        The flow rate of the fluid flowing in a porous membrane tube decreases as the fluid flows out through the wall of the tube. In order to find out the relationships between the flow velocity, pressure and the permeate flow rate, we considered the membrane as a linear porous tube with constant diameter and set the mass balance with the fluids and the permeates for each unit length. On this basis, the systems of nonlinear second order differential equations are derived for the entire porous tube. Since these equations are nonlinear, Gauss-Siedel method or the numerical method for the nonlinear differential equations must be used to solve the system. Since the flow rate of the permeate is varied with the operating condition such as the pressure, the solutions of the equations are achieved at each condition, using the numerical integration methods such as the Simpson's rules. In order to analyze and compare simulation results, we have performed the practical experiments using the porous tubular membranes with the constant diameter. The computer simulation and the experimental results are presented to illustrate the scope of this work.

        Ⅰ. The aim of this study A. To examine whether the directives of the physical education facilities issued by the Ministry of Education are, in terms of items and their quantities, pertinent to carrying out the physical education curriculums. B. To check whether tsudents are making the best use of the facilities already installed or equipped. C. To find out how often the present facilities are utilized and what kinds of new facilities would meet students' desire. It is the purpose of this study to clarify the questions about the standardization of the physical education facilities by scrutinizing the above mentioned items. Ⅱ. The method of reserch A. In comparison with the directives of physical education facilities B. Check up on the frequency of use of the materials 1. Survey of the frequency of use of the materials 2. Spot check of the frequency of use of the materials C. Survey of the materials students want to be provided with 1. Inquiry about whether students want to increase the number of the facilities which are already in use. 2. In quiry about whether they want new facilities Ⅲ. Conclusion and proposition A. It is reasonable to say that the directives of the physical education facilities must be established in accordance with the physical education curriculum. As "recreation" is shown in the different column of the curriculum, facilites for the physical education must be devided into two categories: the essential materials which must be provided by all means and the materials which are encouraged to be provided B. As shown in the survey questionnaire about the frequency of use of the materials in hand and the spot check on the same item in regard with their quantity stated in the directives of physical education facilities, primary schools need more facilities for games.

        난치성 전두엽 간질의 외과적 치료

        Recent advances of neuroimaging and electrophysiological monitoring technique have contributed in improving the surgical outcome of frontal lobe epilepsy. The authors have analysed 36 consecutive cases of intractable frontal lobe epilepsy that were treated at our institute between September. 1992 and December, 1995 to determine the clinical, electrophysiological, and neuroimaging characteristics as well as to delineate the efficacy of surgical treatment in improving the seizure outcome. The patients consisted of 19 males and 17 females. The mean age of the seizure onset and the mean duration of epilepsy were 14.9 and 11.6 years, respectively. Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) showed no lesion in 9 patients and pathological lesions in 27 patients. The types of the lesions observed included primary brain tumor, mostly low-grade glioma in 10 patients, cortical dysplasia in 4, posttraumatic scar in 4, neocortical gliosis in 3, cyst in 3, and postencephalitic atrophy in 3. Intracranial recordings were performed in 23 cases to determine the epileptogenic zone. The surgical outcome was graded according to Engle’s Classification as Class A in 20 patients. Class B in 2, Class C in 9, and Class D in 5. The surgical outcome was promising regardless of the presence or the absence of the lesion on MRI, invasive recording, age of seizure onset, and duration of epilepsy.

