A survey was conducted on 1539 working girls, for 6 months, from March 1, 1971 to Aguest 31, 1971, for th purpose of understanding their current status of morbidity and utilzation of medical care. The summarized results ate as follows: Ⅱ. Socio-medical characteristcs of the surveyed people: 1) The composition of population surveyed by age: 52.5% of the surveyed people were 17 to 20 of age. 2) The majority of the surueyed people (66.4%) were middle school graduates in education. Ⅱ. Sickness status and utiliation of medical care: 1) There had ocurred 1539 cases during the surveyed period. and among them 46% were prevailed spring, 54% were in summer. It showed that summer had higher prevalence, 205.4 cases out of 1,000 per-sons, than that of spring. 175.4 case. 2) It was revealed in prevalence rate that the diseases of respriatory system ranked the highest, 133.9 cases out of 1,000 persons, the diseases of digestive system were next (74.1 cases), the third were allergic endocrine system, metabolic and nutritional diseases (37.6 cases), the fourth were the diseases of the nervous system and sense organe (32.5 cases), the fifth were the disease of skin cellular tissue (33.8 cases), etc. 3) Age-specific morbidity: It showed that 25 to 28 age were 395.0 cases out of 1,000 persons, and under 17 of age were 394.4 cases. 4) The morbid status decreased inversely with the higher level of education. The prevalence rate of the primary school gra염tes were 418.2 cases out of 1,000 persons but that of high school graduates were 329.4 cases. 5) Morbid status per capita during the surveyed: an average man got sick 0.38 time during the surveyed preiod, and the continuing sick days per capita were 4.3 days: The morbid period 11.4 days: the bed rest period 0.3 days. 6) As the utilization of medical care, the majority of the population (63.2%) consulted the pharmacy in case of sickess, only 16.7% of them made a visit to clinic, and 9.6% of them visited herb-medicine. Whereas the utilization of health center was lawest, the strentherning of medical care activities in the health center is urgently required. 7) Medical expenses during the surveyed amounted to 6205.1 Won in clinic per case and 788.9 Won in pharmacy. The expenses per capita during the surveyed reached 623.8 Won.

Silaethene Cl₂Si=CHCH₂?Bu 1, generated as a reaction intermediate by the thermal elimination of LiX from Cl₃SiCHLiCH₂?Bu 2, combines with ene-component containing compounds(propene, 2-methylpropene, DMB) to give 40∼90% yield ene-products. They can be isolated and spectroscopic identified.

Propranolol이 흰쥐 해마박편에서 Gamma-aminobutyric acid 및 Glutamic acid유리에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

Present study was performed to clarify the effect of propranolol on the release of amino acid neurotransmitters employing hippocampal slices. Hippocampal slices (300-400㎛ thick) were prepared by the method of Spencer et al.(1976) and pre-equilibrated in Krebs-bicarbonate medium (KBM, pH 7.4) for 1 hr at 37℃. Pre-equilibrated slices were incubated in fresh KBM and then veratrine (25μM)-containing KBM for 10 min period. Basal and veratrine-induced release of GABA and glutamic acid were determined from recovered medium by HPLC. After 30 min resting period, slices were reincubated in propranolol-containing KBM and propranolol plus veratrine-containing medium consecutively for 10 min period each to investigate the effect of propranolol on basal or veratrine-induced amino acid release from hippocampal slices. The observed results were as follows : 1. The release of GABA induced by the first and second 10min-exposure of 25μM veratrine was 246.9±16.82 nmol and 209.9±20.84 nmol, respectively. When compared with released amounts of GABA during the corresponding spontaneous periods, these were 7.3 and 7.3-fold increase respectively. 2. the release of glutamic acid induced by the first and second 10min-exposure of 25μM veratrine was 426.3±63.16 nmol and 377±61.83 nmol, respectively. When compared with released amounts of glutamic acid during the corresponding spontaneous periods, these were 9.9 and 10.2-fold increase respectively. 3. Propranolol (2-8 mM) inhibited veratrine-stimulated GABA release in dose-dependent manner. 4. Propranolol (2-6 mM) enhanced veratrine-stimulated and spontaneous release of glutamic acid in dose-dependent fashion.

In this study, Performance of muffler is studied at constant velocity of carbureted 4 stroke engine. Pressure fluctuation was measured by pressure transducer at muffler, and performance of a muffler was investigated through transfer function analysis by analyzer. The experimental results show that remarkable attenuation in exhaust noise was accomplished and characteristics of muffler was discussed in detail in connection with associated experimental data.

태산반석산이 면역기능에 미치는 영향

To invesitigate the immunoadjuvant effect of Taesanbanseok-san(TBS), TBS was pretreated to Ballb/c mice for 10 days with intraperitioneally. After 10 days, haptenic antigen (VCR-BSA, vincristine-bovine serum albumin) complexed with Freund's complete adjuvant was immunized. The results are as follows. The antibody production in Balb/c mouse immunized with VCR-BSA was markably increased in the pretreated group of TBS compared with saline treated(control) group. The number of macrophage in Balb/c mouse immunized with VCR-BSA was considerably increased about 2.3 times in the pretreated group of TBS compared with control group. The lysozyme activity of macrophage in Balb/c mouse that was immunized with VCR-BSA was increased gradually in the pretreated groups of TBS compared with control group. In the TBS pretreated group, B cell proliferation was increased with a dose dependent manner. At the concentration of twenty microliter/well of TBS, B cell proliferation activity was most highest. On the other hand, in the T proliferation, TBS pretreated group had less considerable activity than B cell proliferation. These results may suggest that TBS will have immunoadjuvant effects on the cells which concerned with immuno mechanism.

신문지를 이용하여 제조한 Potassium-Cyanoethylcellulose의 수분흡수력 및 시금치의 생육에 미치는 영향

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of potassium-cyanoethylcellulose(K-CEC), which is a natural polymer derivate, and polyacrylamide(PAM), which is a synthetic polymer, on growth of spinach under controlled environment biotron. Effects of KOH, acrylonitrile, and reaction temperature on water absorbing capacity of K-CEC were examined. Water absorbing capacity of K-CEC added with 40㎖ of 30% KOH and 9g of acrylonitrile was the highest at room temperature. PAM and K-CEC treatments showed higher early growth characteristics of spinach, number of leaves, leaf length, and leaf width than control. PAM and K-CEC treatments increased the vegetative yields of spinach, also. It would be need to make super absorbent polymers which possessed with higher water absorbing capacity in the future.

土壤微生物劑處理가 가을무의 收量에 미치는 影響

This study was carried out to investigate the effect of soil microorganisms on yield of radish (Raphanus sativus L.). Six soil microorganisms, MPK+Husk+Palma, Husk+Palma, MPK+Compost, Compost, Bio livestock cattle system (BLCS) cattle dropping, and Tomi, were used. All of soil microorganisms were very effective to increase yields of radish. Especially, MPK+Husk+Palma treated plot was the most effective than any other plots. As a result of analysis of plant chemical components, compost treatment showed higher concentration of Mn than other soil microorganism treatments. In a chemical components of soil, concentrations of P and Mg were increased with Tomi treatment, and Na was increased with BLCS cattle dropping treatment. The other concentrations of plant and soil chemical components were not different, however. In a microbial properties of soil, Tomi, Husk+Palma, and MPK+Husk+Palma treated plots increased in the number of total bacteria and bacilli. Tomi treated plot increased in the number of actinomycetes and Fungi. The other microbial properties of soil were not different. It would be assumed that yield increase of radish might be due to the beneficial microbial properties, therefore, those would increase yields of radish.
