<P>The objective of the study was to examine changes of intraocular pressure (IOP) undergoing anesthesia in Rhesus Macaques (Macaca mulatta) with Laser-induced Ocular Hypertension. Twenty male rhesus macaques (hypertensive glaucoma eye in OD; normal eye in OS) between 6 and 20 years of age were used for the study. The monkeys were anesthetized with ketamine hydrochloride (10 mg/kg intramuscularly) and 1% isoflurane, and then IOP in both eyes was measured by a single investigator using a calibrated Tonopen(TM) applanation tonometer (Mentor, Norwell, MA, U.S.A.). The mean IOP with ketamine anesthesia was 36.70 12.04 (right eye: OD) and 15.88 2.84 (left eye: OS). The mean IOP with isoflurane anesthesia was 19.98 6.67 (right eye: OD) and 15.32 2.15 (left eye: OS). Undergoing isoflurane anesthesia, the IOP of OD was significantly decreased. Conclusively, careful examination of IOP is required to prevent unexpected contraindication on glaucoma patient with isoflurane anesthesia.</P>

Homogeneous low pressure cold plasma glow discharge was used for both boehmite to gamma aluminatransformation as well as for catalytic CO2 conversion into methane. Novel plasma-assisted boehmite transformation into alumina was successfully achieved at lowertemperature (80 C less) and shorter period of time (1 h less) than the classical transformation. Thefinalalumina structure properties were improved. The mechanism of the novel plasma-assisted boehmitetransformation was addressed. Nickel alumina porous extrudate preparation was optimized and fullycharacterized. The amounts of binder and nitric acid used during the preparation of extrudates werestudied. The concentration of nitric acid presented a major role in the catalytic properties of thesecatalysts leading to the improvement of the active phase dispersion and reducibility. As a result, methaneyield was also improved with support acidity. A simulation study was performed in order to evaluate theinfluence of the extrudates dimensions on the pressure developed inside the reactor and on the glowdischarge stability. It was demonstrated by simulation the need of shaping the nickel alumina catalystsfor allowing the generation of a stable plasma discharge through the catalytic bed. Plasma-assisted CO2hydrogenation under partial vacuum was carried out using the optimized nickel alumina extrudates. Formulation of efficient nickel alumina porous extrudates is provided for plasma or even industrial CO2methanation reactors.
Tumor-like lymphoplasmacytic conjunctivitis in the third eyelid in a dog

This report aims to describe a case of tumor-like lymphoplasmacytic conjunctivitis in a 7-year-old spayed-female Pomeranian. On complete ophthalmic examination, a mass with papillary projections was noted on the bulbar surface of the right third eyelid. Debulking of the mass was performed while preserving as much of the third eyelid as possible. On the histopathological examination, the mass was diagnosed as lymphoplasmacytic conjunctivitis with mild epithelial hyperplasia. Although a slight regrowth of the mass was noted 3 weeks after surgery, intralesional injection of triamcinolone acetonide led to its disappearance. There was no further recurrence after 5 months.

A 6-year-old intact male Maltese dog presented with a history of blindness and ataxia. Neuro-ophthalmic examination revealed dilated pupils with absent pupillary light reflexes and menace response in both eyes. Mild peripapillary edema was noted in the fundus of the right eye. After magnetic resonance imaging, the dog was provisionally diagnosed with meningoencephalitis of unknown etiology. Follow-up funduscopy was performed to monitor the condition of the optic discs for three years. Despite of the treatment with prednisolone, the optic nerve progressed to atrophy and the dog couldn't restore vision.

This paper provides results of feasibility study of time domain passivity approach for bilateral teleoperation of mobile manipulator. Mobile manipulator in this study is a manipulator mounted on mobile platform. We consider bilateral teleoperation system in which human-operator sequentially controls speed of mobile platform (rate mode) or position of manipulator via manipulating haptic master device. Force feedback is transmitted to human-operator based on physical interaction of manipulator end-effector with remote environment. Time-domain passivity has been successfully applied to teleoperation systems in which position of master robot was mapped to position of slave robot. In this paper attempt of application of time-domain passivity control for rate and position control of mobile manipulator is presented. Timedomain passivity application issues are described and analyzed. Experimental results showed possibility of application of time-domain passivity control for rate control in certain range.

This study investigates the friction of the roll stands in the high performance multi- holes slate fin machine which pin is using in heat transfer of radiator, oil cooler, inter cooler, condenser and evaporator. The roll stand part is very important to maintain the high performance fin machine. This multi-holes form roll type is the first time in our country so it will be helpful to increases the export and product of heat transfer. It was include the technical of form rolling system which was self development. Then it will be improve the electric home appliances, future motor vehicle device and industrial machine.

Our teeth was one of the most important internal organ, Whenever we chewing the food and drink something our teeth undergo various influences on the wearing. In this study we tested the gold alloy dental prosthesis in several lubricant- cola, soju, coffee, toothpaste and milk of the various speed and load conditions. In case of the toothpaste the friction coefficient was very lower and the coffee was the worst in the wearing.
