        The effect of neuropeptides on secretion of Interleukin-8(IL-8)

        본 연구는 치수조직, 치은, 치주인대로부터 배양된 조직을 SP (Substance P)로 4시간, SP, CGRP (Calcitonin Gene-related Peptide), Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)로 8시간 자극 후 RNase Protection Assay를 시행하고, IL-8의 분비량을 측정해 다음 결과를 얻었다. 1. IL-8 mRNA는 모든세포에서 발현됐다. 2. IL-8 mRNA 발현은 SP (10^(-5)M)와 SP (10^(-8)M)로 4시간 자극 시 증가되지 않았다. 3. IL-8 mRNA 발현은 SP (10^(-4)M)와 CGRP (10^(-6)M)로 8시간 자극 시 증가되지 않았다. 4. TNF-α (2 ng/㎖) 자극 시, IL-8 mRNA 발현이 증가됐다. 5. 치은 세포를 CGRP (10^(-6)M)로 8시간 자극 시, IL-8 분비량이 증가했다 (p < 0.05). 6. 치주인대 세포를 SP (10^(-4)M)로 8시간 자극 시 IL-8 분비량이 증가했다 (p < 0.05). We investigated the secretion of Interleukin-8 (IL-8) from ginviva and periodontal ligament stimulated with Substance P (SP) and Calcitonin Gene-related Peptide (CGRP). Gingiva (GF), periodontal ligament (PDLF) and pulp (PF) tissues were collected from extracted instact 3rd molars. Cultured cells were stimulated with different concentrations of SP for 4 hrs, and stimulated with SP, CGRP and Tumor Necrosis Factor-α (TNF-α) for 8 hrs. Then RNase Protection Assay was carried out. ELISA was performed using supernatants of stimulated cells for quantitative analysis of IL-8. Results were assessed using supernatants of stimulated cells for quantitative analysis of IL-8. Results were assessed using student t-test with significance of P < 0.05. According to this study, the results were as follows: 1. IL-8 mRNA was detected in all type of cells studied (PF, GF and PDLF). 2. IL-8 mRNA expression was not increased after stimulating 4 hrs with SP (10^(-5)M) and SP (10^(-8)M) compared with Mock stimulation in all type of cells studied. 3. IL-8 mRNA expression was not increased after stimulating 8 hrs with SP (10^(-4)M) and CGRP (10^(-6)M) compared with Mock stimulation in all type of cells studied. 4. TNF-α (2 ng/㎖) increased the expression of IL-8 mRNA in all kind of cells studied. 5. The secretion of IL-8 from GF was increased 8 hrs after the stimulation with CGRP (10^(-6)M) (p < 0.05). 6. The secretion of IL-8 from PDLF was increased 8 hrs after the stimulation with SP (10^(-4)M) (p < 0.05). Calcitonin Gene-related Peptide (CGRP) increased Interleukin-8 (IL-8) which plays an important role in chemotaxis of neutrophil in Calcitonin Gene-related Peptide (CGRP) gingival tissue, whereas Substance P increased the secretion of IL-8 from periodontal ligament.

        전통시장 시설현대화사업이 전통시장 활성화에 미치는 영향 분석

        After full opening of distribution market in 1996, its competitiveness was lost and declined due to the emergence of a variety of distribution types, change of customers consumption habits, and purchase patterns. Therefore, Korean government began to support the modernization projects of traditional markets through the establishment of law for the activation of existing traditional markets. In this regard, this study attempts to diagnose the problems of facility modernization projects through substantial and concrete effect analysis on facility modernization projects to provide the activation methods effectively. To achieve this goal, we analyzed the overall satisfaction and substantial effect of facility modernization projects for traditional markes by carrying out questionnaire surveys on merchants at Jun-gang Yudeung Market in Jinju. As a result of questionnaire survey, customers were generally satisfied with the facility modernization project, the market environment was improved and the customer numbers and sales amount which show the actual improvement also increased after implementing the projects. Also, it was proved that customer numbers and the sales amount after the facility modernization project of traditional markets increased and the degree in the increase was low level of 5~20%. Therefore, it was analyzed that sub-project items of the facility modernization project, which have a significant effect on the activation of traditional markets, had a low level of influence.

