      • 神에 대한 硏究 : ≪黃帝內徑≫을 中心으로 focus on ≪Huangdineijing(黃帝內徑)≫

        This thesis was written in order to help set the groundwork of a new medicine based on Shin(神). This new medicine is an advanced system of Hyung(形) focused western medicine and Ki(氣) oriented eastern medicine. In this thesis, I examined the text, 《Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)》and analyzed the important points relating to Shin(神), such as classification, faculty, properties. Shin(神) in 《Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)》is classified according to either its hierarchy or its faculty. Hierarchically, Shin(神) in 《Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)》has two levels; "Cosmos Shin"(天神) and "Human Shin"(人神). Cosmos Shin(天神), which is the "Great Law" is the basis of creation, change, development, extinction of all things in the universe including human. "Human Shin" which represents Shin(神) at the mundane level is the "Basic Principle" of human life, speaking broadly and mental function in a narrow sense. In terms of faculty, Shin(神) in 《Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)》is divided into Shin-myung(神明), Shin-ki(神氣) and Jeong-Shin(精神). Shin-myung(神明) is not only the "Basic Law" which has control over the movements and changes of the universe, but also the "Basic Principle" of human life. Shin-ki(神氣), it can be said, forms of Shin's expression. It means that Shin(神) reveals itself by means of Ki(氣). Jeong-Shin(精神) means mental function which dwells in the body and has a control over thinking, consciousness and judgment. In other words, Shin-myung(神明) indicates Shin's property of controlling or regulating, Shin-ki(神氣) indicates Shin's activity, and Jeong-Shin(精神) indicates both the Shin(神) and body united. In conclusion, all of the aforementioned are only classifications dividing the one Shin(神). Although the Shin may be classified according to the particular situation, it is still the one Shin.

      • 광촉매 산화반응을 이용한 트리클로로에틸렌(TCE) 처리에 관한 연구

        Photocatalyzed degradation of trace level trichloroethylene(TCE) and toluene in air were carried out over near UV illuminated titanium dioxide(anatase) pellet in a flow reactor. This study was investigated the effects of humidity and oxygen. Inlet concentrations for TCE was injected with the ranges of 10~100 ppm. TCE photooxidatino was very rapid under our experimental conditions, and ~100% conversion was achieved for TCE concentration examined up to 70 ppm as a single air contaminant. An important finding was that competitive adsorption between humidity and oxygen has a significant effect on the oxidation rate.

      • 대기 중 휘발성 유기화합물의 Advanced Technology에 대한 실험비교

        Nowaday, Advanced technology has been applied to organic destruction technologies that are alternatives to incineration. Plasma, photolysis, and Photocatalytic oxidation processes are an emerging advanced technologies for the abatement of volatile organic compounds(VOCs) in atmospheric pressure air streams, so we has been used these technologies for destruction of VOCs. TCE, Benzene, Toluene, and Xylene were selected as objective materials. We have been studied each process and found many types of reaction parameters which effect on treatment efficiency. So combination processes, which are plasma-photocatalytic oxidation process and photolysis-photocatalytic oxidation process, have been used to increase destruction efficiency. Analysis of above materials and byproducts was carried out by GC-FID.

      • 흙의 파괴시 체적변화 효과

        본 연구는 흙이 파괴할 때 전단에 의하여 발생 하는 채적변화에 의한 응력을 보정하는 세개의 방정식을 유도하여 문헌상에서 얻은 시험결과에 적응하여 본 결과 Bishop의 에너지를 고려한 보정방법이 가장 합리적인 것으로 생각되어 Bishop의 방법을 선택하여, 흙이 항복 및 파괴 할 때에 채적변화에 대한 응력보정의 효과를 Poorooshasb모델과 Lade모델에서 검토하였다. 그 결과 전단할 때 채적변화에 대한 응력보정은 흙의 파괴상태를 합리적으로 나타내지 못한다는 사실을 알았다. The effect of volume change at failure and equations worked out to aollow for their contribution to the stresses. Two models for the failure and yield of soil are discussed in this paper and the effects of the corrections are considered in these models. The corrections for volume change do not produce a reasonable change in the stresses. They do not make the task of modeling the soil any simpler, and so not nessecery for consideration. The best method developed so far, describing the failure of the soil is Lade`s model. It describes the failure of the soil very well without volume correction. In fact when volume corrections are applied, the model no longer describes the failure. Poorooshasb`s model, though base on much consideration does not describe the true failure of the soil.

