      • Vibration characteristics of functionally graded carbon nanotube-reinforced composite double-beams in thermal environments

        This paper presents an investigation on the free vibration characteristics of functionally graded nanocomposite double-beams reinforced by single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs). The double-beams coupled by an interlayer spring, resting on the elastic foundation with a linear layer and shear layer, and is simply supported in thermal environments. The SWCNTs gradient distributed in the thickness direction of the beam forms different reinforcement patterns. The materials properties of the functionally graded carbon nanotube-reinforced composites (FG-CNTRC) are estimated by rule of mixture. The first order shear deformation theory and Euler-Lagrange variational principle are employed to derive the motion equations incorporating the thermal effects. The vibration characteristics under several patterns of reinforcement are presented and discussed. We conducted a series of studies aimed at revealing the effects of the spring stiffness, environment temperature, thickness ratios and carbon nanotube volume fraction on the nature frequency.

        디지털 시대 전통문화 IP의 커뮤니케이션 전략에 관한 연구 : 둔황 IP를 예로 들어

        오늘날 국제 경쟁은 갈수록 문화 소프트파워의 경쟁으로 표현되고 있으며, 광범위한 영향력을 가진 국가의 문화 기호는 그 나라의 문화 소프트파워를 측정하는 중요한 지표이다. 중국은 5,000년의 역사를 가진 국가로서 오늘날의 상업과 문화 경쟁에서 우수한 전통 문화는 국가 문화 상징을 만들기 위한 가장 중요한 문화자원이어야 한다. 중국 전통문화 IP는 중국의 정신과 가치를 깊이 담고 있으며, 디지털 시대에 어떻게 발굴하고 개발하여 국가의 이미지 구축과 전파의 문화 상징으로 자리매김할 수 있는지, 독특한 동양문화의 매력으로 세계적으로 영향을 미쳐 글로벌 문화 가치의 융합 및 문화산업의 발전에 기여할 수 있는지 고민해볼 필요가 있다. 2천 년이 넘는 역사를 가진 둔황(敦煌)은 수많은 전통문화 자원을 보유하고 있을 뿐만 아니라 다양한 미디어와 신기술을 활용하여 디지털화의 실천과 브랜드 간의 협력을 수행하면서 점차 젊은이들에게 사랑을 받는 대표적인 전통문화 IP로 자리매김하고 있다. 현재 일부 IP는 내용보다 형식, 동질화 문제, 혁신의 결핍 등 문제가 발생하고 있다. 둔황IP는 애니메이션에서 상호작용으로, 문화에서 게임으로, 문화에서 소비로의 성공적인 IP 브랜드를 탐색하고 구축하기 위해 전문적인 비즈니스 팀과 협력하였다. 본 연구는 둔황의 문화 분체를 기반으로 둔황 문화 IP의 구성 모델을 분석하고, 디지털 시대의 맥락에서 전통문화 IP의 확산 전략을 합리화하기 위한 제안을 제시한다. 디지털 시대의 전통문화 IP의 확산이 젊은 청중을 대상으로 하고, 합력 운영에 중점을 두고, 좋은 콘텐츠를 만들고, 새로운 기술과 결합하고, 전파 형식을 혁신하고, 전통문화의 강정적 가치에 대한 호소를 발굴하고, 전통문화 IP의 문화적 가치와 상업적 가치를 균형 있게 유지하여 전통문화의 영향력을 높여야 한다고 제안하였다. Today’s international competition is increasingly manifested in the competition of cultural soft power, and the widely influential national cultural symbol is an important index to measure a country’s cultural soft power. As a country with a history of 5000 years, in today’s Internet business and cultural competition, excellent traditional culture must be the most important cultural resource to create national cultural symbols. Chinese traditional culture IP contains profound Chinese spirit and Chinese value. We need to think about how to excavate and develop it in the digital age, make it a cultural symbol for the construction and dissemination of national image, have an impact around the world with unique oriental cultural charm, and contribute to the integration of global cultural values and the development of cultural industry. Dunhuang, with a history of more than 2000 years, not only has a large number of traditional cultural resources, but also carries out digital practice and cross brand cooperation with the help of a variety of media and new technology. It is well known and loved by more and more young people, and gradually becomes a representative cultural IP in traditional culture. At present, there are some problems in some IP communication, such as form is greater than content, serious homogenization problem, lack of innovation and so on. Dunhuang IP cooperates with professional business teams across borders to try to build a successful IP brand from animation to interaction, from culture to games, and from culture to consumption. Based on the Dunhuang Cultural ontology, this study analyzes the building mode of Dunhuang Cultural IP, puts forward reasonable suggestions on the communication strategy of traditional cultural IP in the digital age, and believes that the communication of traditional cultural IP in the digital age should be oriented to young audiences, pay attention to community operation, create refined content, combine new technology, innovate communication forms, and tap the emotional value demands of traditional culture, Balance the cultural value and commercial value of traditional culture IP, so as to enhance the influence of traditional culture.

