<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Calcium (Ca<SUP>2+</SUP>) is an important regulator of apoptotic signaling. Calbindin‐D<SUB>9k</SUB> (CaBP‐9k) and ‐D<SUB>28k</SUB> (CaBP‐28k) have a high affinity for Ca<SUP>2+</SUP> ions. Uterine calbindins appear to be involved in the regulation of myometrial activity by intracellular Ca<SUP>2+</SUP>. In addition, uterine calbindins are expressed in the mouse endometrium and are regulated by steroid hormones during implantation and development. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the regulation of apoptosis in the uteri of CaBP‐9k, CaBP‐28k, and CaBP‐9k/28k knockout (KO) mice. Our findings indicated that Bax protein was enhanced in the uteri of CaBP‐28k and CaBP‐9k/28k KO mice compared to wild‐type (WT) and CaBP‐9k KO mice, but no difference was observed in Bcl‐2 protein expression. The expressions of caspase 3, 6, and 7 proteins were higher in both CaBP‐28k and CaBP‐9k/28k KO mice than in WT and CaBP‐9k KO mice. These results suggest that the absence of CaBP‐28k increases apoptotic signaling. We also investigated the expression of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress genes by Western blot analysis in calbindin KO mice. C/EBP homologous protein and immunoglobulin heavy chain‐binding protein protein levels were elevated in CaBP‐28k KO mice compared to WT mice. When immature mice were treated with 17β‐estradiol (E2) or progesterone (P4) for 3 days, we found that the expressions of Bax and caspase 3 protein were increased by E2 treatment in WT and CaBP‐9k KO mice, and by P4 treatment in CaBP‐28k KO mice. These results indicate that CaBP‐28k blocks the up‐regulation of apoptosis‐related genes and ER stress genes, implying that CaBP‐28k may decrease the expression of genes involved in apoptosis and ER stress in murine uterine tissue. Mahalanobis Taguchi System을 이용한 척추질환 환자의 진단에 관한 연구

The Mahalanobis-Taguchi System is a diagnosis and predictive method for analyzing patterns in multivariate cases. The goal of this study is diagnosis of the spondylolisthesis using biomedical data that is derived from the shape and orientation of the pelvis and lumbar spine. The data set has six attributes including pelvic incidence, pelvic tilt, lumbar lordosis angle, sacral slope, pelvic radius and grade of spondylolisthesis and two class including normal and abnormal. From UCI machine learning repository, 100 normal and 150 spondylolisthesis patient's data used for this study. Mahalanobis Taguchi System(MTS) application process and the diagnosis results described in this paper.

스탠딩 컬럼웰(Standing Column Well) 히트펌프시스템은 지하수의 열교환으로부터 지열에너지를 생산한다. 모의지열펌프시스템(SHPS)을 제작하고 이를 이용하여 변화하는 토양의 온도를 관찰하고, bleeding 실험 후 SHPS 내에서 토양 미생물의 양과종의 변화를 파악하였다. 이와 같은 실험을 통해 토양의 온도 변화와 수분의 변화에 의해 토양 내 미생물의 전반적인 양은 감소하였고, 종의 개체수가 감소함을 볼 수 있었다. 열원으로 사용되는 지하수의 성상분석을 통해 사용 전 후의 특성을 파악하고, 지하수 시료를 생활용수 기준으로 수질 분석 하였다. 그 결과 지하수의 수질 자체가 매우 양호하여 지하수 오염은 일어나지 않은 것으로 파악되었다. 또한 지하수 시료의 경우에도 지하수 내 존재하고 있는 미생물의 종과 양의 변화를 파악하여, 열원으로 사용 전 후의 미생물의 종과 양이 변화 한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 지하수의 온도가 2-3도 증가함에 따라 미생물의 양이 90% 정도 늘어났으며, 토양에 비해 종의 변화는 크지 않음을 확인할 수 있었다. Standing column well (SCW) heat pump system produces geothermal energy by the heat exchange of the groundwater. If SCW system changed the temperature of soil and groundwater, it could also change species or population of microorganisms. Therefore it is needed to research about the effect of temperature change on microorganisms to use eco-friendly geothermal energy. We produced the simulative heat pump system (SHPS) and observed the change of the soil temperature in SHPS. Characteristic analysis of microorganisms isolated from soil was performed and groundwater temperature variation was evaluated. Also the bleeding effect in SHPS was investigated and the results are included. As the results, the population of microorganisms was increased about 90%, as the groundwater temperature increased 2-3 celsius degree. However the species of microorganism was little influenced by the temperature change of the soil.

Defining the relationship between the quality of injection molded parts and the process condition is very complicate because of lots of factor are involved and each factor has a non-linearity. With the development of CAE(Computer Aided Engineering) technology, the estimation of volumetric shrinkage of injection mold parts is possible by computer simulation even though restricted application. In this research, the Taguchi method and Neural Network applied for finding optimal processing condition. The percent of volumetric shrinkage compared on each case and show neural network can be successfully applied.

괘속조형기술과 고속가공을 이용한 단납금형 개발에 대한 연구

The speed at which products are developed and released to market is tightly linked to profitability and market share. Hence, many companies are still in a desperate need of real Rapid Tooling (RT) technologies which can really help to expedite their prototype tooling and pre -production tooling for injection molding. Many other companies that have been very skeptical of RT technologies developed so far are working on Hybrid Tooling (HT) that can really meet the market standards. With the conviction that HT can be a reliable alternative for current RT technologies, this paper describes the experimentation how HT process has been being successfully established and effectively applied with typical case studies. Through the experimentation, Ceramic-filled HT was found to be aptly suited for the low grade mold, and Metal HT was found to be aptly suited for the medium volume mold both in terms of the lead time, dimensional accuracy, and tooling cost.
