        PREPROXIMITY, UNIFORMITY SPACES AND APPLICATIONS OF (E, L) FUZZIFYING MATROID

        In this paper, (E, L)-preproximity and uniformity spaces in matriod theory as a generalized to a classical proximity and Uniformity spaces introduced by Csaszar [1] is introduced. Recently, Shi [17]-[18] introduced a new approach to the fuzzification of matroids.Here introduce (E, L)-preproximity and uniformity spaces, Uniformity and strong uniformity on (E, L)-fuzzifying matroid space, Not only study the properties of this new notions, but it has been generated (E, L)-fuzzifying matroid Space from (E, L)-preproximity and uniformity spaces. Next to introduced (E, L)-preproximity continuous in (E, L)-fuzzifying matroid space and used it in more properties. Finally we solve combinatorial optimizations problem via (E, L)-fuzzifying matroid space.

        Intestinal Hypoganglionosis Leading to Intestinal Failure and the Compassionate Use of Omegaven<sup>TM</sup>

        Intestinal hypoganglionosis is a rare innervation disorder that provides numerous nutritional, medical and surgical challenges. In this case report, we present a case of a newborn with intestinal hypoganglionosis leading to intestinal failure and intestinal failure-associated liver disease who responded to $Omegaven^{TM}$, a fat emulsion comprised of omega-3 fatty acids. $Omegaven^{TM}$ has been shown to be beneficial in the management of cholestatic liver injury. Clinical success with $Omegaven^{TM}$ was seen in this patient with a clear decrease in aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase and complete resolution of cholestasis with a direct bilirubin of zero within two weeks of initiation of $Omegaven^{TM}$. No current guidelines for the diagnosis and management of hypoganglionosis are available. We recommend a multidisciplinary approach and the use of novel therapies such as fat emulsions composed of omega-3 fatty acids for improved patient outcomes. Appropriate compassionate use protocols should be obtained from the Food and Drug Administration prior to initiation of $Omegaven^{TM}$.

        Immunotoxicity Following Pre- and Post-natal Aluminum Exposure in Rats

        The present study was designed to explore the immunotoxic effects of orally administered aluminum (AI) on pregnant rats (n = 60) and their growing fetuses and consequently on the animal wealth. The animals were randomly allocated into three equal groups of 20 rats each. The first group has no treatment and kept as a control (G1). The second and third groups of pregnant rats were treated orally with aluminum chloride at 345 mg/Kg b.wt. The second group (G2) received the tested compound from the $6^{th}$ day of gestation to the end of weaning, whereas the third group (G3) received the tested compound from the $15^{th}$h day of gestation to the end of weaning. Control and treated animals (dams and offspring) were immunized ip with (0.5 ml) 20% sheep red blood cell (SRBC) suspension seven days before the end of experiments. At the end of exposure, ten dams and ten offspring from each group were used for assessment of cell-mediated immunity and a similar number of animals were sacrificed for evaluating the humoral immune response and serum protein profile. Aluminum chloride exposure of dams ($G_2&G_3$) caused significant suppression of both cell mediated and humoral immune responses in the obtained offsprings compared to the control group ($G_1$) without any significant effect on the immune responses of these dams. Moreover, the serum total globulins, albumin/ globulin (A/G) ratio and gamma globulin fraction were significantly decreased in the treated dam's offsprings compared to the corresponding controls while the serum total protein and all serum protein fractions showed non significant difference between the control and treated dams and between the two treated dam groups themselves. There were no histopathological changes observed in thymus, spleen and liver of the control and treated dams. Thymus of treated dam's offsprings (G2) showed lymphoid depletion in both cortex and medulla. Their spleens showed lymphoid depletion in the white pulps and congestion with hemosiderosis in the red pulps. Liver of treated dam's offsprings showed dilation and congestion of its central vein with degenerative changes in the hepatocytes. These histopathological changes were more severe in G2 than in G3 offsprings. It can be concluded that gestational and/ or lactation exposure of pregnant dams to AI chloride caused suppression of both cellular and humoral immune responses of their offsprings.

      • Behavior of SFRC interior beam-column joints under cyclic loading

        In this paper, the behavior of interior steel fiber reinforced concrete beam - column joints (BCJs) under cyclic loading is investigated. An experimental program including tests on twelve reinforced concrete (BCJs) specimens under cyclic loading was carried out. The test specimens are divided into two groups having different geometry: group (G1) (symmetrical BCJs specimens) and group (G2) (nonsymmetrical BCJs specimens). The parameters considered in this study are the steel fibers (SFs) content by volume of concrete (V<sub>f</sub>), the spacing of shear reinforcement at the joint region, and the area of longitudinal flexural reinforcement. Test results show that the addition of 0.5% SFs with stirrups spacing S=S<sub>max</sub> has effectively enhanced the overall performance of BCJs with respect to energy dissipation, ductility ratio, spreading and width of cracks. The failure of specimens is governed mainly by the formation of a plastic hinge at the face column and outside the beam-column junction. Secondary shear cracks were also observed in the beam-column junctions.