      • Glulathione-S-transferases Gene Polymorphism in Prediction of Gastric Cancer Risk by Smoking and Helicobacter Pylori Infection Status

        Aim: To evaluate the association of glutathione S-transferases gene polymorphisms with the risk of gastric cancer, with reference to smoking and Helicobacter pylori infection. Methods: We conducted a 1:1 matched case-control study with 410 gastric cancer cases and 410 cancer-free controls. Polymorphisms of GSTM1, GSTT1 and GSTP1 were determined using PCR-CTPP. Results: The GSTM1 and GSTT1 null genotypes were significantly associated with the risk of gastric cancer after adjusting for potential confounding factors (OR=1.68, 95% CI=1.32-2.23 for null GSTM1, OR=1.73; 95% CI=1.24-2.13 for null GSTT1). The combination of null GSTM1 and null GSTT1 conferred an elevated risk (OR=2.54, 95% CI=1.55-3.39). However, no association was found for GSTP1 polymorphism The smoking modified the association of GSTM1 and GSTT1 null genotypes with the risk of gastric cancer. Conclusion: GSTM1 and GSTT1 null genotypes are associated with increased risk of gastric cancer, and smoking modifies the association.

        Isolation and characterization of LHT-type plant amino acid transporter gene from Panax ginseng Meyer

        A lysine histidine transporter (LHT) cDNA was isolated and characterized from the roots of Panax ginseng, designated PgLHT. The cDNA is 1,865 bp with an open reading frame that codes for a protein with 449 amino acids and a calculated molecular mass of 50.6 kDa with a predicted isoelectric point of 8.87. Hydropathy analysis shows that PgLHT is an integral membrane protein with 9 putative membrane-spanning domains. Multiple sequence alignments show that PgLHT shares a high homology with other plant LHTs. The expression profile of the gene was investigated by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction during various chemical treatments. PgLHT was up-regulated in the presence of abscisic acid, salicylic acid, methyl jasmonate, NaCl, and amino acids. To further explore the function of PgLHT gene, full-length cDNA of PgLHT was introduced into P. ginseng by Agrobacterium rhizogenes A4. The overexpression of PgLHT in the hairy roots led to an obviously increase of biomass compared to the controls, and after addition of the amino acids, the overexpressed-PgLHT hairy roots grew more rapidly than untreated controls during early stage of the culture cycle. The results suggested that the PgLHT isolated from ginseng might have role in the environmental stresses and growth response.

        Monte Carlo Simulation on Kinetics of Batch and Semi-Batch Free Radical Polymerization

        Based on Monte Carlo simulation technology, we proposed a hybrid routine which combines reaction mechanism together with coarse-grained molecular simulation to study the kinetics of free radical polymerization. By comparing with previous experimental and simulation studies, we showed the capability of our Monte Carlo scheme on representing polymerization kinetics in batch and semi-batch processes. Various kinetics information, such as instant monomer conversion, molecular weight, and polydispersity etc. are readily calculated from Monte Carlo simulation. The kinetic constants such as polymerization rate kp is determined in the simulation without of “steady-state” hypothesis. We explored the mechanism for the variation of polymerization kinetics those observed in previous studies, as well as polymerization-induced phase separation. Our Monte Carlo simulation scheme is versatile on studying polymerization kinetics in batch and semi-batch processes.

