Mito-Tempo Can Protect Against the Allergic Airway Inflammation through Reducing Mitochondrial ROS Generation

Oxidative stress is well known to be implicated in the development of asthma. The mitochondrial respiratory chain is a major site of intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation and, at the same time, an important target for the damaging effects of ROS. Mito-Tempo is a specific mitochondrial ROS inhibitor and it is known to be associated with opening of mi-tochondrial permeability transition pore and inhibition of cell necroptosis or apoptosis. However, there is little information on the protective effects of Mito-Tempo on the inflammatory airway disorders including bronchial asthma and its acute exacerbation. We investigate the effects of Mito-tempo on the allergic airway inflammation and hyperresponsiveness using the mice sensitized with OVA and LPS and then challenged with OVA (OVALPS-OVA mice). The OVALPS-OVA mice showed the typical features of neutrophilic asthma; increased airway inflammatory cells, the pathologic changes, the increased levels of Th2 cytokines in lungs of OVALPS-OVA mice, increased mitochondrial ROS generation, and increased bronchial hyperresponsiveness. Interestingly, we found that in OVALPS-OVA mice, Mito-Tempo, a novel mitochondrial targeting agent significantly reduced the increases in inflammatory cytokines, mitochondrial ROS generation, airway inflammation, and bron-chial hyperresponsiveness. These findings indicate that mitochondrial dysfunction including oxidative damage may be im-plicated in the pathogenesis of bronchial asthma and provide the therapeutic potential of a mitochondrial targeting agent, Mito-Tempo, for bronchial asthma.

<물고기의 축제>에 나타난 인물의 역할과 활용

The purpose of this study is to explore the theory of dramatherapy for establishing relations between characters and dramatic plot and also to find a way of dramatherapeutic practices in use of the plays. For this, the study analyzed with Role model Theory of Robert J. Landy, characters of a drama, <The Funeral of a Fish>, written by Mi-Ri Yoo. Landy categorized 84 role types of characters in Western dramatic literature based on six domains named Somatic, Cognitive, Affective, Social, Spiritual and Aesthetic. By applying this categorization, the role types of two characters in <The Funeral of a Fish> can be described as follows. Sadako: Wife, Mother, Victim, Seducer, Adulterer, Parasite and Zombie Huyuo: Victim, Rebel, Dreamer, Hothead, Avenger, Tyrant, Worker, Killer and Suicide In the drama, the `Zombie` role of Sadako and Huyuo`s `Rebel Son and the Tyrant` role have effects on each other. These two roles, `Rebel` and `Zombie`, drove two characters, as time went by, to both extremes resulted in Huyuo`s suicide. Thus, Huyuo, who killed himself, could be an abnormal and antisocial character. Huyuo`s dramatic change from `Victim` to `Tyrant and Killer` was resulted from the fact that he didn`t have a `guide` and he did not know the benefits of balance from coexistence of roles. Landy`s role model theory not only provides new viewpoints for analyzing characters in a drama but also enables drama therapy to be a practical remedy based on a drama. For the dramatherapy, we distinguished social role from dramatic role in relation to the actor: the latter on the fictitious stage, the former in a real world. The very important thing is the fact that the actor plays many social roles by means of aesthetic distance. And this also applies to the process of dramatherapy; the client not only acknowledges his roles in the society by playing various roles on a stage, but also he can acquire the ability of maintaining balance between himself with his own eyes and himself with others` view. In order to develope dramatherapy, one of various fields derived from drama, we need to pay more attention to drama itself as well as to apply other tools, such as sociology and psychology, for relating drama, fictious stage and society, real world.

