        This paper aims at providing a concrete plan to improve technical and vocational teacher education in the College of Industrial Education of Chungnam National University. It is intended to propose a practical four-year regular and short-term course. Also, the estimated required facilities is included in this study as well as their management. The main conclusions and recommendations are summarized as follows; 1) The numbers of students enrollment should be reduced to 220 students which is the approximate number of future demand. 2) In order to offer to the students a broader education and to cope with the increase/decrease in demand of technical and vocational teacher within a specific field, the 8 department existing at the present (Department of Architecture Engineering Education, Civil Eng. Educ., Metallurgical Eng. Educ., Mechanical Eng. .Educ., Electrical Eng. Educ., Electronic Eng. Educ., Industrial Chemistry Educ. and Industrial Technology Educ.) would be combined into 5 (Department of Construction Engineering Education, Mechanical Eng. Educ., Electrical Eng. Educ., Industrial Chemistry Educ. and Industrial Technology Educ.). 3) The short-term course program is recommened to provide additional training and education to those candidates who already have experience in technical fields to meet an occasional demand. 4) It is necessary to add the Teaching Profession Section in the administrative organization of the College.

        중국 전통 원림에 나타난 경관 조형미에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to find out the components and the beauty of the landscape formation in the traditional Chinese garden. Firstly, the formal is divided into the aesthetic characteristics and the method. And the aesthetic characteristics is divided into the impression of the sense organ time and space, visual field and visual sense, and enjoying the landscape in motion and in motionless which both have the sense of beauty. The method of the landscape formation is divided into 11 ways-①a main landscape and a secondary landscape, ②deepening space and landscape by degrees, ③ framing the landscape, ④borrowing the landscape, ⑤pointing out the landscape with a horizontal inscribed boards, written on scrolls, etc, ⑥a landscape which is situated in the end of a visual axis or a visual line, ⑦a landscape which can not be seen directly by obstacles, ⑧a landscape by using things of both sides with a perspective line or with a visual axis, ⑨a landscape which is divided by walls, creating more space, ⑩seeing a landscape by open work window and the like, ⑪an additional landscape. Secondary, the latter is divided into 6 ways-①proportion and scale, ②balance on stable, ③contrast and harmony, ④rhythm, ⑤association by metaphors, ⑥a variety of unity.

        韓紙抄造用 粘液에 관한 硏究 : 第一報. 느릅나무根粘液의 糖類檢索 Part Ⅰ. Detection of Sugars in the Mucilage of Ulmus Coreana, Nakai Root

        느릅나무 粘液의 液性은 처음에는 中性이나 酸性으로 變한 다음 中性에 가까워지는 經時的 變化가 일어나며 粘液의 粘度低下는 黃蜀葵根 粘液 매우 緩慢하다. 또 이것은 遊離 還元糖을 含有하고 含量은 經時的으로 變化하여 처음에는 增加한 다음 急激하게 減少하며 糖含量과 粘度와의 사이에서 分明한 比例關係를 찾아볼 수는 없다. 糖類를 經詩的으로 分析한 結果 黃蜀葵根 粘液과는 달리 glucose 및 galacturonic acid等 2種의 糖類가 검출되었다. 그러나 粘質物의 加水分解 生成物에서 檢出된 糖類는 rhamnose, mannose, galactose, arabinose 그리고 galacturonic acid 等이며 黃蜀葵根 粘質物에서 檢出되었던 xylose는 檢出되지 아니하고 mannoserk 檢出되었다. The changes of hydrogen ton concentration, viscosity and free sugars in the water-soluble mucilage of Ulmus Coreana, Nakai root upon storage at 10℃ were studied, Hydrogen ion concentration in the mucilage changed pH7→pH4→pH6 or 7. The viscosity of mucilage decreased very slowly. The mucilage contained glucose and galacturonic acid. The hydrolyzed products of mucilage consisted of rhamnose, mannose, galactose, arabinose, xylose, glucose and galacturonic acid.

      • 韓紙抄造用 黃蜀葵根의 貯藏에 관하여

        The root of Abelmoschus Manihot, Medic extracts very much mucilage in the water. The mucilage of the root is important for producing Korean paper. The mucilaginous solution increase its volume and viscosity by hand pressing but decrease its viscosity by the influence of CO_2, air, mixer agitating, especially temperature. The root of Abelmoschus Manihot, Medic can keep its mucilaginous viscosity in winter because it does not change the viscosity in the low temperature, but it can not keep its viscosity in summer. So it needs special storage method by adding some antiseptics to defend diminution of the viscosity of the mucilage. In the preservation of the root, some antiseptic solution were tested for 7∼10 months. The antiseptic solutions are formaline, CuSO_4·5H_2O water solution, Na-PCP water solution, (NH_4)_2SO_4 water solution, cresol-soap solution and ethyl alcohol. CuSO_4·5H_2O water solution, Na-PCP water solution, ethyl alcohol, and Cresol-soap solution were effective in the preservation of the root, and formaline was most effective.

