A new species of the genus Cybaeus L. Koch, 1868(Araneae : Cybaeidae) from Korea

굴뚝거미속(Cybaeus)의 新種을 記載한다. 굴뚝거미속은 굴뚝거미科(Cybaeidae)에 속하는 거미로써 우리나라에서는 지금까지 5種이 報告되어 왔으나 이 新種의 추가로 다음 6種이 된다. In the present paper, the authors describe one new species of the family Cybaeidae from Korea, named Cybaeus cappa sp. nov. This specimen is deposited at the Joo-Pil Spider Museum, Namyangju-Si, Kyunggi-Do.

Determination of the optimum porosity for 2‑CEES adsorption by activated carbon fiber from various precursors

In this study, we prepared ACFs with a high specific surface area from various precursors (rayon, pitch, and oxidized polyacrylonitrile-based fibers) by a steam-activation technique and investigated the effects of the micropore and mesopore fraction on 2-CEES adsorption behaviors. The activation time was precisely controlled so that the activation yield was in the range of 35–40% to ensure the mechanical properties of the ACFs. The N2 adsorption isotherm characteristics at 77K were confirmed by Brunauer–Emmett–Teller, Barrett–Joyner–Halenda and non-local density functional theory equations. The adsorption capacities of the ACF were measured by breakthrough experiments in the gas phase (750 μg/mL of 2-CEES in N2 flow). The removal efficiency of the ACFs was evaluated and compared with that of AC. From the results, specific surface areas and total pore volume of the ACF were determined to be 1380–1670 m2/g and 0.61–0.82 cm3/g, respectively. It was also observed that various pore characteristics of ACF were found to be dependent on crystallite structure of each precursor. The break through time (C/C0 = 0.10) was in the order of Oxi-Pan-H-9-2 < Saratoga AC < Rayon-H-9-3 < Pitch-H-9-4. This indicates that 2-CEES adsorption capacity could be a function not only of specific surface area or total pore volume, but also of sub-mesopore volume fraction in the range of 1.5–2.5 nm of adsorbents.

2014년 8월 5일부터 7일까지 경상남도 창녕군 일대에 위치한 대한민국 최대의 내륙 습지인 우포늪 일대를 한국거미연구회 회원(김주필, 예용택, 장지현, 오종화, 예성훈, 유혜성, 채준호, 김태우, 김민섭, 변진관, 성민규, 김지후, 김대희, 김녕, 이정준, 이형민 등 16명)들이 채집 조사한 결과 16과 48속 69종의 거미가 조사 연구되어 이에 보고하는 바이다. The authors investigated the spiders of the Upo wetland from 5th August to 7th August, 2014. In the present paper 69 species of 48 genera belong to 16 families were identified. These specimens are deposited at the Joo-Pil Spider Museum, Namyangju-Si, Kyunggi-Do.

치차로스의 <시적인 순간> 중 ‘철새’, ‘블루스 왈츠’, ‘나비 래그타임’, ‘서부기차’ 분석 및 교수법적 제안

치차로스(Christos Tsitsaros, b. 1961)는 미국 일리노이 대학교의 피아노 교수학과 교수이며, 피아노 교육용 작품을 많이 작곡하였다. 본 논문은 국내에 잘 알려지지 않은 그의 작품에 대한 정보를 제공하고 한정된 레퍼토리의 선택지를 넓히는데 기여하고자 그의 교육용 피아노 작품인 <시적인 순간>에 나타난 음악적 특징을 살펴보았으며, 중급 학생들에게 효과적인 교수방법을 제시하였다. <시적인 순간>은 총 8곡으로 구성되어있으며 이 중 ‘철새’, ‘블루스 왈츠’, ‘나비 래그타임’, ‘서부기차’를 살펴보았다. ‘철새’는 편안하고 서정적이며 아르페지오와 당김음 페달 교육에 효과적이다. ‘블루스 왈츠’는 불분명한 조성감으로 몽환적 분위기를 자아내며 리듬적 유연함을 배울 수 있다. ‘나비 래그타임’은 스윙 리듬과 다양한 아티큘레이션의 표현을 공부할 수 있다. ‘서부기차’는 빠르고 긴장감을 유발하는 곡으로 다양한 페달의 사용을 습득할 수 있다. 이 곡들은 길이가 짧고 단순하며, 다양한 음악양식과 재즈적인 요소를 지니고 있어 중급 학생들이 흥미롭게 학습할 수 있다. 본 논문을 통해 더 많은 교육용 레퍼토리가 확대되고 그의 교육용 피아노 작품들에 대한 관심과 연구가 이어지길 기대한다. Christos Tsitsaros(b. 1961) is a Professor of Piano Pedagogy at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, IL in the United States, and has composed many educational piano pieces. On the purpose of providing information on his compositions, which are not well known in Korea, and contributing to expand educational piano repertoire, this article examines the musical features of his < Poetic Moments > and suggests effective teaching methods for intermediate level students. < Poetic Moment > consists of a total of 8 character pieces: ‘Migrating Birds’, ‘Blues Valsette’, ‘Butterfly Rag’, and ‘Westbound Train’ among them were investigated. ‘Migrating Birds’ is easy to listen, lyrical and effective for polishing arpeggio skills and syncopated pedaling. ‘Blues Valsette’ creates a dreamy atmosphere with complex harmonies and students may learn rhythmic flexibility. ‘Butterfly Rag’ employs swing rhythm and diverse articulations. ‘Westbound Train’ has fast running tempo increasing tension and good for learning various pedaling. Each piece is short and simple attracting intermediate level students’ interest by conveying various musical styles and jazz elements. Through this article, I hope that more educational repertoire will be expanded and interest and research on Tsitsaros’ educational piano compositions will continue.

