        증폭(蒸曝)에 의한 지황(地黃)의 성분 변화에 대한 고찰

        Objectives : ‘Steaming and drying’ is a traditional processing method that has been used to produce Suk-ji-hwang (熟地黃; Rehmanniae Radix Preparata) from Ji-hwang (地黃, the fresh root of Rehmannia glutinosa Liboschitz ex Steudel; Rehmanniae Radix). The steaming and drying process, which is proceeded in heating and moisturizing conditions, plays a crucial role in the change of therapeutic effect of Ji-hwang, presumably due to the modification of its chemical constituents. In this article, the chemical influence of the ‘Steaming and drying’ process was investigated for understanding the underlying mechanism of chemical modification of Ji-hwang. Methods : The articles regarding the modifications of chemical constituents of Ji-hwang during the ‘Steaming and drying’ process were collected and analyzed to investigate the influence of the processing to Ji-hwang. Results : The results indicated that iridoid glycosides were degraded to their aglycones and sugars, and such degradations occurred faster at a high pressure than at an atmospheric pressure during the process. The contents of catalpol, ajugol, and acteoside were decreased, while those of rehmannioside A and D were slightly increased during the repeated processing. The contents of oligosaccharides, namely sucrose, maltose, raffinose, and stachyose (except for manninotriose), were decreased, while those of monosaccharides, glucose and fructose, were increased by the repeated processing. Conclusions : These results demonstrate that the ‘Steaming and drying’ process influenced the chemical constituents of Ji-hwang and provide probable basis for the therapeutic modification of Suk-ji-hwang after the processing of Ji-hwang.

        한옥의 특징기반 형상모델링 및 매개변수형 BIM 라이브러리 브라우저 개발에 관한 연구

        Since Han-ok, the traditional Korean-style house, is composed with combinations of complex components in various shapes and sizes, it is essential to categorize the components into several types for digitalization of Han-ok information. This study applied feature-based classification using BIM parametric modelling methods. After investigating ‘Parameter and Formula relations’, ‘Parametric description’ and ‘Instance diagram’ of Han-ok components, the study established XML libraries for the parametric modelling of open BIM. The IFC-XML libraries include parametric and properties information as well as the geometric information of Han-ok. For the combination of parametric and non-parametric geometry, the study also suggested a new methodology of using ‘comments’ inside IFC, which enabled interworking between IFC and XML. A prototype of BIM browsing module was developed in the last phase of this study to validate the conformance of the IFC-XML libraries. This integrated browser for Han-ok allows the users, both experts and non-experts, to check and manipulate Han-ok component fabrication by changing specific parameters promptly. The browser successfully showed automatic changes of all related Han-ok elements in accordance with the parameters, relationships and formulas of components.

        가감청영탕(加減淸營湯)에 효과를 보인 열성 아토피 피부염 환자 6례 증례 보고

        Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of Gagamchengyoung-tang($Ji\bar{a}ji\check{a}nq\bar{i}ngy\acute{i}ng-t\bar{a}ng$) for atopic dermatitis patients diagnosed as the febrile tendency. Method : This case study was done on 6 atopic patients with febrile tendency who have visited Korean Medicine Clinic from 2013.08.01. to 2014.04.30.. Gagamchengyoung-tang($Ji\bar{a}ji\check{a}nq\bar{i}ngy\acute{i}ng-t\bar{a}ng$) was prescribed to all 6 patients and evaluated the symptom change through photographs and questionnaire. Objective SCORAD Index(OSI) was used to evaluate the objective symptom and VAS was used to evaluate the subjective change. Results & Conclusion : The Objective SCORAD index and VAS were decreased in all patients. The average OSI reduction score was 26.3. Most symptoms of 6 patients were improved. Gagamchengyoung-tang ($Ji\bar{a}ji\check{a}nq\bar{i}ngy\acute{i}ng-t\bar{a}ng$) can be effective in patients who were diagnosed as febrile tendency.

        3,4‑Dichloroaniline promotes fatty liver in zebrafish larvae

        Backgrounds 3,4-Dichloroaniline (3,4-DCA) is a transformation product of herbicides that is commonly used as a reference in developmental toxicity studies (OECD TG 236) (Bonnet et al. in Environ Toxicol 22:78–91, 2007). However, the mechanisms underlying 3,4-DCA-induced hepatotoxicity are not well known. Methods We exposed zebrafish larvae at 72 hpf to 3,4-DCA for 3 days and observed lipid accumulation in liver treated with 10-μM 3,4-DCA using oil red O staining. Subsequently, we performed qRT-PCR analysis to determine the genes involved in the observed lipid accumulation. Results We found that genes related to lipogenesis (srebp1, pparγ, lipin1, and scd1) and ER stress (bip, atf4, ddit3, dnajc3, and edem1) were significantly upregulated. In addition, we found that ROS generation increased in the larvae treated with 10-μM 3,4-DCA. Moreover, glutathione-S-transferase activity in these larvae was increased by 3,4-DCA in a dose-dependent manner, and the expression of the inflammation marker il-1β increased. Conclusion Our results indicated that exposure to 3,4-DCA induced fatty liver in zebrafish larvae and that this, in association with additional factors such as ER stress response, can promote liver damage. We accordingly suggest that 3,4-DCA could be used to induce fatty liver in zebrafish larvae.

