        북한 담수 식물플랑크톤의 분포

        In order to reveal the distribution on freshwater phytoplankton of North Korea, the present study was carried out at 8 sites of inland and lake waters from 16 May to 31 May 1991. A total of 162 taxa of phytoplankton communities, representing 11 taxa 6 genera of cyanophytes, 2 taxa 2 genera of dinoflagellates, 4 taxa 3 genera of euglenoids, 1 species 1 genera of xanthophyte, 30 taxa 19 genera of chlorophytes, and 114 taxa 37 genera of diatoms, were identified. Chlorophytes were predominant in the rice field of Pyungyang, Chungchon River and Sanju Fall, cyanophytes and brackish diatoms were dominated in salt pan pool of Nampo. Sodongjung and Samil Lake were poor in phytoplankton flora but maintained a good water quality, while Mureung Fall of Mt. Myohyang was rich in biota, and suggested a poor water quality based on an ecological habit in species occurrence. Sijung Lake was abundant in brackish phytoplankton species and was thought to be exchanged by seawater. Because of disconnection of information between North and South Korea, no information on freshwater algal flora of North Korea was available for 50 years. We expect that this investigation wlll help us contribute to the understanding of a phytoplankton distribution and ecology of North Korea in part.

        F<sub>0</sub>값 수준을 달리한 삼계탕의 실온 저장 중 물리화학적 및 관능학적 특성

        Changes in various physicochemical and sensory characteristics of Samgyetang retorted at the $F_0$ values of 4.0 (F4), 7.0 (F7), and 10.0 (F10) were investigated during storage at $25^{\circ}C$ for 12 months. The pH level tended to decrease in all the treatments with the increase of the storage time, but no significant difference in the extent of the decrease was observed among the treatments. The values of volatile basic nitrogen, thiobarbituric reactive substances, and carbonyl contents increased rapidly over the storage period in the order of F4 > F7 > F10. The viscosity decreased most sharply between month 0 and month 2, after which the rate of increase declined. The oxygen concentration in the headspace of the retort pouch of the Samgyetang was higher for the samples retorted at higher $F_0$ values. In the sensory tests, the scores of the samples retorted at higher $F_0$ values tended to be lower, but all the characteristics of the samples, except for the texture of the T10 samples, were evaluated with scores higher than 5.0, the limit of marketability, over the storage time. In conclusion, the quality of the Samgyetang samples treated at higher $F_0$ values deteriorated more noticeably during storage. 본 연구는 레토르트 삼계탕을 멸균 조건을 달리하여 실온 저장하면서 물리화학적 또는 관능학적 변화를 관찰하고 적정 가열 처리 조건을 파악하기 위해 실시하였다. $F_0$값을 4, 7과 10으로 각각 달리하여 레토르트 삼계탕을 제조한 후 $25^{\circ}C$에서 12개월 동안 저장하며 물리화학적 품질 변화를 비교하였다. 저장기간 중 삼계탕의 pH는 저장기간에 따라 감소하는 경향을 나타낸 반면, VBN, 카보닐, TBARS, 점도, 경도 값과 산소 농도 비율은 $F_0$값 수준이 높아질수록 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 관능검사 결과 F10 처리구의 12개월 후 조직감 항목을 제외한 모든 시료들에서 상품성 한계치인 5.0 이상으로 평가되었다. 종합적으로 $F_0$값 수준이 높을수록 제조 직후 및 저장 과정 중 레토르트 삼계탕의 품질열화 정도가 심하다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 삼계탕의 저장 중 품질 저하를 줄이고 안전성을 보장하는 적정 멸균 조건으로 제품을 생산하기 위한 기술개발이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

      • The fine Structure of the Marine Epizoic Pennate Diatom Pseudohimantidium pacificum in Korean coastal Waters

        SEM and LM studies were made to examine the frustule of the marine epizoic diatom Pseudohimantidium pacificum Hustedt & Krasske and to examine the variability of frustule morphology. The length of the apical axis and the transapical axis were similar to other reports. but Number of labiate processes showed a variation. the Number of striae of Korean specimens were similar to those of other regions, but the areolae shape of striae showed elliptical type. Pseudohimantidium pacificum were palnktonic, tychopelagic or epizoic attached to the prosome, the genital segment and abdomen of corycaeus affinis. this species was newly recorded I Korean waters and the biogeographic boundary of this species can therefore be extended to the northern Pacific Ocean.

