Improved Performance of Organic Light-Emitting Diodes Using a Zn Complex

We have synthesized new electroluminescence materials, including [2-(2-hydroxyphenyl) benzoxazole] (Zn(HPB)2) and [(1,10-phenanthroline)(8-hydroxyquinoline)] Zn(phen)q. The photoluminescence (PL) spectra of Zn(HPB)2 and Zn(phen)q were observed to be blue and yellowish green, respectively. The ionization potential (IP) and the electron affinity (EA) of each Zn complex were measured using cyclic voltammetry (CV). Zn(HPB)2 was used as an emitting material while Zn(phen)q and Alq3 were used as electron transport materials. We investigated the electron transport properties of Zn(phen)q compared with Alq3. The fundamental structures of the organic lightemitting diodes (OLEDs) were ITO/NPB/Zn(HPB)2/Zn(phen)q and Alq3/LiF/Al. As a result, the electron transport properties of Zn(phen)q were better than those of Alq3. Therefore, Zn(phen)q should be useful as an electron transport material to enhance the performance of OLEDs.

MP3 음악과 같은 오디오 컨텐츠의 저작권 보호를 위한 다양한 오디오 워터마킹 기법이 활발히 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 XUEYAO LI[1]가 제안한 방법을 기반으로 VLSI H/W구조를 제안하며 이를 Verilog HDL을 이용하여 설계 및 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 본 논문에서 사용한 워터마크 삽입 기법은 시각적 식별성이 뛰어난 이진 이미지를 기반으로 의사 랜덤 수열을 생성하여 웨이브릿 영역에서의 워터마크를 삽입하는 기법이다. H/W 설계의 복잡성을 줄이기 위해 워터마크 삽입 강도를 스케일링 하는 기법을 생략하였으나 Matlab을 이용한 알고리즘 시뮬레이션 결과 워터마크 삽입 신호의 음질에 거의 영향을 주지 않으며 몇몇 알려진 워터마크 공격에도 강인성을 보였다.

We report a case of solitary Langerhans cell histiocytosis, formerly usually referred to as eosinophilic granuloma of rib. A 52 year old woman presented with six month history of left sided chest pain. A left oblique view of chest x-ray and chest computed tomography revealed a 4 by 1 cm osteolytic lesion in the posterior portion of the left 10th rib. An excisional biopsy was taken from the left 10th rib. The specimen typically showed eosinophilic leukocytes and numerous Langerhans cell histiocytes. Immunohistochemically, they exhibited reactivity for S100-protein. Eosinophilic granuloma of the bone shows a characteristic age distribution with an incidence of 90% in children. However this case is unusual because of the age of the patient.
Study on Luminescent and Electron Transporting Properties of OLEDs Using Zn(phen)q and Zn(HPB)q

<P> Recently, high luminance and efficiency were realized in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) with multilayer structure. Alq3 is the most well known material and it has been used as electron transporting material in the OLEDs. We synthesized a novel materials, [(1,10-phenanthroline)(8-hydroxyquinoline)] (Zn(phen)q) and [(2-(2-hydroxyphenyl) benzoxazole)(8-hydoxyquinoline)] (Zn(HPB)q). We measured luminescent properties of Zn(phen)q and Zn(HPB)q using as emitting materials. We investigated that electron transporting properties of Zn(phen)q and Zn(HPB)q compared with those of Alq3 which is used as electron transporting materials. The LUMO level Zn(phen)q and Zn(HPB)q were measured 3.2 eV and 3.5 eV, respectively. As a result, electron transporting properties of Zn(phen)q and Zn(HPB)q were better than that of Alq3. Therefore, Zn(phen)q and Zn(HPB)q are useful as an electron transporting materials to enhance the performance of OLEDs.</P>
A 4W GaAs Power Amplifier MMIC for Ku-band Satellite Communication Applications

In this paper, we demonstrated a 4W power amplifier monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) for Ku-band satellite communication applications. The used device technology relies on 0.25mm GaAs pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistor (PHEMT) process. The 4W power amplifier MMIC has linear gain of over 30 dB and saturated output power of over 36.1 dBm in the frequency range of 13.75 GHz ~ 14.5 GHz. Power added efficiency (PAE) is over 30 %.

Electroluminescence of co-ligated aluminum complex of α-pyridoin and 8-hydroxyquinoline

Sodium salt of photoluminescent Eu-containing polyoxometalate (Eu-POM) has been prepared and its chemical structure andphysical properties characterized. The Eu-POM was unstable outside the pH range 5.58.5, and a pH just over 7 gave the best yield.We investigated the photoluminescent properties of Eu-POM with changing the reactants ratio of heteropolytungstate andEuCl3 Æ6H2O. The Eu-POM was characterized by UV/Vis, FT-IR,1H-NMR, PL and XPS. Eu-POM emits orange light of590 nm when excited with the light of 280 nm and we made dodecyltrimethylammonium (DDTA) salt of Eu-POM (Eu-POM/DDTA) by exchange of the counter cation. The Eu-POM/DDTA is soluble in common organic solvents, while Eu-POM is onlysoluble in water and it emits reddish orange light of 625 nm when excited with light of 250 nm.