      • 製紙工程에서 分離한 슬라임 形成細菌의 最適 生長條件 探索

        The eight bacteria isolated from paper­making process were tested under the condition of 30℃, 35℃, 40℃ with pH 5, 7, 9. The growth of Pseudomonas paucimobilis B was the most excellent at 30℃ with pH 7. Staphylococcus sapropyticus was very good at 35℃ with pH 7 and pH 9. Pseuomonas cepacia generally grew well at every pH condition except for 40℃, pH 9. Acinetobactor calcoaceticus was excellent at 35℃ with pH 7 and at 30℃ with pH 9. Actinobacillus capsulatus showed the good growth in every tested condition except for pH 5 of 35℃, 40℃. The unidentified sprain was very good at 35℃ with pH 7 and pH 9. Staphylococcus auricularis had a unique growth pattern at pH 9 at every tested temperature condition. Acidovorax sp. was good at pH 7 and pH 9 of 30℃, 35℃, 40℃. This isolated bacteria generally showed good growth at pH 7 of 35℃, 40℃.

        Enzymatic hydrolysis of wood is the reaction to produce glucose from wood using enzyme which derives from microorganism. Glucose can be transferred easily to ethanol by fermentation. Ethanol is the starting meterial for producing acetone, butanol, citric acid and lactic acid. The mechanism of the enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose are reasonably explained in terms of the sequential action of three different types of enzymes, endo-cellulase, exo-cellulase, and β-glucosidase. The goal of this work was to investigate the cellulose hydrolysis pretreated polar with various concentration NaOH, the crystallinity of cellulose, lignin contents and the degree of hydrolysis.

      • 마우스에 있어서 Isoniazid와 Rifampicin의 免疫毒性에 對한 酒精 및 高麗人蔘의 影響

        結核의 一般的인 藥物療法으로 利用되고 있는 Isonicotinic acid hydrazide(INAH)와 Rifampicin의 倂用投與는 結核의 治療效果를 改善시킬 수 있는 反面에 INAH와 Rifampicin의 長期 倂用投與가 肝毒性과 免疫抑制作用을 出現시킨다고 報告된 바 있다. 한편 酒精의 長期間 暴露는 肝毒性과 T-lymphocyte 機能抑制 및 體液性 免疫에 손상을 가져 온다고 알려진 바 있고 高麗人蔘은 細胞性 및 體液性 免疫 修飾作用이 있으며 特히 石油 ether 分劃은 그 作用이 强하여 細胞性 및 體液性 免疫 macrophage의 活性 등을 현저하게 亢進시킨다고 本人 等이 밝힌 바 있다. 本 硏究의 結果 INAH와 Rifampicin 倂用投與時 이들 藥物에 의한 免疫 毒性에 對하여 酒精및 高麗人蔘을 倂用하였을 때 INAH와 Rifampicin은 細胞性 및 體液性 免疫을 低下시켰으며 酒精의 倂用投與는 免疫 毒性을 增加하였으나 高麗人蔘의 倂用投與는 細胞性 및 體液性 免疫과 大食細胞의 活性을 增加시킴을 밝혔다. 1. Rifampicin and INAH exposure decreased relative spleen weight, humoral and cellular immune responses and macrophage activity. 2. Alcohol combined administration significantly increased the cellular immunotoxicity of Rifampicin and INAH. Especially, 4% alcohol combined administration significantly suppressed the cellular immune response and macrophage activity. 3. Generally, Korean ginseng extracts reduced or removed the decline of humoral and cellular immune responses and macrophage activity by immunotoxicity of Rifampicin and INAH.

      • 再生펄프를 利用한 카르복시메틸셀룰로오스의 製造(Ⅱ) : CMC의 物性 測定 Physical Charateristic of CMC

        Carboxymethylation of recycled pulp was investigated. For both recycled pulp and dissolving pulp was carboxymethylated by the organic solvent method and tested some industrial analyses, water solubles content, low concentration of NaCl solution solubles and acid hydrolysis. The water solubles content depend on degree of substitution, and low concentration of NaCl did not affected solubilities of the CMC. Prehydrolysis of CM groups prior to reaction with L­cystein, we can obtain the residual unsubstitued anhydroglucose(USAG). The lower amount of USAG in recycled pulp, compared to theorecal data, was suggested that the recycled pulp should obtain the more CM group in the same conditions.
