's human rights, liveliness, and freedom. In addition, the ways of separate coloration between active colors and hues are very closely related to the concepts that she tried to give to her works in the Nanas series through relational coloration. In conclusion, it is confirmed that color is a very important tool for conveying diversity and emotion.

        A Study on Korean Elementary Teachers’ Perceptions of Teaching English Pronunciation from an EIL Perspective

        This study aims to investigate Korean-speaking elementary school teachers’ perceptions of teaching English pronunciation mainly from an EIL perspective. For this, a semi-structured questionnaire consisting of 11 items was conducted to 55 in-service Korean-speaking elementary school teachers. The results of this study were as follows: 1) The majority of the teachers tended to recognize the importance of pronunciation for communication while they lacked confidence in their pronunciation. 2) The majority of the teachers appeared to spend time on teaching English pronunciation, placing more focus on suprasegmentals than segmentals. 3) In the questions that could tap into the teachers’ perceptions of teaching English pronunciation from an EIL perspective, the majority of the teachers seemed to agree on the significance of intelligible, rather than native-like, pronunciation; Approximately half or more than half of the teachers tended to prefer native English speakers and accents to nonnative ones as instructional models, be hesitant to expose their students to a variety of English accents, and perceive native English accents as superior to nonnative ones in linguistic value and importance; Two-thirds of the teachers regarded both native and nonnative speakers as the owners of English. Based on these findings, suggestions were made for teacher education and materials development concerning English pronunciation.

        A Study on Factors Affecting the Perceptual Accuracy of L2 Vowels in an FL Context

        This paper attempts to review previous research on factors affecting L2 phonological acquisition and to provide an experiment to determine whether or not factors such as gender, age of L2 learning, length and frequency of private L2 instruction and amount of L2 use have significant influence on the discrimination of the English vowel contrasts /iy/-/ɪ/,/uw/-/ʊ/ and /ɛ/-/æ/ by native Koreans learning English in a foreign language context and, if so, to what extent. Gender, age of L2 learning, and length and frequency of private L2 instruction were found not to be significant predictors of the perceptual accuracy of the English vowel contrasts. On the other hand, it was revealed that amount of L2 use affected the discrimination of the English vowels significantly, suggesting that it is important for L2 learners to have enough opportunities to use the L2 to benefit in the perception of L2 segmental contrasts. Directions for future study were suggested on the basis of the findings of this study.

        Korean Elementary Teachers’ Perceptions of NESs’ and NNESs’ Pronunciation

        Despite the validated EIL status, native English accents are commonly regarded as the most appropriate pronunciation-teaching norms, while nonnative accents are still considered inappropriate. This study attempts to explore Korean-speaking elementary teachers’ perceptions of native and nonnative English accents and find out the extent to which the teachers’ ratings of the accents show variance and correlations as regards likeability, familiarity, intelligibility, comprehensibility, and instructional model suitability. For these, 53 in-service Korean-speaking elementary teachers were asked to evaluate two native (American and British) and two nonnative (Filipino and Korean) English accents by the five variables. The results were as follows: 1) The AmE accent was rated most positively, while the FiE accent was least favorable in all the variables; 2) The KoE accent was evaluated to be more familiar, intelligible, and comprehensible than the BrE accent at a significant level. In contrast, the two accents exhibited an insignificant difference in likeability and suitability; 3) Significant correlations were obtained among the variables except for comparisons of likeability-intelligibility, likeability-comprehensibility, and familiarity-comprehensibility; 4) The instructional model suitability had a significant correlation with the four remaining variables. Based on these results, pedagogical implications and implications for teacher education were suggested, followed by this study’s limitations.

        Coping strategies as moderators between stressful life events and suicidal ideation among Korean elderly living alone and those living with others

        본 연구는 스트레스 생활사건과 자살생각 간의 관계에 있어서 대처양식의 조절효과를 연구 하였다. 구조화된 설문지를 활용하여 충청도에 거주하는 247명의 노인들을 면접조사하였다. 위계적 다중회귀분석 결과, 독거노인집단에서 능동적 대처양식의 사용은 낮은 자살생각과 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 두 집단 모두에서 지원-의존적 대처양식은 자살생각에 양적 영향을 나타냈다. 또한 독거노인집단의 경우 스트레스 생활사건과 능동적 대처양식의 조절효과는 자살생 각에 양(+)적 영향을 보였다. 즉 스트레스 생활사건이 낮을 때, 능동적 대처양식은 자살생각을 경감시키는데 도움이 되지만 스트레스 생활사건이 일정 수준보다 높을 때는 능동적 대처양식이 자살생각을 촉진시키는 것으로 나타났다. 스트레스 생활사건과 회피 대처양식의 자살생각에 대한 조절효과 결과를 살펴보면, 회피 대처양식의 많은 사용은 스트레스 생활사건의 자살생각에 대한 양(+)적 효과를 경감시키는 것으로 조사되었다. 독거노인의 대처양식의 조절효과는 자살생 각에 대한 대처양식의 예방적 개입 가능성을 보여준다. This study examine the relationship between stressful life events and suicidal ideation as well as the moderating effect of different coping strategies. Data were collected from the survey of 247 Korean older adults living in Chungcheong-do. The results show that active coping was negatively associated with suicidal ideation among those living alone. Support-seeking coping was positively associated with suicidal ideation for both groups. In addition, there were significant interaction effects of stressful life effects × active coping and stressful life events × avoidance coping on suicidal ideation only among those living alone. These results may imply that when those living alone experience high levels of stressful life events, avoidance coping should be taken as important preventive measures for suicidal ideation.

        How Well Do Elementary School English Textbooks Address Pronunciation?

        This paper investigates how adequately pronunciation aspects are addressed in elementary school English textbooks, specifically focusing on how pronunciation is integrated into lessons and what pronunciation features are focused across the textbooks. This study also explores the extent to which teacher’s manuals provide linguistic and pedagogical information to support English pronunciation teaching. For these, five 3rd and 4th grade textbooks and teacher’s manuals developed according to the 2015 revised national curriculum were surveyed. The results of this study are as follows: Across the textbooks, pronunciation instruction is incorporated into lessons mostly in relation to sound-letter correspondences; pronunciation activities employ a limited repertoire of controlled techniques; the textbooks exhibit unexhaustive and unbalanced coverage of segmental and suprasegmental aspects; they are not effectively designed to teach pronunciation features which pose difficulties for Korean child learners of English; the teacher’s manuals provide neither sufficient and/or accurate linguistic explanations for pronunciation aspects nor principles and techniques for teaching them. Based on these findings, implications for materials development, pronunciation teaching, and teacher training are suggested.
