        Different measurements were carried out to estimate the modulus of deformation in two rocks: granite and gneiss, which are dominant rock types in Korea. In our study, three most commonly used methods were utilized: Goodman jack test, PS well logging and laboratory ultrasonic test. Goodman jack test, which measures in situ static modulus, provided generally the lowest estimation of the moduli among the tests we conducted. Although laboratory ultrasonic test results were lower than those from PS well logging, the moduli increased gradually when stress rose. It suggests that simulation of in situ stress condition is significantly important when the modulus of rock is determined in the laboratory.

        한국농업에 있어서 원예산업의 중요성과 원예자원식물의 종류에 대하여 토의했다. 아울러 공장적 대량생산에 필요한 작물로서 갖추어야할 조건을 제시하였다. 다양한 식물공장에 관하여 소개하였으며 앞으로의 우리 나라 식물공장 연구와 실용화 방안에 대하여 의견을 제시하였다. 식물공장연구는 어느 한 기관에서 주관하기 보다는 모든 관련기관의 상호 공동 연구가 바람직하다고 사료된다.

      • 하중스펙트럼을 이용한 강철도교의 피로해석에 관한 연구

        The objective of this study is to propose the effective stress ranges on steel railroad bridges using the load spectra for actual trains, and to develope a method for prediction of remaining life. The traffic on railroad from Suwon to Cheonan is modeled using 19 cases of loading and probability density curves of stress ranges are derived. Although the three-parameter Erlang curve provide a slightly closer fit, the two-parameter Rayleigh curve is selected for use in this study because it is simpler and provides an adequate fit. Finally. the effective stress ranges are computed using the Rayleigh distribution. These results can be used in predicting the remaining life of steel railroad bridge with S-N curves.

        Frequency multipliers find applications in the Fourier and Walsh spectrum measurments of periodic signals. Earlier digital frequency multipliers use two counters;l) An up counter which determines the period of the input signals by the number of clock pulses accumlated in a period of signal. 2) A down counter preset to the contents of up counter when zero. In this process the considerable amount of errors is introduced in output frequency because the fractional counter contents are ignored in the frequency multiplication phase. This paper uses two clock signals CLK_1, CLK_2 which drive I count-er and F counter respectively at proper time instant to reduce error. The considerable amount of errors are reduced by using method.

        18세기 초혼과 재혼의 사회사 : 단성호적을 중심으로

        The marriage data such as marriage ages of both sexes and remarriage ratios in the 18th century Tansong area, examined through its hojok documents ranging 1678 through 1789 are as follows; The average marriage age of women in Tansong area is 17.5, and the optimal marriage age range is between 15 and 20. The upper class women allegedly with better economic means had more chance to marry at the time of this optimal range than the mid or low class women, whose marriage ages tend to spread outside this optimal range. The trend to many prior or after the optimal marriage age was the most conspicuous among the low class women. The common belief that wives were much older that husbands in the Choson period is not valid for Tansong people. On the contrary, the average marriage age of husbands is 0.4 year older than wives. Thus, the average marriage age of Tansong men is around 18. The average percentage of remarriage among widowers is about 50 percent, 30.8 percent for the upper class, 57.6 percent for the mid class, and 69.5 percent for the low class. The remarriage percentage is low for the upper class, but high for the mid and low class in the first half of the 18th century. But in the later half, the remarriage percentage among classes becomes equal, as that of the upper class climes, while those of the mid and low class decline. Regarding ages of wives in remarriage, a majority of the upper class widowers married wives aged below 30, while a majority of the mid or low class widowers married wives aged over 30. This trend suggests a large number of widows were remarriage partners for the mid and low class widowers.

