Die vorliegende Arbeit versteht sich als ein Beitrageines Germanisten zur Forschung der koreanischen Literatur. Dongju Yoon (1917-1945) gilt gegenwa¨rtig als einer der beliebtesten Dichter in Korea. U¨ber seine dichterischen Werke gibt es zahlreiche Forschungsliteraturen, die in mancher Hinsicht vorzu¨glich sind. Meines Erachtens ist es aber bislang keinem Forscher gelungen, die Gesamtstruktur des Yoonschen Werks aus einer einheitlichen Perspektive freizulegen; außerdem sind nicht wenigen Forschern interpretatorische Fehler nachzuweisen, die teils aus dem nationalen, teils aus dem theroretischen 'Ido' (Becon) herru¨hren. Meine There lautet: Yoon, der von fru¨h auf als einer der wenigen Koreaner eine christliche Erziehung genossen hat, gestaltet seine dichterische Welt strukturell ebenfalls nach dem christlichen Sinngebungsschema der ´Grablegung und Auferstehung´. Insofern er an diesem Schema festha¨lt, antizipieren seine Gedichte eine Heilserlo¨sung. Befragt man nun seine Gedichte psychoanalytisch, so erweist sich, daß eine bestimmte weibliche Imago der Motor ist, der dieses Sinngebungsschema in Gang ha¨lt. Ohne Zweifel ist diese Imago infantilen Ursprungs und der Herkunft einer mu¨tterlich-umsorgenden Mutter-Imago. Die harte Realita¨t, mit der Yoon damals im japanisch kolonialisierten Korea konfrontiert wird, u¨bt auf ihn einen enormen Druck aus. Die Mutter-Imago zusammen mit dem christlichen Sinngebungsmodell hilft ihm jedoch, die Wriklichkeit auf die neue Welt hin zu transzendieren. Es ist eben dieselbe Mutter-Imago, die ihm u¨ber den christlichen Dualismus von Profanita¨t und Heiligkeit, von Sexualita¨t und Abstinenz hinweghilft. Letztendlich kommt Yoon mithife der Mutter-Imago auch U¨ber seine Inc-Instabilita¨t hinaus. Sein beru¨hmtes Gedicht "Himmel, Zephyr, Sterne und Lyrik" zeugt davon, daßer einen Reifeprozeßdurchlaufen und sich von einem infantilen Liebesempfa¨nger zum universalen Liebesspender gewandelt hat. Insofern wa¨re es abwegig, - wie einige Koreanisten glauben - Yoon ein fragmentarisches Ich bzw. einen neurotischen Narzißmus nachweisen zu wollen. Seine Gedichte beweisen vielmehr, daß er starre Gegensa¨tzlichkeiten in seiner Perso¨nlichkeit dialektisch aufgehoben hat.

