Objectives : This study was designed to determine the mutagenic potential of CSⅡ-YAKCHIM, manufactured from Brassicae Semen, Raphani Semen, Persicae Semen, and Carthami Fructus extract, using histidine requiring Salmonella typhimurium (TA98, TA100, TA1535, and TA1537) and tryptophan requiring Escherichia coli (WP2uvrA(pKM101)) strains. Methods : In order to determine the dose levels of the main study, the dose range finding study was conducted. The high dose was selected at 5,000 μg/plate and it was sequentially diluted by the geometric ratio of 4 to 1,250, 313, 78.1 and 19.5 μg/plate. As a result, the growth inhibition and deposition by the CSⅡ-YAKCHIM was not evident at any dose levels in the absence and presence of metabolic activation. Therefore, the dose levels of the main study were selected as 5,000, 2,500, 1,250, 625, and 313 μg/plate. Also, the negative and positive control groups were used. Results : As a result of the main study, the mean number of revertant colonies was less than twice when compared to the negative control values at all dose levels of the test substance in the presence and absence of metabolic activation, without dose-related increase. In the positive control group, the number of revertant colonies was markedly increased when compared to that of the negative control group. Conclusions : Based on the results of this study, the test substance, CSⅡ-YAKCHIM, did not exhibit any indications of mutagenic potential under the conditions of this study.
This study aims to develop the methods for selecting and evaluating landscape resource of rural areas. A Site of this study is Chungchung-namdo. A selection inventories of rural landscape was based on the rural amenity resources surveyed by rural development adminstration(48,440-sites). A surveying the rurality of the rural amenity resources is to be selected the representative landscape(500-sites representative landscapes). By the survey questionnaire with landscape picture slide and rural prototypes, 500-sites and 100-sites were selected as to be representative landscapes. Five point scale evaluation for 100-site representative landscapes was used to grade each of them, through which the characteristics of representative landscape in each village unit were investigated. The study results suggest that it seems possible to extract the representative landscape of the rural amenity resources surveyed by rural development adminstration. Selected were these rural amenity representative landscape resources by using t for basic information about the conservation of rural characteristics, systematic rural landscape maintenance, and rural tourism revitalization.
Bortezomib (Velcade(R)) is a newly developed chemotherapeutic agent that is mainly used for the treatment of multiple myeloma. It is a selective and reversible inhibitor of proteasome, which is a multicatalytic enzyme complex found in the cytoplasm of all eukaryotic cells. Its therapeutic target is nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB), which is a kind of transcription factor. Bortezomib blocks inhibitory κB protein degradation, it prevents NF-κB activation and it induces apoptosis in multiple myeloma cells. Its side effects are known to be fatigue, gastrointestinal symptoms, thrombocytopenia and peripheral neuropathy. However, little is known about its cutaneous adverse effects. A 76 year-old patient with multiple myeloma had been treated with MP (melphalan and prednisone) chemotherapy, but the treatment was not effective. Therefore, the chemotherapeutic regimen was changed to bortezomib only. Two days after the first administration of bortezomib, multiple erythematous papules and purpuric patches on the trunk and both extremities developed. The cutaneous symptoms improved after the discontinuation of bortezomib. However, the skin lesion was aggravated during the 2nd bortezomib chemotherapeutic cycle and new erythematous papules developed on his face during the 3rd bortezomib chemotherapeutic cycle. The histopathologic finding showed predominant lymphocytic infiltration with some eosinophils around the vessel walls in combination with red blood cell extravasation. Herein, we report on a 76-year-old male patient with multiple myeloma and who developed cutaneous vasculitis after the administration of bortezomib. (Korean J Dermatol 2009;47(12):1392∼1396)

Objectives : The purpose of present study was to investigate the vasorelaxant activities and mechanisms of action of the ethanol extract of P. yedoensis leaf (PYL) on isolated rat aortic rings. Methods : Dried P. yedoensis leaves were extracted 3 times with 100% ethanol for 3 h in a reflux apparatus. Isolated rat aortic rings were suspended in organ chambers containing 10 ml Krebs-Henseleit (K-H) solution. The rings were maintained at 37℃ and aerated with a mixture of 95% O2 and 5% CO2. Changes in their tension were recorded via isometric transducers connected to a data acquisition system. Results : PYL relaxed the contraction of aortic rings induced by phenylephrine (PE, 1 μM) or KCl (60 mM) in a concentration dependent manner. However, the vasorelaxant effects of PYL on endothelium-denuded aortic rings were lower than endothelium-intact aortic rings. And the vasorelaxant effects of PYL on endothelium-intact aortic rings were reduced by pre-treatment with Nω-Nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (10 μM), methylene blue (10 μM), 1-H-[1,2,4]-oxadiazolo-[4,3-α]-quinoxalin-1-one (10 μM), tetraethylammonium (5 mM). In addition, PYL inhibited the contraction induced by extracellular Ca2+ in endothelium-denuded aortic rings pre-contracted by PE or KCl in Ca2+-free K-H solution. Conclusions : These results suggest that PYL exerts its vasorelaxant effects via the activation of Nitric Oxide (NO) formation by means of L-arginine and NO-cGMP pathways and via the blockage of receptor operated calcium channels, voltage dependent calcium channels and calcium-activated potassium channels.