      • Folate intake, Methylenetetrahydrofolate Reductase Polymorphisms in Association with the Prognosis of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

        Aim: An epidemiological study was conducted based on an esophageal cancer patient's cohort to investigate the association of folate intake and MTHFR C677T polymorphism with the prognosis of esophageal cancer in a Chinese population. Methods: 167 patients aged 37-75 years who had histological confirmed diagnosis of esophageal squamous cell cancer were collected from Jan. 2006 to Jan. 2008. MTHFR genotypes at the C677T site were analyzed by PCR-based RFLP methods, and the folate intake was computed by multiplying the food intake (in grams) and the folate content (per gram) of food in our questionnaire. Results: We found associations between the prognosis of esophageal cancer and smoking status, T and N stages. Individuals carrying the MTHFR 677CT and TT genotypes showed a shorter survival time than with the CC genotype, with adjusted HRs (95% CI) of 1.20 (0.56-2.15) and 2.29 (1.30-4.28), respectively. Similarly, those carrying MTHFR 677T allele had a 1.86-fold risk of death. A higher folate concentration showed a significant decreased risk of death, with an HR (95% CI) of 0.45 (0.18-0.87). Individuals with high folate intake and the MTHFR 677CC genotype showed a significant decreased risk of esophageal cancer (0.43, 0.25-0.89).Conclusion: Our findings supports the hypothesis that high folate intake and active MTHFR C677T polymorphism may exert protective roles in the prognosis of esophageal cancer in the Chinese population.

        Effects of co-ion initial concentration ratio on removal of Pb2+ from aqueous solution by modified sugarcane bagasse

        A modified sugarcane bagasse (SCB) fixed bed column was used to remove Pb2+ from aqueous solution. To determine the optimal condition for Pb2+ separation, Ca2+ was chosen as the model interfering ion, and effects of Ca2+ and Pb2+ initial concentration ratio (C0 Ca : C0 Pb) on the adsorption of Pb2+ were investigated. Results showed that adsorption amount ratio of Ca2+ and Pb2+ (qe Ca : qe Pb) had a good linear relationship with C0 Ca : C0 Pb. Mass ratio of Pb2+ absorbed on the modified SCB was higher than 95% at C0 Ca : C0 Pb<1.95, illustrating that Pb2+ could be selectively removed from aqueous solution. To verify that, simulated waste water containing co-ions of K+, Na+, Cd2+ and Ca2+ was treated, and results showed that the equilibrium amount of Pb2+, K+, Na+, Cd2+ and Ca2+ adsorbed was 134.14, 0.083, 0.058, 1.28, and 1.28mg g−1, respectively, demonstrating that the modified SCB could be used to remove Pb2+ from aqueous solution in the investigated range.

        Delayed Strength Development of Composite Cementitious with Calcium Silicate Slag

        Using pulverized calcium silicate slag (CSS) to replace part of Portland cement (PC) as composite cementitious material is the most energy-saving and clean treatment method. The main objective of this study was to investigate the delayed strength development of the CSS-PC composite cementitious. The compressive strength of the composite cementitious with 10% to 40% CSS was tested, the delayed strength was calculated, and the delayed age was analyzed. Results showed that the delayed strength and delayed age increased with the increase in the substitution rate of CSS, which was determined by the ratio of C2S and C3S. Moreover, a compressive strength prediction model of CSS–PC composite cementitious was established based on the “core-shell” hydration model. The calculated value was compared with the specification value of each country to analyze whether the compressive strength of CSS-PC composite cementitious meets the engineering requirements.
