This paper presents semi-active ER damper for a passenger car. Damping performance of ER damper is evaluated with respect to the temperature variation and operating cycle. An appropriate size of the ER damper for a passenger car is proposed to investigate the effects of those Bingham characteristics on the damping performance. The ER damper is designed and manufactured on the basis of Bingham model of the ER fluids. The field-dependent damping forces are evaluated according to the temperature variation. The damping forces with mechanically operated ER fluids are also predicted from Bingham model. Finally, the damping force is tested up to half million cycles to validate the estimated damping force and also to demonstrate superior durability characteristics of employed ER fluids as well as mechanical emchanism of the ER damper.

The objective of this study is to propose the effective stress ranges on steel railroad bridges using the load spectra for actual trains, and to develope a method for prediction of remaining life. The traffic on railroad from Suwon to Cheonan is modeled using 19 cases of loading and probability density curves of stress ranges are derived. Although the three-parameter Erlang curve provide a slightly closer fit, the two-parameter Rayleigh curve is selected for use in this study because it is simpler and provides an adequate fit. Finally. the effective stress ranges are computed using the Rayleigh distribution. These results can be used in predicting the remaining life of steel railroad bridge with S-N curves.

In this paper, the transmitted noise reduction of piezoelectric smart panels is experimentally studied. The proposed piezoelectric smart panels are comprised of plate structure on which piezoelectric sensor/actuators are bonded and sound absorbing material and/or gap are provided. It is a combination of passive and active approaches utilizing a passive effect at high frequencies and active effect at low frequencies. To prove the concept of piezoelectric smart panels, and acoustic measurement experiment is performed. An acoustic tunnel is designed and its acoustic characteristics are tested. Below 800㎐, the tunnel exhibits a plane wave guide characteristics. When an absorbing material is bonded on a single plate, a remarkable transmitted noise reduction in mid frequency range is observed except the first resonance frequency. By enabling the active control of smart single panel, much noise reduction is achieved at the resonance frequencies. The smart double panel has more potential to reduction the transmitted noise in wide range frequency. Piezoelectric smart panels incorporating passive absorbing material and active piezoelectric devices is a promising technology for noise reduction in a wide range frequency.

한국농업에 있어서 원예산업의 중요성과 원예자원식물의 종류에 대하여 토의했다. 아울러 공장적 대량생산에 필요한 작물로서 갖추어야할 조건을 제시하였다. 다양한 식물공장에 관하여 소개하였으며 앞으로의 우리 나라 식물공장 연구와 실용화 방안에 대하여 의견을 제시하였다. 식물공장연구는 어느 한 기관에서 주관하기 보다는 모든 관련기관의 상호 공동 연구가 바람직하다고 사료된다.
Sweet Basil의 精油함량과 組成에 미치는 養液내 이온 농도의 영향

이 연구는 sweet basil)Ocimum basilicum)을 공시재료로 하여 養液栽培시 養液의 농도가 精油의 함량과 생산량, 그리고 그 조성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 수행되었다. Sweet basil을 박막수경(NFT)시스템에서 European Vegetable R & D Center가 개발한 養液방식을 사용해 0.5배, 1배, 2배, 3배로 조제하여 재배했다. Sweet basil의 생육은 0.5배 養液일 때 가장 좋았다. 精油는 동시증류추출방법으로 추출했는데 養液의 농도가 증가할수록 精油의 함량도 증가했다. 그러나 精油의 총생산량은 0.5배인 養液에서 가장 많았다. 精油의 성분은 GC와 GC/MS를 통해 분석했다. Sweet basil의 精油에서 주성분은 linalool, methylchavicol, eugenol과 caryophyllene이었고 가장 많은 성분은 linalool이었다. Linalool과 eugenol은 2배 養液의 농도가 증가할수록 sesquiterpene의 함량도 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 養液의 농도가 달라질 때 향과 약리효과의 근원인 精油의 함량과 조성에 차이가 있는 것을 볼 때 精油의 사용전 정확한 분석과 검증이 있어야 한다는 결과를 얻었다. This experiment was carried out to find an effect of the nutri-solution concentration on the content and composition of essential oil in sweet basil(Ocimum basilicum) hydroponics. Sweet basil were grown in a hydroponic system(NFT). The used nutri solution was developed by the European Vegetable R & D Center in Belgium. They were treated in four different ionic strengths in halves, one, two and three times. The best growth of sweet basil was obtained at the half strength of the nutrient solution. The essential oil was extracted by simutaneous distilation extraction method. The content of essential oil increased, as the stregth of nutrient solution increased. But sweet basil had the most yield of essential oil at the half stregth of the nutrient solution. Composition of volatile flavor components of sweet basil was investigated by GC and GC/MS. The major component of sweet basil oil were linalool, methyl-chavicol, eugenol and caryophyllene. The most component in sweet basil oil was linalool. The highest content of linalool and eugenol were found in two strength of the nutrient solution. The content of sesquiterpene increased with an increase of the concentration of nutrient solution.
凍結鷄肉의 品質變化에 關한 硏究 : Ⅳ. 凍結 冷藏時의 理化學的 變化

