        Correction to: Engineering Magnetic Type Radio‑Absorbers Based on Composites with a Dual‑Phase Polymer Matrix

        This work is focused on the optimization of electromagnetic and mechanical properties of magnetic polymer composites for EMI applications as radio absorbers (RAs). Polymer composites with a dual-phase polymer matrix, vinyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) in epoxy (ER), were investigated for fabricating highlyfilled manganese zinc ferrite (MnZn) and carbonyl iron (CI) composites with respect to radio-absorption and mechanical properties. The dielectric and magnetic properties of the composites were determined by the type, concentration as well as the polymer matrix composition. Increase of the filler and the PDMS concentration leads to an increase in magnetic losses due to a decrease in the demagnetizing field. The electromagnetic properties of the composites were evaluated in the RF band using the impedance method (1 MHz–3 GHz). Based on the complex permittivity (ε*) and the complex permeability (μ*), the reflection loss RL (dB) of single-layer metal-backed RAs were calculated. The RAs with a MnZn ferrite demonstrated a larger bandwidth to thickness ratio in comparison with the CI-based RAs due to a proper ratio between ε* and μ* which leads to the better impedance matching conditions. According to the mechanical analyses (DMA, Charpy impact strength) the significant increase of stiffness up to 125% and the impact strength up to 150% was achieved due to the optimal composition of the polymer matrix and the filler.

        Impact of altered environment and early postnatal methamphetamine exposure on serotonin levels in the rat hippocampus during adolescence

        Background: Methamphetamine (MA) is a highly abused psychostimulant across all age groups including pregnant women. Because developing brain is vulnerable by the action of drugs, or other noxious stimuli, the aim of our study was to examine the effect of early postnatal administration of MA alone or in combination with enriched environment (EE) and/or stress of separate housing, on the levels of serotonin (5HT) in the hippocampus of male rat pups at three stages of adolescence (postnatal day (PND) 28, 35 and 45). MA (5 mg/kg/ml) was administered subcutaneously (sc) to pups (direct administration), or via mothers' milk between PND1 and PND12 (indirect administration). Controls were exposed saline (SA). Pups were exposed to EE and/or to separation from the weaning till the end of the experiment. Results: On PND 28, in sc-treated series, EE significantly increased the muted 5HT in SA pups after separation and restored the pronounced inhibition of 5HT by MA. No beneficial effect of EE was present in pups exposed to combination of MA and separation. 5HT development declined over time; EE, MA and separation had different effects on 5HT relative to adolescence stage. Conclusions: Present study shows that MA along with environment or housing affect 5HT levels, depending on both the age and the method of application (direct or indirect). These findings extend the knowledge on the effects of MA alone and in combination with different housing conditions on the developing brain and highlight the increased sensitivity to MA during the first few months after birth.

        Prolonging blue TADF-OLED lifetime through ytterbium doping of electron transport layer

        Balanced charge carrier transport and broad carrier recombination zone are essential features for reducingtriplet exciton concentration and suppressing triplet-mediated annihilation processes, which affectthe performance and stability of blue-emitting organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) based on thermallyactivated delayed fluorescence (TADF) phenomenon. Doping of organic layers is among the most effectivemethods to control these features. Herein, the impact of ytterbium (Yb) doping of electron transport layeron the TADF-OLED performance, and particularly the lifetime, was thoroughly assessed. It was found thatthe lower doping concentrations of Yb (<10 wt%) cause electron trapping and reduced current density,whereas higher Yb concentrations facilitate electron transport in the device. Although the introductionof Yb somewhat deteriorated device efficiency, it extended operational lifetime of blue-emitting deviceby 2 orders of magnitude (up to 46 hours at 1000 cd/m2). This was shown to occur as a result of Ybassistednon-radiative triplet exciton quenching at the electron transport and emission layer interface,thus diminishing detrimental exciton annihilation processes.

