        韓國産 하루살이目의 카탈로그. 裵淵宰 · 尹一炳^1 · 田東埈^2 (서울女子大學校, ^1高麗大學校 生物學科, ^2러시아科學院 動物學硏究所) 昆蟲硏究誌, 20: 31~50, 1994. 韓國産 하루살이目의 關한 硏究는 南北韓에 걸친 綜合的인 硏究가 이루어지지 못하였고, 1940년 以來 各種 文獻에 記錄된 種들에 있어서도 分類上 혹은 命名上 變動이 많았으나 이를 體系的으로 收錄하지 못하였다. 이 論文에서는 種合的인 文獻 및 模式標本 調査를 통하여 다음과 같이 韓國産으로 記錄된 56種의 命名상 有效한 種들에 대한 카탈로그를 작성하였다. Mayflies (Ephemeroptera) of Korea have been described in various literatures since 1940, but there have been many taxonomic or nomenciatural changes in the members of the order.         Increased Readmission Risk and Healthcare Cost for Delirium Patients without Immediate Hospitalization in the Emergency Department

        Objective: Hospitalization of patients with delirium after visiting the emergency department (ED) is often required. However, the readmission risk after discharge from the ED should also be considered. This study aimed to explore whether (i) immediate hospitalization influences the readmission risk of patients with delirium; (ii) the readmission risk is affected by various risk factors; and (iii) the healthcare cost differs between groups within 28 days of the first ED visit. Methods: Using the National Health Insurance Research Database, the data of 2,780 subjects presenting with delirium at an ED visit from 2000 to 2008 were examined. The readmission risks of the groups of patients (i.e., patients who were and were not admitted within 24 hours of an ED visit) within 28 days were compared, and the effects of the severities of different comorbidities (using Charlson’s comorbidity index, CCI), age, gender, diagnosis and differences in medical healthcare cost were analyzed. Results: Patients without immediate hospitalization had a higher risk of readmission within 3, 7, 14, or 28 days of discharge from the ED, especially subjects with more severe comorbidities (CCI≥3) or older patients (≥65 years). Subjects with more severe comorbidities or older subjects who were not admitted immediately also incurred a greater healthcare cost for re-hospitalization within the 28-day follow-up period. Conclusion: Patients with delirium with a higher CCI or of a greater age should be carefully considered for immediate hospitalization from ED for further examination in order to reduce the risk of re-hospitalization and cost of healthcare.

        Safety evaluation of small-break LOCA with various locations and sizes for SMART adopting fully passive safety system using MARS code

        A safety evaluation of SMART adopting a fully passive safety system was performed for a small-break loss of coolant accident (SBLOCA) with various break locations and sizes using the MARS code. It is necessary for SMART, adopting a fully passive safety system composed of passive safety injection system (PSIS), automatic depressurization system (ADS), and passive residual heat removal system (PRHRS), to satisfy the passive safety performance requirements, i.e., the capability to maintain safe shutdown conditions for a minimum of 72h without AC power supply or operator action in the case of a design basis accident. A number of SBLOCAs of different locations and sizes were analyzed using the MARS code. The results of the break spectrum analyses showed that the collapsed liquid level inside the core support barrel is maintained high enough above the top of the core owing to the sufficient passive safety injection flow from the core makeup tank (CMT) and safety injection tank (SIT). Therefore, the core is not uncovered for 72h after the break without AC power supply or operator action, resulting in a continuous decrease of fuel cladding temperature throughout the transient.

        Open clusters are useful tools to investigate the structure and evolution of the Galactic disk. We have started a long-term project to obtain UBVI CCD photometry of open clusters which were little studied before, using the Doyak 1.8 m telescope of Bohyunsan Optical Astronomy Observatory in Korea. The primary goals of this project are (1) to make a catalog of UBVI photometry of open clusters, (2) to make an atlas of open clusters, and (3) to survey and monitor variable stars in open clusters. Here we describe this project and report the first results based on preliminary analysis of the data on four open clusters in the survey sample: Be 14, Cr 74, Biu 9, and NGC 2355. Isochrone fitting of the color-magnitude diagrams of the clusters shows that all of them are intermediate age to old (0.3-1.6 Gyrs) open clusters with moderate metallicity.