        Columella 缺損例의 成形外科的 治療 : 1例報告

        Columella defect is a noticable deformity which is seen following its loss secondary to injures, diseases, or surgical excisions. The reconstruction of the defect can be achieved by one of the following four methods as advocated by Converse in 1964, i.e. 1) the cervical tubes, 2) the forehead flaps, 3) the nasolabial flaps, and 4) the composite grafts. There is tendency for most surgeons to prefer the nasolabial flap method because of the lesser extend of resulting scar and deformities. Authors obtained a good result in correcting a columella defect from a chronic inflammatory disease in 27 years old woman. Vomerian and nasal tip flaps were employed to make a new columella and the resulting inner raw surface was covered with buccal mucous membrane of the upper lip. The pedicle of the mucosal flap was detached on 10th postoperative day.

        전신성 홍반성 루푸스에서 F-18 FDG PET상 기저핵 포도당대사 증가 소견을 보이는 무도병 1예 : Evidence for Bilateral Putaminal Hypermetabolism on F-18 FDG PET

        Purpose: We describe a 54-year-old woman with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) who suddenly presented with chorea and had positive antiphospholipid antibodies. F-18 FDG PET showed abnormally increased glucose metabolism in bilateral putamen and primary motor cotex. Tc-99m ECD SPECt also showed abnormally increased regional cerebral blood flow in bilateral putamen. She was treated with corticosteroid and aspirin after which the symptoms improved. Four months later, follow up F-18 FDG PET showed improvement with resolution of hypermetabolism in bilateral putamen. This case suggests that striatal hypermetabolism is associated with chorea in SLE.

        Embryo development is the most important time in the life of a multicellular organism because the limited cells of the embryo produce all the cells of the adult body. And transcription factors are transcriptional regulatory proteins that specifically bind to the transcriptional regulatory region DNA and activate or inhibit the transcription of that gene. It is change in the stage of embryo development that positions and levels of expression of transcription factors. Therefore, we know that transcription factors conduct vary crucial role in the stage of embryo development. So, if we could identify clearly changes of transcription factors, it can be very helpful in understanding the mechanism of embryo development. We experimented in transcription factors from GV oocyte to blastocyst how are expressed in porcine. We focused on especially pluripotency genes, which play an important role in early embryo development. So we conducted to immuno- staining using antibodies of Cdx2, Oct4, Sox2, Nanog, and E-Cadherin. Unfortunately we used mouse’s antibody because pig`s antibody against transcription factors did not exist. We checked five transcription factors (Cdx2, Oct4, Sox2, Nanog and E-Cadherin) in early embryo development in porcine. We found different expression patterns between mouse and pig in some stages. Therefore, we need to experiment that different patterns of transcription factors play a role in species, and why occur.

        The embryonic genome activation (EGA) is genetically activated states that embryos make the materials such as growth factors for using themselves. EGA is various because they have many materials, different site, different stage, also different species. At this time, transcription factors are expressed. Transcription factors bind to specific DNA region, and regulate the gene expression. Thus, we check the expression of transcription factors, we can know that embryo development is very well or not. The development stages of embryos are basically the stages from fertilization to blastocyst. So, we check the embryos oocyte to blastocyst. In our experiments, we focus the early developmental transcription factors such as Cdx2, Oct4, Sox2, Nanog and E-Cadherin. Above antibody factors showed different expression sites, and there were many differentiated parts from other animal species. In addition, we compared the SCNT and parthenogenetic activation (PA) because these are same methods using electrical activation among the embryo production methods. Our results showed not only similar patterns but also different patterns between pig and mouse. Therefore, we have to investigate that different patterns of transcription factors play a role in pigs, and why occur.

        Transcription factors play a very important role in the development of embryo. It is different for each growth stage that position and expression level of the transcription factor. Also, it is different pattern in species of mammals. So we thought that if we could well know the expression of the transcription factor in the stage of embryo development, it would be more benefit in embryo culture system. Because the stages of early embryo development are basically from oocyte to blastocyst, we checked transcription factors from oocyte to blastocyst how are expressed in pig. We focused on pluripotency genes, which play an important role in early embryo development, among the transcription factors. So we were conducted to immuno-staining using antibodies of CDX2, OCT4, SOX2, NANOG, and E-CADHERIN. Unfortunately we used mouse`s antibody because pig`s antibody against transcription factors did not exist. We identified five transcription factors (CDX2, OCT4, E-CADHERIN, NANOG, and SOX2) in early development of oocyte embryo development in pig. Our results showed not only similar patterns but also different patterns between pig and mouse. Therefore, we have to investigate that different patterns of transcription factors play a role in pigs, and why come out.