比較憲法에 관한 硏究 : 民主主義國家의 憲法과 共産主義國家의 憲法을 中心으로

This paper aims to make clear the fundamental differences between the constitutions of two political systems, constitutional democracy and communism. (1) Fundamental Human Rights The recognition and the protection of fundamental liberties are the essences of the political system of constitutional democacy. The reality of individual liberties is the only reliable criterion that differentiates the two political systems, since the institutional apparatus of both government, assemblies, elections, parties, bureaucracies have become stereotyped to the point of identity. Recognition or nonrecognition of fundemental guaranties are closely related to the ideological telos of either system. In the constitutional democracy they crystallize the supreme values of human self-realization and dignity. In the communist states they are denied legitimacy not only because they may function as foci of opposition against monolithic power but also because they could obstruct the ideology of economic planning under collectivism. The idelolgical foundation and functional purpose of classical fundamentalism underwent a fa -reaching transformation in the Marxian society. The Russian Revolution preaches and practices the primacy of the collectivity over the individual. Instesd of being "inalienable" interpreted as obligations of the state toward the laboring masses. The attitude of Marxism in the U.S.S.R. and the so-called "People's Democracies" toward fundamental liberties is altogether different. All constitutions in the Soviet orbit contain elaborate statements on fundamental rights of the citizens, characteristically coupled with provisions concerning their duties toword the state and the community. Civil liberties in the classical sense, which the constitution of communist states merely summarizes, are overshadowed by the new social and economic rights. The guaranty of the civil rights proper is hedged in by the rubber clause that they are guaranteed " in conformity with the interests of the working class" and "in order to strenghthen the socialist system". Especially political rights of the suffrage are converted into compulsory mass participation in the political process directed by the party hierarchy. And its single party (communist party)was the straight negation of all political liberty. (2) Patterns of Governament In the modern democratic-constitutional state the essence of the power process consists in the attempt to establish an equilibrium between the various competitive plural forces within in state society, with due regard to the free unfolding of the human personality. In communist state, social control and political power are monopolized by a single power holder, subordinating the individual to the ideological requirements of the group domination the state. The basic difference between the two political systema conists in whether, in the various stages of the governmental process, political power, is distributed among and shared by several independent power holders or whether political power is concentrated in and monoploized by a single power holder, be it an individual person, and assembly, or a party. Assembly government system revived in the Stalin constitution of 1936 in the U.S.S.R. from where it spread, after the Second World War, to all satellite states, as well as East Germany, Red China, North Korea. No communist state fails to conform to this standard pattern. Assembly government, by its own biological laws. easily transforms itself into a regime in which a single power holder exercises the monopoly of political power. This may well be the intrinsic reason for the communist preference. By necessity the communist state is a plice state. Another indispensable instrument of social control is the single party. The governmental techniques of a communist regime are necessarily authoritarian. But the regime does much more than exclude the power addressees from their legitimate share in the formation of the will of the state. It attempts to mold the private life, the soul, the spirit and the mores of the citizens to a dominant ideology that the various instrumentalities of the power process force on the non-conformists.

Syntax-phonology Interface - Linearization in English RNR Construction*

  This paper argues that ‘Mid?way conjunction(Park (2005a)) and coordination by conjoin?α operation (Ihm(2007))’ approach is on the right track for accounting for the derivation of Right Node Raising construction. This paper also deals with the linearization process of the English RNR construction. Sabagh(2003) assumes that the linearization of Right Node Raising construction proceeds in a step-by-step fashion (Spell-Out) and consistency is preserved between the ordering statements that have already been established and new ordering statements. However, his argument doesn’t maintain consistency in the part of the complex RNR construction. As an alternative, this paper explains the linearization process of English RNR construction through ‘Mid?way conjunction and coordination approach(Park (2005a) plus conjoin?α operation(Ihm (2007)) and Linear Correspondence Axiom’.