        한강하류의 환경학적 연구 - Ⅱ. 식물플랑크톤의 동태 -

        This study on the seasonal dynamics of phytoplankton was conducted between June of 1995 and 1996 during the dry season at 7 stations along the lower part of the Han River. During this study, a total of 145 taxa of phytoplankton were found, including 82 diatoms, 50 green algae, 7 bluegreen algae, 3 euglenoids and 1 species each of dinoflagellate, chrysophyte and silicoflagellate. Though the seasonal fluctuations in phytoplankton standing crops were very wide and recorded a minimum of 3.2×10^5cells/ℓ(July 1995, st.3) and a maximum of 1.5x10^7cells/ℓ(June 1996, st. 3), during the flood period, excluding July, more than 10^6∼10^7 cells/ℓof annual blooms were recorded. Five representative species were recorded by all stations as appearing every month in the surveyed area including Asterionella gracillima, aulacoseira granulata, Fragilaria crotonensis, Synedra ulna and Scenedesmus longispina, Aulacoseira granulata, Fragilaria crotonensis, Synedra granulata, A. granulata var. angustissima f. spiralis, A. italica, Asterionella gracillima, Fragilaria crotonensis, Stephanodiscus hantzschii f. tenuis and Stephanodiscus parvus, it was the first dominant species, in particular, that occupied the highest ratio. Though the dominance index and the inverse proportion of the species diversity index of phytoplankton com-munities was very low, the ratio occupied by the standing crops, number of occurring species, and dominant species was accompanied by a great deal of variation in the evenness index. In addition, even though there is a direct relationship between the richness index and the total number of occurring species, if the standing crops variation is large, the richness index will show a large variation in the same number of occurring species.

        The Water Quality and the Phytoplankton Communities in the Dong River of Kangwon Province, Korea

        The present study is to examine the water quality and to analyze the plank tonic and benthic phytoplankton communities at 6 stations in the Dong River and its tributary streams of Kangwon Province from November, 2001 to March, 2002. During the studies, water temperature ranged from 3.5 to 12.8℃; pH, 6.5-7.9; DO, 9.29-11.36 mg·l^(-1); BOD_5, 0.20-2.38 mg·l^(-1); TN, 1.2842-3.1871 mg·l^(-1); TP, 0.0052-0.0576 mg·l^(-1); and SS, 0.85-9.62 mg·l^(-1). The standard of water quality according to the Korean Environmental Preservation Law showed the first class except St. 6 through the survey. Six taxa of plank tonic phytoplankton identified were poor flora in November, 2001. The representative species frequently observed were the diatoms Achnanthes lanceolata, Achnanthes minutissima, Cymbella minuta, Cymbella parva, Diatoma vulgare, Fragilaria construens, Gomphonema pervulum, Navicula cryptocephala, Nitzschia palea., Scenedesmus sp. of green algae and Stephanodiscus hantzschii. Monthly dominant species of phytoplankton were Achnanthes lanceolata and A. minutissima in both February and March, 2002, but the blue-green algae, Oscillatoria sp. and the diatom, Stephan discus hantzschii were predominant at some stations in March. Phytoplankton standing crops ranged from 9.84 ${\times}$ 10$^3$ to 3.56 ${\times}$ 10$^4$ cell·l$^{-1}$ in November and 1.68-2.99 ${\times}$ 10$^5$ cell·l$^{-1}$ in February, while it changed 4.52-8.01 ${\times}$ 10$^5$ cell·l$^{-1}$ at St. 1, 2, 3 and 1.03-1.71 ${\times}$ 10$^6$ cell·l$^{-1}$ at St. 4, 5, 6 in March. Benthic phytoplankton communities was composed of 38 taxa in November, 31 taxa in February and 23 taxa in March. It showed a contrary tendency to planktonic phytoplankton diversity. Benthic diatoms which were more than 25% of the total populations were Cymbella turgida, Diatoma vulgare, Cocconeis placentula, Navicula cryptocephala var. intermedia in November; Achnanthe lanceolata, Cocconeis placentula, Achnanthes minutissima in February; and Achnanthes lanceolata and Cyclotella meneghiniana in March.

