      • 체육수업중 교사의 상호작용 행동이 수업평가에 미치는 영향

        최경범,최영인,염건영,류기성 한국스포츠리서치 2004 한국 스포츠 리서치 Vol.15 No.5

The purpose of this study was to re-examine the effectiveness of teacher interaction behaviors on student learning products using two different kinds of experimental teaching units(E,T.U.). In one E.T.U., two teachers instructed respectively "vault activity units" to 5th grade classes of elementary schools with the same objectives, contents, methods and similar Environments. In such controlled conditions, we intervened with teacher A to perform active interaction behaviors(especially feedback behaviors to individual motor learning). On the other hand, teacher B was not intervened concerning interaction behaviors. In these practices, teacher A performed interaction behaviors 2 times more than teacher B. As a result, the average scores of student formative Evaluation to physical Education were significantly higher in teacher A's class than teacher B's class. In the other E.T.U., the same teacher instructed "volleyball activity units" to 2 different classes of the 9th grade in a junior high school, Instructional conditions with 2 classes were Equally controlled without teacher interaction behaviors. In the model C class, we intervened with the teacher to perform active interaction behaviors especially with individual student motor learning. In the model D class, the teacher was not intervened with performance of interaction in their motor learning, but to give advices about learning how to learn, in order to facilitate their spontaneous learning. As a result, the teacher in model C class performed interaction behaviors 3 times more than in the model D class. The average scores of student formative evaluation were also significantly higher in the model C class than the model D class. Thus, it seemed that the effectiveness of teacher interaction behaviors for student motor learning in physical education class suggested by previous research was confirm through these results of these E.T.U. studies.

      • Analysis of Longitudinal Porous Dielectric-Loaded Rectangular Waveguide

        Kean Jeudy,Tuptim Angkaew 대한전자공학회 2017 대한전자공학회 학술대회 Vol.2017 No.1

The miniaturization of rectangular waveguide by loading with longitudinal porous dielectric material has been proposed. The porous dielectric is a kind of composite material which can be fabricated in practical. The finite element analysis of guided modes in longitudinal porous dielectric-loaded rectangular waveguide has been carried out to investigating dispersion characteristics. Numerous numerical experiments of modal analysis of rectangular waveguides loaded with different porosity have been conducted. The cutoff frequency of the fundamental mode and single mode operation bandwidth in porous dielectric-loaded waveguides depend on porosity or filling factor. It is found that the cutoff frequencies increase in accordance with the increasing of filling factor, which benefits to miniaturize the waveguide.

A Systematic Review of the Effectiveness of Medical Cannabis for Psychiatric, Movement and Neurodegenerative Disorders

Keane Lim,Yuen Mei See,Jimmy Lee 대한정신약물학회 2017 CLINICAL PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY AND NEUROSCIENCE Vol.15 No.4

The discovery of endocannabinoid’s role within the central nervous system and its potential therapeutic benefits have brought forth rising interest in the use of cannabis for medical purposes. The present review aimed to synthesize and evaluate the available evidences on the efficacy of cannabis and its derivatives for psychiatric, neurodegenerative and movement disorders. A systematic search of randomized controlled trials of cannabis and its derivatives were conducted via databases (PubMed, Embase and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials). A total of 24 reports that evaluated the use of medical cannabis for Alzheimer’s disease, anorexia nervosa, anxiety, dementia, dystonia, Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), psychosis and Tourette syndrome were included in this review. Trial quality was assessed with the Cochrane risk of bias tool. There is a lack of evidence on the therapeutic effects of cannabinoids for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and dystonia. Although trials with positive findings were identified for anorexia nervosa, anxiety, PTSD, psychotic symptoms, agitation in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, Huntington’s disease, and Tourette syndrome, and dyskinesia in Parkinson’s disease, definitive conclusion on its efficacy could not be drawn. Evaluation of these low-quality trials, as rated on the Cochrane risk of bias tools, was challenged by methodological issues such as inadequate description of allocation concealment, blinding and underpowered sample size. More adequately powered controlled trials that examine the long and short term efficacy, safety and tolerability of cannabis for medical use, and the mechanisms underpinning the therapeutic potential are warranted.

Live birth outcomes of vitrified embryos generated under growth hormone stimulation are improved for women categorized as poor-prognosis

Keane, Kevin N,Ye, Yun,Hinchliffe, Peter M,Regan, Sheena LP,Dhaliwal, Satvinder S,Yovich, John L The Korean Society for Reproductive Medicine 2019 Clinical and Experimental Reproductive Medicine Vol.46 No.4

Objective: To determine the clinical pregnancy (CP) and live birth (LB) rates arising from frozen embryo transfers (FETs) that had been generated under the influence of in vitro fertilization (IVF) adjuvants given to women categorized as poor-prognosis. Methods: A registered, single-center, retrospective study. A total of 1,119 patients with first FETs cycle include 310 patients with poor prognosis (109 treated with growth hormone [GH], (+)GH group vs. 201 treated with dehydroepiandrosterone, (-)GH group) and 809 patients with good prognosis (as control, (-)Adj (Good) group). Results: The poor-prognosis women were significantly older, with a lower ovarian reserve than the (-)Adj (Good) group, and demonstrated lower chances of CP (p< 0.005) and LB (p< 0.005). After adjusting for confounders, the chances of both CP and LB in the (+)GH group were not significantly different from those in the (-)Adj (Good) group, indicating that the poor-prognosis patients given GH had similar outcomes to those with a good prognosis. Furthermore, the likelihood of LB was significantly higher for poor-prognosis women given GH than for those who did not receive GH (p< 0.028). This was further confirmed in age-matched analyses. Conclusion: The embryos cryopreserved from fresh IVF cycles in which adjuvant GH had been administered to women classified as poor-prognosis showed a significant 2.7-fold higher LB rate in subsequent FET cycles than a matched poor-prognosis group. The women with a poor prognosis who were treated with GH had LB outcomes equivalent to those with a good prognosis. We therefore postulate that GH improves some aspect of oocyte quality that confers improved competency for implantation.