The quality variation of the frozen chicken meat pretreated with the various methods were studied during the cold storage. For the purpose of this study, the frozen chickens as samples were divided into five groups, T1 group (untreated), T2 group (treated with 1% ascorbic acid), T3 group (7.5% potassium sorbate), T4 group (5% NaCl) and T5 group (mixed with 7.5% potassium sorbate and 1% ascorbic acid). All samples were kept the cold storage for 90 days, the item of investigation on the thawed samples were pH, water holding capacity, changes of drip, P.O.V. and T.B.A. The values of pH in T3, T4 and T5 groups were continuously increased according to the storage days, but those in T1 and T2 groups were decreased after 60 days (p〈0.01). The water-folding capacity was the lowest (66.22%) in T, group and the higest (70.72%) in T5 group, and the relatively stable in T4 and T5 groups. The free drip level was the highest as 5.15% in T1 group and the lowest as 1.6% in T5 group, and the expressible drip was relatively little in T4 and T5 groups compared with other groups (p〉0.05). The value of P.O.V in T1 group was the highest as 10.2 meq/Kg and the lowest as 4.7 meq/Kg in T5 group (p〈0.01). The value of T.B.A. was also the highest as 0.507 in T1 group and the lowest as 0.232 in T5 group (p〉0.05). The store ability of the frozen chicken meat was good in T5 group.
종사원의 직무만족이 서비스품질에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 중저가호텔을 중심으로 Focus on the Mid / Economy Class Hotels

Many researchers have studies on employees satisfaction and interactive relationships between employees satisfaction and service quality. The subject of study, however, has been limited on the Luxury Hotels. Therefore, in this paper, I tried to figure it out focusing on the Mid and Economy Hotels, which are 80% of the entire hotel market. The objective of this study is, at first, to figure out critical factors influencing on employees satisfaction of the Mid /Economy hotels: secondly, to find out important element consist of service quality: thirdly, to analyse of the relationship between employees satisfaction and service quality under different types of hotel management: lastly, to figure out influences of employees satisfaction under various management style on service quality. I developed three hypotheses for this study. As a conclusion, employees satisfaction of the franchising hotels is higher than one of the independent hotels. The regression analysis showing higher employees satisfaction results in higher service quality allows us take the result that service quality of franchising hotels will be better than the independent hotels. It may means that management performances of franchising hotels will be better than one of independent hotels.

The chemical composition of essential oils obtained from aerial parts in spearmint, apple mint and chocolate mint, was investigated by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry analyses. (-)-Carvone (33.0%) was quantitatively major compound in spearmint, followed by R-(+)-limonene (11.7%) and β-phellandrene (9.7%); (-)-carvone (37.4%) and germacrene D (11.9%) in apple mint; and (-)-menthol (34.3%), p-menthone (18.4%) and menthofuran (9.8%) in chocolate mint. Hierarchical cluster analysis and principle components analysis showed the clear difference in chemical composition of the three mint oils.