        68Ga DOTA-TOC Uptake in Non-ossifying Fibroma: a Case Report

        Non-ossifying fibroma (NOF) is a common benign bone tumor with a high probability of occurrence in children and adolescents. It is commonly seen in the metaphysis of long bones, eccentrically located, and can coexist with other malignant tumors such as neuroendocrine tumors (NET). To date, plain radiographs play a major role in the diagnosis of these benign bone tumors. Herein, we report the case of a 13-year-old male patient who was diagnosed with pulmonary NET and underwent right lung lobectomy for a hilar mass which later revealed a well-differentiated NET. The follow-up 68Ga DOTA-TOC PET/CT showed a focal somatostatin receptor expression in the left distal femur, with corresponding CT component findings of a well-defined osteolytic bone lesion located within the medial aspect of the left distal femoral metaphysis, strongly indicative of NOF. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first reported case of such an occurrence.

        Principles of Learning Arabic in Ibn Khaldun's Muqaddimah

        This article is concerned about the language strategy for non-Arabic speakers in learning the Arabic language. The purpose of this study is to determine the educational strategy based on opinions Ibn Khaldun Educational, which concerns the teaching of Arabic to non-native speakers. Although Ibn Khaldun is known as the founder of sociology, he has a Strategy almost integrated in the Arab education. Therefore, I try to collect the Ibn Khaldun educational ideas scattered in Muqaddimah and arranged it to suit the teaching of Arabic in modern times. It should be noted that the research has reached that there are five basic Principles in learning Arabic in Muqaddimah, they are almost entirely Theoretical in Ibn Khaldun's learning of Arabic for other speakers, which can be applied to other languages and these five principles are: hierarchy, listening, repetition and memorization, Syntax, and finally practice.

        Cholestasis beyond the Neonatal and Infancy Periods

        Cholestasis results from impairment in the excretion of bile, which may be due to mechanical obstruction of bile flow or impairment of excretion of bile components into the bile canaliculus. When present, cholestasis warrants prompt diagnosis and treatment. The differential diagnosis of cholestasis beyond the neonatal period is broad and includes congenital and acquired etiologies. It is imperative that the clinician differentiates between intrahepatic and extrahepatic origin of cholestasis. Treatment may be supportive or curative and depends on the etiology. Recent literature shows that optimal nutritional and medical support also plays an integral role in the management of pediatric patients with chronic cholestasis. This review will provide a broad overview of the pathophysiology, diagnostic approach, and management of cholestasis beyond the neonatal and infancy periods.

        Multilevel Inverter Fault-Tolerant Control with Wavelet Index in Induction Motor

        The wavelet based fault tolerant control (FTC) is a new aspect in the industrial applications, and it’s often used in both high-power high-voltage motor drive applications. To ensure the smooth operation of the control system, the researchers perform more fault-tolerant control systems (FTCS). In this work, a FTCS in the induction motor (IM) using wavelet index introduced. The operation of the power devices of a three-level diode-clamped multilevel inverter under variable load and short stator winding fault is analyzed through MATLAB simulation. The wavelet index of output speed, torque and fl ux used to detect faulty operation due to its deviation with healthy wavelet index. The feature extraction property of wavelet analysis used as input to the expert system to develop a fault indicator. The diagnosis algorithm, which depends on both wavelet and vector control to generate PWM as current based not only detects short stator winding faults but manage any parameter variation such as speed, torque and fl ux. The lockup table models used to build correction unit to estimate the satisfactory speed, torque and fl ux. The proposed method is eff ective in many situations to check the vector control algorithm, and has a satisfactory fault tolerant operation.

        Colonic Angioectasia in an Adolescent Boy with Hoyeraal-Hreidarsson on Long-Term Anabolic Steroid Therapy

        Androgen therapy has proven efficacy in treating patients with bone marrow failure who are not candidates for bone marrow transplantation. Herein, we report on a case of colonic angioectasia secondary to oxymetholone use in an adolescent patient with Hoyeraal-Hreidarsson syndrome (HHS). A 13-year-old Caucasian male with HHS characterized by cerebellar hypoplasia, developmental delay, microcephaly, esophageal strictures and myelodysplasia presented with severe hematochezia from colonic angioectasia secondary to long-term oxymetholone therapy. These vascular lesions resolved spontaneously once this anabolic steroid was discontinued. While androgen therapy is often recommended for certain anemias and myelodysplastic syndromes, clinicians should be aware of the potential complication in developing these perceived uncommon colonic angioectasias. Moreover, pediatric gastroenterologists should familiarize themselves in identifying these vascular lesions by colonoscopy, especially among the high risk groups on long-term anabolic steroid therapy.

      • Analyzing nonlinear mechanical-thermal buckling of imperfect micro-scale beam made of graded graphene reinforced composites

        This research is devoted to analyzing mechanical-thermal post-buckling behavior of a micro-size beam reinforced with graphene platelets (GPLs) based on geometric imperfection effects. Graphene platelets have three types of dispersion within the structure including uniform-type, linear-type and nonlinear-type. The micro-size beam is considered to be perfect (ideal) or imperfect. Buckling mode shape of the micro-size beam has been assumed as geometric imperfection. Modified couple stress theory has been used for describing scale-dependent character of the beam having micro dimension. Via an analytical procedure, post-buckling path of the micro-size beam has been derived. It will be demonstrated that nonlinear buckling characteristics of the micro-size beam are dependent on geometric imperfection amplitude, thermal loading, graphene distribution and couple stress effects.
