For each construction material used, there is certain theoretical limit in sizes.For tall building construction, the reduction in slab weight is the first step to take in order to break such size limits.In this paper, the feasibility of such objective is proven and given by numerical analysis result.For a typical building slab, both concrete and advanced composite sandwich panels are considered.The concrete slab is treated as a special orthotropic plate to obtain more accurate result.For each panel, the deflection under the dead and live loads is compared, since both tensile and compressive strengths of the composites are far more higher than those of concrete.All types of sandwich panels considered, except one case, have weights less than one tenth of that of reinforced concrete slab, with deflections less than that of the concrete slab.

유비쿼터스 시대의 컴퓨팅은 사용자의 의향과 상황을 인지해 동적으로 목표를 설정하고 자동으로 협력해 목표를 달성하게 된다. 앞으로 곧 다가올 새로운 컴퓨팅 환경에서 주된 역할을 하게 될 개체인 에이전트와 이들이 상호 협력하는 기반구조인 다중 에이전트 시스템에 관하여 활발히 연구가 진행 중이다. 본 연구는 uT 컴퓨팅 환경에서 응용될 수 있는 에이전트 시스템의 적용 사례들을 분석하고 기존 연구의 방향, 목적, 장단점을 파악하여 앞으로의 에이전트 연구에 도움이 될 수 있는 기술적 근거를 조사하고 uT 컴퓨팅 환경에서 다중 에이전트 시스템 설계를 위한 방법론을 모색한다. Computing in ubiquitous era introduces that a goal is dynamically set by recognizing user's intention and situational information and that the goal is achieved better through collaborative wok by different components. Agents are the components that take critical roles in the new computing era, the study of multi-agent systems, that is, working through interaction and collaboration among agents is actively pursued along with the current demand. Our work focuses on the case studies of multi-agent system applications in ubiquitous computing environment. The study of the analysis enables us to extract rational direction of multi-agent system research in the future and the methodology of developing multi-agent system in ubiquitous computing environment.

To study on antioxidant effects in the liver of 40-week-old mouse, the sample were orally pretreated 5mg/kg/day for 5 days with red ginseng saponin components(total saponin, protopanaxadiol saponin, protopanaxatriol saponin, ginsenoside-Rd, ginsenoside-Re, compound-K) for 5 days. The ability of saponin to protect the mouse liver from oxidative damage was examined by determining the activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD), glutathione peroxidase(GPx) and the contents of glutathione, the level of malondialdehyde. The only protopanaxadiol among the ginseng saponin fractions was significantly increased the hepatic SOD activity(p<0.01). The red ginseng saponin induced a slight increase of GPx activity, especially ginsenoside Rd, compound K and protopanaxatriol treatments significantly increased its activity. The content of glutathione was significantly increased by total saponin, protopanaxadiol and ginsenoside Rd(p<0.01), but the oxidized glutathione level was lowered in all the red ginseng saponin. Finally, the level of malondialdehyde was significantly decreased by ginsenoside Rd and protopanaxadiol. In conclusion, protopanaxadiol and ginsenoside Rd among the saponin fraction were especially increased in the activity of hepatic antioxidative enzyme and decreased the lipid peroxidation that was expressed in term of MDA formation. This comprehensive antioxidant effects of red ginseng saponin seems to be by a certain action of saponin other than a direct antioxidant action.

Recently J. Luh, W.E. Coppage and Shoji Kyuno studied the structure of Γ-ring and obtained various generalizations analogous corresponding parts in ring theory. The object of this paper is to study the radical properties of Γ-rings. The main result is the following theorem. If M is a Γ-ring with the operator domain øand R is a radical property then the R-radical of M considered as a Γ-ring with operator domain exists and this R-radical coincides with the R-radical of the ring considered without operator domain.

Synthesis of potassium titanate powders and fibers have been studied according to various synthetic method-melting method, rapid cooling method and flux method. Potassium hexa titanate was synthesiezed over the temperature range 950-1050℃, within 10hrs. Potassium tetra titanate was synthesiezed at 900℃ for 72hrs, by melting method. In rapid cooling method, potassium hexa titanate was grown with the dimension of 0.01mm(diameter) X 1mm(length). The potassium hexa titanate fibers with the maximum size of 0.05mm(diameter) X 4mm(length) was grown in case of flux method. Recooling method and seed method by using potassium hexa titanate as seed produced more and longer size of fibers than the case of slow cooling method.

This experiment was carried out to find out the proper Fungicides on Cucerbits disease (downy mildew, and anthracnose). The results obtained are summarised as follows. 1) Application of Maneb Dithane (M-22), Difolatan spray were effective on control of cucumber downy mildew. 2) Treatment of Zineb Dithane(Z-78), Maneb Dithane (M-22) spray were more effective on control of sweet-melon downy mildew than Difolatan, but Difolatan was most effective on control anthrancnose of fruits. 3. For the control of anthrancnose of water-melon, spraying of Maneb Dithane and Difolatan were more effective than Zineb Dithane (Z-78). 4. In the results, we can recommend Maneb Dithane, Difoiatan for control Cucurbits diseases (downy mildew & anthracnose).