        Sweet Basil의 精油함량과 組成에 미치는 養液내 이온 농도의 영향

        이 연구는 sweet basil)Ocimum basilicum)을 공시재료로 하여 養液栽培시 養液의 농도가 精油의 함량과 생산량, 그리고 그 조성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 수행되었다. Sweet basil을 박막수경(NFT)시스템에서 European Vegetable R & D Center가 개발한 養液방식을 사용해 0.5배, 1배, 2배, 3배로 조제하여 재배했다. Sweet basil의 생육은 0.5배 養液일 때 가장 좋았다. 精油는 동시증류추출방법으로 추출했는데 養液의 농도가 증가할수록 精油의 함량도 증가했다. 그러나 精油의 총생산량은 0.5배인 養液에서 가장 많았다. 精油의 성분은 GC와 GC/MS를 통해 분석했다. Sweet basil의 精油에서 주성분은 linalool, methylchavicol, eugenol과 caryophyllene이었고 가장 많은 성분은 linalool이었다. Linalool과 eugenol은 2배 養液의 농도가 증가할수록 sesquiterpene의 함량도 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 養液의 농도가 달라질 때 향과 약리효과의 근원인 精油의 함량과 조성에 차이가 있는 것을 볼 때 精油의 사용전 정확한 분석과 검증이 있어야 한다는 결과를 얻었다. This experiment was carried out to find an effect of the nutri-solution concentration on the content and composition of essential oil in sweet basil(Ocimum basilicum) hydroponics. Sweet basil were grown in a hydroponic system(NFT). The used nutri solution was developed by the European Vegetable R & D Center in Belgium. They were treated in four different ionic strengths in halves, one, two and three times. The best growth of sweet basil was obtained at the half strength of the nutrient solution. The essential oil was extracted by simutaneous distilation extraction method. The content of essential oil increased, as the stregth of nutrient solution increased. But sweet basil had the most yield of essential oil at the half stregth of the nutrient solution. Composition of volatile flavor components of sweet basil was investigated by GC and GC/MS. The major component of sweet basil oil were linalool, methyl-chavicol, eugenol and caryophyllene. The most component in sweet basil oil was linalool. The highest content of linalool and eugenol were found in two strength of the nutrient solution. The content of sesquiterpene increased with an increase of the concentration of nutrient solution.

      • 경골 과부 골절에 대한 관절경하 탐색자를 이용한 정복방법

        Purposes : To evaluate the result and technique of arthroscopic reduction with probe for Intraarticular fracture of the tibial condyles. Materials and Methods : From October 1998 through January 2000, 15 patients were treated for Intraarticular tibial condylar fracture. Average follow up were 22 months, with a range of 13 to 46 months According to Schatzker classification,3 cases were classified as pure cleavage(type Ⅰ),8 cases of cleavage with depression(type Ⅱ) and 4 cases of pure central depression(type Ⅲ) For accurate reduction, we used probe to elevate the depressed fracture fragment. Results : The results were obtained from 15 patients who had been Intraarticular tibial condylar fracture and Judged by Porter's criteria Eleven cases revealed more than good results. Conclusion : Intraarticular reduction method for tibial condyle fractures had several advantage such as providing accurate reduction, preventing cartilage perforation and easy to perform.

      • 凍結鷄肉의 品質變化에 關한 硏究 : Ⅳ. 凍結 冷藏時의 理化學的 變化

        The quality variation of the frozen chicken meat pretreated with the various methods were studied during the cold storage. For the purpose of this study, the frozen chickens as samples were divided into five groups, T1 group (untreated), T2 group (treated with 1% ascorbic acid), T3 group (7.5% potassium sorbate), T4 group (5% NaCl) and T5 group (mixed with 7.5% potassium sorbate and 1% ascorbic acid). All samples were kept the cold storage for 90 days, the item of investigation on the thawed samples were pH, water holding capacity, changes of drip, P.O.V. and T.B.A. The values of pH in T3, T4 and T5 groups were continuously increased according to the storage days, but those in T1 and T2 groups were decreased after 60 days (p〈0.01). The water-folding capacity was the lowest (66.22%) in T, group and the higest (70.72%) in T5 group, and the relatively stable in T4 and T5 groups. The free drip level was the highest as 5.15% in T1 group and the lowest as 1.6% in T5 group, and the expressible drip was relatively little in T4 and T5 groups compared with other groups (p〉0.05). The value of P.O.V in T1 group was the highest as 10.2 meq/Kg and the lowest as 4.7 meq/Kg in T5 group (p〈0.01). The value of T.B.A. was also the highest as 0.507 in T1 group and the lowest as 0.232 in T5 group (p〉0.05). The store ability of the frozen chicken meat was good in T5 group.
