In this paper, the transmitted noise reduction of piezoelectric smart panels is experimentally studied. The proposed piezoelectric smart panels are comprised of plate structure on which piezoelectric sensor/actuators are bonded and sound absorbing material and/or gap are provided. It is a combination of passive and active approaches utilizing a passive effect at high frequencies and active effect at low frequencies. To prove the concept of piezoelectric smart panels, and acoustic measurement experiment is performed. An acoustic tunnel is designed and its acoustic characteristics are tested. Below 800㎐, the tunnel exhibits a plane wave guide characteristics. When an absorbing material is bonded on a single plate, a remarkable transmitted noise reduction in mid frequency range is observed except the first resonance frequency. By enabling the active control of smart single panel, much noise reduction is achieved at the resonance frequencies. The smart double panel has more potential to reduction the transmitted noise in wide range frequency. Piezoelectric smart panels incorporating passive absorbing material and active piezoelectric devices is a promising technology for noise reduction in a wide range frequency.

This paper presents semi-active ER damper for a passenger car. Damping performance of ER damper is evaluated with respect to the temperature variation and operating cycle. An appropriate size of the ER damper for a passenger car is proposed to investigate the effects of those Bingham characteristics on the damping performance. The ER damper is designed and manufactured on the basis of Bingham model of the ER fluids. The field-dependent damping forces are evaluated according to the temperature variation. The damping forces with mechanically operated ER fluids are also predicted from Bingham model. Finally, the damping force is tested up to half million cycles to validate the estimated damping force and also to demonstrate superior durability characteristics of employed ER fluids as well as mechanical emchanism of the ER damper.

Copolyesters containing oxybenzoate as a rigid rod molecule and methylene group and dimethyl tetramethyl disiloxane as flexible spacers were prepared by room temperature solution polymerization for the purpose of the developement of polymeric composite materials. The thermal properties and the characteristics of the polymers were investigated by DSC and a polarizing microscope. The polymers may be formed nematic liquid crystal phase, and the thermodynamic characteristics of their mesophase to isotropic phase transition could be explained on the basis of its structural features.
하악골 시상 절단술 후 하악과두 장축각의 변화 및 회귀성향에 관한 논문

In sagittal split osteotomy as well as in vertical osteotomy for reduction of mandible, wire and bone screw osteosynthesis has been used. Relapse after sagittal split ramus osteotomy was well documented in many studies. Most of these studies, however, associated with cases which were fixed by transosseous wiring technique. For that reason, relapse rates after sagittal split osteotomy were reported to be reasonably high. Author studied of 20 patients who treated with bilateral · sagittal split ramus osteotomies. For reuction of mandible, stable osteosynthesis with tandem-screw was accompanied with IMF for 3 to 5 days. Author took the serial radiograph before and immediate post operative, postoperative 6 months. Author analysis 5 angular measurement and 4 linear measurement that was used to find out the amount of change in condyle position. According to the final analysis, minimal change was found in condylar position using thandem-screw fixation at postoperative 6 months. Resultly autuor s study indicates resistance against relapse with using tandem-screw fixation after sagittal split ramus osteotomy.

This is a comparative study where we compare simulation results with model examining the time and direction the fire spreads when it breaks out. Also there is vertical distribution of temperature in carriage where the fire spreads out. This study is about demonstrating how to establish smokeless system in urban vehicle, about its necessity, and about vehicle system restructuring. This study also makes an effort to find more advanced method for efficient fire safety in trains. In existing vehicles, in case of fire, the smoke can"t go out when doors are closed and hence it spreads in whole train. Even though the method of using ventilation or exhaust established inside the carriage to throw smoke out is much better than the way of opening end doors in each carriage, this study is trying to do research on second way. Through simulation we see that in second case, even though not as good as the first one, smoke can exit through gates. Even though the first method is better, the second can also be uses to let fire out. We can know that in the first case as the smoke can exit out faster, it provides more safety for people. So this system provides better fire safety condition.

<P>Processing additives have been widely utilized for high-performance organic bulk-heterojunction (BHJ) photovoltaic devices. However, the role of processing additives remained unclear due to the limited information relying on the final BHJ film state rather than the intermediate film state during solvent evaporation. Here, by using<I>in situ</I>GIWAXS measurements on the intermediate BHJ film, we propose a possible phase separation mechanism in efficient BHJ solar cells consisting of a narrow band gap polymer (P1) and PC71BM<I>via</I>the use of 1-chloronaphthalene (1-CN) as a processing additive. We found that adding small amounts of an additive, 1-CN, with a high boiling point and a high PC71BM solubility can prolong the solvent evaporation time and dissolve many PC71BM molecules, promoting the strong P1 polymer:solvent and PC71BM:solvent interaction to produce pure domains of each component. Thus, the bi-continuous networks for both P1 and PC71BM and their enlarged interfacial area are well fabricated in the BHJ films, inducing balanced photo-charge carrier densities for the electrons and holes and improving the overall photovoltaic performance. Therefore, our findings elucidate the kinetic motions of two organic phases affected by the physical properties of the solvents in the process of film formation and establish criteria for BHJ systems.</P>
Denitrification Characteristics and Microorganism Composition of Acclimated Denitrifier Consortium

The effect of the COD/N ratio on denitrifcation characteristics was evaluated for the development of a denitrification process. Activated sludge, acclimated to an anoxic condition, was used as the denitrifier consortium (mixture of denitrifying organisms) for enhanced nitrogen removal in a recirculating aquarium system. Synthetic wastewater containing nitrate was used as the influent solution and glucose was used as the carbon source for denitrification. The COD/N ratio varied within a range of 1.5-7.2. The denitrification efficiency was higher than 97% even at a COD/N ratio of 1.5. Under a theoretical COD/N ratio of 3.0, nitrite was detected, however, the amount was less than 1% of the total influent nitrogen. The number of both nitrate-reducing bacteria and denitrifying bacteria reached 3.5×10 exp (5)/㎖ with a COD/N ratio of 1.5 after 45 days of operation.
