      • 苛性소다 處理에 依한 農産副産物의 飼料價値 增進硏究

        A factorial experiment (6x5) involving 6 kinds of crop residues (barley straw, corn stover, rice straw, rye straw, soybean straw, wheat straw), 5 levels of sodium hydroxide (0,3,6,9,12%) was conducted with four Korean native male goats using a practical dairy cattle ration. Crop residues digestion was measured in situ with nylon bags containing test material in the rumen of the fistulated goats. Bags of 9×15㎠ made of 100-mesh nylon cloth were filled with one of ground crop residues to give 3-5g dry matter. These bags were put into the ventral sac of the rumen and taken out at the end of 72 hours. They were washed in cold water, dried at 105℃ for 8 hours and weighed. The straw dry matter remaining was calculated by difference and analyzed for organic matter. The results which were obtained with this experiment were as follows: 1. The nylon bag dry matter digestibility (NBDMD, %) and nylon bag organic matter digestibility (MBOMD, %) of NaOH-treated crop residues were highly significant different (P<0.01) in different levels of NaOH and kinds of crop residues. 2. The relationship between cell-wall constituents (Y, %) of crop residues and level of NaOH (X, %) was: Y=-1.63X+77.06 (r=0.99^**) 3. The optimum level of NaOH for improving NBDMD (%) from crop residues, on the basis of Shin et al (1981), was 0% NaOH for soybean straw, 3% NaOH for barley straw and wheat straw, 6% NaOH for corn stover and rice straw, and 12% NaOH for rye straw.

      • 신원방우황청심원액의 심혈관계에 관한 약효

        Abstract-In order to investigate the pharmacological properties of New Wonbang Woohwangchungsimwon Liquid (NSCL), effects of Wonbang Woohwangchungsimwon Liquid (SCL) and NSCL were compared. In isolated rat aorta, NSCL and SCL showed the relaxation of blood vessels in maximum contractile response to phenylephrine (10^-6 M) regardless to intact endothelium or denuded rings of the rat aorta. Furthermore, the presences of the inhibitor of NO synthase and guanylate cyclase did not affect the relaxing effect of NSCL and SCL. NSCL and SCL inhibited the vascular contractions induced by acetylcholine, prostaglandin endoperoxide or peroxide in a dose-dependent manner. In conscious spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs), NSCL and SCL significantly decreased heart rate. NSCL and SCL, at high doses, had a negative inotropic effect that was a decrease of left ventricular developed pressure and (-dp/dt)/(+dp/dt) in the isolated perfused rat hearts, and also decreased the contractile force and heart rate in the isolated rat right atria. In excised guinea-pig papillary muscle, NSCL and SCL had no effects on parameters of action potential such as resting membrane potential, action potential amplitude, APD_90 and V_max at low doses, whereas inhibited the cardiac contractility at high doses. These results suggested that NSCL and SCL have weak cardiovascular effects with relaxation of blood vessels and decrease of heart rate, and that this effect is no significant differences between cardiovascular effects of two preparations.

      • 자발적 초점성분절성사구체경화증 Mouse 모델에서 TGF-β및 MCP-1 유전자발현에 미치는 Renin Angiotensin System 의 영향에 관한 연구

