        민주적 학교문화가 청소년의 공동체의식에 미치는 영향 : 잠재성장모형의 활용

        본 연구에서는 민주적 학교문화가 청소년의 공동체의식에 미치는 영향을 종단적으로 분석하였다. 종단적인 분석을 위해 한국교육종단연구 2013(Korea Education Longitudinal Study, KELS) 자료 중 3차년도(2015년, 중1)부터 7차년도(2019년, 고2)까지의 자료를 활용하였으며, 잠재성장모형(Latent Growth Modeling) 방법을 사용하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 중1 시점부터 고2 시점까지 우리나라 청소년의 공동체의식은 증가하는 경향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 민주적 학교문화는 중1부터 고2까지 모든 시점의 공동체의식에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 청소년의 사회적 관계(부모, 또래, 교사와의 관계), 다양한 활동 경험(자치 활동 경험, 봉사 활동 경험), 사회경제적 배경(성별, 부모의 교육 수준) 변수들도 공동체의식에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 민주적인 학교문화가 청소년의 공동체의식에 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있다는 사실을 실증적인 분석을 통해 확인하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 공동체의식과 같은 시민의식의 발달 과정에는 청소년들이 주로 생활하는 학교라는 공간의 문화적 환경이 매우 중요하다는 사실을 알 수 있다. 청소년의 공동체의식 발달을 위해 우리의 교육 환경을 더욱 민주적으로 만들어가기 위한 노력이 필요하다. This study analyzed the influence of democratic school culture on adolescents' sense of community based on data from the Korean Education Longitudinal Study (KELS) 2013. Latent growth modeling was used to longitudinally analyze the effects of democratic school culture on adolescents' sense of community. First, it was found that adolescents' sense of community tends to increase from the 7th to the 11th grade. Second, democratic school culture has a significant influence on the sense of community at all times from the 7th grade to the 11th grade. Third, the social relationships experienced by adolescents, activity experiences, and socioeconomic background also significantly impact the sense of community. This study demonstrates that democratic school culture can positively affect adolescents' sense of community. It is important to strive to further democratize the educational environment in order to develop adolescents' sense of community.

        고전수필(古典隨筆) 개념 정립을 위한 시론(試論)

        이 연구는 고전수필의 개념이 성립하는지에 대한 물음에서 출발하여 문학교육을 위한 고전수필의 개념을 정립하기 위한 시론이다. 이를 위해 수필의 개념이 자리 잡은 1930년대 수필론에서 수필 개념을 탐색하였다. 그 결과 수필의 필수적 조건으로 무형식, 비전환표현, 형상성 등을 도출하였고, 필자의 수준 높은 삶에서 글이 나와야 한다는 점을 충분조건으로 도출하였다. 이를 바탕으로 고전수필의 개념을 정립하고자 했다. 1930년대 수필론에서는 고전수필을 인정하지 않았지만 고전수필은 그 이전부터 인식된 적도 있다. 다만 수필이라는 기표에 집착해서 고전수필을 이해하거나 미분류의 글인 잡저로 한정할 경우 고전수필의 범위는 협소해질 수밖에 없다. 반대로 비허구적 산문 전체를 수필로 간주할 경우 교술과 수필의 경계가 사라진다. 따라서 수필의 무형식을 ‘형식의 없음’이 아니라 ‘형식의 자유로움’으로 이해하고 이에 더하여 ‘비전환표현+형상성’을 갖춘 근대 이전의 글로 보았을 때 고전수필은 문체나 형식에 구애되지 않고 확장될 수 있다. This study starts with the question of whether the concept of classical essay is possible. To this end, we explored the concept of essay in essay theory in the 1930s when the concept of classical essays established. The essential requirement of an essay are form of no-form, non-fictional expression, and a character of shape. Although the essay theory of the 1930’s did not recognize the existence of classical essays, classical essays have been recognized since then. However, if the classical essay are recognized by articles named essays or unclassified articles, the scope of classical essays will inevitably be narrow. Moreover, the whole of nonfictional prose cannot be recognized as an essay because didactic genre and essay are not same. The intangible formula of an essay should be understood not as the absence of a form but as the freedom of form. Therefore, classical essays can be regarded as works with a free form, non-fictional expression, and a character of shape before modern times.

        디자인 경영의 새로운 틀과 한국 기업에 디자인 경영을 적용하기 위한 3가지 추가 요구 사항 : 경험 디자인, 협업, 시행착오

        The present research has two objectives. First, we introduce a new framework of design management proposed by Heather Fraser, the Director of Rotman Designworks. It comprises three gears: (1) user understanding, (2) concept visualization, and (3) strategic business design. Second, we investigate the key requirements that are necessary to apply the new framework to Korean companies. We collected fifty reports about the five special lectures from a new product development course at a university in Korea. These lectures were given by three designers and two product managers. We used interpretative analysis and followed three process of qualitative analysis of transcription, coding, and theme discovery. We derived specific requirements for applying design management to Korean companies: (1) experience design, (2) collaboration, and (3) trial and error. We introduced a novel design management framework and clarified the requirements how to successfully apply it to Korean companies. These findings imply that, firstly, executives and practitioners need to improve mutual communication and, secondly, corporations and agencies respect each other in their partner relationships.

