광해군대 병려체(騈儷體) 관각문학(館閣文學)의 아젠다와 형식에 대한 소고(小考)
沈揆植 ( Sim¸ Kyu-sik ) 동방한문학회 2021 東方漢文學 Vol.- No.88
Although state literature of Kwanghaegun period demonstrates a significant historical movement of the epoch, not much has been studied in the field of Korean Sinitic literature and History. This study compiled the scattered literary works of the Kwanghaegun regime from various written sources and ascertained their creation period. And this paper selected important works and analyzed the background of creation: an attempt to strengthen the royal authority, development of hostility between factions, and change in diplomacy in East Asia, focusing on parallel prose style jade investiture documents, royal addresses, and imperial petitions in particular. This analysis revealed how the rhetoric of state literature embodied the agenda of the regime and what was the role of official writers-the two most prominent Yi Chŏngkwi and Yi Ich'ŏm-and the king's political actions. In addition, this study presented the development process of literary structure of royal address and diplomatic document of appreciation. The analysis suggested that the convention of parallel prose style royal address was highly standardized in Kwanghaegun period. And it also indicated that Yi Ich'ŏm's diplomatic document of appreciation follows the conventional style, which had formed from Koryŏ (Goryeo) era, though he used distinctive vocabulary and literary references.
Supporting the Priorities in the Multi-queue Block I/O Layer for NVMe SSDs
Kyusik Kim,Seungkyu Hong,김태석 대한전자공학회 2020 Journal of semiconductor technology and science Vol.20 No.1
Recently, a multi-queue block I/O layer has been introduced in the Linux kernel to support NVMe SSDs efficiently. It can provide a high I/O bandwidth by employing several queues but does not provide a differentiated I/O services yet. In this paper, we present a new scheme that supports the priorities in the multi-queue block I/O layer. Our scheme brings the CFS (Completely Fair Scheduler) technique that is one of CPU scheduler into the I/O layer. In this way, we can provide a differentiated I/O service regardless of whether processes are CPU-intensive or I/O intensive. Besides, by considering the I/O request type, read requests are preferentially handled over write requests. Through implementation on the Linux kernel, we show that the proposed scheme appropriately services the I/O requests according to priority and request type and improves runtimes of read-intensive and write-intensive processes by 33% and 15%, respectively.

This study examines the bridge memorial stones of Chosŏn, considering the intersection between public literature and exile literature. Bridge memorial stones are erected to commemorate stone bridge construction in a community. The entire community―from the local administration to the people―contributed to the bridge construction and the compositon of the epigraphs on bridge memorial stones. The genre developed into a type of public literature, forming a practical style without personal narratives. This paper categorizes the contents of bridge memorial stones into three parts: prose, verse, and name lists, and analyzes the general characteristics and literary style of each part. Furthermore, this paper introduces “The Epigraph of Kwangnigyo” by the exile Sim Yŏlchi (1707-1759?) and compares it with conventional epigraphs of bridge memorial stones in Chosŏn. Although written by an outsider to the Kijang (Gijang) community, it captured the local identity by adopting folklore of the dragon king Kwangniwang and affirmed the leading power of the local people. In addition, the author included an image of himself as marginalized from the community in a fictional story. This unique manuscript presents a new perspective on exile literature as a result of active participation in a community.
New Rail-to-Rail Column Driver for 8-bit Large TFT LCD Applications
Kyusik Lee,Jongbae Son,Wooram Lee,Sooyang Park,Sanghee Son,Wonsup Chung 대한전자공학회 2007 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2007 No.7
In this paper, a high-speed low-power column driver using a new rail-to-rail scheme is proposed, designed and evaluated for large TFT LCD applications. The proposed output driver is composed of a differential amplifier stage, second amplifier stage, driver selector, dual push-pull output driver stage for rail-to-rail output driving and feedback path selector. The output driver amplifier achieves a very large driving capability by eliminating the RON of the output switches used for polarity control. This increases the output driving speed while retaining low quiescent current consumption and can minimize the area of the output driving transistors and switches used for output polarity inversion. The quiescent current consumptions for the PMOS input driver and NMOS input driver are 10uA/channel on average.
Reducing the User-perceived Latency of Browsers with NVRAM
Kyusik Kim,Yongwoon Cho,Seongmin Kim,Taeseok Kim 대한전자공학회 2017 Journal of semiconductor technology and science Vol.17 No.1
Non-volatile RAM (NVRAM) provides many opportunities to improve the performance of computing devices. In this paper, we present an approach that reduces the user-perceived latency of browsers by using NVRAM. To this end, we first analyze the browser launch process, and then employ several techniques that improve the performance of each step by using NVRAM. Specially, we focus on minimizing the launch time of browser by 1) prefetching the block sequence required for browser launch, 2) caching the web resources in the fast NVRAM, and 3) reusing the displayed bitmap data in the frame buffer. Through implementation, we show that our scheme significantly reduces the launch time of browsers.
Novel Multiple Output Converter using Quasi Load
Kyusik Choi(최규식),Byeongchul Hyun(현병철),Seoungwoon Lee(이승운),Bohyung Cho(조보형) 전력전자학회 2010 전력전자학술대회 논문집 Vol.2010 No.7
In this paper, a novel multiple output converter using quasi load is proposed. Conventional multiple output converters using multiwinding transformer has poor output voltage regulations. To solve this problem, there are many proposals like post regulation method, weighted control method, and etc. However, the post regulation method regulates output voltage tightly but its conduction loss and cost are increased. And the weighted control can achieve high efficiency and low cost but its regulation is not enough. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a novel multiple output converter using quasi load. The proposed method uses a quasi load which acts like an active dummy load for tight regulation but there is rarely increase of loss and cost. The proposed method is verified by hardware test by two output(24V and 15V) flyback type converter.
An Active Output Filter with a Novel Control Strategy for Passive Output Filter Reduction
Kyusik Choi,Bo-Hyung Cho 전력전자학회 2016 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.16 No.3
This paper presents a novel control strategy for passive output filter reduction using an active output filter. The proposed method achieves the dual-function of regulating the output voltage ripple and output voltage variation during load transients. The novel control strategy allows traditional simple voltage controllers to be used, without requiring the expensive current sensors and complex controllers used in conventional approaches. The proposed method is verified with results from a 125-W forward converter.