        The role of angiotensin Ⅱ in the pathogenesis of the progressive renal injury process has been studied in many human renal diseases and animal renal injury models. The inhibition of angiotensin Ⅱ also has been reported to be effective to attenuate renal injury process in many human renal diseases and animal models. The activation of TGF-β and MCP-1 gene is thought to be related with renal injury process. A mutant strain FGS/Nga/Kist mouse is reported to develop focal and segmental glomerulosis, spontaneously. In order to evaluate renal pathology, MCP-1 and TGF-β gene expressions and the effect of renin-angiotensin system inhibition, 8 FGS/Nga/Kist mice were treated by angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor, enalapril (150 mg/L in drinking water) for 12 weeks. Another non-treated, agematched 8 FGS/Nga/Kist mice and 6 nomal CBA/Nga mice were also included in this study. The urinary protein excrtion, magnitude of glomerular sclerosis, and renal express of MCP-1 and TGF-β were evaluated by uristick, light microscopic examination and competitive RT-PCR, respectively. CBA/Nga mice did not show significant proteinuria. However, urinary protein scores of enalapril-treated FgS/Nga/Kist mice was significantly lower than that of non-treated FGS/Nga/Kist mice (2.0±0.3, 4.1±0.5, respectively, p <0.05). Focal and segmental glomerular scierosis index of enalapril treated FGS/Nga/Kist mice was significantly lower than that of non-treated FGS/Nga/Kist mice (120±13, 189±15, respectively, p < 0.05). The level of renal TGF-β gene expression of enalapril treated FGS/Nga/Kist was significantly higher than that of CBA/Nga mice (4.7±1.3, 1.0±0.3, respentively, p< 0.05). But, enalapril treated FGs/Nga/Kist mice showed significantly lower level of TGF-β expression than that of non-treated FGS/Nga/Kist mice(p<0.05). MCP-1 gene expression of untreated FGS/Nga/Kist mice was significantly lower than that of CBA/Nga mice. However, enalapril treated FGS/Nga/Kist mice showed markedly increased level of MCP-1 gene expression compared to the untreated FGS/Nga/Kist mice(9.8±1.8, 3.6±1.2, respectively, p<0.05). With the above result, we speculate that angiotensin converting enzyme ingibition attenuates the renal injury process in this model and the regulation pathway of MCP-1 by renin-angiotensin system may be different from other animal renal injury models.

        정신분열병 환자에서 리스페리돈의 투여에 따른 혈청 코티졸과 임상증상의 변화

        연구목적: 세로토닌 5HT₂수용체의 자극이 코티졸 분비를 증가시킨다는 점에서, 강력한 5HT₂길항제인 risper-idone은 정신분열병에서 보이는 시상하부-뇌하수체-부신축의 과활성화에 대하여 영향을 미칠 것이라고 생각되었다. 저자들은 세로토닌 5HT₂길항제인 risperidone에 의한 코티졸의 양적변화를 통하여 신경 생리학적인 변화를 추적하고 나아가 정신분열병의 병태생리에서 세로토닌과 코티졸의 병리학적 역할에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다. 방법: 본 연구는 카톨릭대학교 성모병원 신경정신과에 입원했던 DSM-Ⅳ 진단기준에 의한 정신분열병 환자 17명(남자 10명, 여자 7명)을 대상으로 정하였다. 채혈(4ml/sample)은 투약 전, 첫째, 둘째, 셋째, 십사일째, 이십팔일째, 사십이일째 병일에 각각 오전 8시와 10시에 두 번씩 하였으며, 오전 8시에 1차 채혈을 시행한 후 투약하고 그 2시간 후인 10시에 2차 채혈을 시행하였다. 혈청 코티졸치의 측정은 표준 이중항체 방사면역분석법으로 시행하였다. 결과: 1) 투약 전 코티졸치와 risperidone을 투여한 후의 코티졸치의 비교에서 혈청 코티졸치는 risper-idone의 투여에 의해 유의하게 감소하였다.(p<0.05). 2) Risperidone의 투약 전후의 평균 PANNS 점수는 양성증상점수(21.7±3.8, vs 11.4±3.0), 음성 증상점수(20.5±5.2, vs 14.6±2.8), 일반증상점수(44.3±5.4, vs 30.9±6.0)로 나와 유의한 감소가 있었다(p<0.05). 3) 남자와 여자의 투약 전 혈청 코티졸치는 차이가 없었으며 risperidone을 투여한 후 혈청 코티졸치의 감소정도도 성별에 따른 차이가 없었다. 4) 음성아형군과 양성아형군 간의 투약 전 혈청 코티졸치는 차이가 없었으며 risperidone을 투여한후 혈청 코티졸치의 감소도 아형에 따른 차이가 없었다. 결론: 이상에서 세로토닌 5HT₂길항제인 risperidone은 코티졸을 감소시키며 코티졸의 감소는 그 자체가 정신분열병의 치료에 있어서 중요한 요소가 될 수 있을 것으로 생각되었다. 또한 이점이 기존의 전형항 정신병약과는 구별되는 세로토닉 5HT₂수용체 차단에 의한 이득효과를 설명할 수 있을 것으로 보았다. Objectives: This study was designed to identify the role of serotonin and cortisol in the pathophysiology of schizophrenia by measuring quantitative change of serum cortisol levels after risperidone(5HT₂antagonist) administration. Methods: Subjects included 10 male and 7 female patients who met DSM-Ⅳ criteria for schizophrenia(n=17). Blood samples(4ml/sample) were taken at the baseline, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 14th, 28th and 42nd days, twice, at 8:00 AM and t 10:00 AM in the morning after an overnight fast. The daily medication was administered after the first blood sampling at 8:00 AM. After basline sampling, the same dose of risperidone was administered to each patient until the end of the 3rd day. The dose of riperidone was then decided by clinical evaluation. Serum cortisol concentrations were measured by standard double-antibody radioimmunoassay. Results: 1) Administration of risperidone significantly decreased serum cortisol levels(p<0.05). 2) There were significant reductions in positive symtom scores(21.7±3.8, vs 14.3±4.() and negative syaprom scones. 20.5 5.2, vs 15.2±3.2), general symptom scores(44.3±5.4, vs 32. 9±4.2) of PANSS after risperidone administration(p<0.05) 3) There were no significant differences in baseline serum cortisol levels and the reductions of serum cortisol levels after administration of risperidone between males and females. 4) There were no significant differences n baseline serum cortisol levels and the reductions of serum cortisol levels after administration of risperidone between positive symptom subgroup and negative symptom subgroup. Conclusions: These results suggest risperidone decreases serum cortisol levels in schizophrenic patients and the reduction of cortisol by risperidone administration might be important factor in the treatment of schzophrenics, in contrast with typical antipsychotics.       • 南韓에서의 豪雨의 最大 DAD에 關한 硏究 : 1979~1988

