SOA내에서의 XPM,FWM을 이용한 WDM 시스템 파장변환기 구현

In this paper, a new type of wavelength converter using XPM within a loop-mirror is proposed and demonstrated. The proposed structure decreases hardware components for implementation of XPM wavelength converter and makes it possible to get non-inverted and inverted output signals simultaneously. Also, we generate wideband pumping mode series for FWM wavelength conversion scheme and propose the effective filtering method for selecting converted wavelength from FWM outputs. The results show that the pumping mode range is over 30nm within 5dB power fluctuation, and that a pumping and a prove wave can be removed successfully by using both of Michelson interferometer and polarization controller.

링 레이저를 위한 새로운 광대역 파장 가변 필터에 대한 연구

In this paper, we proposed the new wavelength tunable filter for wide tunability of fiber ring laser. The proposed filter consists of the cascaded connection of Fiber Reflection Mach-Zehnder Interferometer and Sagnac filter or of hybrid filter and Fiber Reflection Mach-Zehnder Interferometer. The simulation shows that the continuous tunable range of 50nm can be obtained and that more stable single mode operation of ring laser can be expected due to narrow FWHM. of filter spectrum.

영주지방에 있어서 봉군의 실내월동 시험

The studies was conducted to establish the indoor overwintering methods for productive honeybee colonies in the wintering chamber which provides satisfactory inside temperature ranging 2∼9。C and ventilation for the wintering honeybee colonies in Korea. Mortality of the indoor wintered honeybee colonies was 6.3∼7.1% during the winter season of 1997-1998 and 5∼10% during the winter season 1998∼1999. The decreased rates of colony weights during the wintering season were 10.6∼10.7% in the strong colonies and 10.2∼11.7% in the weak colonies. The increased rates of colony population overwintered in the chamber were 136.1∼142.3% in the strong colonies and 128∼136.5% in the weak colonies.

鷄龍山 地域의 노린재 種類 및 發生에 關한 硏究

Specimens of Geocorisae were collected from Mt. Gyeryong in Korea, during the period from March to September in 1983. Sixty three species belong to fifty five genera within eleven families were identified, of which three species of Cymus aurescens Distant, Stigmatonotum rufipes Motschulsky,and Lygus honshuensis Linnavuori were reported for the first time in Korea. Ninomimus flavipes Mastsumura and Togo hemiptera Scott appeared abundantly on August were identified as dominant species in the bank around the rice field. In the weedy field, Ninomimus flavipes Matsumura and Nysius plebejus Distant appeared abundantly beteen May and June were identified as dominant species.

Our main interest is the regulation of expression of the genes for general transcription factors involved in the transcription process by RNA polymerase Ⅱ. For this purpose, we have been trying to isolate and characterize the genomic clones encoding various transcription factors of Drosophila melanogaster. In this paper, we report the DNA sequences of the promoter regions of Drosophila TFIIB and TBP genes and suggest some consensus features in those regions We also present the developmental profile of mRNA expression of those two Drosophila genes. The data altogather suggest some common mechanism existing in the regulation of the expression of these two Drosophila genes.

파좀나방의 발육에 관한 연구

Acrolepiopsis sapporensis Matsumura was reared on welsh onions in the laboratory in Taejon for observation on its bionomics; the adults were provided with 10% sugar solution. At controlled temperatures the stone leek minor female adult laid averages of about 103 at15℃, 113 at 20℃ and 134 at 25℃. Adult lived for averages of about 10 days at 15℃, 8~9days at 20℃ and 25℃ and 5 days at 30℃. The egg hatched in about 10~11 days at 15℃. 5∼6 days at 20℃ and 5 days at 25℃. The larval stage lasted 25∼26 days at 15℃, 11 days at 20℃ and 7∼8 days at 25℃. The pupal stage lasted 13 days at 15℃, 9 days at 20℃ and 7∼8 days at 25℃.

하악대구치의 치성감염으로 유발된 안외골막하농양의 치험례

A 61-years old man with diabetes mellitus (DM) was admitted to our hospital, complaining of progressive right periorbital swelling, headache and toothache on the right lower second molar. On the first visit, moderate swelling was noticed from the right periorbital region with exophtalmos and subconjunctival effusion. Intraorally, right lower second molar had a severe periodontal disease and fistular formation on its distal area. From 3 days after hospitalization, the visual acuity of his right eye was gradually worsen and we performed CT scan. CT scan demonstrated an inflammatory change at the right orbit with subperiosteal abscess at the inferior orbital wall, which was extended from the right infiratemporal, parapharyngeal and internal pterygoid space. Patient was treated by mean of intraoral (right upper vestibular and retromolar) and extraoral(infraorbital) incision and drainage, massive anti-therapy and DM control. The patient improved gradually and finally was discharged from the hospital, but his visual loss of right side was not recovered.

충남대학교 캠퍼스내의 곤충상

This study was carried out to investigate the insect fauna in the campus of Chungnam National University. As the result, total of 623 species of 139 families under 13 orders were identified. The number of species was the most abundantly revealed in the order Coleoptera (182 species, 29,2%). The order Lepidoptera (143 species, 18.9%), order Hemiptera (91 species, 14.6%), order Hymenoptera (70 species, 11.2%) and order Homoptera (61 species, 9.8%) were followed in order. Five rare species, Fabriciana nerippe(C. et R. Felder), Dicranocephalus adamsi Pascoe, Prosopocoilus inclinatus inclinatus(Motschulsky), Palimna liturata(Bates) and Sasakia charonda(Hewitson) were collected from the campus.
