A New Approach for Information Security usin Improved Steganography Technique

Mamta Juneja,Parvinder Singh Sandhu 한국정보처리학회 2013 Journal of information processing systems Vol.9 No.3

This research paper proposes a secured, robust approach of information security using steganography. It presents two component based LSB (Least Significant Bit) steganography methods for embedding secret data in the least significant bits of blue components and partial green components of random pixel locations in the edges of images. An adaptive LSB based steganography is proposed for embedding data based on the data available in MSB’s (Most Significant Bits) of red, green, and blue components of randomly selected pixels across smooth areas. A hybrid feature detection filter is also proposed that performs better to predict edge areas even in noisy conditions. AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) and random pixel embedding is incorporated to provide two-tier security. The experimental results of the proposed approach are better in terms of PSNR and capacity. The comparison analysis of output results with other existing techniques is giving the proposed approach an edge over others. It has been thoroughly tested for various steganalysis attacks like visual analysis, histogram analysis, chi-square,and RS analysis and could sustain all these attacks very well.

Intubating laryngeal mask airway as an independent ventilatory and intubation device. A comparison between supine, right lateral and left lateral

        Mamta Panwar,Avnish Bharadwaj,Gaurav Chauhan,Drubajyoti Kalita 대한마취통증의학회 2013 Korean Journal of Anesthesiology Vol.65 No.4

Background: Sudden loss of airway in patients in the lateral position has always been proven to be difficult to manage with conventional laryngoscopy. We performed a randomized controlled trial to prove the success rate of ventilation and intubation in the lateral position via intubating laryngeal mask airway (ILMA). Methods: Ninety patients were divided into three groups of 30 patients each, positioned supine, right lateral, and left lateral randomly. Each group comprised of both sexes of American Society of Anesthesiologists grade I and II, aged between 18-55 years with normal airway posted for surgery under general anesthesia. Patients were pre-medicated with fentanyl followed by induction with propofol and neuromuscular blockade with rocuronium. ILMA was inserted and blind tracheal intubation via ILMA was done. The success rate, time taken and the number of adjusting maneuvers used for both procedures were recorded. The data was tabulated and analyzed using ANOVA (analysis of variance), multiple ‘t’ test and chi square. Results: The success rate of intubation (96%) and time taken in insertion and intubation was found to be quite similar in all the three groups. Conclusions: We conclude that the ILMA has an important role to play in the emergency management of airways in patients in the lateral position in terms of ease, success rate and time taken.

A simplified chair-side remount technique using customized mounting platforms

Mamta Devendrakumar Chauhan,Shankar Pandharinath Dange,Arun Narayan Khalikar,Smita Padmakar Vaidya 대한치과보철학회 2012 The Journal of Advanced Prosthodontics Vol.4 No.3

Correct occlusal relationships are part of the successful prosthetic treatment for edentulous patients. Fabrication of complete dentures comprises of clinical and laboratory procedures that should be executed accurately for achieving success with fabricated dentures. Errors occurring during the clinical and laboratory procedures of a denture may subsequently lead to the occlusal errors in the final prosthesis. These occlusal errors can be corrected in two ways: i) in patient's mouth ii) by recording new centric relation and remounting dentures on an articulator. The latter method is more feasible because the mobility of denture base on the mucosa in oral cavity does not permit the identification of premature contacts in centric occlusion and tooth guided eccentric excursions. This article describes a modest and effective clinical chair-side remount procedure using customized mounting platforms.

Electrochemical Behaviour of (2,4-difluoro-phenyl)-(2-phenyl-1H-quinolin- 4-ylidene)-amine in Aprotic Media

        Mamta Kumari,D. K. Sharma 대한화학회 2011 대한화학회지 Vol.55 No.1

The electrochemical reduction of (2,4-difluoro-phenyl)-(2-phenyl-1H-quinolin-4-ylidene)-amine was investigated in 0.1 M tetrabutylammoniumbromide in N,N-dimethylformamide at glassy carbon electrode (GCE) using the technique of cyclic voltammetry at the room temperature (290 K). The reduction of imines occurs in two successive steps, involving one electron in each. In this medium the first peak was observed at about -0.793 V (vs Ag/Ag^+) at the glassy carbon electrode surface, which is more stable and well defined as compared to the second peak. The diffusion coefficient (D_0) of imine in the investigated solvent media has been calculated using the modified Randles-Sevcik equation. The electron transfer coefficient (α) of the reactant species has also been calculated.