        In this study, the storms are analyzed which the daily amount of precipitation in South Korea from 1979 to 1988 is recorded 80㎜ above. The results are as follow : 1. The number of the storms registered during the decade is 134 in all, therefore the average number of storms is 13.4 per year. 2. Storms are classified into three - Cyclone, Polar front, and Typhoon - on the basis of the causes of them. Each storm generally occurs as often as the others. 3. The Maximum Depth Area-Duration(DAD) Curves shows us that the storm happens all over the country whenever it is influenced by Polar front or Typhoon, and that torrential rains generally take place within 36 hours. 4. It may be considered that although the maximum DAD values obtained from the observation data in this study during the decade(1979-1988) are not sufficient for utility, they will be very useful as the fundamental data for various hydrological projects if the work like this goes on afterwards.

        전국 응급의학과 수련병원의 응급실 병력지에 대한 분석

        Background: This study was designed to analyze the current emergency department(ED) medical records of teaching hospitals in Korea. Methods: The five-item questionnaires were mailed to the EDs of 40 hospitals. Among them, 27 questionnaires and 35 ED medical records were returned for reply rates of 67.5% and 87.5%, respectively. Results: 1) The actual number of data elements in the ED medical records used by each hospital varies widely. It ranges from 1 to 15 data elements with an average of 7.5 data elements. 2) Thirteen data elements, signature of nurse, checklist style in review of systems, checklist style in physical examination, neurologic examination, figure of face, Glasgow coma scale, trauma scale, treatment plan, mode of transfer, condition on transfer, documents sent with patient, condition on discharge or discharge instruction, use of pediatric chart and vaccination history are used by less than 50% of the medical records examined. 3) There was no difference in the total number of data elements or in redesign and computerization of ED medical record based on the location of the hospital, the type of hospital administration, or the number of years since the start of EM residency program. 4) There was a statistically increased number of data elements in redesigned medical records. 5) In the survey, 89% of the residents replied that medical records needed to be redesigned. With respect to uniformity, 58% of the residents disagreed. A well-designed checklist chart rather than a descriptive chart was preferred by 89% of the residents. Conclusion: The currently used ED medical records have much room for improvement. The age of the ED had little impact on the quality of ED medical records. More attention and effort in this field are needed. In addition, The Korean Society of Emergency Medicine should provide guidelines for ED medical records.

