The fracture toughness is evaluated by using CT(compact tension) and 3PB(thress point bending) specimens of A1 alloys for propulsive engine. To evaluate the static fracture toughness, strain gage method is used. The static fracture toughness obtained from the strain measurement is compared with the results by ASTM standard and FEM analysis. For the reliable evaluation of fracture toughness, strain gages are attached at various positions.

Using sodium ion selective electrode, interfacial phenomena between mercury electrode and aqeous solution of sodium formate, acetate, propionate and benzoate has been studied by electrocapilly curve method. The results show that adsorption of carboxylic anion is increased with the number of carbon atom, but aromatic anion shows the more adsorption ability.

The stability constant of ethylendiamine with copper(Ⅱ) and nickel(Ⅱ) ions and dissociation constant of ethylenediamine in water-dioxane solvent mixtures were measured at various temperatures. The decreasing of the logarithm of formation constant of coordination compounds of copper, nickel with variaton of dioxane content in binary solvent mixtures has been found to be quasi linear. Variation of protonation constant of ethylenediamine were found to be similar to the formation constant. Variation for contribution of entropy term were larger than the enthalpy term in the standard free energy of complex formation.

There are many types of information occurred in real-world which are required not only definite information but also indefinite information. We define tables to represent various kinds of indefinite information which are applicable to any relational operators and show that this tables are well-defined. Also, we define relational algebraic operations or indefinite infromation under these tables and consider query optimization algorithm and propose various types of answers for a query under the defined IIRS(Indefinite Information Representation System). Consequently, we show that if any query is transformed into reltional algebraic expression and is applied to these table, many kinds of answer types which include definite type, indefinite type, and indefinite type condition, can be given to the users.

E.E Cummings의 시에 나타난 음악성과 회화성

In this study, I tried to show Cummings's sound qualities and pictorial beauty expressed in three of his poems. With these three poems, I noted his poetic forms, effects and outstanding expression methods. His poetic forms were modernized even though his sound qualities and pictorial beauty were not changed. He tried to experience his poems in rhythmical, visual and pictorial ways. The special signature of Cummings's verse was its use of common speech and elements of popular culture in the diction, and its attention to the visual form of the poem - that is, the poem as it appears on the page as distinguished from its sound when read aloud. Experiments with capitalization or lack of it, punctuation, line breaks, hyphenation, and verse shapes were all carried out for the reader's eyes rather than ears. Some critics took this as mere trickery, but Cummings can be credited with awareness that he lived in a culture where the poem was read rather than spoken. To express his sense that life was always in process, he wrote untitled poems without beginnings and endings, consisting of fragmentary lines. There is always much humor in his poetry, along with a willingness, even eagerness, to admit and express such traditional emotions as love and sadness. Cummings was less eager in his attempts to reshape poetry than were Eliot and Yeats. His poems were especially compensated by a gusto and humor though his poems were simpler in thought and technique than the major modernists of his day.

감각사시에 관한 임상적 고찰

Background: Sensory heterotropia is defined as a secondary deviation following loss or severe reduction in visual function in one eye. Surgical results in sensory heterotropia are quite unpredictable. Overcorrections or undercorrections occur frequently, and surgical alignment is rarely stable. Methods: The authors designed a study based on medical records of 28 patients with sensory heterotropia. The study included the etiology of visual impairment, type of strabismus as the age of the onset of visual loss and surgical outcome. Results: The range of age was from 5 to 50 years old(mean age, 20.6 years) and onset of visual impairment was from at birth to 25 years old(mean age, 7.6 years). The etiologies were anisometropia (8 cases), corneal opacity (7 cases), optic nerve disease (6 cases), retinal disease (5 cases) and congenital cataract (2 cases). The direction of deviation in patients under 5 years of age were esotropia in 7 cases and exotropia in 4 cases. In patients over 5 years of age esotropia accounted for 1 case and exotropia for 16 cases. Immediately after surgery 20 cases were successful, 3 cases undercorrected and 5 cases overcorrected. On follow-up, 4 cases out of 20 presented recurrence, one case of consecutive exotropia in a esotropic patient and straight alignment in one overcorrected patient. Also recurrence was low in the eyes with limitation of motion after operation suggesting that limitation of motion may be a inhibiting factor of recurrence in patients with sensory heterotropia. Conclusion: Although our average follow-up is only 23 months, We feel that surgical results in patients with sensory heterotropia appear to be stable enough to allow the patients of good cosmesis.

GMAHN 환경에서의 TCP 프로토콜 성능 분석

Recently, GMAHN that provides interface between MANET and Wired Network has been focused in Mobile Communication. It is necessary that The technology provide reliable data transmission technology between mobile node and wired network in MANET environment that varing by the node movement. In this paper, using the TCP protocol(Tahoe, Reno, Vegas, SACK)that increases reliability between source and destination, we applied the TCP protocol mechanism to various environment, and compared result, and also proposed the efficient TCP mechanism by comparing each mechanism.

The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of thoracic flexibility exercise on chest function and mobility and to provide the information of physical therapy for patients with idiopathic scoliosis. Forty female subjects who were diagnosed with scoliosis participated in this study and were divided into the experimental and control groups. The experimental group consisted of 20 patients who were treated with thoracic flexibility exercise program during the admission (10 days) and one month after discharge. The control group consisted of 20 patients who were not treated with thoracic flexibility exercise program. Vital capacity was measured using a respirometer. The chest expansion were calculated using differences of chest circumference between maximum inspiration and maximum expiration measured under armpits, at the junction between the sternum and xyphoid process, and at the waist. All subjects were measured two times: before the admission and at one month after discharge. Data were compared by groups using independent t-test. Vital capacity and chest expansion values (the armpit, chest and waist values) were significantly higher for the experimental group compared to those of the control group (p<.05). The findings of this study show that thoracic flexibility exercise program can lead to an increase in vital capacity and chest expansion and has a positive effects in relieving symptoms and restoring thoracic mobility.

The life of Heart Crane was very hard and tortured from his early life. Despite the difficulities of his life he read widely and developed a large circle of intellectual friends and correspondents. Between 1923 and 1927 he wrote the most and best of his poetry. He published his first colliction, White Buildings, in 1926, and the second one, The Bridge, in the same year. His aim, in his poems, was nothing less than to master the techniques of modernism as well as to reverse its direction-to make it positive, celebratory, and deeply meshed with modem American life-without sacrificing technical complexity or richness. At the core of Crane's poetic practice was the use of metaphor, the building of connections between metaphors, and the slow exporing of the associations that clustered around them. The themes of "My Grandmother's Love Letters" are worries and laments. But his hardness and torment of life changed into peace later. We can learn his goneral theme in "Passage." While "My Grandmother's Love Letters" expressed worries and troubles through the creative instability, "Passage" tried to describe the overcoming of a lamentable life and the artist's creative diffculties. Further that "My Grandmather's Love Letters" described a personal world and "Passage" expressed the etemity of man's relationship with the sea.