Does the presence and amount of epinephrine in 2% lidocaine affect its anesthetic efficacy in the management of symptomatic maxillary molars with irreversible pulpitis?

        Mamta Singla,Megha Gugnani,Mandeep S Grewal,Umesh Kumar,Vivek Aggarwal 대한치과마취과학회 2022 Journal of Dental Anesthesia and Pain Medicine Vol.22 No.1

Background: This was a randomized controlled clinical trial that aimed to evaluate the anesthetic efficacy of 2% lidocaine combined with different concentrations of epinephrine (plain, 1:200,000 and 1:80,000) during endodontic treatment of maxillary molars with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis. Methods: The trial included 144 adult patients who were randomly allocated to three treatment groups. All patients received buccal-plus-palatal infiltration. After 10 min, pulp sensibility testing was performed using an electric pulp test (EPT). If a tooth responded positively, anesthesia was considered to have failed. In the case of a negative EPT response, endodontic access was initiated under rubber dam isolation. The success of anesthesia was defined as having a pain score less than 55 on the Heft Parker visual analog scale (HP VAS), which was categorized as ‘no pain’ or ‘faint/weak/mild’ pain on the HP VAS. Baseline pre-injection and post-injection maximum heart rates were recorded. The Pearson chi-square test was used to analyze the anesthetic success rates at 5% significance. Results: Plain 2% lidocaine and 2% lidocaine with 1:200,000 epinephrine and 1:80,000 epinephrine had anesthetic success rates of 18.75%, 72.9%, and 82.3%, respectively. Statistical analysis indicated significant differences between the groups (P < 0.001, χ2 = 47.5, df = 2). The maximum heart rate increase was seen with 2% lidocaine solution with epinephrine. Conclusion: Adding epinephrine to 2% lidocaine significantly improves its anesthetic success rates during the root canal treatment of maxillary molars with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis.

Finite element analysis of the mechanical properties of graphene aluminium nanocomposite: varying weight fractions, sizes and orientation

        Mamta Dahiya,Virat Khanna,Suneev Anil Bansal 한국탄소학회 2023 Carbon Letters Vol.33 No.6

In this study, the elastic properties of aluminium nanocomposite representative volumetric element (RVE) reinforced with GNP have been analysed. Pure aluminium is lightweight and has low strength which is not suitable for various aerospace applications. Adding graphene to aluminium gives a highly strengthened nano-matrix. A 3D multiscale finite element (FE) representative volumetric element (RVE) has been developed to estimate the mechanical behaviour of GNP-reinforced aluminium graphene nanocomposite (AGNC). The factors influencing the behaviour of AGNC have been investigated with different weight fractions (wt%), sizes and orientations of GNP. The Young’s modulus of AGNC is enhanced by increasing the wt% of GNP and reducing the size of GNP in the aluminium matrix. The Young’s modulus of AGNC with 1% wt% has been enhanced two times and yield strength by five times than pure Al matrix. In the case of different sizes of GNP, the strength of 15-nm-diameter GNP AGNC enhanced two times and medium-sized GNP, i.e. 30 nm has shown a great combination of strength and ductility. After that different orientations have also influenced the mechanical properties and enhancement shown in layered orientation compared to different angles of GNP.

      • Various Techniques to Reduce PAPR in OFDM Systems : A Survey

Mamta Bisht,Alok Joshi 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.8 No.11

A non-constant envelope with high peaks is a main disadvantage of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). These high peaks produce signal excursions into non-linear region of operation of the Power Amplifier (PA) at the transmitter, thereby leading to non-linear distortions and spectral spreading. Many Peak to Average Power Ration (PAPR) reductions methods have been proposed in the literature. The objective of this review is to give a clear understanding of different techniques to reduce PAPR of the signal.