        Selective Enrichment of Conjugated Linoleic Acid Isomers in Their Mixtures Using Combined Chemical and Enzymatic Methods

        <P>The aim of this study was to selectively enrich t10,c12-conjugated linoleic acid (t10,c12-CLA) and c9,t11-CLA in commercial CLA mixtures using a combination of urea crystallization and lipase-catalyzed esterification. The objective of the urea fractionation is to remove saturated and monounsaturated fatty acids (FA) from the CLA mixtures. CLA-enriched free FA (FFA) mixtures containing 53.8 wt% t10,c12-CLA and 39.1 wt% c9,t11-CLA were produced from the CLA mixtures containing similar to 34 wt% each of the two CLA isomers by a urea crystallization using methanol and the urea-to-FA weight ratio of 2.5:1. The CLA-enriched FFA mixtures were partially esterified with dodecan-1-ol in a recirculating packed-bed reactor using an immobilized lipase from Candida rugosa to further enrich the t10,c12-CLA and c9,t11-CLA in an FFA fraction and an FA dodecyl ester fraction, respectively, under the optimal conditions, i.e., temperature, 20 A degrees C; FA-to-dodecan-1-ol molar ratio, 1:1; water content, 2 wt% of total substrates; residence time, 5 min; and reaction time, 24 h (for t10,c12-CLA enrichment) and 12 h (for c9,t11-CLA enrichment). After the reaction, an FFA fraction with 72.6 wt% t10,c12-CLA was obtained. Another FFA fraction with 62.0 wt% c9,t11-CLA was recovered after the saponification of the FA dodecyl ester fraction. The yields of t10,c12-CLA and c9,t11-CLA in the FFA fractions were 43.6 and 21.5 wt%, respectively, based on their initial weights in the CLA mixtures.</P>

      • Simultaneous Removal of Algae and Their Secondary Algal Metabolites from Water by Hybrid System of DAF and PAC Adsorption

        <P> The feasibility of a hybrid system consisting of powdered activated carbon (PAC) adsorption and dissolved air flotation (DAF) processes was examined for the simultaneous removal of algae (anabaena and mycrocystis) and their secondary algal metabolites (2-methylisoboneol and geosmin). Before studying the hybrid system, adsorption equilibrium and kinetics of organics (2-methylisoboneol and geosmin) produced from algae on three powdered activated carbons (wood-based, coal-based, coconut-based) were studied. The flotation efficiency of algae and PAC in DAF process was evaluated with zeta potential measurements. Interestingly, we found that the agglomerate of bubble and PAC particle can be successfully floated by DAF. In addition, the simultaneous removal of algae and organics (i.e., secondary algal metabolites) dissolved in water can be achieved by using the hybrid system of adsorption/DAF processes.</P>

      • 자유수면하에서 이동하는 2차원 수중익의 조파저항 및 양력계산

        Flow characteristics of a hydrofoil running under the free surface are investigated based on potential theory using singularity distribution techniques. In order to generate wave elevation, Rankine sources are distributed at a distance above the undisturbed free surface. Sources and vortices are distributed on the mean camber line of a foil to account for the thickness and lift. From the free surface boundary condition, Kutta-Joukowski theorem and Lagally theorem, wave elevation, lift force and wave resistance are calculated. It is shown that the calculated wave elevations of a NACA0012 foil is very similar to those of Duncan's experimental results. The wave resistance and lift force of a NACA0012 at high speeds are calculated and compared with Nakatake's numerical results.         스파터링 조건이 Co 계 박막합금의 비정질 형성범위 및 자기특성에 미치는 영향

        The value of atomic size effect for Co-base thin film alloys made by RF sputtering was about 0.06, and this value increased with decrease of cooling rate. With increasing the negative heat of mixing between the constituent elements the value of atomic size effect was linearly decreased, and this trend was interpreted as kinetic effect. Saturation magnetization had a constant value except for the case of high Ar pressure. Coercive force decreased with increasing the input power and time, and rapidly increased with increase of Ar pressure. Change of coercive force was discussed as effects of film thickness, residual stress and columnar structure. To get an amorphous thin film alloys with good soft magnetic properties, it is concluded that 300 W of input power and 10 m torr of Ar pressure were optimal conditions for sputtering, and Cu and cover glass preferred to polyimide as substrate material.

        비정질 Co-Zr-Mo 박막 합금의 자기적 성질

        The glass forming range, saturation magnetization and coercive force were studied for Co-Zr-Mo thin film alloys made by sputtering. The glass forming range was slightly expanded in the middle ratio of Zr and Mo. The relationship of magnetic moment to solute concentration could be interpreted by Friedel's theory for Co-Zr and Co-Mo within 10 at % Mo. Dependence of saturation magnetization to total solute concentration of Co-Zr-Mo alloys was similar to that of Co-Zr alleys. Coercive force of Co-Zr-Mo alloys were studied and discussed with the concept of magneto striation. Optimum composition as soft magnetic material was considered as Co_(89.5) Zr_8 Mo_(2.5) with 12.6 kG and 8 Oe.