현대는 다양한 미디어들이 등장하여 종이 자체가 인쇄매체의 총아로서 지녔던 기존의 위력은 점차 약화되었으나 조형예술 분야에서 종이가 지닌 재질감을 비롯한 여러 장점을 새롭게 재인식하여 조형적 표현 수단으로서 활발하게 활용 되어지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 종이조형 기법을 이용하여 의상소재로서의 종이의 기능성과 심미성을 강화하고 독특한 실루엣과 형태를 강조 응용하였다. 또한 독창적인 디자인을 표현하여 예술 공연 및 의상이미지를 형상화 한 디스플레이용으로 이용가능한 미술의상을 창조하고자 하는 데 목적을 둔다. 이에 종이조형의 역사를 문헌을 통해 고찰하고 특성 및 기법과 더불어 종이의상의 발전 과정과 종이를 소재로 한 현대의상을 자료를 통해 팔펴보았다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합하면 다음과 같다. 첫째 종이조형 기법은 변화무쌍한 조형성으로 인해 미술의상에 다양한 형태를 부여할 수 있는 잠재력을 갖고 있음을 홝인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 종이의 빳빳한 성질은 주름과 컷팅 기법을 통해 입체적 조형미를 부여할 수 있었으며, 그에 따른 독특한 재질감은 중첩의 묘미를 표현하는데 효과적임을 알 수 있었다. 셋째 종이의 부족한 내구성을 보완하기 위해 PVA 접착제를 사용하여 종이간의 결합을 중대시키고 더불어 조형소재로서의 견고성과 착용가능성을 증가시켰다. 넷째, 종이조형 기법의 ㄷ양한 형태는 인채체와 연관하여 새롭고 독특한 실루엣을 형성함으로 인해, 평면에서부터 입체조형에 이르기까지 다양한 표현이 가틍하며, 이를 미술의상에 응용함으로써 창조적인 조형감과 재질감을 구현할 수 있다. 다섯째, 종이의상은 섬유소재에 비하여 잘 찢어지고 물에 약한 단점이 있으나 일회성의 퍼포먼스나 공연의상으로는 사용 가능하며, 빛을 투과하는 종이의 특성을 고려할 때 상업공간의 장식이나 디스플 레이용으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구를 통해 종이의 가장 큰 단점인 내구성 부족의 한계를 PVA도포를 이용하여 극복하고, 종이조형 기법에 의한 미술의상의 독특한 조형미를 추구하고자 하였다. 또한 더욱더 다양한 종이소재와 종이조형기법을 접목시킨 복합적인 표현기법의 연구와 실험이 계속되고, 이를 통하여 미술의상에 있어서 예술성이 증대되기를 바란다. In the mcxiern ages, new appearance various media was weakening the influence of paper-based media. However, the strength of paper-feeling in the field of formative arts was newly understocxi and then is becoming the instrument of expression methcxi for formative art areas. This study is focusing on the unique silhouette and formation through sU``engthening the practicality and aesthetical functions of paper with a paper-formation methcxi, and then is applying these to costume design so that it is possible to create more than high value-added costume design-formation showing something unique. First, the paper-formation method has a potential of allowing diversity due to unshaped format. Second, due to original property of paper, the bonding can enhance the coupling prope.rty between papers in order to double the practicality, possibility of wearing and duration. Third, the various paper-formation methcxi can express from 2D to 3D freely thank to its new and unique silhouette related with human structure. it can be applied to dress design and realize the creative formation and material feeling. Lastly, the effort of application to dothes with the property of paper will look out the possibility of new valuable material for the costume design. in conclusion, I hope that the pursuit of unique formation of costume design through paper-formation method will be a key role enlarging its scale or area toward new valuable area of formation arts. Furthermore, more than uniqueness and practicality will be expended by the additional and complex study combining various paper-formation methods with new materials. That is my earnest desire.