국내 교수설계자 역량개발을 위한 교육요구 분석

The purpose of this study was to analyze educational needs of instructional designers for competency development and investigate a basic data of educational program that can help competency development of instructional designers. The data was collected by using the e-mail with questionnaire developed by researcher and 104 cases were analyzed finally. Collected data was analyzed using the SPSS 12.0 for Windows statistical package. The educational needs of instructional designers were calculated by using the Borich‘s formula. Each question conducted a frequency analysis to catch hold of instructional designers’ authentic needs for competency development. Through this study derives the followings: First, Total rank of educational needs for instructional designers, second, each area(Professional Foundations, Planning & Analysis, Design & Development, Implementation and Management, Evaluation) rank of educational needs for instructional designers, third, authentic needs for competency development program. The results of this study reflected authentic needs of instructional designers will be used a basic data to establish the curriculum and educational system for instructional designers‘ competency development. 본 연구의 목적은 e-learning 전문인력 중 다양한 역할을 수행하고 있는 교수설계자들을 대상으로 그들의 역량개발에 도움을 줄 수 있는 교육프로그램 개발의 기초자료를 마련하고 역량중요도와 역량수준을 통해 교육요구도를 분석하는 것이다. 총 104부의 설문지를 최종 분석에 사용하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 12.0통계 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다. 교수설계자들의 역량개발을 위한 교육프로그램에 대한 실제적 요구를 파악하기 위해 각 항목별로 빈도분석을 실시하였고, 교수설계자들의 역량중요도와 역량수준 응답 결과를 Borich의 공식에 적용하여 교육요구도를 산출하였다. 교수설계자들이 인식하고 있는 영역별(기초역량, 기획 및 분석, 설계 및 개발, 활용 및 관리, 평가) 교육요구도 순위, 교육요구도 통합순위, 교육프로그램에 대한 실제적 요구에 대한 결과를 얻었다. 교수설계자들의 실제적인 요구가 반영된 연구결과는 교수설계자들의 역량개발을 위한 교육과정 및 교육체계를 구축하는 데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

중학교 야구선수의 스포츠상해에 관한 연구

The purpose of this research is to study the kinds of injures inflicted on middle school baseball players during sports activity. The subject of study is 168 students in 10 middle schools located in Seoul. With students answering a questionnaire given, the research is done by the Self-assessment recording method The collected research data were analyzed with the Frequency Evaluation method, which is sub-program of SAS. The result of the research on injures of baseball players is as follows; First, the injured parts of body are arms(39.58%), legs(18.35%), feet(14.37%), face(10.47%), abdomen(8.66%), chest(3.38%). Second, the symptoms of the injures are partial injures(30.69%), pains in movement(21.23%), snap sound in joint movement(17.14%), hypodermic bleeding(15.86%), muscular cramp(15.09%), The degree of the injures are joints(40.71%), muscles and tendon(35.22%), bones(19.55%), the mervous system(3.52%). Third, the situations when the injures were inflected are as follows; hit by batted balls(25.2%), bumped against fielders(6.6%), bumped against fences(1.0%), etc(16.3%). Fourth, the causes of the injures are mistakes of the players, the defects of equipment, the defects of facilities. Fifth, the occurrence rate of the injures is higher during training(67.41%) rather than during games(32.59%). In allpositions, afternoon training saw 60.82% of all the injures, morning training, 30.20%, night training, 8.57%, dawn training, 0.41%. Sixth, professional doctors treated 39.6% of all the injures, players themselves, 30.6%, coaches or managers, 22.4%, insurance companies, 0.4%, etc, 6.9%. For the treatment measures, there are physical therapy, balms, and PAS(Para-Amino-Salycylic)(20.8%), ice fomentation(18.8%), acuquncture and moxacautery(14.2%), operation(9.3%). Seventh, for the condition after treatment, players said; 'can use the injured parts of the body as well as they used to be' and 'continue using them though painful'(31.25%), 'the injured parts the body are often hurt'(20.09%), 'try not to use the parts of body feeling the pains'(13.39%), 'never use them'(4.02%), For the aftereffect of the injures, players said; 'continue using them though painful'(42.86%), 'can use them as well as before'(35.20%),'try not to use them feeling the pain'(11.22%), 'injured parks are often hurt again'(8.16%), 'never use them'(2.55%). Eighth, infielders felt the best mental condition after treatment, with outfielders, pitchers, and catchers in order.

The research construct and the research model were created and through theory building related literature was collected and organized. So that construct would be valid the respondents were first phoned and asked to answer the questionnaire then the data was obtained from the 162 respondents through mailed questionnaires to persons in the Seoul and Inchon ares. The data was analyzed through the statistical methods of Frequency, Factor Analysis, ANOVA, Correlation. The results of the analysis is as follows. First, there was no correlation between job stress and the medical health index. Second, the results of the Questionnaire showed a negative relationship between job stress and the psychosomatic health index. Accordingly the study shows that the psychosomatic health index and the physical health index must necessarily by congruent. Third, the non-moderating role that social support, health-risk behavior, age, sex has on the relationship between job stress and the psychosomatic health index was discovered. When looking at the results it is seen that there is no relationship between job stress and the physical health of the worker, it appears that job stress seems to be a cognitive perception of the worker due to feelings of drowsiness. There is no worker in the organization that doesn't feel stress. In modern society in order to develop sound individuals, organizations and society, job stress should be managed and can be managed. The sources of job stress were found and the potential factors were either lowered or elminated. In order to manage job stress a method to cope with it must be developed. This research has contributed to the explainability of the moderating and the mediating variables and also provides a methodological model for future researchers and companies to follow that provided information not only on aspects of job stress but also physical health through the use of the physical health index. Furthermore, the significance of this study was to attempt to discover relationship between job stress and the physical health.