문화학적 관점에서 본 파우스트 소재 : 서양 근세문화의 주도적 의미 방향성

Die vorliegende Arbeit geht davon aus, dass jeder Kultur Sinnkonzepte eingeschrieben sind, die deren Angeho¨rigen als lebens- und handlungsleitendes Orientierungssystem dienen; hierbei ist zu beachten, dass ein solches System sta¨ndig epochalem Wandel unterworfen ist. Die Teilung der Kulturgeschichte in etliche Zahl der u¨berschaubaren Epochen entspringt gerade dem sinnhaften Orientierungsbedu¨rfnis des Menschen, eigene Kultur in ihrer historischen Sinnorientierung zu begreifen. Die Modelle, die dabei entwickelt sired, sired selbst eine kulturelle Leistung, die ihrerseits dem Menschen Versta¨ndnis abfordert. Unter den zahlreichen Periodierungsmodellen hat sick das Dreier Modell, nach dem die europa¨ische Kultur sick in Antike, Mittelalter und Neuzeit zergliedern 1a¨Bt, weitgehend in der historischen wie auch in den verschiedenen Kulturwissenschaften eingebu¨rgert. Umstritten ist allerdings, wie und wann Trennungslinien festzumachen seien. Mit der "Neuen Epochenforschung", die in den spa¨ten 60er Jahren entwickelt wurde, begreift der Verfasser die Neuzeit als das "Egotistische Zeitalter", das sich durch das scho¨pferische Ich charakterisieren la¨ßt. Danach hub diese Epoche an Mitte des 15. Jh.s etwa mit Nikolaus Kues; es endete dann um 1910. Kulturelle Belege hierfu¨r ist beispielsweise Hoffmanstahls Chandos Brief, insofern als in ihm das scho¨pferische Ich vor allem seine Fa¨higkeit zur subjektada¨quaten Weltkonstitution verliert. In der Annahme, dass das Faust-Motiv ein leitendes Sinnkonzept in der europa¨ischen Neuzeit repra¨sentiert, na¨hert sich der Verfasser zwei Faust-Dichtungen: Johann Spies' Volksbuch und Goethes Trago¨die. Entgegen der ga¨ngigen Meinung, es handle sich bei dem Volksbuch um eine Platte "religio¨se Warnschrift"(Jochen Schmidt) mit dem festen orthodox-lutherischen Standpunkt, will der Verfasser zeigen, loss in ihm vielmehr subtilerweise u¨ber einen zentralen Epochenwiderspruch reflektiert wird. Hiernach exemplifiziert Spies an der Figur Faust, dass die neuzeitliche Tendenz zur allgemeinen Emanzipation zwar nicht aufzuhalten sei; Fausts Drang zur Selbsterweiterung wie auchpotenzierung, die Magie als Chiffre der Naturbeherrschung werden nicht einfach denunziert, wie dies mit ihrer Charakterisierung als religio¨ser Warnschrift suggeriert wird, sondern vielmehr als notwendig anerkannt. Allerdings wird auch ausdru¨cklich darauf hingewiesen, daß der Faustischen Tendenz eine unvermeidliche Janusko¨pfigkeit innewohnt, vor der die Menschheit auf der Hut sein muß. Es ist erstaunlich, zu konstatieren, wie haargenau dieser Faust modellhaft den Expansionsdrang der technisch gewappneten europa¨ischen neuzeitlichen Realgeschichte vorwegnimmt. Die Ambivalenz der Neuzeit wird ebenfalls bei Goethe in voller Scha¨rfe reflektiert. Sie wird jedoch im Goetheschen Faust letztendlich einseitig zugunsten des harmonischen Fortschritts aufgelo¨st: Goethe ist in dieser Hinsicht optimistisch-fortschrittsgla¨ubig. Wie begru¨ndet er denn diesen Optimismus in seinem Faust? Meine These lautet: Goethe fu¨hrt die Rettung Fausts in letzter Instanz auf seinen gegenu¨ber der Faustradition transformierten Pakt, dem das Moment "Wette" hinzugefu¨gt ist. Einzig die Wette, d.i. Konkurrenz mit dem Mephisto, ist es, die Faust zur Rettung hinfu¨hrt, insofern sie ihn zur sta¨ndigen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Selbst animiert. Die Idee, dass die Konkurrenz miteinander letzthch fu¨r die Harmonie der menschlichen Gesellschaft verbu¨rge, la¨sst sich als ein Allgemeingut des aufkla¨rerischen 18. Jh.s identifizieren. Kant wie auch Adam Smith sind Beispiele hierfu¨r. Das U¨bel bzw. das niedrige Selbstinteresse in der Menschennatur ist effizienterweise unter der Bedingung der Konkurrenz ins unabdingbar-brauchbare Element transformierbar, weil der Mensch ununterbrochen aus sich das Beste machen muß, will er dabei nicht untergehen. Hierbei ist die letzte Harmonie unumsto¨Blich garantiert. Smiths Losung "Unsichtbare Hand" ist bloß eine einpra¨gsame Metapher fu¨r einen solchen optimistischen Glauben. In diesem Sinne erweist sich die Konkurrenz als eine conditio sine qua non fu¨r die Existenz des modernen - neuzeitlichen Menschen. Sie ist gleichzeitig eine neuzeitlich-moderne Erfindung, die den Fortschrittsglauben vollkommen innerweltlich begru¨ndet. Denn bei Smith wie auch bei Goethe ist der Eingriff durch den (durch das Gottesgnadentum legitimierten) Staat bzw. den "Herrn" unerwu¨nscht, da dies die freie Konkurrenz unter den Kontrahenten nur sto¨ren wird. In dieser Hinsicht entpuppt sich die Fortschrittsideologie, wie sie im 18. Jh. erfunden wurde, als eine gleichsam mit dem Motor der Konkurrenz angetriebene Maschine, welche, einmal angesprungen, selbstta¨tig-zwangsla¨ufig fortla¨uft. Die Wette, auf die Goethesche Faust eingeht, ist fu¨r Faust in Wirklichkeit gar keine Wette, denn er - nicht nur der Herr! - weiß seinen Sieg u¨ber Mephisto von vornherein gesichert, ohne allerdings um sein letztes Schicksal zu wissen. Allerdings erweist sich Goethe dock als hellsichtiger als Kant, da bei ihm der Fortschritt wenigstens mit dem blinden Aktionismus Fausts erkauft ist. Es liegt auf der Hand, daß das Fortschrittsmodell der modernen Neuzeit in der uns vorliegenden Form fu¨r unsere gegenwa¨rtige Welt so nicht brauchbar ist. Wir sind demnach aufgefordert, mit Faust u¨ber Faust, d.h. die Neuzeit hinaus weiter zu denken.

