        Physical therapists should understand motor control models and apply various models to evaluation and treatment of neurologically impaired patients, Thus, this paper reviews motor control models and applications in clinical settings. Assumptions and limitations of reflex models, hierarchical models, and systems models are presented. This paper also delineates goals and dissatisfaction of neurologic rehabilitation approaches for neurologically impaired patients. Muscle reeducation approach, neurotherapeutic facilitation approach, and contemporary task-oriented approach are explained.

      • 철도차량용 알루미늄 압출재의 투과손실

        Sound transmission characteristics are investigated on the aluminium extruded panels used for railway vehicles. An equivalent orthotropic plate model and mass law are applied to predict the sound transmission loss. An extruded panel specimen used in the floor of railway vehicles is manufactured and is tested to measure sound transmission loss by two reverberant chamber method. Predicted transmission loss is compared with measured values and the effect of local resonance on the transmission characteristics is identified. The results are applied to design the extruded panel having better sound insulation performance.

      • 유지-이완기법과 냉치료가 지연성 근육통에 미치는 효과

        Despite research to treat delayed onse muscle soreness(DOMS), no effective treatment has been reported. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of a hold-relax technique and cryotherapy on DOMS. Thirty-three subjects were randomly assigned to one of three treatment groups: control, hold-relax technique, or hold-relax technique and cryotherapy. DOMS was induced in the non-dominant biceps muscle through repeated eccentric contractions. Resting elbow joint position, flexion and extension(universal goniometer), pain(Visual Analogue Scale; VAS), and WBC count(blood analysis) were measured one hour before DOMS was induced and 24, 48, and 72 hours after DOMS was induced. The data were analyzed by repeated measure of two-way ANOVA. The results of this study were summarized as follows: 1) While analysis showed no significant differences between groups in relation to resting elbow joint position, there were significant differences over time, especially at 24, 48 hours after DOMS was induced compared with resting elbow joint position before DOMS was induced. 2) While analysis showed no significant differences between groups in relation to range of flexion, there were significant differences between rage of flexion before DOMS was induced and range of flexion 72 hours after DOMS was induced. 2) There were no significant differences between groups or over time in relation to range of extension. 4) While analysis showed no significant differences between groups in relation to VAS, there were significant differences over time in different hours. 5) There were no significant differences between groups or over time in relation to WBC count. 6) There were no interactions between groups or over time in all variables. This results suggested that hold-relax technique and cryotherapy were not effective to reduce DOMS.

        BMS 수리모형하에서 시스템의 수리효과 및 고장강도함수의 모수추정

        Estimation problems of parameters of the failure process and the repair effect in repairable systems are considered. We propose estimation procedures in repairable systems without preventive maintenances. The fallure process is modeled by a proportional age reduction model (Brown. Mahoney, Sivazlian [5]) which is able to consider both aging and repair effects. Maximum likelihood method is used to estimate the repair effect and parameters of intensity function simultaneously. Simulations are performed to evaluate the accuracy of estimators. A numerical example is also presented.

        Supine Bicycle Ergometer 운동이 뇌파와 기분상태에 미치는 영향

        In this study we investigated the effects of supine ergometer exercise on physiological and psychological relaxation. Seven healthy young men(aged 24.4±2.00years) volunteered for the experiment. The experiment consisted of the following three successive segments" A pre-exercise period of 10 min, during which the subjects rested in a supine posture with their eyes closed for the final 5 min; an supine ergometer exercise period of approximately 10 min, during which the subjects performed intensity of 50%HRmax exercises; A post-exercise recovery of 5 min, and a recovery of 10 min, which was similar to the pre-exercise rest period. The electroencephalo-graphic(EEG) activity of the central cortex of the brain were measured pre-exercise, post-exercise 5 min, and recovery phase 10min. Fast Fourier Transformation of the EEG was used to obtain power spectrum areas in the delta(0.5~4 Hz), theta(4~8 Hz), alpha(8~13 Hz) and beta(13~30 Hz) frequencies. We compared the relative power values(power %) of the electroencephalogram alpha bands(8~13 Hz) and korean edition of the profile of mood states(K-POMS) before and after the supine ergometer exercise. We also estimated the percentage of maximal heart rate(%HRmax) throughout the experiment to ascertain the intensity of the supine bicycle ergometer exercise. The results of %HRmax indicated that the intensity of supine exercises practised in the experiments ranged from low to moderate. The power % of EEG alpha bands had increased significantly after the supine ergometer exercise compared with the pre-exercise rest(p<0.05). From the POMS results, we observed that positive mood(vigour) increased and negative mood(tension, depression, and total mood)decreased significantly after the supine ergometer exercise(p<0.05). This study found that the subjects showed increased physiological and psychological indices of relaxation after supine bicycle ergometer exercise.