특수연극놀이의 양상과 그 효과

The art education is more important in the 7th curriculum which accentuates the children's originality and self-control. Especially drama education. Because Drama education gives them the pleasure to 'play' in two senses --- doing a performance and amusing --- and has other arts in itself. Dramatherapy is a new part of drama education with different subjects and aims. That is very good for the physically and mentally handicapped children. Dramatherapy has several phases: Warm-up, Sense Training, Physical Presentation, Small Group Works, Drama playing and Arrangement. They learn in particular the body flexibility and the socialization through it. Drama Act is not only playing a role. The children understand the existence of the others with whom they live together and their situation clearly. Also the ability to express their thoughts in a body and words which means socialization. The self-confidence and the pleasure to play as well. The advance of science gives us more comfortable life but the mental disease at the same time. Drama education included dramatherapy will be one of the favorite curriculum in 21th Century in consequence.

MCT 대체 마요네즈의 물성적 특성 및 기호도에 관한 연구

The study was carried on the rheological properties and sensory evaluations of mayonnaise substitued by MCT. Nowdays we are consideration of the fat replacer and fat substitutes. It was known that fat and oils had become causes for cardiac disease, obesity and cancer, so the new materials were needed for fat replacer. MCT(medium chain triglyceride) is one of the fat bsed substitutes used as fat replacer. In case of making of mayonnaise substituted by MCT, springiness of mayonnaise prepared with SO substituted by over 20% MCT increased highly, cohesiveness of mayonnaise made of 10-20% MCT substitution was similar to that made without MCT. And hardness, gumminess, and chewiness of mayonnaise prepared with 10-30% MCT substitution were similar or increased more or less to that made with SO only. In the result of color measurement by colorimeter brightness of that made with SO substituted by 10-30% MCT was similar to that made with SO only, redness was almost same without differences significantly in all samples with or without MCT, but yellowness was decreased highly over 10% MCT substitution. By the results of sensory evaluations, appearance, color, and flavor of cakes prepared with CO substituted by MCT until 100% were shown to be better, and taste was better in range of 30% MCT substitution, but texture had lower acceptability than those of cake made without MCT. While in case of mayonnaise, appearance, color, flavor, texture, and taste were obtained worse score, overall acceptance was similar in the range of 10% MCT substitution but was decreased highly upon MCT substitution ratios increase over 20% substitution than that made with SO only. Respecting that the necessity of fat substitute become real situation in dietary in the future, it will be suggested that many foods containing fats and oils will substitute by MCT and another fat replacer.

《봄이 오면 산에 들에》의 극적 구조

Choi, In-Hoon wrote many novels for a long time, but entered the world of drama later. So the major trends of studies about his works are divided into two parts ; novels and dramas. This essay is aimed to show the dramatic structure of his aesthetic world in the 《When spring comes in the hills and flelds》. As a result of analyzing the work, I knew that he enlarged the field of drama through renewing the convention about the stage directions. The brief results that I studied are below. 1.The writer thought that play is 'planned dream' thoroughly. So he intended the audience to experience the dream which he made up, and to have a chance to change by themselves. In order to accomplish that purpose, he enlarged the role of the stage directions in his works. The existing stage directions are assistant elements of drama, and do not have an effect on the audience. But in his works, those factors lead the atmosphere of full drama, and became main characters at last. 2.The scene of 'here and now' and that of 'there and before' overlapped on the stage. So the real place changed to a paradise, where all the features live well together. That is reflected in the writer's tragic world view. 3.The writer wanted to win the staff and cast over to his thoughts through his deep attention to the stage directions. That is the reason why his stage directions have a poetic rhythm. 4.To meet the intentional audience, the writer broke down the old long conventions, and invented the new one. Writers ought to pay an obligation to seek a possibility constantly. And that I called him a true writer by reason of above.