        We experienced a 25 year-old male patient with typhoid fever complicated with massive hemoptysis. Pulmonary complication in typhoid fever is very rare and to our knowledge, there has been no report of hemoptysis as a main cause of death with this disease. We herein report a rare case of typhoid fever.

      • Prototype Development of Nursing Simulation Contents Using Virtual Reality Technology

        Aim(s): This study was aimed to develop a prototype for nursing simulation contents based on Virtual reality (VR) technology. Method(s): This methodological study was conducted through literature review on previous studies, composition of prototype development participants (nursing expert, technical expert, and 3D modeler), expert advice, examination of content validity, prototype design and development. The research period was from October 2020 to April 2021. The final prototype was implemented based on Unreal Engine 4. Result(s): The overall operation stage of simulation was designed into four stages: orientation, pre-practice, simulation practice, and follow-up activities. The prototype contents were designed according to the Han’s principles of virtual reality simulation design and guideline (2019): 1) principle of matching authentic problems in reality, 2) principle of judgement that is suitable for VR technology, 3) principle of similarity to real environment, 4) principle of structural planning, 5) principle of implementing the professional approach, 6) principle of conceptualizing deployment of simulation activity, 7) principle of simple to complex process, 8) principle of virtual recognition, 9) principle of the same operation and selection as reality, 10) principle of providing information, 11) principle of promoting critical thinking, 12) principle of reflection on the whole simulation. By referring to Jeffries’s simulation design, six scenarios of hospitalized children with pneumonia were constructed and content validity was evaluated (CVI=0.99). Conclusion(s): To maximize the effect of virtual reality-based simulation in nursing education, VR contents should be developed through virtual reality-based simulation design that incorporates the characteristics of VR education and learning components of traditional simulation, rather than simply using VR devices as a training method for existing simulation scenarios. Follow-up study should be conducted to analyze the learner"s reaction and confirm the dynamics of the virtual reality contents in real setting.

      • 토양환경지도 자료를 이용한 콩밭 토양의 화학성 비교

        It is important to interpret the soil chemical properties in order to effectively manage the farmland. This study was conducted to investigate the soil chemical properties of upland soybean field according to the soil series at 32 upland fields located in the parts of Gangwon-do. Soil sampling sites were selected by using the National Statistics DB and KSIS DB that is a soil environment information system provided by the Rural Development Administration. Soil samples were collected from 0~15 cm of top soil before seeding or transplanting, air-dried, passed through a 2 mm sieve, and analyzed for soil pH, EC, organic matter, available phosphorus (P2O5), exchangeable potassium, exchangeable calcium and exchangeable magnesium. The average chemical properties have exceeded the each nutrient optimum range level of RDA, except the organic matter in experimental soil 2015. And despite application of conventional fertilization, each soil series nutrient contents were change respectively. The results of this study suggest that conventional fertilization should be applied based on the analysis about the amount of accumulated nutrient contents in the soil.

        일반논문 : 디지털 기술시대의 대중예술과 소녀의 복제

        This paper proposes ``cultural engineering`` as a new term for cultural analysis and explores the social meaning of pop-art in the digital age. Based upon Jody Berland`s notion of "cultural technologies," this paper takes note of the digital-based lifestyle that allows contemporary urban laborers to use digital spatial-temporal modes of existence at their commands. By framing such digital transformation through the tools of ``copy,`` ``cut,`` ``past,`` and ``send`` in the context of genetic engineering technologies such as gene-splicing and cloning, it makes attempts to understand the social dimensions surrounding the popular desire for re-making the original and to muse over the social potentials of the new digital culture: whether it will be able to promise the social empowerment for the digital masses as Walter Benjamin responded to the emergence of the cinema in the early twentieth century. As for praxis, this paper applies the new term to the analysis of director Kim Ji-woon`s "Janghwa, Honglyeon" and Charles and Thomas Guard brother`s "The Uninvited: A Tale of Two Sisters and tries to reveal the patriarchal lag that two cinematic editions of a traditional Korean folk tale "Janghwa and Honglyeon" conceal in the process of cloning the sexuality and body of "Sonyeo." In doing so, this paper suggests Korean teen-age girls still remain the specter of the patriarchal texts of girlhood since Janghwa and Honglyeon.

        Spawning Behavior, Egg Development, Larvae and Juvenile Morphology of Hyphessobrycon eques (Pisces: Characidae) Characidae Fishes

        Hyphessobrycon eques is a famous fish for ornamental fish market and aquarium. They are inhabit in regions of Amazon and Paraguay River basin. Serpae fishs were investigated 2–3 males are chased to female, and then males attempted to simulate the females abdomen. After fertilization, eggs were kept in incubators at 28oC. The fertilized eggs had adhesive and demesal characteristics and had a mean diameter of 0.92 ± 0.01 mm. Larvae hatched at 16 hrs post fertilization. The hatched larvae averaged 2.90 ± 0.16 mm in total length (LT). Complete yolk sac resorption and mouth opening occurred on the third day post hatching. At 45 days post hatching, the larvae were 12.5 ± 1.60 mm LT and had reached the juvenile stage.
