Indistinguishable and efficient single photons from a quantum dot in a planar nanobeam waveguide

<P>We demonstrate a high-purity source of indistinguishable single photons using a quantum dot embedded in a nanophotonic waveguide. The source features a near-unity internal coupling efficiency and the collected photons are efficiently coupled off chip by implementing a taper that adiabatically couples the photons to an optical fiber. By quasiresonant excitation of the quantum dot, we measure a single-photon purity larger than 99.4% and a photon indistinguishability of up to 94 +/- 1% by using p-shell excitation combinedwith spectral filtering to reduce photon jitter. A temperature-dependent study allows pinpointing the residual decoherence processes, notably the effect of phonon broadening. Strict resonant excitation is implemented as well as another means of suppressing photon jitter, and the additional complexity of suppressing the excitation laser source is addressed. The paper opens a clear pathway towards the long-standing goal of a fully deterministic source of indistinguishable photons, which is integrated on a planar photonic chip.</P>
重症 再生不良性貧血에 있어서 骨髓移植 및 抗 T-임파球글로불린療法의 臨床的 效果

Nine patients with severe aplastic anemia were treated with bone marrow transplantation with and without anti-human thymocyte globulin (ATG, ATGAMR) between April 1981 and August 1984. Two patients who received Isogeneic or Syngeneic bone marrow transplantation had hematologic recovery within 4 weeks after marrow transplantation. Another two patients received Allogeneic bone marrow transplantation and only one had evidence of engraftment. Another three patients were treated with horse anti-human thymocyte globulin. Two out of three had complete and minimal response by defined criteria respectively. The remaining one patient did not respond. Two of nine patients received an infusion of HLA-haploidentical marrow ceils after ATG administration and both had partial responses-improvement in all three cell lines, absence of infections and no transfusion requirement. Six patients (77. 8%) are surviving between 6 and 46 months. and two have died. Deaths were due to systemic infection and/or peptic shock. Data from this stuffy suggest that results of marrow transplantation are beat for those patients with HLA-compatible identical twin donors. However, for severe aplastic anemia with HLA-haploidentical donors, marrow infusion with ATG therapy were also potentially important therapeutic regimens.
Fragility analysis of R/C frame buildings based on different types of hysteretic model

Estimation of damage probability of buildings under a future earthquake is an essential issue to ensure the seismic reliability. Fragility curves are useful tools for showing the probability of structural damage due to earthquakes as a function of ground motion indices. The purpose of this study is to compare the damage probability of R/C buildings with low and high level of strength and ductility through fragility analysis. Two different types of sample buildings have been considered which represent the building types mentioned above. The first one was designed according to TEC-2007 and the latter was designed according to TEC-1975. The pushover curves of sample buildings were obtained via pushover analyses. Using 60 ground motion records, nonlinear time-history analyses of equivalent single degree of freedom systems were performed using bilinear hysteretic model and peak-oriented hysteretic model with stiffness – strength deterioration for each scaled elastic spectral displacement. The damage measure is maximum inter-story drift ratio and each performance level considered in this study has an assumed limit value of damage measure. Discrete damage probabilities were calculated using statistical methods for each considered performance level and elastic spectral displacement. Consequently, continuous fragility curves have been constructed based on the lognormal distribution assumption. Furthermore, the effect of hysteresis model parameters on the damage probability is investigated.
Psychometric Properties of the Persian Version of the Gaming Motivation Scale

Objective Gaming motivations are a central aspect of playing video games, and their importance to understanding both healthy and problematic gaming behavior has been increasingly elucidated. In this study, we aimed to translate the 18-item Gaming Motivation Scale (GAMS-18) to Persian and validate it in a population of Persian speaking gamers, specifically for the assessment of online gaming.Methods After translation from English to Persian, content validity of the questionnaire was assessed by a panel of experts and test–retest reliability was calculated in a sample of 70 students. Data from an online survey of 791 Iranian online gamers were used for the assessment of construct validity using confirmatory factor analysis.Results The item content validity index and the scale content validity index for clarity and relevance ranged from 0.80 to 1.00. Internal consistency reliability of the GAMS-18 was 0.90 and the test–retest reliability was 0.89. The test–retest reliability of the GAMS-18 was 0.89, and the internal consistency was 0.90. The GAMS factors had acceptable correlation with other motivational scale such as Player Experience of Need Satisfaction. Incorporating the proposed additional error paths improved the model fit to an acceptable level.Conclusion The Persian version of the GAMS can assess digital gaming behavior based on the six self-determination theory motivation types, and measures different aspects of motivation that other instruments. It is also demonstrated to have good reliability and validity and could be used in research on the motivations of online gamers in Persian-speaking populations.
