Micro wires manufactured by the straightening process are used in the BT(Bio-Technology), IT(Information-technology), NT(Nano-Technology). We have developed a novel wire straightener which uses the direct heating method(DHM) for straightening the micro wire and shearing device for burr-less cutting. In this study, we confirm the tendency of micro wire after the shearing process. It is impossible to remove the burr in the shearing process. However, the embodiment of minimum burr size after the shearing process is the best in-process method. In order to minimize the burr size, we have accomplished the various experiment condition such as the U-groove, the effect of counter punch, the shear angle, clearance.
산불진화정보 관리를 위한 Mobile GIS 공간 데이터 압축기법 개발
조명희,이명보,이시영,김준범,권봉겸,허영진 한국지리정보학회 2004 한국지리정보학회지 Vol.7 No.2
Recently GPS and mobile GIS technologies based on LBS (location based service) have played an important role as DSS (decision supporting system) for domestic forest fire extinguishment policies. In this study forest fire extinguishments information management system based on mobile GIS technique was designed to seize the exact location on wireless network so that it helps to guide the safe and efficient extinguishments affairs and provide the extinguishments environment toward ground fighting teams and the central forest government in real time. Moreover, possibly to operate this system, the foundation technologies by the name of `. gci such as the spatial data compression method, the spatial data transmission method over wireless network and the spatial analysis interface on PDA should be mainly considered. Especially, in this study the spatial data compression method having high compression rate from 51% to 62% for each polygon, line, and point data, without the loss of data was developed.
Purification and Characterization of a 55kDa Sialoglycoprotein from Rat Liver Lysosomal Membranes

A sialoglycoprotein was purified to apparent homogeneity from rat liver lysosomal membranes with a 0.1% recovery by WGA-Sepharose 6B, Con A-Sepharose, and Hydroxylapatite chromatography, Superdex TM200 FPLC gel filtration, TSK-5PW FPLC DEAF-chromatogrphy, and preparative polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The purified sialoglycoprotein has a molecular mass of 55 kDa (LGP55), as determined by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis in the presence and absence of SDS. Susceptibility to neurnminidase and endoglycosidase H, and the immunoreactivity of the protein in tritosome membranes was examined in order to study the topology of the lysosomal membrane. The results suggest that LGP55 is an intact lysosomal membrane protein with oligosaccharide chains. The ten residues of the N-terminal of purified LGP55 are ; Ala-Leu-Gln-Val-Thr-Lys-Tyr-Glu-Asp-Gly.

The west coast of Korea is the largest habitat for finless porpoises, with approximately 36,000 individuals reported in 2005 (Park et al., 2007). To date, there have been no subsequent finless porpoise population estimates. However, in recent bycatches, finless porpoises accounted for the highest proportion of all cetaceans and have been reported to be most frequently caught on the west coast of Korea (Kim et al., 2013). The present study, conducted in 2011, enumerated finless porpoises inhabiting the west coast of Korea using a line transect survey in offshore and inshore regions to assess variations in their abundance. In offshore regions we found the population density of finless porpoises to be 0.122 ind./km2, whereas it was 0.565 ind./km2 in 2004. In inshore regions, the population density of finless porpoises was 0.151 ind./km2, whereas it was 0.638 ind./km2 in 2005. Therefore, we estimate that the population densities of finless porpoises in both offshore and inshore regions of the west coast of Korea decreased by approximately 70% between 2004/2005 and 2011. It is imperative to mitigate the bycatch of finless porpoises and protective action is urgently needed in the near inshore regions.

We estimated abundance of the finless porpoise Neophocaena asiaeorientalis in the west coast of Korea in 2011 and compared it to the abundance data estimated by Park et al. (2007). The two researches used same line transect method operated by a vessel, and the study area were divided into the offshore and the inshore regions to assess variations in their abundance. In offshore regions population density of finless porpoises was $0.122ind./km^2$, which was lower than $0.565ind./km^2$ estimated in 2004. In inshore regions the population density was $0.151ind./km^2$, which was much lower than $0.638ind./km^2$ estimated in 2005. Thus, we estimate that the population densities of the finless porpoises in both the offshore and the inshore regions of the west coast of Korea has decreased by approximately 70% between 2004/2005 and 2011.

A mass mortality of 249 finless porpoises Neophocaena asiaeorientalis occurred in the Saemangeum Dyke in February 2011. It was an extraordinary event, notable due to the death toll and the location of the occurrence, a semi-isolated lake enclosed by a man-made structure. We conducted sighting surveys that consisted of a land-based sighting survey recorded from three different platforms, and a ship-based sighting survey in the lake. The land-based survey was dedicated to clarifying the distribution of finless porpoises and whether they passed through two water gates (Shinsi and Garyek) of the dyke from 2011 to 2013. No finless porpoises were observed in the 2011 or January 2012 surveys. In April 2012, two months and one year after the mass mortality, one finless porpoise, swimming 400 m from the Shinsi water gate, was observed by a land-based survey. The number of observed individuals increased to nine in 2012 and reached 10 by May 2013 at the time of the surveys. Most of the porpoises were detected near the Garyek water gate. The density of the animals was 0.075/km2 in 2012 and 0.083/km2 in 2013. The density of porpoises was 2.063/km2 at the time of the mass mortality.
