Moving from Cash to Cashless Economy: Toward Digital India

Kartik AGGARWAL,Sushant MALIK,Dharmesh K. MISHRA,Dipen PAUL 한국유통과학회 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.4

The study evaluates India’s technological advancement, which has created a range of opportunities for consumers to enter into digital payment space. Demonetization in India has forced all consumers and companies to embrace and create cashless digital payment platforms. The cashless economy scenario involves various factors for its adoption such as reach, availability and awareness. This study considers factors responsible for adopting new digital payment technologies in India’s different regions across various consumers. The study includes descriptive statistics and variance analysis (ANOVA) to identify elements to achieve maximum satisfaction. The research collects data from 250 respondents living in India, experiencing digital payments and online transactions. The data is collected through a structured questionnaire and critically analyzed using statistical analysis. The data has been analyzed with no sectorial biases and tracked by creating real-time indications. The study uses various hypotheses after taking responses from a sample of respondents. Cronbach’s Alpha analysis is also used to determine the validity and reliability of the data. The study illustrates the complete shift of consumer behavior from cash to a cashless economy. A certain number of factors are shown to directly influence the rate of such a shift toward digital transactions in India.

Implications of Managing Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease in Cardiovascular Diseases

        ( Kartik Deshmukh ),( Arjun Khanna ) 대한결핵 및 호흡기학회 2021 Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases Vol.84 No.1

Globally, cardiovascular diseases and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are the leading causes of the non-communicable disease burden. Overlapping symptoms such as breathing difficulty and fatigue, with a lack of awareness about COPD among physicians, are key reasons for under-diagnosis and resulting sub-optimal care relative to COPD. Much has been published in the past on the pathogenesis and implications of cardiovascular comorbidities in COPD. However, a comprehensive review of the prevalence and impact of COPD management in commonly encountered cardiac diseases is lacking. The purpose of this study was to summarize the current knowledge regarding the prevalence of COPD in heart failure, ischemic heart disease, and atrial fibrillation. We also discuss the real-life clinical presentation and practical implications of managing COPD in cardiac diseases. We searched PubMed, Scopus, EMBASE, and Google Scholar for studies published 1981-May 2020 reporting the prevalence of COPD in the three specified cardiac diseases. COPD has high prevalence in heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and ischemic heart disease. Despite this, COPD remains under-diagnosed and under-managed in the majority of patients with cardiac diseases. The clinical implications of the diagnosis of COPD in cardiac disease includes the recognition of hyperinflation (a treatable trait), implementation of acute exacerbations of COPD (AECOPD) prevention strategies, and reducing the risk of overuse of diuretics. The pharmacological agents for the management of COPD have shown a beneficial effect on cardiac functions and mortality. The appropriate management of COPD improves the cardiovascular outcomes by reducing hyperinflation and preventing AECOPD, thus reducing the risk of mortality, improving exercise tolerance, and quality of life.

      • Energy Efficient Clean and Green IT : Concepts and Approaches

Kartik kalia,Deepa Singh Sisodiya,Dinesh Sharma,Vishok Singh 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Smart Home Vol.9 No.6

Green IT practice is essential to minimize electricity bill. We have done our analysis on power consumption of computer. We have stated different management policies for reduction in energy consumption. Energy Star (ES) programme of the United States promotes energy efficiency in electronics products that provides an exceptional productivity as compared to the old or traditional systems. Energy Star program has been adopted by many countries to make a move towards Clean and Green environment. ES labels can be easily found on electronic appliances at homes, offices, buildings and many other places. Depending upon the devices, using these policies can result between 30%-90% of less power consumption. In our analysis, we got a reduction of 40% less power consumption in computers after implementing management policies. In this work, we are estimating power bill, and analyzing its economical feasibility along with that we are proposing a plan to reduce power consumption of academia and Institute. We have also discussed about management policies for disposal of e-waste.