        인천항 선거내의 식물플랑크톤 돌말류의 적조

        In order to understand the dynamics of the phytoplankton diatoms, the present study revealed species composition, fluctuation of phytoplankton standing crops, variation of the dominant species, and the causative organisms of red-tide, charateristics of red-tide due to Skeletonema costatum during the period from January 1990 to December 1991 in Inchon Dock of Korea. During these studies, phytoplankton diatoms were identified 99 taxa, representing 2 order 4 suborders 14 families 2 subfamilies 47 genera 93 species 1 variety 1 form and 4 unknown species. Phytoplankton standing crops varied from a minimum of 3.3×10 exp (3)cells/c (St. 1-B, Sept. 1991) to a maximum of 1.2×10 exp (7)cells/^2+ (St. 1-S, Aug. 1990). The first and the second dominant species were Skeletonema costatum, Paralia sulcata, Licmophora abbreviata, Chaetoceros curvisetus, C. lorenzianus, Eucampia zodiacus, Achnanthes brevipes, Asterionellopsis gracialis and Melosira borreri. The causative organisms of red -tide occurred a total number of 33 taxa and showed high frequency of Skeletonema costatum and Cylundrotheca closterium. Some environmental factors, water temperature, NO_3-N, NH_4-N, and SiO_2-Si had predominantly influenced on Skeletonema costatum red-tide.

        6-시그마 기법을 이용한 고속자동피치가변장치 메커니즘 설계

        A high speed automated pitch variation unit (HAPU) related to semiconductor category sorting movement of the test handler system was developed. In the design process, 'DMADOV' step of 6-Sigma method has been applied. The design result for the desirable pitch variation was a 3:1 reduction rack-pinion and a linkage which are operated by servomotors. The realization and reliability of the mechanism was obtained at the design stage by FEM analysis, and by robust design using Taguchi orthogonal array against weight and deformation. Finally, the validity of the high speed variation mechanism was confirmed via inspection using a high speed camera while performing pitch variation.

        우리나라 황해의 해산 돌말류 Ditylum brightwellii (West) Grunow의 형태학적 특징에 의한 두 유형

        This study deals with the taxonomy of the marine diatom Ditylum brightwellii (West) Grunow: shape, size and ratio, marginal ridge, labiate process, areolation, and seasonal distribution are all considered. Ditylum brightwellii were divided into two type; prism- and cylinder-shaped. Comparisons between specimens from the Yellow Sea were made on, (1) shape- prism types are prismatic-shaped and/or regular square or right-angled tetragon, cylinder types are cylinder-shaped and/or long right-angled tetragon in the girdle view, respectively; (2) size and ratiodiameters of prism types are 82.1 ± 2 μm, while those of cylinder types are 21.2 ± 5 μm and ratio of pervalvar axis/diameter- prism types cells are 1.0-1.5, but cylinder types are 3.9-5.5; (3) marginal ridges- prism types have dotted, while those of the cylinder-type cells have piece, slotted or fimbriated on the marginal ridge; (4) labiate process- both prism- and cylinder-types are central part in valve face, but length of labiate processes of prism types are longer than those of cylinder types; (5) cell margin- the girdle margin show many shallow furrows in prism type and smooth in cylinder type; (6) areolation- both prism- and cylinder-types are a radial pattern in the valve center, but areolae of prism types are larger than those of cylinder types; (7) seasonal distribution- cylinder types are dominated in summer and prism types in the other seasons.

        제주도의 (濟州島) 담수산 (淡水産) 식물 플랑크톤 군집에 (群集) 대하여

        Species composition and standing crops of the freshwater phytoplankton communities in Backrokdam Crater, Chunjiyun Fall, Chunjeyun Fall and Jungbang Fall of Cheju Island have been studied on November 1987 and June 1990, respectively. Seventynine taxa representing 43 genera, 57 species, 10 varieties, 4 formas and 8 unidentified species were recorded. The species number observed in Chunjiyun Fall was more abundant than those of other investigated areas, otherwise that of the poorest was in Chunjeyun Fall. The size of phytoplankton standing crops were comparatively larger of 5.1∼12.O×10⁴cells/l in Backrokdam crater and Chunjiyun Fall, those of Chunjeyun Fall and Jungbang Fall were smaller of 0.2∼8.6 × 10⁴ cells/l. Influences of phytoplankton dynamics in these areas could be thought of the residual time of Fall water in pool and the effects of a various nutrients releasing from the neighbour agroecosystem. More studies are needed to varify an annual dynamics.