The now model curriculum of the Department of Metallurgical Engineering Education is presented as a proposal to improve education in the College of Industrial Education. In this study the curricula of technical high schools and related Colleges inside and outside country were analized. In addition to above comparative study, various opinions were reflected by collecting interviews and questionnaires from the college professors, technical high school teachers, and the engineers in the fields. Major findings and conclusions are as follow ; 1) The ratio in curriculum structure between theoretical subject and laboratory hours is arranged at about 1.5 for effective metallurgical engineering education. 2) The number of class-hours allocated to the general and fundamental engineering courses is almost same as that of major subjects. 3) Metallurgical engineering education is recommended to have two courses, namely, chemical and physical metallurgy in the new model curriculum.

To investigate the fetal bovine serum(FBS) effect for growth and living cells on mouse foreskin cell that this report experimented to primary cluture with serum contain(group Ⅰ) versus serum free(group Ⅱ) culture conditions in the Hank's balanced salt solution(HBSS). Those foreskin cells that were maintained in culture media under air conditions equilibrated with 5% CO, 95% air and humidifyed to the water tray. The inverted microscopic distribution of culture cells at 48 hours after postincubation is that of Group Ⅰ is showed to clear in backgroung at the focus and increased to attachment of unknown cluster cells at culture well bottom. But, growth and living cells appears to increase at group Ⅱ. Fibroblasts are appdared that some of the spindle-shaped cells derived from dermal lesions to group Ⅰ and Ⅱ at 28 hours after postincubation by the silver stain. The FBS was known to growth inhibitors of fibroblast during cell culture, but these serum contained culture system was not inhibited to growth of fibroblasts to compare with serum free media. The results of growth cells have been differented under two culture conditions; the number of epithelial cells of group Ⅰwas showed to increase at only early stage(24 hours), but that of group Ⅱ was increased to compare with group Ⅰ after 48 hours. By these results, It is that of the serum free culture is effected to primary culture for establish of cell line and purification of special constitution of cell.

해외에 조성된 한국 전통조경의 특성과 디자인 성향을 파악하고자 해외에 설계, 시공되어진 대표적 한국성 정원 3개소를 선정하였다. 즉 프랑스 파리공원의 한국정원과 일본 오오사까의 쓰르미공원, 요꼬하마의 관자정 등이다. 이들 세 공간에 대해 한국고유의 디자인 원리와 image성, 경관구성요소 등의 한국성을 비교, 분석하였다. 그 결과 일본에 조성된 두 곳은 직설적 공간 재현을, 프랑스 파리공원은 직설과 은유적 공간 재현방법을 응용하며 전통을 재현 하고자 하였다. 도입된 시설 및 요소들은 정자, 꽃담, 다리 등의 전통 구조물과 조산(가산), 화계, 그리고 마당개념의 공간연출 등의 요소 및 기법이 공통적으로 응용되어 한국성 image를 표현하였다. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the three korean traditional gardens in France and Japan were representing the tradition by comparing and reviewing them. The concerns for analysing the korean garden made in foreign counties were focused on issue of a representation Representing a Korean garden into three foreign parts depends on the manner of a representation their objects and media. We found the characteristics through analysing the korean gardens that traditional elements such as a traditional pavilion, fence, madang, chosan and hwagye were generally chosen as essential elements for representing the korean tradition.

1995년 3월부터 1996년 2월까지 군산시 주변에 위치한 5개 호수의 수질오염 정도를 측정한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 온도는 계절별로 조사지점간에 큰 차이가 없다. 2. pH는 조사지역별로 약간 차이는 있으나, 수질환경 기준령의 6.5∼8.5의 범위내에서 벗어나지 않았다. 3. DO 값은 탑천에서 가장 낮았고 그 이외의 지역에서는 평균 8.2∼9.3㎎/ℓ이었다. 계절별로 여름철이 겨울철보다 낮은 경향이었다. 4. BOD나 COD,SS는 제1수원지에서 가장 낮은 경향으로 식수원으로서 적합하다고 판단된다. The state water quality pollution was examined in 5 sites(Okgu, Heahyon, Topchon, 1st reservoir, Un-Pa) where located around Kunsan city from march, 1995 to February, 1996. The results are as follows. 1. The mean temperature no difference in each of the investigative sites, as a seasonal variation. 2. There is not against limits 6.5∼8.5 in the environmental standard of water quality, but a little difference in each of the investigate sites. 3. Dissolved oxygen is the lowst in Topchon and the other places have 8.2∼9.3㎎/ℓ. It appears that summer DO is lower than winter in a seasonal variation. 4. 1st reservoir is the lower than any other site in BOD, COD, SS so it is suitable for drinking water soure.
