        『흑치상지』론 : 민족을 상상하는 방식에 관하여

        Hyun Jin Gun's literary practice excels in the colony modern writers who think the narrative writing of a nation. Hukchisangzy which includes the value of the theme about the opposition to Japan's imperialism asks the attention of researchers, although it is an incomplete literary work. This essay explains about Hukchisangzy's literary character and meaning, expecially, it concentrates upon the imaginable way of a nation. Originally, the nation is a product of the modernity, but Hyun Jin Gun thinks that the nation is an organic community. He judged the purity of an organic community is defamed by the plunder of Japan's imperialism, and he tried to restore the defamation through the work. The nation, the organic community, includes the energy of the creation and collapse, and the opportunity of the destruction and restoration at the same time. Hyun Jin Gun thinks that the present nation is destructive and the nation in the future can be creative and revivable, if the nation in the past was creative and revivable. In short, he believes that the nation is the systematic organism. However, Hyun Jin Gun limits the category of the organic community is the formation of the paternalism community. In detail, it illustrates that Hukchisangzy is the nation hero who leads the paternalistic community, and madame, Chang-Hwa, is exacted by the system of community. To sum up, Hyun Jin Gun, who thinks the nation through the way of the sexual distinction, separates that roles of the men and women are the subjective role and the conciliatory role. In this point, Hyun Jin Gun's nation narration could be criticized, because it grasps that the relationship of men and women is in the grade of ranks. In conclusion, although Hyun Jin Gun's nation narration has a problem, it has the literary significance and effect which oppose to Japan's colonization.

        Escherichia coli O157:H7균에 대한 키토산 올리고당과 monolaurin의 병용효과

        식품유화제로 사용되며, 지방산과 lauric acid가 에스테르 결합으로 이루어져 있는 모노로린(ML)과 향균성, 항암성 등 다양한 기능성을 제공하는 키토산염산염(CH)를 이용하여 E.coli O157:H7균에 대한 향균성과 그 작용 메카니즘에 대해 조사하였다. 모노로린과 키토산염산염의 E.coli O157:H7 019균에 대한 MIC는 2,000, >2,000 및 >2,000 ppm 이었으나 두 물질을 병용처리하였을 때는 모노로린 1,000 ppm과 염산염 1,000 ppm에서 MIC를 나타내었다. 그러나 932균에 대한 두 물질의 병용처리시 모노로린 1,000 ppm과 염산염 250 ppm의 농도에서 MIC를 나타내었다. 반면에, 933균에 대하여는 모노로린 250 ppm과 염산염 1,000 ppm에서, 모노로린 500 ppm과 염산염 5,000 ppm에서 MIC를 나타내었다. 따라서 모노로린과 키토산염은 병용처리시 O157:H7균에 대하여 강한 향균력의 상승작용을 나타내었으며 균종에 따라 다양하게 향균력을 나타내는 것으로 나타났다. 두 물질의 병용처리시 생육저해효과는 MIC 결과가 시간에 따른 O157:H7균의 kinetic study에서도 같은 결과를 나타낸 것으로 보아 MIC 결과가 향균물질의 screen 검색방법으로 매우 적절한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 병용처리에 의한 상승효과의 작용시작 결과 모노로린을 먼저 처리한 후 다시 키토산염에 처리하였을 때 보다는 키토산을 먼저 처리하고 나중에 모노로린을 처리하였을 때 훨씬 이 균에 대한 사멸효과가 컸다. 따라서 그람 음성균에 대해 키토산염이 모노로린의 향균작용을 증진시켜주는 킬레이팅 물질의 역할을 하는 것으로 사료된다. Minimal inhibitory concentrations(M1C) and antimicrobial effects of monolaurin(M1) and chitosan oligosaccharide(CH), either alone or in combination against Escherichia coli 0157:H7 in tryptic soy broth, and their mode of action were determined. MIC vales of OML against E. coli 0157:H7 009, 932 and 933 were 2,000, 2,000 and 1,000 ppm, when as those of CH were above 2,000 ppm, respectively. When 1000μg/ml of ML was combined with 250 ㎍/㎖ CH against E. coli 0157:H7 932, the sinergistic antimicrobial activity was observed, and similar results were determined in other strains. Based upon there MIC results, sublethal concentrations of combinations of ML with CH were chosen to futher evaluate whether MIC data correlates with kinetic growth. Similar patterns were observed in the kinetic groth studt. Thus, this results emplies that MIC results correlated well with growth curves through studying for comined effect. Also, CH was played important role as chillating agent to improve the antimicrobial activity of ML against E. coli 0157:H7 933 by desrupying cell membrane.

