Health Economics Evaluation of a Gastric Cancer Early Detection and Treatment Program in China

Objective: To use health economics methodology to assess the screening program on gastric cancer in Zhuanghe, China, so as to provide the basis for health decision on expanding the program of early detection and treatment. Materials and Methods: The expense of an early detection and treatment program for gastric cancer in patients found by screening, and also costs of traditional treatment in a hospital of Zhuanghe were assessed. Three major techniques of medical economics, namely cost-effective analysis (CEA), cost-benefit analysis (CBA) and cost-utility analysis (CUA), were used to assess the screening program. Results: Results from CEA showed that investing every 25, 235 Yuan on screening program in Zhuanghe area, one gastric cancer patient could be saved. Data from CUA showed that it was cost 1, 370 Yuan per QALY saved. Results from CBA showed that: the total cost was 1,945,206 Yuan with a benefit as 8,669,709 Yuan and an CBR of 4.46. Conclusions: The early detection and treatment program of gastric cancer appears economic and society-beneficial. We suggest that it should be carry out in more high risk areas for gastric cancer.
Sulfhydryl Cotton Enrichment Separation-Determination of Silver in Geological Samples by ICP-MS

A rapid and inexpensive method was developed for the determination of trace silver in geological samples by using sulfhydryl cotton coupled with ICP-MS. The interferences such as $^{90}Zr$, $^{92}Mo$ and $^{93}Nb$ on silver were investigated in detail. Sulfhydryl cotton was found to be an effective adsorbent for separation of interferences for Ag in the solutions. Excellent agreements with the certified values were obtained for all the certified reference materials. The memory effects of Ag by ICP-MS were examined by using different agents, including water, nitric acid, and HCl-thiourea to all standards/samples. The agents also acted as cleansing solutions. A combination of HCl with thiourea gave the minimum memory effect. For comparison of results, a proposed Chinese Geology Survey procedure DC-ARC-AES and a direct determination pretreatment method of ICP-MS (water bath- auqa regia digestion) were studied. Under optimal conditions, the detection limits of our method for $^{107}Ag$ and $^{109}Ag$ were 1.2 ng/g and 1.3 ng/g, which offered much better accuracy for some difficult analysis geological samples such as GBW07604, GBW07605.
AN APPROXIMATE ALTERNATING LINEARIZATION DECOMPOSITION METHOD

An approximate alternating linearization decomposition method, for minimizing the sum of two convex functions with some separable structures, is presented in this paper. It can be viewed as an extension of the method with exact solutions proposed by Kiwiel, Rosa and Ruszczynski(1999). In this paper we use inexact optimal solutions instead of the exact ones that are not easily computed to construct the linear models and get the inexact solutions of both subproblems, and also we prove that the inexact optimal solution tends to proximal point, i.e., the inexact optimal solution tends to optimal solution.
A GENERALIZATION OF ARMENDARIZ AND NI PROPERTIES

Antoine showed that the properties of Armendariz and NI are independent of each other. The study of Armendariz and NI rings has been doing important roles in the research of zero-divisors in noncommutative ring theory. In this article we concern a new class of rings which generalizes both Armendariz and NI rings. The structure of such sort of ring is investigated in relation with near concepts and ordinary ring extensions. Necessary examples are examined in the procedure.
Using TRIZ Theory to Design and Analyze the Forest Environmental Factors Monitoring Platform

The study has proposed it can use the theory of TRIZ to improve Forest environmental factors monitoring platform (FEFMP) by solving the problem of organization, monitoring, control of power supply and so on during the networking of the forest IoT. The study first analyzes the evolution laws of the technology system, the best final solution, the substance-field models and technical contradiction in the application foundation of the TRIZ theory. Then, the best final solution of FEFMP based on mixed models has been raised by solving the technical contradiction using contradiction matrix tools and by solving the physical contradiction of the accuracy and power consumption using separation principle. It has raised and built mixed networking basing on 3G and ZigBee and established the FEFMP by using WebGIS and mobile GIS. Experiments show that the system runs well, which can provide reference for the following related researches.

It is not clear whether $Ca^{2+}-induced$ $Ca^{2+}$ release from the sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) is involved in the regulation of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) release. Previously, we have shown that nifedipine increased ANP release, indicating that $Ca^{2+}$ entry via voltage-gated L-type $Ca^{2+}$ channel activation decreases ANP release. The purpose of the present study was two-fold: to define the role of SR $Ca^{2+}$ release in the regulation of ANP release and whether $Ca^{2+}$ entry via L-type $Ca^{2+}$ channel is prerequisite for the SR-related effect on ANP release. Experiments were performed in perfused beating rabbit atria. Ryanodine, an inhibitor of SR $Ca^{2+}$ release, increased atrial myocytic ANP release ($8.69{\pm}3.05$, $19.55{\pm}1.09$, $27.31{\pm}3.51$, and $18.91{\pm}4.76$% for 1, 2, 3, and $6{\mu}M$ ryanodine, respectively; all P<0.01) with concomitant decrease in atrial stroke volume and pulse pressure in a dose-dependent manner. In the presence of thapsigargin, an inhibitor of SR $Ca^{2+}$ pump, ryanodine-induced increase in ANP release was not observed. Thapsigargin attenuated ryanodine-induced decrease in atrial dynamic changes. Blockade of L-type $Ca^{2+}$ channel with nifedipine abolished ryanodine-induced increase in ANP release ($0.69{\pm}5.58$% vs. $27.31{\pm}3.51$%; P<0.001). In the presence of thapsigargin and ryanodine, nifedipine increased ANP release and decreased atrial dynamics. These data suggest that $Ca^{2+}$-induced $Ca^{2+}$ release from the SR is inversely involved in the regulation of atrial myocytic ANP release.

This study aims at the status quo that theory is divorced from practice in embedded systems teaching process. A new theory teaching method is proposed that using Proteus as hardware simulation environment and Keil as software design environment. With this new method, in the teaching process, the hardware circuit can be simulated by the software environment. The joint use of Proteus and Keil in Embedded System Design Course teaching is clarified by an example of the design of electronic stopwatch which is using GPIO and timer in ARM7. This instance illustrates the flow and application methods about the joint application of Proteus and Keil in embedded system course teaching and practical application detailedly. By this method, it can stimulated students' interest in learning, and enhance the students' understanding of the principles and application of Embedded System Design. Thereby using this method can also improve the embedded system experiment teaching effect.
Comprehensive Evaluation of Forestry Desertification Based on Grey Relational Analysis

In china, forestry desertification is the one of the severest ecological problems, as well as the hot research of global environmental protection. Therefore, it is important to establish a scientific, reasonable, and feasible comprehensive evaluation system for forestry desertification to guide them to achieve multi-optimization of their monitoring, prediction, and control performance. This paper aims to get a comprehensive evaluation using the grey relational analysis method. Unlike the mathematical-statistics method, the grey relational analysis also is suitable for irregular data. On the basis of the proposed evaluation method, ten samples of Dumeng County were carried out to determine and evaluate the status quo by grey desertification system included fifteen indicators. This research offered new ideas for the desertification comprehensive evaluation and protection.