Effect of Acrylate-Cement Grout on the Unconfined Compressive Strength of Silty Sand

        Kean-Thai Chhun,이수형,Sam-Ang Keo,윤찬영 대한토목학회 2019 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.23 No.6

Chemical grouting has been widely used to ensure the stability and durability of built structures by enhancing the engineering properties of soils. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of a newly developed acrylate-cement grout, composed of component A (acrylic polymer, catalyst, and hardener) and component B (cement) having mixing ratios varying from 0.5% to 2% of the total weight, on the unconfined compressive strength of silty sand. Three series of laboratory tests (gel time, expansion ratio, and unconfined compression strength) were carried out on reconstituted soil samples with a void replacement ratio of 80% and 100% by acrylate-cement grout. The results showed that the optimum cement ratio of the chemical grout was 1.5% based on the unconfined compressive strength and the elastic modulus for the silty sand with grouting.

The electrochemical studies of the corrosion resistance behaviour of hydroxyapatite coatings on stainless steel fabricated by electrophoretic deposition

        Kean-Khoon Chew,Sharif Hussein Sharif Zein,Abdul Latif Ahmada,David S. McPhail,Muhammad Faiq Abdullah 한국공업화학회 2013 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.19 No.4

HA was coated on stainless steel (SS) 316L by using electrophoretic deposition to impart corrosion resistance upon SS 316L. Consequently, corrosion behaviour of HA coated SS 316L deposited from applied voltages 10 V to 60 V (denoted as HA/SS316L-10V until -60V) was evaluated in comparison with pristine SS 316L by various electrochemical studies. As results, linear potentiodynamic polarisation result suggested that HA/SS316L-40V exhibits highest open circuit potential indicating that successful protection of HA coating. Additionally, cyclic polarisation studies revealed that HA coated SS 316L improves pitting corrosion resistance. Finally, EIS results demonstrated that higher polarisation resistance and lower capacitance values for HA/SS316L-40V.

Surgical Morphometry of C1 and C2 Vertebrae: A Three-Dimensional Computed Tomography Analysis of 180 Chinese, Indian, and Malay Patients

Chee Kean Lee,Tiam Siong Tan,Chris Yin Wei Chan,Mun Keong Kwan 대한척추외과학회 2017 Asian Spine Journal Vol.11 No.2

Study Design: Clinical imaging study. Purpose: To study the surgical morphometry of C1 and C2 vertebrae in Chinese, Indian, and Malay patients. Overview of Literature: C1 lateral mass and C2 pedicle screw fixation is gaining popularity. However, there is a lack of C1–C2 morphometric data for the Asian population. Methods: Computed tomography analysis of 180 subjects (60 subjects each belonging to Chinese, Indian, and Malay populations) using simulation software was performed. Length and angulations of C1 lateral mass (C1LM) and C2 pedicle (C2P) screws were assessed. Results: The predicted C1LM screw length was between 23.2 and 30.2 mm. The safe zone of trajectories was within 11.0°±7.7° laterally to 29.1°±6.2° medially in the axial plane and 37.0°±10.2° caudally to 20.9°±7.8° cephalically in the sagittal plane. The shortest and longest predicted C2P screw lengths were 22.1±2.8 mm and 28.5±3.2 mm, respectively. The safe trajectories were from 25.1° to 39.3° medially in the axial plane and 32.3° to 45.9° cephalically in the sagittal plane. Conclusions: C1LM screw length was 23–30 mm with the axial safe zone from 11° laterally to 29° medially and sagittal safe zone at 21° cephalically. C2P screw length was 22–28 mm with axial safe zone from 26° to 40° medially and sagittal safe zone from 32° to 46° cephalically. These data serve as an important reference for Chinese, Indian, and Malay populations during C1–C2 instrumentation.

Ultra Long Construct Minimally Invasive Spinal Stabilization Using Percutaneous Pedicle Screws in the Treatment of Symptomatic Multicentric Spinal Metastasis

Chee Kean Lee,Chris Yin Wei Chan,Mun Keong Kwan 대한척추외과학회 2015 Asian Spine Journal Vol.9 No.6

Managing multiple level spinal metastases is challenging. We report the case of a 58-year-old female with advanced lung cancer who presented with multiple pathological fractures of the thoracic spine (T5, T6, T7, and T8 vertebrae). She was treated with palliative radiotherapy. Her resting pain improved, but the instability pain persisted. One month later, she had a trivial fall leading to a pathological fracture of the L2 vertebra with cauda equine syndrome. The patient was treated surgically with minimally invasive decompression of the L2 and with percutaneous instrumented stabilization using an ultra-long construct from T3 to L5 (15 spinal levels), spanning the previously radiated zone and the decompression site. Postoperatively, she had significant improvements in pain and neurology. There were no surgical complications. Ultra long construct minimally invasive spinal stabilization is the ideal approach for symptomatic multicentric spinal metastasis with poor prognostic scores. Using this technique, the goals of spinal stabilization and direct neural decompression can be achieved with minimal morbidity.