        현대문학 : 상인에 대한 반대 -현진건의 <빈처>에 나타난 인간상과 그 사회적 의미-

        현진건의 <빈처>에서 비로소 건전성의 무게중심은 노동의 세계 안에서 바깥으로 옮겨간다. 사실 건전성을 그와 같이 노동의 세계 바깥과 일치하도록 한점은 <빈처>가 보여주는 가장 획기적인 사회학적 특징이다. 이로 인해 노동을 기초로 한 사회적 현실은 계몽의 대상이라는 사회적 정당성을 부여받지 못한 채 부당하고 정의롭지 못한 네트워크로 경멸된다. 그렇다면 <빈처>의 주인공은 어떻게 마음 깊은 곳에서 경멸하는 세상의 일부로 살아가게 되는 것일까? 이러한 근본적인 물음에 대해 현진건은 개인적 열정과 사회적 이해관계를 통합한다는 이광수식 관념을 포기하는 것으로 답변한다. 실제로 현진건은 개인과 사회의 균열을 봉합하고 불일치를 줄이는 대신, 오히려 그러한 모순과 더불어 사는 방식에 주목하고 있다. 따라서 상상 속의 삶을 고집하는 인간이 사회적 현존을 유지하기 위해서는 현실과 갈등하는 내면에 대한 위장으로서의 일종의 거짓말을 필요로 할 수밖에 없는데, 이것이 자기기만이다. 결국 현진건의 <빈처>가 보여주는 자기기만의 태도가 명백하게 재현하고 있는 것은 예술적 자아가 교환의 세계와 결합되는 자본주의적 현실의 아이러니라고 할 수 있다. At last, the center of gravity of soundness in Hyeon, Jin-geon`s <Poor Wife> moves from inside the world of work to at the outside. In fact, so it agreed with outside the world of work is the social feature which is the most epoch-making in <Poor Wife>. And social reality based on work is despised by the network which is unjust and unfair with not being given the social justifiability which is the object of enlightenment. So then, how Hero in <Poor Wife> will live with part of the world which despises from the deep place in his mind? Hyeon, Jin-geon answers this basic question in the way which throws up Lee, Gwang-su`s conception that combines personal passion with social interests. As a matter of fact, he is taking notice of the way that lives together such contradiction rather than diminishes the crack of the individual and the society. Accordingly the man holding to his imagining life has need of a kind of lie as disguise of the inner which is in discord with reality to maintain a social existence. Rightly this is bad faith. After all, the attitude of bad faith in Hyeon, Jin-geon`s <Poor Wife> represents clearly the irony of capitalistic reality which combines artistic self with the world of exchange.

        <tex> ${\rm TmBa}_{2}{\rm Cu}_{3}{\rm O}_{7-{\rm x}}$</tex> Superconducting Thin Films Grown by Pulsed Laser Deposition

        <P>TmBa<SUB>2</SUB>Cu<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>7</SUB> <SUB>-</SUB> <SUB>x</SUB> films which is one of the (Rare earth)Ba<SUB>2</SUB>Cu<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>7</SUB> <SUB>-</SUB> <SUB>x</SUB> high temperature superconductors with small ionic radius of rare earth element, were deposited on STO (100) single crystal substrates and Y<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>/YSZ/CeO<SUB>2</SUB> buffered metal substrates by pulsed laser deposition. The J<SUB>c</SUB> (77 K) and the value of onset of Tc TmBCO thin film on STO substrate was 4.5 MA/cm<SUP>2</SUP> and 86 K, respectively. The of J<SUB>c</SUB> TmBCO coated conductor on metal substrate was 1 MA/cm<SUP>2</SUP> . In-field property measurement was carried out at temperatures between 10 K and 77 K in magnetic filed up to 6 T in PPMS system. This is the first report, to the best of our knowledge, of TmBCO thin films and coated conductors with TmBCO film as the superconducting layer which have critical current densities at 77 K of 4.5 MA/ cm<SUP>2</SUP> and 1 MA/cm<SUP>2</SUP> , respectively. The superconducting properties of TmBCO films and the possibility of using TmBCO film as the superconducting layer of the HTS coated conductor, were investigated.</P>

