        Characteristics of Korean ginseng varieties of Gumpoong, Sunun, Sunpoong, Sunone, Cheongsun, and Sunhyang

        Background: Ginseng (Panax ginseng Meyer) is an important medicinal herbs in Asia. However, ginsengvarieties are less developed. Method: To developed ginseng varieties, a pure line selection method was applied in this study. Results: Gumpoong was testing of 4-yr-old specimens in 2002, the proportions of the below-groundroots that were rusty colored for Gumpoong was 1.29 in Daejeon and 1.45 in Eumseong, whereas theproportions for its yellow berry variant were 2.60 and 2.45 in the two regions, respectively. Thus theGumpoong was resistant to root rust. Sunpoong has a high yielding property. Its average root weight is70.6 g for 6-yr-old roots. Its yield is 2.9 kg/1.62m2 and the rate of heaven- and earth-grade product is20.9%, which is very high compared to 9.4% for Yunpoong. Sunone is resistance to root rot and thesurvival rate of 4-yr-old roots was 44.4% in 1997, whereas that of the violet-stem variant landrace was21.7%. Sunhyang has content of arginyl-fructosyl-glucose (AFG), which produces the unique scent of redginseng, is 95.1 mmol/g and greater than the 30.8 mmol/g of Chunpoong in 6-yr-old plants. Sunun andCheongsun are being nurtured to protect genetic resources. Conclusion: Developed ginsneg varieties will be used as the basis for the protection of genetic resourcesand breeding. Jang-Ho Lee

      • Cs-137 γ-선 조사장치의 방사선장 해석연구

        In reference to the ISO-4037 and ANSI N13.11, appropriateness of the shielding and collimating system, and suitability of the irradiation and its environmental conditions of a 20 Ci Cs-137 gamma-ray irradiator installed in Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety(KINS) were investigated. Upon the installation of the irradiator, condition of collimator alignment and virtual beam cross section were examined by use of a portable He-Ne laser. In order to evaluate the fitness of the secondary(scattered) to primary ratio of the collimated gamma-ray beam from the irradiator in light of ISO and ANSI requirement, the measurements of the secondary to primary ratio were performed by use of a cavity type ion chamber which had been calibrated in a calibration laboratory that maintains reliable traceability. For the theoretical assessment of the gamma-ray field the collimated beam were divided into fifteen sectors and for each sector the secondary to primary ratio and the gamma-ray spectrum was simulated by means of Monte Carlo method. The outcomes were compared with the experimental results, and cause of scattering and the existence of alleged modifying factors in the irradiator were examined.

        The balance of high speed spindle system with high precision rotation like grinding machine is very important. Traditionally, we use trial and error method to balance the spindle. It takes much time. So we are developing the automatic balancing equipment being used in the grinding machine. The balancing head we develop is wireless. It will be used high-speed grinding machine. We use influence coefficient method to control the automatic balancer. Experiments are based on automatic and manual balancing. We perform test of the vibration filter. It helps to remove noise. The filter and experiments with automatic balancing controller show that automatic balancing control can be successfully achieved with the quick response and good stability characteristics.

        The purpose of this study is to analyse test form for fitness evaluation and to get the adapted model for the 5th grade in elementary school. The subject are 2607 students (M;1431, W;1176) in the 5th grade and 598 students (M;362, W;236) in 6th grade in the elementary school, randomly chosen samples. The test items are conducted for the experiment, 100m Running, Pull up, Broad Jump, Sit up, Throwing and test method is used to the fitness evaluations charter for elementary school. t-test and Z-score(range; -3 deviation and +3 deviation) are used for showing the improved model sheets. The conclusion is made as follows; 1. There is a significant mean difference between 5th and 6th grade, and between male and female. 2. The pull up is exchanged a new model for measurement in fitness. 3.       • 저전력형 부탄가스 감지소자의 제조 및 그 특성

        Low power consuming butane gas sensors were fabricated using mica substrate which is a thin and elastic insulator. To increase the sensitivity and the stability, various catalyst layers were formed on SnO_(2) thin layer. Among them, SnO_(2) /Pt(17Å)/Pd(30Å) and SnO_(2) /Pt(8Å )/Pd(30Å) thin layer showed good characteristics in stability and dependance of temperature and humidity. The size of fabricated sensors was 1 x 3 mm^(2) and the consumed power was lower than 100 mW at operating temperature(250℃). For 2000 ppm butane concentration, the response time and the recovery time were about 5 seconds and 15 seconds respectively. The sensitivity of the sensors was about 80 % for 5000 ppm butane concentration.

      • 조준경 시스템의 유전-신경망 제어기 설계

        본 논문에서는 조준경 안정화 시스템의 추적성능과 외란에 대한 안정화 성능을 개선하기 위해 기존의 선형제어기와 병렬로 연결한 유전신경망 제어기를 제안하고 신경망의 가중치를 유전알고리듬(GA)을 적용하여 최적화 하는 방법을 제안한다. 조준경시스템은 복잡하고 제한된 출력 값만을 사용하므로 유전알고리듬의 도입은 다른 학습 알고리듬이 갖는 문제점을 해결하여 준다. 모의 실험을 통하여 제안한 제어기의 성능을 기존의 선형제어기와 비교한 결과로서 제안한 방법이 우수함을 확인하였다. In the paper, we propose a neuro-genetic controller combined with a linear controller in parallel to improve the tracking performance of the Line of Sight(LOS) stabilization system and reject the effect of disturbances. A Genetic Algorithm(GA) is used to optimize weights of the neuro-genetic controller since this algorithm can search a global minimum without derivatives or other auxiliary knowledge. The LOS system is very complex and has limited measurable output data. Under these specific circumstances GA solves many problems that other training methods have. Computer simulation results show that the proposed controller makes better tracking response and rejection of disturbance than a linear controller.

        The propose of this study is to present the possible solutions for the shortage of skilled labor in Korean construction industry that is currently encountered. This study examined employment trends in construction industry in Korea and U.S.A. The construction industry is highly influenced by economic cycle. The aging of the crafts and shortage of workers are pressing issue in this industry. In order to solve this problem, The construction industry must lead women labor to enter the their industry with appropriate education. This answer to the shortage is to retain those workers currently worked in other industry and to streamline construction practices to reduce labor strain.

        익상견갑에 대한 전거근 운동 : 증례 보고 1 Case Study

        Objective: The purpose of this study is to describe the effect of the serratus anterior muscle exercise in a patient with winging of the scapular. Background and Purpose: The patient was a 33-year-old man with an 3 years history of the left deltoid region. He had not responded to previous treatments of rest, TENS and medicine. Materials and Methods: After Surgical operation of the shoulder, the patient was treated for 6 months in 144 visits. treatment consisted of push-up with plus in the standing position with his hands against the wall and unique push-up with quadruped position at mat. Also, Sling exercise therapy was utilized to control scapular stabilization and reduce stress on the scapulohumeral joint. Result: Following 104 physical therapy visits, the patient was able to full range of motion of the shoulder without shrug motion Conclusion and Discussion : Scapular winging and serratus anterior muscle function are important consider in the rehabilitation of the shoulder dysfunction. Therefore, specific exercise program for people with the winging scapular should be considered.

        This paper examines the validity of Web Contents Quality in airlines. The Second-order confirmatory factor analysis(CFA) were performed to assess the convergent and discriminant validity of five dimensions of web contents quality and their contributions to an overall construct of web contents quality. The results provide evidence for the construct validity of web contents quality. the limitations of the study were explored, and suggestions were given for further research.