        Benjamin Franklin was the epitome of the Enlightenment and the American Revolution: the versatile, practical embodiment of rational man in the eighteenth century, and the first of america's men of letters, both in time and importance from the colonial time to the birth of a nation and of a national literature. Distrusting the mystical or mysterious, he became a Deist who advocated the way to wealth through his Poor Richard's Almanack, an annual booklet full of wit and wisdom or 25 years. Although some sensitive readers damned Franklin, on his own testimony, as selfishly opportunistic, the number of subscribers reached ten-thousand at that time and his maxims contributed to the fundamental concept formation of their way of life. It is admirable that so many proverbs, published more than two centuries ago, have been assimilated into our daily quips, and I am convinced that he was really a man of great administrative ability again.

      • Alendronate가 백서에서 두개골 결손의 재생에 미치는 영향

        Previous studies have demonstrated an increase in bone mass and density with the use of bisphosphonate in osteoporosis. This agent acts as an inhibitor of osteoclastic activity, and results in increase of net osteoblastic activity. Currently, it has been reported that bisphosphonate has direct effect on osteoblast. This study was designed to evaluate the effect of alendronate on bone regeneration in defect of rat calvaria. The animals used for these experiments were 48 male rats, over 6-8 weeks old. They were divided into three groups according to the dose of alendronate(MK-217®, Merck, USA) administered. After the calvarial defects were surgically created, the rats received a peritoneal alendronate (0.25mg/kg) in group I, a peritoneal alendronate (1.25mg/kg) in group Ⅱ, and a peritoneal normal saline injection in the control group. Three and six weeks later, blood was sampled and evaluated for alkaline phosphatase activity. the animals were sacrificed for histological observation and histometric analysis of the level of bone formation. The alkaline phosphatase activity was similar in three groups at 3 weeks of experiment. The activity at 6 weeks increased more than twice, compared to 3 weeks, and was slightly higher in group Ⅰ than the other two groups. In histological observation, all the groups at 3 weeks, osteoblast rimming and new bone formation were observed along the defect margin. At 6 weeks, the defect was almost closed with new and more mature bone, but new bone is thinner than original bone in the central portion of defect. In histometric analysis, group Ⅰ and Ⅱ at 3 weeks showed significantly greater new bone formation than the control, and all the groups at 6 weeks showed similar amount of bone formation. These result suggest that alendronate administration in the dose of 0.25mg/kg and 1.25mg/kg promote osseous regeneration.

      • 수산화마그네슘에 의한 배연탈황에 관한 연구

        This study has been carried out to evaluate the effect on desulfurization of flue gas by Mg(OH)₂in steam-power cogeneration plant. We investigated the effects of desulfurizatin on the temperature of flue gas and pH of circulation water in aborber. The desulfurization installations of flue gas in cogeneration and thermoelectric power plant will be increased every year because of stricted environmental regulation in Korea. Some conclusions obtained are summerized as follows ; 1. With regard to running cost, Mg(OH)₂ absorbent for desulfurization of flue gas snowed more economic than Ca(OH)₂. 2. While bunker-C oil with 1.6% sulfur was used, desulfurization of flue gas by Mg(OH)₂ was performed and then SO₂ content in the exhausted gas was under 50 ppm. 3. In flue gas desulfurization, the optimum condition on the temperature and pH was 55-60℃ and 6 respectively, then efficiency was 96%.

      • 대전대학교 지하수의 수질특성과 관리대책

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the chemical quality and characteristics of groundwater in the area of Taejon university, and to suggest long-term strategy for groundwater management. The geology in the study area is mainly composed of Jurassic biotite granite and schistose granite, and phyllite and shistose phyllite of Okcheon system. All groundwater samples except one sample were classified into Ca-HCO3 type in chemical composition, and showed the hardness ranging from moderately hard to hard. The pH of groundwater showed weak acidic and neutral conditions. The results of factor analysis of hydrochemical data indicated that major chemical constituents of groundwater were derived by three main factors: the contribution of two different water-rock interaction processes and the effect of contamination. A part of groundwater samples showed a little high iron and nitrate content, which were likely to be influenced by contamination sources. The environmental assessment of groundwater hydrology and regular monitoring work should be carried out to maintain high quality and plentiful quantity of groundwater in Taejon University.