        DECANE REFORMING REACTION OVER Pt , Ir , Pt - Ir AND Pt - Ni BIMETALLIC CATALYSTS SUPPORTED ON Y - ZEOLITE

        Pt, Ir, Pt-Ir and Pt-Ni bimetallic catalysts supported on NaY- and HY-zeolite were examined as a catalyst for producing gasoline from n-decane via simultaneous reforming and cracking. The catalysts were prepared by calcining and reducing metal-ion-exchanged Y-zeolite with O₂ and H₂ at 300℃, respectively. Thus prepared catalysts were characterized by hydrogen chemisorption and temperature programmed desorption of ammonia. Pt-Ni/NaY and Pt-Ir/NaY bimetallic catalysts offered the improved activity, maintenance compared to Pt/NaY monometallic catalyst. The catalysts supported nn HY-zeolite showed higher selectivity toward C_5-C_7 and skeletal isomers of C_5-C_7 and C_8-C_(10), than those of the catalysts supported on NaY-zeolite, which is a desired characteristic for increasing octane value of gasoline these days. However, deactivation with reaction time was much more pronounced on HY-zeolite-supported catalyst. When the catalyst was presulfided with H₂S, the stabilily with time on stream was enhanced and the selectivity was quite different from that of the catalyst before presulfiding. The acidity of Y-zeolite and presulfiding of catalyst greatly influenced the activity, selectivity and stability of Pt, Ir, Pt-Ir and Pt-Ni bimetallic catalysts supported on Y-zeolite in n-decane reforming reaction.

      • Thermoset polyester droplet-based microfluidic devices for high frequency generation

        <P>The vast majority of droplet-based microfluidic devices are made from polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). Unfortunately PDMS is not suitable for high frequency droplet generation at high operating pressure due to its low shear modulus. In this paper, we report the fabrication and testing of microfluidic devices using thermoset polyester (TPE). The optical characteristics of the fabricated devices were assessed and substrate resistance to pressure also investigated. TPE devices bonded using an O<SUB>2</SUB> plasma treated PET substrate at 76 °C were shown to function efficiently at pressures up to 18 MPa. TPE material retains many of the attractive features of PDMS such as ease of fabrication but significantly, has superior mechanical properties. The improved resistance of TPE to high pressures enabled investigation of high frequency droplet generation as a function of a wide range of flow-rates with three different oils as continuous phase.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>Droplet-based microfluidic devices to withstand high pressure have been successfully fabricated using thermoset polyester (TPE) materials for high frequency generation of droplets. <IMG SRC='http://pubs.rsc.org/services/images/RSCpubs.ePlatform.Service.FreeContent.ImageService.svc/ImageService/image/GA?id=c1lc20603f'> </P>

      • Graphene paper with controlled pore structure for high-performance cathodes in Li–O<sub>2</sub> batteries

        <P>In non-aqueous Li-O-2 batteries, relatively large amounts of discharge products are formed on air cathodes. As such, the expansion of air cathodes is a critical issue that remains to be solved. Here, we report the fabrication of highly porous free-standing graphene paper by introducing macropores within the paper using polystyrene colloidal particles as a sacrificial template. The as-prepared macroporous graphene paper (mp-GP) have a large BrunauereEmmetteTeller (BET) surface area (ca. 373 m(2) g(-1)), a large pore volume (ca. 10.9 cm(3) g(-1)), and a high porosity (91.6%). Owing to the high surface area and large pore volume, the mp-GPs exhibit a high specific capacity of ca. 12,200 mAh g(-1) at a current density of 200 mA g(-1), as well as good rate capability, when used as an air cathode in a non-aqueous Li-O-2 battery. Moreover, the mp-GP shows good stability up to 100 and 78 cycles at a current density of 500 mA g(-1) and 2000 mA g(-1) respectively, with a limiting capacity of 1000 mAh g(-1). It is found that formation and decomposition of the discharge product, Li2O2, occur within the macropores, and thus, the mp-GP maintains its original structure without considerable expansion during cycling.         만성 정신질환자 가족의 우울증상 및 관련 요인 조사