Coloring of Anodized AZ91D Magnesium Alloy

Kartik Ria,Soon-Don Choi,Bong-Ki Min 한국물리학회 2009 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.54 No.6

In order to give better corrosion resistance and extra benefits in aesthetic value, such as coloring, the AZ91D magnesium alloy is used. The kind of solutions used for anodizing the alloys contain KOH, KF, Na3PO4 and H3BO4 as main components and Al(OH)3 (solution A) or NaAlO2(solution B). The presence of spinel structure MgAl2O4 is beneficial for the coloring process. Based on the cross section, surface morphology and phase identification data, the minimum anodizing condition required to produce good color properties was obtained. Black color was chosen because it produces good contrast with the substrate's color (white). Although the specimens were anodized under alkaline conditions, a suitable coloring environment with alkaline pH should be also provided. A development would probably provide effective bonding between the oxide layer and good color fastness. For the same time range, the specimens dyed at higher pH were more colorfast than the ones dipped under neutral pH conditions.

Anterior Spinal Cord Fissuring: A Predictor of Spontaneous Resolution of Syrinx?

        Kartik Manoj Multani,Boyina Jagadeshwar Rajesh,Krishna Kumar,Anjani Kumar 대한척추신경외과학회 2021 Neurospine Vol.18 No.1

Syringomyelia is a disorder of the spinal cord usually seen in association with a variety of craniovertebral junction anomalies (e.g., Chiari malformations, basilar invagination/impression, atlantoaxial instability, etc.). Its natural history is not very clearly understood and a majority of patients present with a slowly progressive neurological deficit followed by sudden rapid deterioration. At present, there is a general consensus to offer surgical decompression in all patients diagnosed with Chiari I malformation with syrinx irrespective of their symptoms in order to prevent delayed neurological worsening. Few authors have reported spontaneous resolution of syrinx with persistent tonsillar herniation without operative treatment. We report one such patient and propose anterior spinal cord fissuring as a plausible cause of spontaneous syrinx drainage. We also propose conservative management for patients with an anterior spinal cord fissure seen in index scans instead of early decompression of Chiari malformation.

Bioflocculant and Anticorrosive Activities of the Biopolymer Produced by Lysinibacillus macroides

        Andharia Kartik,Shilpkar Prateek,Shah Mayur 한국미생물·생명공학회 2023 한국미생물·생명공학회지 Vol.51 No.4

The biopolymer produced by Lysinibacillus macroides can be useful as an emulsifying agent, flocculating agent, anti-oxidative agent, and anti-corrosive agent. The present work focused on the functional activities of this biopolymer such as bioflocculant and anti-corrosion. The results of the study for the biopolymer as a bioflocculating agent reveal that the biopolymer gave 72.3% flocculating activity against activated carbon at a concentration of 5 mg/l. In the optimization study, the highest bioflocculant activity was obtained in the presence of CaCl2 mineral at 15% biopolymer concentration, 7.0 pH, and 40℃ temperature. The biopolymer was also studied for its anti-corrosive nature and observed that it was able to prevent corrosion of steel paper clips in a 6% CaCl2 solution at a concentration of 0.5% after 7 days.

Robustness for Scalable Autonomous UAV Operations

정성훈,Kartik B. Ariyur 한국항공우주학회 2017 International Journal of Aeronautical and Space Sc Vol.18 No.4

Automated mission planning for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is difficult because of the propagation of several sources of error into the solution, as for any large scale autonomous system. To ensure reliable system performance, we quantify all sources of error and their propagation through a mission planner for operation of UAVs in an obstacle rich environment we developed in prior work. In this sequel to that work, we show that the mission planner developed before can be made robust to errors arising from the mapping, sensing, actuation, and environmental disturbances through creating systematic buffers around obstacles using the calculations of uncertainty propagation. This robustness makes the mission planner truly autonomous and scalable to many UAVs without human intervention. We illustrate with simulation results for trajectory generation of multiple UAVs in a surveillance problem in an urban environment while optimizing for either maximal flight time or minimal fuel consumption. Our solution methods are suitable for any well-mapped region, and the final collision free paths are obtained through offline sub-optimal solution of an mTSP (multiple traveling salesman problem).