유아교육기관의 운영관리 및 유아기 프로그램 평가

This purposes of this study were to assess the state of current administration and program contents in early childhood institutes. Using APECP(Assessnt Profile for Early Childhood Programs), assesment data were gathered from 27 apprentices in child care centers and 6 apprentices in Kindergarten in Cheongju. Descriptive statistics and Mann-Whitney test were used to analyze data. The result were as follows : (1) The distribution of percentile rate in administration was from 55% to 78%, and the area of Program Development scored the lowest. The assessments for Kindergarten were higher than those of child care center in the areas of Physical Facility, Food Service, and Program Management. (2) As for the program contents, percentile rate was from 62% to 80%, and generally the assessments for Kindergarten were higher than those of child care center. It appears that the certification and assessment system for ealry childhood institutions should be supervised more strongly in order to improve the qulaity of those institutions.

NICOLAS SLONIMSKY의 51 Minitudes for Piano 에 관한 硏究

I have now studied the various kind of humors in music and Slonimsky's famous suite '51 Minitudes for Piano". And I have also learned many humorous devices in all musicale forms, mediums and categories. In conclusion of these studies, 1 now summarize as follows : 1. Many titles of pieces were used coined words or technical scientific terms and tried to describing the moods of titles. 2. The pieces were composed with simple forms and various kind of compositional techniques through the Medival Counterpoint to Twelve -Tone Row System. 3. Its comic usage in music showed very live and direct descriptions more than the musics before. 4. The suite has valuable works in music literature but lacks of the effects in etude and performance piece. Finally, 1 studied composer's extensive knowledges and humorous senses through the 51 pieces that contained all comedical devices in music.

국내 의료종사자에서 HHV-8의 항체양성률에 대한 연구

HHV-8 virus is known to be associated with Kaposi's sarcoma (KS) in HIV seropositive patients and its seroprevalence has geographic difference, In South Korea, incidence of KS is low not only in general population but also in HIV patients compared to other countries, It is speculated that low seroprevalence of HHV-8 has contributed to the low incidence of KS in South Korea. We examined the seroprevalence of anti HHV-8 IgG of HIV seronegative health care workers in one University hospital. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) was used for diagnosis. One person (0.6% 1/164) was seropositive, six were equivocal (3.7%,6/164) and 157 people were seronegative (95.73%, 157/164). This study revealed that seroprevalence of HHV-8 in general population was. low in South Korea. Further studies are needed to be carried out to evaluate the low HHV-8 seroprevalence in Korea.

약선 소재의 소비자 기호도 및 미생물학적 위해 분석

This study was conducted to examine consumer liking and to analysis the microbiological hazard of the 25 samples of medicinal herbs. The results of overall liking that was evaluated by 7 point likert-type scale were ordered as follows: Cassia tora (5.62), Nelumbinis folium (5.01), Cinnamoum zeylanicum nees (4.83), Poria cocos wolf (4.55), and Chrysanthemum indicurn (4.54). In addition, Total plate counts of Houttuynia cordata thumb (1.2×107 CFU/g) and Leonurus japonicas (1.9×106 CFU/g) were detected more than other samples. Moreover, the largest population distribution for coliforms was found Lumi cortex (7.1×105 CFU/g). Among the 25 samples, 32.0% of them did not contain coliforms. On the other hand, E. coli , Staphylococcus aureus, and Salmonella spp. were not detected in any samples. In conclusion, food manufacturers or developers should consider about safety of raw materials and consumer liking when they develop and make food containing medicinal herbs.

급식위생 개선방안에 대한 학교 영양사의 중요도 평가

The objectives of this study were to evaluate the importance of remedies for improvement of sanitation management by school dietitians and to compare dietitians' opinion about them with that of administrators'. A questionnaire survey was performed by 216 dietitians and 20 administrators, who were involved at shcool food service facilities in Daegu and Gyeongbuk. According to the results of the importance evaluation analysis on the remedies for improvement of sanitation management, there were significant differences between dietitians and administrators in the means of 3 items including "reinforcement of food service monitoring by parents", "self-operated management of food service operation", "improvement of food serving atmosphere". In all of them, the evaluation scores of administrators were significantly higher than those of dietitians. In addition, four factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis(operation and education, policy and support, supervision, and budget support sectors). According to the results of one-way ANOVA, operation and education sector showed significant differences across the number of meals served per day, and policy and support sector showed significant differences across occupation, and supervision sector showed significant differences across the number of meals served per day.
