Background: Intermediate myasthenia syndrome(IMS) is thought to have clinical importance because it may cause sudden respiratory failure during the recovery phase of a cholinergic crisis of organophosphate poisoning. We designed this study to identify the prevalence, the inducing agent, clinical predictor, and the proposed treatment of IMS. Methods: Patients who had admitted with the diagnosis of acute organophosphate poisoning from 1992 to 1998 at two teaching hospitals were enrolled in this study. We selected the cases of IMS based on a review of medical records using modified He' s criteria. Results: Twelve(12) out of 110 patients with acute organophosphate poisoning were diagnosed for a prevalence at 10.9%. The drug inducing IMS were identified as dichlorvos, fenthion, EPN, methidathion, and phosphamidon. The occurrence of IMS was not related to either the initial treatment with atropine and pralidoxime, or the level of serum cholinesterase. Complications were pneumonia, sepsis, pancreatitis, and pseudomembranous colitis, etc. Eleven(11) patients were discharged without sequelae, and one patient was discharged as a hopeless case. Conclusion: This study suggests that IMS is not rare, so close observation is required to detect IMS in organophosphate-poisoning patients. Also, more studies are required to find predictors and treatments.

Wrapper 자동생성 에이전트를 이용한 XML 기반 데이터 통합 시스템 연구

인터넷 사용이 급격히 증가하면서, 인터넷상에 분산된 이질 정보자원들에 대해 사용자가 쉽게 접근하도록 하기 위해 몇몇 통합시스템들이 제안되고 있는데, 이들 통합시스템은 대개 mediator-wrapper 구조를 가지고 있으며, 이는 분산 이질 정보자원들 각각에 대해 wrapper를 필요로 한다. 하지만 개발자들이 일일이 wrapper를 직접 작성하는 것은 많은 시간과 비용을 요구하며 지금도 증가하고 있는 정보자원들을 고려해 보면 매우 비실용적이다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 wrapper 작성시 소스에 한정되는 상세한 부분은 wrapper 개발자와 상호작용을 통해 작성되게 하고, 공통적으로 해당하는 부분은 명세를 통해 자동으로 생성되게 하는 wrapper 생성 에이전트를 이용한 XML 기반 데이터 통합 시스템을 제안한다. As internet usage rapidly increases, several integration systems have been proposed to make users' access easy and these usually have mediator-wrapper structure which needs a wrapper for each distributed heterogeneous information source. However, developers' hand-writing for each source requires much time and expense and, considering the increasing number of web information sources, it is rather impractical. Therefore, in this paper, I suggest an XML-based data integration system that makes source-specific details written through interaction with wrapper developers and common parts automatically written through specification using a wrapper generation agent.

구강 악성 흑색종에서 PCNA 발현에 관한 면역조직화학적 연구

Malignant melanoma arising from the mucosa of head and neck region was rare and showed poor prognosis. Some of malignant melanoma were transformed from benign melanotic lesion. Malignant melanoma had high cellular proliferation and rapid growth. The percentage of PCNA-positive cell (labeling index) is high in many malignant tumor. So we compared the pattern of PCNA expression in the melanotic lesion. We performed the immunohistochemical study in malignant melanoma(19 cases), benign melanotic macule(24 cases) and normal mucosa(20 cases) were diagnosed in Seoul National University Dental Hospital between 1980 and 2000. Positive PCNA staining was found mainly in malignant melanoma. The mean PCNA expression in malignant melanoma, melanotic macule, normal tissue were 29.2%, 1.4%, 0%, respectively. Significant differences in PCNA expression were noted between malignant melanoma and melanotic macule(p<0.01), normal mucosa(p<0.01). These result suggested that the PCNA expression seems to be used as a diagnostic indicator for malignancy in malignant melanoma and melanotic lesion.

Now we live in service society. The gravity of service industry grows high and the importance of service industry is increasing continuously. Accordingly it is essential that we offer service satisfying customer's desire and improvement service quality by grasping critical factor form management successfully of service quality. Customer satisfaction will improve by making an effort on improvement critical success factor f service quality. This study is to determine customer's critical factor using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) technique and to analyze customer's needs in the service of department store. This study's object is that it selects the critical factor influencing and management item of service quality using QFD(Quality Function Depolyment) technique about this critical factor and improves customer satisfaction through improvement of service quality for providing better service in the department store.