        Nowadays, the agricultural products trade system is changing rapidly because the condition of farming trade system is undergoing a change quickly. Since 1996 trade market was opened completely, so many multinational foreign enterprises are advancing our domestic market. These new trade enterprises are looking for marketing strategy that treat agricultural products strategically. So whole agricultural products system are changing fast. Finally it affects not only trade but also production parts. And then I'll analyze the participation condition of products trade according to the agricultural products marketing changes and its changing prospect. Moreover the countermeasure has to have trademind as a producer of products, and recognize the stability of goods to satisfy the standard of consumer. At last, producer community should develop business positively to raise the power of the marketing negotiation and should have a information about the trade change.

        This paper presents a method for calculating contact force of any shaped rigid bodies on plane. Every integration time step, the proposed method finds expected contact point on their outlines and then calculates penetration and contact force. This paper is using the continuous analysis method to calculate contact force. To get the accurate expected contact point on their outlines the new algorithm is developed. Through the comparison with DADS, we can prove the accuracy of the proposed algorithm.

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of Soccer playing in Plasma Lipids in Elementary Obesity Student. Subject for this study were consisted of 16 male(exercise group : 8, non-exercise group : 8), who were over 25% of body fat. Exercise group played soccer 3 times per week, one time was 90 minutes. Weight, % body fat, total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, triglyceride, c-ratio were measured at three time periods before exercise begin, and 5 and 8 weeks. The results were summarized as follow: Exercise group decreased significantly more than non-exercise group about weight, % body fat, total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, triglyceride, c-ratio. And Exercise group increased significantly more than non-exercise group about high density lipoprotein cholesterol. In conclusion, the regular aerobic exercise(soccer playing) for 10 weeks has great effects on control of serum lipid which is related to the increase well-being(reduced coronary heart disease, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, obesity et all.) in elementary obesity male student.

        양극성 장애 1형에서 종양괴사인자 베타 유전자 다형성

        Objectives : Bipolar disorder is known to have a high genetic predisposition. Recently, the main focus of etiologic studies in bipolar disorder has been concentrated on molecular genetic approach including gene polymorphism analysis. The present study was conducted to investigate whether TNFB polymorphism is associated with bipolar I disorder in the Korean population. Methods : 89 bipolar I disorder patients diagnosed by DSM-IV criteria were assigned as the patient group and 202 normal population, matched on age and sex from Catholic hemopoietic stem cell bank (Seoul, Korea), were enrolled as the control group in this study. Genotyping was performed by a polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism method. All data was analyzed by x² test. Results : There were no significant differences in frequency of TNFB*1/1,TNFB*1/2 and TNFB*2/2 between bipolar I disorder patient group and normal control group. The frequency of TNFB*1 was not statistically different between bipolar I disorder patient group and normal control group. Conclusion : The difference of frequency in TNFB*1/TNFB*2 gene between the bipolar I disorder gropup and the normal contro1 could not be verified. The present result suggested that the gene polymorphism of TNFB may not play a significant role in susceptibility to bipolar I disorder. Studies with a larger number of subjects from different ethnic backgrounds, considring clinical phenotype and controlling various factors, should be launched to further determine the role of TNFB in bipolar I disorder.

        동합금의 생물학적 친화성에 대한 연구

        The rise in the cost of gold was lead to use base metal alloy instead of using gold alloy which was known to be most biocompatible. But these base metal alloys are too hard and have low biocompatibility compared to gold alloy. Especially, nickel allergy & hypersensitivity came to be a problem, so use of these alloys is needed to take a careful consideration. In addition, copper alloy has been used in dentistry until now because of giving a golden color but it has lower castability and higher solubility in the oral environment compared to gold alloy. Many reports also have been made on the high toxicity of copper alloy, which revealed the inadequate dental uses of copper alloy. Recently, NPG copper alloy (Alba Dent Co., U.S.A.) have been introduced in Korea. This study was done cell toxicity test (Agar overlay test) and tarnish test in artificial saliva for 30 days and in 5% Na₂S solution for 13 days for 3 gold alloys, a Ag-Pd alloy, and NPG copper alloy. The results were as followed; 1. NPG copper alloy indicated zone index 3 and lysis index 5 in agar overlay test, which revealed high toxicity compared to gold or silver alloys. 2. In tarnish test, contrast to a small color change of gold and silver alloys, NPG copper alloy had a striking color change, 1st day in artificial saliva indicated 2 degree, 30th day in artificial saliva indicated 4 degree and in 5% Na₂S solution, extreme color change of 5 degree showed even on the 1st day.
