Abstract

Recent discovery of neutrino large mixings implies the large mixings in the diagonalizing matrices of 5 ¯ fields in S U ( 5 ) grand unified theory (GUT), while the diagonalizing matrices of 10 fields of S U ( 5 ) are expected to have small mixings like Cabibbo–Kobayashi–Maskawa matrix. We calculate the predictions of flavor changing nucleon decays (FCND) in S U ( 5 ) , S O ( 10 ) , and E 6 GUT models which have the above features for mixings. We found that FCND can be the main decay mode and play an important role to test GUT models.

A three-dimensional constitutive modeling for reinforced concrete is presented for finite element nonlinear analysis of reinforced concrete. The targets of interest to the authors are columns confined by lateral steel hoops, RC thin shells subjected to combined in-plane and out-of-plane actions and massive structures of three-dimensional (3D) extent in shear. The elasto-plastic and continuum fracture law is applied to pre-cracked solid concrete. For post cracking formulation, fixed multi-directional smeared crack model is adopted for RC domains of 3D geometry subjected to monotonic and reversed cyclic actions. The authors propose a new scheme of decomposing stress strain fields into sub-planes on which 2D constitutive laws can be applied. The proposed model for 3D reinforced concrete is experimentally verified in both member and structural levels under cyclic actions.
Transformer Equivalent Model for Switching Transients Computation

We measured transient recovery voltage (TRV) in a 1500 MVA-525 kV/276 kV/63 kV transformer of the three-phase-in-one-tank type. We proved that TRV can be measured by interrupting the current generated by discharging a capacitor of low voltage through the transformer. The current was interrupted at its zero point by a diode at a low voltage. To calculate TRV via a computation, we developed a transformer equivalent model composed of a L-C multi-mesh circuit. The TRV waveform computed using the transformer equivalent model we developed agreed well with the measured TRV waveform.
EVALUATION OF COMFORT OR PAIN BY V IRTUAL HUMAN IN USING OF SOME PRODUCT
( Yoshinori Maekawa ),( Bunzo Hasegawa ) 한국감성과학회 2002 춘계학술대회 Vol.2002 No.-
A virtual human which can evaluate Kansei such as comfort, pain, etc. when the virtual human uses some product is developed. In this paper, method of the evaluation of Kansei by the virtual human is presented. The body of our virtual human is modeled as an unifonn non-linear elastic one with a skeleton. The defonnation of the body on the contact with some product is simulated using a FEM analysis, and by using of the simulated results (load distribution, strain, etc.) on the contact surface the Kansei is predicted. As examples of the application, comfort of buttocks on seating and pain of ann on hanging of bag are shown. This virtual human can apply for the design of virtual products and also the simulation of medical care.
Relation between Lumbar Twist Angle and Surface Electromyogram (EMG)
Yasuko Maekawa,Akira Shiozaki,Yukie Majima 대한전자공학회 2009 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2009 No.7
This study measured the twist angle of the lumbar region and the surface electromyogram (EMG) and examined their correlation to elucidate the influence of “twist” on lower back pain (LBP). Using a goniometer (two-way angle and twist sensors) and an EMG (SX230;DKH Co., Ltd.), we conducted measurement by affixing the goniometer on the lumbar vertebral column and the EMG sensor on the right and left sides of L4 (of the erector muscle of the spine). The results show that EMG has higher correlation with twist angle in a standing posture keeping feet closed and has higher correlation with the twist angular velocity in a standing posture keeping feet open in breadth of shoulders. And twist with anteversion has an influence on the lumbar region more.