A linear-time algorithm for finding a paired 2-disjoint path cover in the cube of a connected graph

<P>For a connected graph G = (V (G), E(G)) and two disjoint subsets of V(G)A = (alpha(1), ..., alpha(k)} and B = {beta(1,) ..., beta(k)}, a paired (many-to-many) k-disjoint path cover of G joining A and B is a vertex-disjoint path cover (beta(1), ..., beta(k)} such that P-i is a path from alpha(i) to beta(i) for 1 <= i <= k. In the recent paper, Park and Ihm (2014) presented a necessary and sufficient condition for a paired 2-disjoint path cover joining two vertex sets to exist in the cube of a connected graph. In this paper, we propose an O vertical bar V(G)vertical bar + vertical bar E(G)vertical bar)-time algorithm that actually finds such a paired 2-disjoint path cover. In particular, we show that, in order to build a desired disjoint path cover, it is sufficient to consider only the edges of a carefully selected spanning tree of the graph and at most one additional edge not in the tree, which allows an efficient linear-time algorithm. Carbon Dioxide Budget in Phragmites communis Stands

The dynamic model was developed to simulate the photosynthetic rate of Phragmites communis stands in coastal ecosystem. The model was composed of the compartments of both climatic and biological variables. The former were photosynthetic photon flux density(PPFD), daily maximum- and minimum-temperature. The latter were combinations of the specific physiological responses of plant organs with the biomass of each organs. The PPFD and air temperature were calculated and using those values, gas exchange rate of each plant organ was calculated at every hour. The carbon budget was constructed using the modelled predictions. Analysis of annual productivity and fluxes showed that yearly gross population productivity, yearly population respiration and yearly net population productivity were 33.4, 21.3 and 12.1 $CO_2ton{\cdot}ha^{-2}{\cdot}yr^{-1}$, respectively. The final result was tested over two stands, produced promising predictions with regards to the levels of production attained. The model can be used to determine production potential under given climatic conditions and could even be applied to plant canopies with analogous biological characteristics.

S-470 Relationships between blood pressure and clinico-pathological findings in IgA nephropathy

Objective: Several factors contribute to the development of hypertension in patients with IgA nephropathy (IgAN). This study was conducted to find the relationships between baseline blood pressure (BP) and clinico-pathological findings in patients with IgAN and normal renal function. Design and Method: Clinico-pathological findings were analyzed in a total of 163 patients with IgAN and serum creatinine ￡ 1.1 mg/dL from The Kyung-Hee Cohort of Glomerulonephritis. The glomerular surface area (GSA) was determined using imaging analysis software. The serum and urine angiotensinogen (AGT) concentrations were measured using human ELISA kits.?Results: Mean serum creatinine concentration was 0.86 (0.5~1.1) mg/dL. Systolic BP was ≥ 130 mmHg in 72 patients (44%) and ≥ 140 mmHg in 42 (26%). Patients with systolic BP ≥ 130 mmHg as compared with those <130 mmHg had higher GSA and tubulointerstitial fibrosis and showed worse follow-up clinical findings: higher concentrations of serum creatinine, larger amount of proteinuria and lower levels of GFR. Systolic BP was positively correlated with age, baseline and follow-up proteinuria, serum uric acid concentrations and IgM deposit and negatively with follow-up GFR and the slope of change in 1/serum creatinine for 2 years, while it has no significant relationships with serum and urine AGT and 24 hour urinary sodium excretion. Conclusions: This study showed that systolic BP was associated with renal progression and pathological findings, glomerulomegaly and tubulointerstitial fibrosis, in patients with IgAN.
