Efficient synthetic method for the preparation of ethyl 2-aryl-2,3-alkadienoates through Pd-catalyzed selective allenyl cross-coupling reactions of aryl iodides with organoindiums generated in situ from indium and ethyl 4-bromo-2-alkynoate was developed. The cyclization reaction of ethyl 2-aryl-2,3-alkadienoates catalyzed by AuCl_3 and AgOTf in the presence of AcOH or TfOH produced various α-aryl γ-butenolides or γ-substituted α-aryl γ-butenolides.
The Study on Radar-Rainfall Estimation with Radar and AWS
JunTae Choi,Eunsil Jung,Yoonjung Lee,Byungsun Kim 한국기상학회 2004 한국기상학회 학술대회 논문집 Vol.2004 No.-
There are plenty of radar reflectivity-to-rainfall transformation schemes to estimate quantitative precipitation. KMA is developing radar-rainfall estimation system for providing QPE. The realtime derived power law scheme was studied with radar reflectivity data gathered by 4 radar sites which cover inland area. Even though the scheme is not sufficiently verified, the verification result show a promise the possibility. What parameter set is selected depends on the usage of Radar-Rainfall. If bias has higher a priority, small parameter b should be considered. Otherwise rmse is preferred to bias, larger b is selected. In order to apply to operation, the stability and consistency might be verified.
Fabrication and characterization of p-n heterojunction with CoOx/IGZO oxide semiconductors
Juntae Ahn,Taeyoung Kim,Eun Kyu Kim 한국진공학회 2021 한국진공학회 학술발표회초록집 Vol.2021 No.2
Most of oxide semiconductors show n-type conduction, but there are some p-type materials such as copper oxide and cobalt oxide.[1,2] We fabricated oxide semiconductor based p-n heterojunction with p-CoOx and n-IGZO. The CoOx films were deposited by high vacuum RF sputtering system. IGZO films were sputtered. For Ohmic contacts, Au/Ti with thickness of 50 nm/3 nm and Al of 50 nm thickness were deposited on CoOx and IGZO layers, respectively, by a thermal evaporator. Thin film transistors and p-n heterojunctions of p-CoOx and m-IGZO films were fabricated and characterized.
Interrelations between Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emission and Total Floor Area of Buildings
Juntae Son,Seongju Chang 대한건축학회 2017 Architectural research Vol.19 No.4
Recently, it is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore carbon emission implication of building operations due to the significant rate of energy usage in buildings. In the building sector, our normal expectation implies that large building floor area induces more greenhouse gas (GHG) emission. In this research, the correlation between building total floor areas and GHG emission was explored by simple linear regression and analyzing the yielded residuals for confirming this seemingly obvious conjecture. By looking at the generated regression lines drawn based on the data sets representing public facilities in Ontario, Canada, we were able to confirm that carbon emission rate shows a proportional increase or decrease depending on the total floor area of buildings as has been implied as a conjecture. Some buildings were found to emit significantly large and small amount of GHG, and we addressed potential reasons why those buildings show the deviation from the confirmed proportional interrelation between a building’s total floor area and the amount of GHG emission.
AI-guided Story Generation Framework with Automatic Storyline Generator
Juntae Kim,Yoonseok Heo,Inkwon Lee,Jungwook Han,Jongho Nang 한국차세대컴퓨팅학회 2022 한국차세대컴퓨팅학회 학술대회 Vol.2022 No.10
A story generation task is to develop a system that can continuously generate natural, consistent, and coherent stories for consecutive scenes. Recently transformer-based language models have shown considerable results at the sentence-level generation for learning human-writing ability. However, it is very crucial to understand the way of developing the story using a combination of various contents. Recent works have mainly focused on human-guided AI story generation methods in which humans as guidance determine the next storyline, and the system creates a story that reflects the storyline well. This study focuses on the way of replacing the human role with the AI-based model. Based on this, this study deals with the methodology for creating a long story spanning multiple scenes rather than creating a story at the level of one scene. In this regard, we propose a novel AI-guided story generation framework with automatic storyline generator. It is a pipeline structure consisting of two modules such as a storyline generator and a story generator, which enables the continuous creation of coherent stories. Particularly, we transform the storyline generation problem into a multiple-choice QA problem to predict the next storyline. This study shows the possibility of generating continuous stories for multiple scenes without any human intervention.