      • 冷血動物(개구리)에서 日本腦炎 바이러스의 抗體보유에 관한 硏究

        일본뇌염 바이러스는 극동지방에서 여름철에 Culex tritaeniorhynchus 홍모기를 매개로 사람과 가축에 감염되여 질병을 유발하고 치명적인 결과를 초래하는 무서운 바이러스 질환의 원인체이다. 그동안 끊임없는 연구결과로 1970년 후반부터 일본뇌염 환자발생이 현저하게 감소하였다. 그러나 자연계에서 일본뇌염 바이러스의 생태학적 규명은 아직도 연구되어야 할 과제들이 산적되어 있다. 따라서 이 바이러스의 보유동물에 대한 자연계의 생활환경에 관한 연구가 필요하여 개구리의 항체보유여부를 규명 하였다. 6개도의 야외에서 채집한 개구리 681마리 혈청에 대하여 HI 방법에 의한 항체 분석을 시행하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 개구리 총 681마리의 일본뇌염바이러스에 대한 HI항체 보유율은 9.83%였다(p<0.01). 2. 일본뇌염바이러스에 대한 성별 HI 항체 보유율은 수컷이 2.63%(531마리 중 14마리). 암컷이 35.33%(150마리 중 53마리)로 암컷이 약 13배 높은 항체보유율을 나타냈다(p<0.01). 3. 종류별 HI항체 보유율은 북방산 개구리가 100%(1마리 중 1마리), 산개구리 66.66%(3마리 중 2마리), 금개구리 50.00%(36마리 중 18마리), 옴개구리 33.33%(6마리 중 2마리), 참개구리 6.92%(635마리 중 44마리)로 나타났다(p<0.01). 4. 월별 HI 항체 보유율은 11월이 66.66%(9마리 중 6마리)로 가장 높았으며 10월이 37.50%(32마리 중 6마리), 9월이 26.05%*142마리 중 37마리), 8월이 22.85%(35마리 중 8마리), 9월이 26.05%(142마리 중 37마리), 8월이 22.85%(35마리 중 8마리), 6월이 1.65%(241마리 중 4마리), 5월은 0%(222마리 중 0마리)이였다(p<0.01). 5. 지역별 일본뇌염바이러스에 대한 HI 항체보유율은 경기 16.56%(157마리 중 26마리, 충남 15.69%(172마리 중 27마리), 전북 7.14%(168마리 중 12마리)였고, 충북(71마리)과 강원(78마리)은 0%였다(p<0.010. Japanese Encephalitis virus(JEV) infects human and domestic animals via mosquitoes, Culex tritaeniorhynchus, and cause diseases that results in serious consequencies in Far East area during summer season. Thanks to the continuous research on this virus, the frequency of occurrence has been greatly diminished since the second half of 1970. But, there are still much work needs to be done on the virus, especially on their ecology in nature. We studied the antibodies in frogs based on the perspective that the research must be done on the carrier animals of the virus. We tested sera by HI method from 681 frogs captured randomyl in the six provinces. The results are summarized as following 1. Antibody positive rate to HI was 9.83%(67 out of 681). 2. Among these positive frogs, positive rate for male was 2.63%(14 out of 531), and positive rate for famale was 35.33%(53 out of 150). the positive rate for female is higher than that of male by about 13 times. 3. Different positive rates were shown among different species; 100%(1 out of 1) in Rana temporaria ornativentris, 66.66%(2 out of 3) in Rana temporaria orativentris, 50%(18 out of 36) in Rana plancyi chosenica, 33.33%(2 out of 6) in Rana rugosa and 6.92%(44 out of 635) in Rana niglomaculata. 4. When the monthly positive rates were compared, November was the highest as 66.66%(6 out of 9), 37.5%(6 out of 32) in October 26.05%(37 out of 142) in September, 22.85%(8 out of 35) in August, 65%(4 out of 241) in June and 0% in May 5. Areal distribution of positive rate to HI was 16.56%(26 out 157) in Kyung Kee, 15.69%(27 out of 172) in Chung Nam, 7.14%(12 out of 168) in Chun Buk, and 0% both in Chung Buk and Gang Won.
