Serial values for hematologic and biochemical analysis after myocardial infarction in rats

To diagnose acute myocardial infarction(MI), many cardiac markers have been used in hematologic and biochemical analysis, and many studies have been published for hema-tologic and biochemical analysis associated with human acute MI. However, after occurrence of acute MI, the serial investigation for values in hematologic and bioche-mical analysis including chronic MI has rarely been performed. To observe the change of the serial values in hematologic and biochemical analysis, we induced artificial MI. The left main descending artery(LMDA) of the left coronary artery was ligated during the progression(day 1, 3, 5, 7, 14 and 30) of MI. Total 66 Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into the sham group(n=24, thoracotomy without LMDA ligation) and the experimental(MI) group(n=42, with LMDA ligation). And all individual in each group was sacrified at day 1, 3, 5, 7, 14 and 30 for the hematologic and biochemical analysis. In comparison of hematologic analysis between the sham and MI groups, the mean values of red blood cell(RBCs), hemoglobin and hematocrit(HCT) showed a steady increase. In biochemical analysis, the mean values of glucose, choles-terol, total creatine kinase(CK) and isoenzyme MB, and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) were increased in all MI groups compared with the sham groups. The results of this study suggest that early hematologic and biochemical mean values occurred after acute MI are similar to those of human acute MI. In conclusion, we could observe the alterations and serial values in hematologic and biochemical analysis to the extent of chronic status after acute MI.

Study on Aging Effect of Adhesion Strength Between Polyimide Film and Copper Layer

This paper experimentally confirmed that the adhesion strength of the copper layer formed on the surface of the polyimidefilm by wet plating greatly changes with the aging time. The adhesion strength of the copper layer showed a rapid increasefrom 4 to 10 h after aging had begun and then converged to a value without a significant change. The adhesion enhancementbetween polyimide film and copper layer by aging is due to the interlocking effect caused by the volume expansion of copperoxide (CuO) formed in the polyimide, the increased mobility of copper particles enlarged by the decrease of impuritiesin the copper layer grain boundaries, and the consequent change of the crystal structure of the copper layer leading to theinternal stress reduction. Such adhesion improvement can be confirmed by the progress of the cohesive failure indicatingthe breakdown of the polyimide film.

In this thesis, we researched the thought in Gosan Yun Seon-do’s Sijo to appreciate his works entirely. After we looked into his life, looked around the situation of his time, and observed the characteristics of his literary works, the thought which was appeared in his Sijo could be summarized as follows: First, his life was full of ups and downs with his intense patriotism during his life 85 years. He had troubles both at home and abroad, such as invasions, party disputes. He went into exile, entered government office, and retired from the world. Second, his trend of ideology was based on Confucian ideas. He accepted various ideas, such as Taoism, Buddhism, Shamanism. He considered that the government and the nature were the same thing. He inclined the love for king through his life. Third, his literature took root in confucian and moral ethics. He thought that the literature was the means of instruction and special purpose. His view of nature and music was based on Confucian morality. Fourth, most of his Sijo included the contents of instruction, admonition, and patriotism to realize confucian idea containing royalty and filial piety. We showed the trend of Gosan Yun Seon-do’s thought in his Sijo through his life idea, literature, nature, and music. We think that it deserves to help the investigation of Gosan literature and we look forward to study his works con tinually in various point of view.

The thermal decomposition process of Mo(CO)_6 on chemical vapor deposition was investigated by analyzing the effects of deposition temperature, pressure, and reaction gas on the phase change of deposited films. Mo_2C was deposited at or below 350℃ due to the incompleteness of thermal decomposition of Mo(CO)_6, but Mo films was successfully deposited at 400℃ or higher temperatures. The variation of deposition pressure did not change the dependence of decomposition process on deposition temperature. The activation energy of surface reaction was 5.8 ㎉/mole.

The aim of this study was to measure the cusp deflection during composite restoration for MOD cavity in premolar and to examine the influence of cavity dimension, C-factor and restoration method on the cusp deflection. Thirty extracted maxillary premolar were prepared to four different sizes of MOD cavity and divided into six groups. The width and depth of the cavity were as follows. Group 1; 1.5 × 1 ㎜, Group 2; 1.5 × 2 ㎜, Group 3; 3 × 1 ㎜, and Group 4-6; 3 × 2 ㎜ respectively. Group 1-4 were restored using bulk filling method with Z-250 composite. However, Group 5 was restored incrementally, and Group 6 was restored with an indirect resin inlay. The cusp deflection was recorded at the buccal and lingual cusp tips using LVDT probe for 10,000 seconds. The measured cusp deflections were compared between groups, and the relationship between the cube of the length of cavity wall/the cube of the thickness of cavity wall (L³ / T³), C-factor and cusp deflection or %flexure (100 × cuspal deflection / cavity width) was analyzed. The cusp deflection of Group 1-4 were 12.1 ㎛, 17.2 ㎛, 16.2 ㎛ and 26.4 ㎛ respectively. The C-factor was related to the %flexure rather than the cusp deflection. There was a strong positive correlationship between the L³ / T³ and the cusp deflection. The cusp deflection of Group 5 and 6 were 17.4 ㎛ and 17.9 ㎛ respectively, which are much lower value than that of Group 4.
