Rule Accumulation Method with Modified Fitness Function based on Genetic Network Programming
Lutao Wang,Shingo Mabu,Fengming Ye,Kotaro Hirasawa 제어로봇시스템학회 2009 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2009 No.8
Genetic Network Programming (GNP) extended from GA and GP is competent for the complex problems in dynamic environments because of its directed graph structure, reusability of nodes and implicit memory function. In this paper, a new method to extract and accumulate rules from GNP is proposed. The general idea is to update the fitness values of the rules accumulatively, rather than just replacing them in the former research. That is, the rules which appear frequently in different generations are given higher fitness values because they represent good universal experiences from the past behaviors. By extracting the rules during the evolutionary period and then matching them with agents’ environments, we could guide the agents properly and get better rewards. In order to test the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed method, we applied the proposed method to the problem of Tile-world as the simulation environment. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
Optimization of Animation Curve Generation Based on Hermite Spline Interpolation
Liang Chen,Lutao Li 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.11 No.5
Computer animation is the combination of computer graphics and art field. In computer animation design, the adjustment of route for the animation object movement is a time consuming work for the designers. It is not only related to the generation of motion path curve, but also related to the speed smoothness of key frames. Based on the methodology of Hermite spline interpolation, this paper proposes a method to adjust the curve tangent vector length by considering the parameter of key frame, and use this method to relieve the unevenness of animation speed. Experimental results demonstrate that this method can improve the movement effect of animation route design efficiently.

Objective : To investigate the efficacy and safety of the posterior endoscopic cervical foraminotomy (PECF) using ultrasonic osteotome for the treatment of cervical osseous foraminal stenosis, focusing on introduction of the advantages of ultrasonic osteotome in partial pediculectomy and ventral osteophyte resection in PECF. Methods : Nineteen patients with cervical osseous foraminal stenosis who underwent PECF using ultrasonic osteotome in our institution between April 2018 and April 2021 were enrolled in this study. All the patients were followed up more than 12 months. The patients’ medical data, as well as pre- and postoperative radiologic findings were thoroughly investigated. The visual analogue score (VAS), Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) score, cervical dysfunction index (Neck disability index, NDI), and modified MacNab criteria were used to assess the surgical efficacy. Results : All the patients were successfully treated with PECF using ultrasonic osteotome. The pre- and postoperative VAS, NDI, and JOA scores were significantly improved (p<0.05). According to the modified MacNab criteria, 17 patients were assessed as “excellent”, two patients were assessed as “good” at the last follow-up. There was no dura tear, nerve root damage, incision infection, neck deformity, or other complications. Conclusion : Adequate nerve root decompression can be accomplished successfully with the help of ultrasonic osteotome in PECF, which has the advantage of reducing the probability of damage to the nerve root and dura mater, in addition to the original merits of endoscopic surgery.
Genetic Network Programming with General Individual Reconstruction
Fengming Ye,Shingo Mabu,Lutao Wang,Kotaro Hirasawa 제어로봇시스템학회 2009 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2009 No.8
Genetic Network Programming(GNP) which has been developed for dealing with problems in dynamic envi-ronments is a newly propose devolutionary approach with the data structure of directed graphs. GNP has been used in many different areas such as datamining, extracting trading rules of stock markets, elevator supervised control systems, etc and has obtained some out standing results. Focusing on GNP’s distinguishing expressionability of the graph structure, this paper proposes a method named Genetic Network Program-ming with General Individual Recon struction(GNP with GIR) which reconstructs the gene of randomly selected individuals and then under goes the special genetic operations by using the transition information of betterin dividuals. The unique indi-vidual reconstruction and genetic operations make individuals not only learn the experiences of better individuals but also strength enexploratio and exploration ability. GNP with GIR will be applied to the tile-world which is an excellent bench mark for evaluating the proposed architecture. The performances of GNP with GIR will becompared with conventional GNP demonstrating its superiority.

This paper proposes and investigates three potential reasons(dimensions, capability order and contingency of technologicaldiversification) which may explain why there are inconsistencies inthe findings of studies on the relationship between technologicaldiversification and firm performance. The results indicate that: (1)a more comprehensive definition is necessary, which combinesthe two dimensions of technological diversification (breadth anddepth), which are positively linked to firm performance; (2) in lowtechfirms, technological diversification serves as a higher-levelcapability resulting in higher performance; however, in high-techfirms, technological diversification serves as a zero-level capabilitythat does not contribute to firm performance and (3) intangiblecomplementary assets negatively moderate the relationshipbetween technological diversification and performance. Furtherresearch should consider the two dimensions to reach a morecomprehensive understanding of technological diversification. Firms should increase both the depth and breadth of theirtechnological diversification to enhance performance.
Technological upgrading in Chinese cities: the roles of FDI, pace and rhythm
Xin Pan,Fan Wang,Lutao Ning 기술경영경제학회 2018 ASIAN JOURNAL OF TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION Vol.26 No.1
Previously, most literature has argued that FDI spillovers aredependent upon the degree of foreign presence in host regions, but often neglected FDI expansion time-based characteristics’roles. This paper therefore develops the constructs of pace andrhythm as key features of foreign expansion process. It moves theconcept of time compression diseconomies beyond the firm levelto cities, and hopes to investigate how technological upgrading inone region is influenced by the FDI expansion process. Based onthe panel data set of 244 Chinese cities over 2004–2011, ourresults illustrate that irregular and unpredictable foreignexpansions significantly diminish FDI spillovers in Chinese cities, and it also directly impedes technological upgrading in local area. Rapid foreign expansion process itself impedes technologicalupgrading, but it significantly enhances technology transfers anddisseminations of FDI in Chinese cities. Moreover, this paper alsoprovides implications to contribute to the theoretical framework, and helps policy-makers’ decision-making

Oilfield wastewater has a significantly negative influence on the recovery efficiency due to its hypersalinity. Therefore, magnetic graphene oxide (GO) modified with ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA) and grafted bypolyethylene glycol (PEG) nano-adsorbent was prepared to remove the Ca2+ and Cr6+ in Jidong Oilfield wastewaterspecifically. It was noteworthy that PEG-g-EDTA/Fe3O4/GO nano-adsorbent had excellent adsorption performance, with removal ratios up to 71.6% for Ca2+ and 42.7% for Cr6+ at 30 min. After the fifth recycling run, the nano-adsorbentstill remained with high removal ratios (69.3% for Ca2+ and 30.5% for Cr6+) and high reuse rates (89.4% for Ca2+and 95.2% for Cr6+), indicating that the nano-adsorbent had outstanding adsorption-desorption efficacy and high reusability. The adsorption test results demonstrated that the total salinity of the treated oilfield wastewater decreased byabout 5,000 ppm, and the displacement efficiency further increased by 12.5% by chemical flooding compared with theuntreated wastewater. Therefore, PEG-g-EDTA/Fe3O4/GO nano-adsorbent is an adsorbent with excellent potentialwhich can effectively remove Ca2+ and Cr6+ in oilfield wastewater to enhance oil recovery (EOR).