        운동형태의 차이가 Alloxan유발 당뇨쥐의 혈당 및 인슐린 농도에 미치는 영향

        The Purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of exercise intensity on blood glucose and insulin levels in diabetic rats with alloxan. Twenty sprague-dawley male rats were assigned to power training groups(n=10) and endurance training groups(n=10). Diabetes was induced by single injection of alloxan(50 mg/kg B.W) Blood glucose and insulin were determined every week for 4-weeks. The conclusion of this study follows as below: 1) There was significantly different on blood glucose levels in two groups. 2) There was significantly different on insulin levels in two groups These results suggest that proper exercise intensity in diabetic rats can significantly decrease blood glucose and insulin level and make good glycemic control. In conclusion, it has been found that regular prolonged endurance training with diabetic rats, improves insulin and blood glucose.

      • 철도 온실가스·에너지 목표관리제에 의한 목표 설정 및 온실가스 배출량 조사

        정부는 온실가스 감축 의무가 없는 비의무감축국으로는 처음으로 자발적 감축 권고 최고치인 2020년까지 배출전망치(BAU) 대비 30% 감축안을 발표하고 구체적인 행동방안을 수립하였다. 온실가스 감축목표 달성 및 저탄소 녹색성장을 효과적으로 추진하기 위해 정부에서는 온실가스 다배출 사업장을 대상으로 감축 목표를 부여·관리하는 온실가스·에너지 목표관리제를 도입하였고, 이에 따라 철도부문에서도 목표관리제를 2011년 처음 시행하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 철도부문 온실가스·에너지 목표관리제 관리기관으로서 교통안전공단에서 수행한 2012년 철도운영기관 관리업체의 목표설정 프로세스 및 목표설정치에 대해 설명하고자 한다. 또한, 국토해양부 지속가능교통물류발전법에 의한 2009년 철도부문 온실가스 배출량을 전수 조사한 결과를 분석하였다. The Korea government has announced that he will reduce the greenhouse gas emissions as 30% in comparison with Business As Usual(BAU) in 2020 and established the concrete action plans. The system of managing the goals of greenhouse gas and energy was first introduced in 2011 by the Korea government. The target of this system is the industries that emit large amounts of greenhouse gases. Therefore, the system of managing the goals of railway greenhouse gas and energy was first carried out in 2011. The Korea Transportation Safety Authority is a railway greenhouse gas and energy management agency. In this paper, we would describe goal-setting process and setting value of the greenhouse gas emissions of the Korea railway companies in 2012. Also we would analyze the investigation results of greenhouse gas emissions of all the Korea railway companies in 2009.

      • 국내 철도운영기관 철도안전문화수준 조사

        철도선진국에서는 보다 안전한 철도 시스템을 구축하기 위해 SMS(Safety Management System)를 기반으로 철도종사자가 스스로 안전을 지킬 수 있는 직장 내 분위기를 조성하는 철도안전문화를 도입하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 해외 철도선진국 및 타 교통분야에서 적용하고 있는 안전문화체계 사례를 비교, 분석하여 국내 철도환경에 맞게 개발한 철도안전문화 측정기준에 따라 우리나라 철도운영기관의 안전문화 수준을 조사하였다. 안전정책 및 안전리더십 등 5개 철도안전지표와 6개 시나리오를 사용하여 설문 및 면담을 시행하였고 이를 바탕으로 철도운영기관의 철도안전문화 수준을 계량적으로 평가하기 위한 기준 및 가중치 기준을 사용하여 철도안전문화 측정결과를 계량화하여 나타내었다. The safety culture of an organization is the product of individual and group values, attitudes, perceptions, competencies, and patterns of behaviour that determine the commitment to, and the style and proficiency of, an organization’s health and safety management. A good safety culture includes effective, appropriate safety management systems; strong safety leadership & commitment from management; participation and involvement of the workforce; and organizational learning and continuous improvement. This paper will introduce the safety culture inspection standards and process in Korea Railway. The main purpose is to get a better understanding of safety culture and to develop measuring tool. First of all we developed the composition factor of safety culture and the question set. And we prepared the base of computerization of safety culture measurement by developing of evaluation standards and weighted value.

        철도선진국에서는 SMS(Safety Management System)을 기반으로 보다 안전한 철도 시스템을 구축하기 위해 철도종사자가 스스로 안전을 지킬 수 있게 직장 내 분위기를 조성하는 철도안전문화를 도입하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 철도안전문화를 우리나라에 도입하기 위하여 철도분야 안전문화를 측정하고 있는 영국과 안전문화가 발달된 화학산업의 안전문화 측정체계를 분석, 벤치마킹하고, 우리나라 철도환경에 적합한 철도안전문화 구성요소, 설문항목 그리고 측정을 위한 프로세스를 개발하였다. 그리고, 철도운영기관의 종사자를 대상으로 실제 철도안전문화 설문을 진행하여, 개발한 철도안전문화 구성요소 및 설문질의항목을 검증하였으며, 우리나라의 철도안전문화 수준을 비교, 분석하였다.