        Effects of one or two applications of all-in-one adhesive on microtensile bond strength to unground enamel

        이 연구에서는 미세인장결합강도 실험과 주사전자현미경을 이용하여 unground enamel에 대한 all-in-one adhesive의 1회 또는 2회 적용에 따른 효과를 평가하였다. 발거된 하악 대구치의 설측 치관부를 사용하여 3개씩 5개의 군으로 분류하였다. SE군은 Clearfil™ SE Bond를 적용하였다. LP1 군, LP2 군은 Adper Prompt L-Pop™을 각각 1회 , 2회 적용하였다. XN1 군, XN2 군은 Xeno^(®) Ⅲ를 각각 )회, 2회 적용하였다. 그런 다음 복합 레진 Z100을 적층 충전하였다. 법랑질 표면의 접착제를 아세톤으로 제거하고 주사 전자 현미경을 이용하여 산 부식 양상을 관찰하였다. 미세인장결합강도 측정을 위해 표본을 절단하여 레진과 치아의 접착 계면이 1 ㎟이 되도록 하여 실험하였다. 실험의 결과는 One-way ANOVA를 사용해 분석한 다음 Duncan's post-hoc test로 사후 검정 하였다. 본 연구의결과 a11-in-one adhesive의 1회와 2회 적용간에는 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았으며 two-step self-etching adhesive와 a11-in-one adhesive의 산 부식 양상 모두 얕고 불규칙 하였다. The purposes of this study were to compare the effects of one or two applications of all-in-ne adhesives on microtensile bond strengths (TBS) to unground enamel and to investigate the morphological changes in enamel surfaces treated with these adhesives using a scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Twenty-five noncarious, unrestored human mandibular molars were used. The unground enamel surfaces were cleansed with pumice. The following adhesives were applied to lingual, mid-coronal surfaces according to manufacture's directions; Clearfil SE bond in SE group, Adper Prompt L-Pop™1 coat in LP1 group, 2 coats in LP2 group, Xeno^(®) Ⅲ1 coat in XN1 group, and 2 coats in XN2 group. After application of the adhesives, a hybrid light-activated resin composite was built up on the unground enamel. Each tooth was sectioned to make a cross-sectional area of approximately 1.0 ㎟ for each stick. The microtensile bond strength was determined. Each specimen was observed under SEM to examine the morphological changes. Data were analyzed with one-way ANOVA. The results of this study were as follows; 1. The microtensile bond strength values were; SE (19.77 ± 2.44 MPa), LP1 (13.88 ± 3.67 MPa), LP2 (14.50 ± 2.52 MPa), XN1 (14.42 ± 2.51 MPa) and XN2 (15.28 ±2.79 MPa). SE was significantly higher than the other groups in bond strength (p < 0.05). All groups except SE were not significantly different in bond strength (p < 0.05). 2. All groups were characterized as shallow and irregular etching patterns.

        특성화고 졸업자의 재학 중 교육 및 진로개발 서비스 참여 경험이 일자리의 질에 미치는 효과

        이 연구는 특성화고등학교 졸업자가 재학 당시 학교에서 제공한 교육과 진로개발 서비스에 대한 참여 경험이 졸업 후 일자리의 질에 미치는 영향 관계를 분석하기 위하여 한국고용정보원의 ‘고졸자 취업진로 조사(HSGOMS: High School Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey)’를 활용하여 4,077명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 특성화고등학교 재학 중에 높은 학업 성과를 내고자 노력하고 학교에서 제공하는 진로개발 서비스에 적극적으로 참여하고자 노력할수록 학교교육과 진로개발 프로그램으로부터 더 많은 것을 획득하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 특성화고등학교 졸업자가 참여한 교육 및 진로개발 프로그램에 대해 주관적 만족도가 높을수록 졸업 후 괜찮은 일자리로 진입할 가능성도 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 특성화고등학교 재학 중 학업에 충실하고 학교에서 제공하는 진로개발 프로그램에 적극적으로 참여할수록 일자리의 질이 향상되었으며, 이 현상은 학교생활 경험에 대한 주관적 만족 수준을 매개로 하여 더욱 현저한 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of school experience of graduates of career-centered high school during their school days on the quality of job after graduation. To accomplish this purpose, the data of 4,077 cases which their employment status can be discerned from High School Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey were analyzed. Study results showed that students` school achievement and activeness of participation in high school`s programs effects positively on their satisfaction of high school`s programs. Secondly, perceived satisfaction of high school`s programs effects positively on the quality of job after graduation. Thirdly, students` school achievement and activeness of participation in high school`s programs is drawn as a positive factor which influences on the quality of job, which shows more noticeable by the intermediation of perceived satisfaction of high school`s programs between them.