      • Sustainable nanoporous carbon for CO<sub>2,</sub> CH<sub>4,</sub> N<sub>2</sub>, H<sub>2</sub> adsorption and CO<sub>2</sub>/CH<sub>4</sub> and CO<sub>2</sub>/N<sub>2</sub> separation

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The huge production of waste agricultural and biomass products has a negative impact on the environment, thus necessitating economic and environmental recycling of abundant bio-waste materials to useful materials. To recycle and convert bio-waste materials, a sustainable nanoporous carbon from bio-waste (peanut shell, gingko, and metasequoia leaves) is facilely synthesized via one-step carbonization. Carbonized samples contain a small quantity of metal and non-metal residues (including sulfur and phosphorus), resulting in naturally doped porous carbon. The porosity, morphology, and composition of the nanoporous carbons were investigated and compared with those of commercially available activated carbon. Pure component adsorption isotherms of CO<SUB>2</SUB>, CH<SUB>4</SUB>, and N<SUB>2</SUB> were also measured at 40 °C up to1 bar for all samples. These data were used to estimate the separation selectivity for CO<SUB>2</SUB>/CH<SUB>4</SUB> and CO<SUB>2</SUB>/N<SUB>2</SUB> 1:1 binary mixtures and pressures according to the ideal adsorbed solution theory (IAST) model. Carbonized gingko leaf had the lowest SSA and pore volume but the highest S and P contents, with the highest average selectivity of 506 and 54 for CO<SUB>2</SUB>/N<SUB>2</SUB> and CO<SUB>2</SUB>/CH<SUB>4,</SUB> respectively. This implies that the composition of the prepared carbon materials plays a significant role in their CO<SUB>2</SUB> adsorption and separation ability, rather than their textural properties.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Sustainable microporous carbon from waste products was developed. </LI> <LI> Special elemental composition role of porous carbon was investigated. </LI> <LI> The developed porous carbon achieved 3.63 mmol/g of CO<SUB>2</SUB> at 1 bar and 40 °C. </LI> <LI> Enhanced CO<SUB>2</SUB>/N<SUB>2</SUB>(506) and CO<SUB>2</SUB>/CH<SUB>4</SUB>(54) selectivity was achieved. </LI> <LI> Synergetic effect between P and S elemental composition was noticed. </LI> </UL> </P>

        Pharmacological Management of Germinal Matrix-Intraventricular Hemorrhage

        Germinal matrix-intraventricular hemorrhage (GM-IVH) is among the devastating neurological complications with mortality and neurodevelopmental disability rates ranging from 14.7% to 44.7% in preterm infants. The medical techniques have improved throughout the years, as the morbidity-free survival rate of very-low-birth-weight infants has increased; however, the neonatal and long-term morbidity rates have not significantly improved. To this date, there is no strong evidence on pharmacological management on GM-IVH, due to the limitation of well-designed randomized controlled studies. However, recombinant human erythropoietin administration in preterm infants seems to be the only effective pharmacological management in limited situations. Hence, further high-quality collaborative research studies are warranted in the future to ensure better outcomes among preterm infants with GM-IVH.

        User Research Method for Service Design

        Objective: We propose empathy as a user research method for service design. Background: We argue that empathy will enable user researchers to go beyond the conceptual knowledge to the design knowledge of user experience. Method: We tested our hypothesis by conducting an experiment in which subjects were required to propose solutions to improve the experience of a family member of a patient hospitalized in an emergency department. Results: We found that the subjects who empathized with the family member of a patient tended to suggest the solutions based on design knowledge rather than the solutions based on conceptual knowledge compared to the subjects who did not empathize. Conclusion: Data support our hypothesis that empathy enables people to focus on design knowledge rather than conceptual knowledge. Application: These findings provide practical implications for user researchers in service design.

      • Microfluidic Device for One-step Detection of Breast Cancer-derived Exosomal mRNA in Blood Using Signal-amplifiable 3D Nanostructure

        The detection of metastatic tumor-derived components in the blood assists in determining cancer recurrence and patient survival. Microfluidic-based sensors facilitate analysis of small fluid volumes and represent an accurate, rapid, and user-friendly method of field diagnoses. In this study, we develop a microfluidic chip-based exosomal mRNA sensor (exoNA-sensing chip) for the one-step detection of exosomal ERBB2 in the blood by integrating a microfluidic chip and 3D-nanostructured hydrogels. The exoNA-sensing chip is a vacuum-driven power-free microfluidic chip that can accurately control the flow of trace fluids (< 100 µL). The sensing part of the exoNA-sensing chip includes 3D-nanostructured hydrogels capable of detecting ERBB2 and a reference gene by amplifying a fluorescent signal by an enzyme-free catalytic hairpin assembly reaction at room temperature. This hydrogel offers a detection limit of 58.3 fM with good selectivity for target sequences. The performance of the exoNA-sensing chip was evaluated by testing in vitro/in vivo samples, and was successfully proven to be effective for cancer diagnosis and liquid biopsies.

        Frequency spectrum of photon wave packet generated from a pulsed optical parametric oscillator

        The frequency spectrum of a photon wave packet generated from a pulsed optical parametric oscillator has been studied. It is shown that a single Schmidt mode wave packet with one photon energy can be obtained by introducing a properly designed frequency selection device in the oscillator cavity and that the single-photon character of the signal wave can be ensured by detecting the correlated conjugate pair.