대구의 기상 현상의 槪觀을 위한 調査와 그 고찰 : 1938∼67년의 자료를 중심으로

This paper is to research various aspects of the weather condition of Taeygu City, viewed in a descriptive statistics, based mainly on the temperature and precipitations provided by the weather materials recorded for thirty years (January 1938 to December 1967) at the Taegu Meteorological Station. 1. The influence of the amphibian distribution, when observed through the relative temperature, shows that the summer season is more oceanic while the winter season is not less continental. However, the Gorczynki's continentality based on the annual difference of temperature shows 61.8 and this bespeaks the greater impact of the continent throughout a year. 2. The type of temperature by its annual change is Conrad's normal type 1. 3. A year is divided by four seasons-cold, cool, warm, hot. Especially, the period from early April to late May belongs to what is called Markham's most favorable climate period. 4. The average annual precipitation is 965mm and Taegu belongs to the type of much rain, sufficing Thornthwaite's potential Evapotranspiration 755mm but has three rounds of slightly dry spell annually. 5. Particularly, during the period from late June to early July when the rices are planted in this area, water is recharged after the first dry spell from late April to early June. This period involves the potential drought. 6. The rainy season for rice-planting sets in around June 25 on the average.

PAGE를 사용한 Rotavirus 변이주의 검출

Viral RNA analysis by PAGEM a sensitive and highly specific test for detecting Rv in stool, was used to classify human Group A Rv int subgroups I an II and to find non-group A human Rv. Of 151 fecal samples positive for group A-specific monoclonal antibody (Mab)-based ELISA, 27(18%) belonged to subgroup I (short electropherotype) and 119 (79%) were identified as subgroup II (long electropherotype). Two samples contained mixed infections of the two electropherotypes. One isolate contained atypically migrating RNA with two extra segments between segment 4 and 5. Another isolate belong to neither one of the two electropherotypes, but they did not yield enough viral RNA to allow their classification. It is possible that reassortment viruses have emerged as a result of the patients' being infected simultaneously with belonging to the two electropherotypes. The unusual strains are being adapted to MA 104 cells and cultured for further antigenic analysis. PAGE yielded RNA typical of group A Rv in 5 Mab-based ELISA-negative stools, and thus raised the sensitivity of the ELISA.

地學의 內容과 方法의 敎材化에 관한 小考 : Earth Science Curriculum Project-'Investigating the Earth'-을 中心으로 based on the Investigating the Earth

In the later half of the twentieth century, there have been made a series of new attempts to reorganize the science curriculum for elementary and secondary schools. Initiated in the United States, these new approaches differ greatly from the traditional method of curriculum construction in terms of their philosophical guidelines, particularly regarding to matters such as objectives of science education, concept of both general science and natural science, concept of society, and students' interest in science. ESCP-Investigating the Earth is written on the basis of such developments. It proposes to take the concept of dynamic earth as underlying principles for earth science and to prepare teaching materials in such a way as to facilitate methodology and subject matter as an inquiring process. The gist of ESCP can be summarized as follows: 1) Science as an inquiring 2) Earth science as an organized knowledge to be understood through a program based on synthetical foundation of several underlying principles 3) Earth science as an important subject matter for elementary schools since the earth science and other branches of natural science share in common many of their basic concepts. With the ESCP approach as general directions, the main focus in this paper has been directed toward identifying the philosophy condusive to the construction of systematically integrated body of teaching materials for earth science as a field of general science.

The fields of intellectual property rights, including industrial property and copy right, are very extensive. Therefore, this study seeks to grasp the tendency of American intellectual property rights related to foreign trade, and we are thus able to see a tendency toward protection of world intellectual property rights. Since the U.S. is a leading country claiming the protection of intellectual property rights, I think it is needful to study the intellectual property rights of U.S. So, the results of this study is to overcome the problems of intellectual property rights by means of negotiation, and to grasp a good conclusion in the short term, while recognizing the need to seek a technical innovation in the long term.

마이크로컴퓨터를 利用한 自動 디지털IC 檢査裝置의 設計

本 論本에서는 Z80CPU의 마이크로컴퓨터와 周邊裝置를 使用하여 多樣한 機能의 信賴性 있는 디지털IC檢査裝置를 設計하는 한 方法을 提示한다. 이 設計方法은 檢査可能한 IC의 數나 種類를 最大化할 뿐만 아니라 檢査機能이 좀 더 自動化되고 아울러 값싸게 設計한다는 데 主眼点을 두고 있으며 그 밖의 設計技法은 旣存의 裝置와 類似하다. 實際의 시스템適用을 위해 자세한 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어의 構成을 보여 주고 있으며 從來의 裝置에 比하여 상당히 改善됨을 보여주고 있다. This paper proposes a method for design of a low cost, reliable and multifunctional digital IC tester via using the Z80 microcomputer family and peripheral devices. The primary objective of this paper is to design a good quality tester which maximizes the number and types of digital ICs testable and has more automatic testing functions, and to do so with minimum cost. Other design techniques are similar to those of the testers in the previous papers. The detailed hardware and software structures are presented for actual system implementations.