        Objectives : It has been reported that caregivers of patients with chronic mental illness including schizophrenia are in higher risk for psychological and physical health problem. This study was performed to evaluate the depressive symptoms and associated factors in caregivers of patients with chronic mental illness. Methods : The subjects were 77 unaffected caregivers (30 parents, 30 siblings, 10 offspring, and 7 spouses) of patients with chronic mental illness (62 schizophrenia, 4 schizoaffective disorder, 11 bipolar disorder) and 100 healthy controls. Depressed mood was assessed by Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) in all subjects. For their sick family members, clinical factors including psychotic symptoms using the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS), duration of illness, number of admission were assessed. Results : The mean BDI score of the caregivers was significantly higher than that of control subjects (11.2±11.6 and 8.0±17.5). Given that 23.4% of family group and 23.0% of control group are attributed to mild to moderate depressed state and 22.0% of family group and 8.0% of control group to above moderate depressed state, significant depressive symptom is more frequently observed in family group. The mean BDI score of parent group was higher than that of sibling group controlling for sex and age. In the parent group, BDI scores are positively correlated with age while the offspring and spouse group had negative correlation between BDI scores and age. Higher age, lower socioeconomic state, more severe positive symptom scores of patients were potential predictors for BDI scores of caregivers. Conclusion : This study showed that caregivers of patients with chronic mental illness have significant depressive symptoms. It may be suggested that depressive symptoms of caregivers are associated with aging, low socioeconomic state, and severe positive symptom rather than chronicity of their sick family members.

        일본잎갈나무 , 잣나무 , 신갈나무 임분 토양수 성질의 계절적 변이

        토양수 내 이온 농도의 계절적 변이를 구명하기 위하여 경기도 광주군 퇴촌면에 위치한 26년생 일본잎갈나무, 잣나무, 신갈나무 임분의 O층, A층, B층에 zero tension lysimeter를 설치하고 1996년 9월부터 1999년 6월까지 토양수를 채취하여 분석하였다. 10월과 11월에 토양수 내 K^+, Mg^2+, Cl^-, NO_3^-등의 농도가 증가하였는데, 이는 가을철 낙엽 및 낙지의 유입에 의한 것으로 보이며, 3월과 4월에 Na^-, Ca^2+, K^+, Mg^2+ 등의 농도가 증가하는 것은 봄철에 빈번하게 발생하는 황사현상에 기인하는 것으로 사료된다. 또한 토양수 내 이온 가운데서 K^+의 농도가 연중 계절별로 가장 크게 변하는 것으로 나타났으며, 토양수 내 CI 농도는 K^+, Mg^2+ 농도와 양의 상관관계를 나타내었다. 단변량 시계열 분석 결과 연구기간 동안 토양수 pH는 지속적으로 감소하는 반면 Al^3+과 K^+농도는 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 이와 같은 경향이 지속될 경우 O층 토양수 내 Al^3+농도가 식물체에 피해를 줄 수 있는 최소농도 (0.018 meq/1)에 도달하려면 수종에 따라 차이는 있으나 10-20년이 소요될 것으로 추정되었다. To investigate seasonal variations of soil solution chemistry, samples were collected from zero tension lysimeters in O, A, and B horizons of 26-year-old Larix leptolepis. Pinus koraiensis and Quercus mongolica stands in Kwangju, Kyunggi Province from September, 1996 through June. 1999. Potassium, Mg^2+, Cl^-, and No_3^- concentrations increased in October and November concurrent with inputs of fresh litterfall and twigs. Sodium, Ca^2+, K^+, and Mg^2+ concentrations increased in March and April concurrent with the yellow sand effect. Potassium concentration showed the highest variation among ions, and Cl^- concentration showed positive correlations with K^+ and Mg^2+ concentrations. Soil solution pH decreased while Al^3+ and K^+ concentrations increased during the study period. If our data reflects long term trends. then Al^3+ concentration in the O horizon will reach the toxic level (0.180 meq/1) within 10-20 years depending on species
